Instead of just shrugging, the technician downgraded the iOS version on my phone to one that actually worked and that *allowed* me to sell the hardware *I* paid for. I was asked to wait 15 minutes, wound up happily waiting 45, as she was clearly working to solve the problem. Again, she didn't give up, just started running the checklist, and this Graybeard with 30 years in IT appreciates that. The shop itself is in the Capitol of Sketch, 24th and Mission, but like all "scary" neighborhoods in SF, it vibes a whole lot worse than it really is.

They were able to complete this in half a day and I picked it up next morning. Odometer on my 2001 Toyota Camry was having issues on high temp days that cause the odometer to not display and the speedometer to remain only at zero. It seems to be a common issue with older 1997-2001 Camrys and the solution was to replace with a new resistor (I tried replacing the VSS, transmission solenoids, spark packs/wires/plugs, new alternator and battery) per a video on YouTube. They did a great job with the soldering of the new resistor and I put the odometer/speedometer back together and into the car with no issues. Now to see if this resolves my Camry issues! Big thank you to Andrea for her prompt replies to my questions and Carlos for ensuring that the techs knew what needed to be done!

If I could leave zero stars, I would! My husband and I…read morearranged to get new phones from AT&T over the phone, where one of those phones was to be picked up at this location. That phone ended up being my husband's. He went there to pick up and everything seemed to have gone smoothly. A few days later, his phone stopped working. He went to go ask what happened and it turns out that they reported the phone missing! Someone didn't register the serial number as being picked up, I guess. I don't know how these things work but all I know is that my husband has been dealing with a locked phone situation where he was told to call or text the manager at the Union St location everyday (he went there too, to see if they could help) for days to unlock it temporarily until the report went through but now we're being told that there's a limit to that! Also- texting the manager didn't always work to unlock his phone, by the way. Sometimes he won't get an answer or he'd get a delayed one and the phone would stay locked for that day. Very inconvenient as a working person. My husband did everything that they suggested and it seems that their advice was completely wrong at this point since he's reached the limit of unlocks. Who knows if that 10 day wait period was also inaccurate. Today, my husband stopped by AGAIN (he's been there like every other day at this point) and was told to call a number that supposedly could help him out, but it's looking like he'll need to get another phone number and phone at this point. All of this because of their disorganization! They've washed their hands of this situation and we're left with a phone that doesn't work. During this ordeal, my husband has had trouble communicating with his job and with me in an emergency situation, all because AT&T Mission can't get their shit together.
