Great experience at Applemeister! I accidentally dropped my phone, face down, on hardwood floor…read moreand shattered the screen. Thankfully everything else was working (I could hear my notifications coming through and phone ringing, but couldn't see anything). I was hoping it would be an easy screen replacement so that I wouldn't have to shell out big $$$ for a new phone altogether. I was checking on Yelp the next day for mobile phone repair in the area and found a few. Applemeister had the best reviews, so I started reading through them. Someone mentioned that they have a Groupon, so I bought it, and then realized it's the same price as when you walk in, so at least you're still getting a deal! The other 2 places locally that replace screens were $10 more. They don't open until 10:30am, but if you work/live close by, it's not an issue. I headed up that way and got there a little after 10:30. Robert wasn't there yet, so the guy who works at the souvenir shop (Applemeister is in the back end of the souvenir shop) called him, explained my situation and was able to take my phone and information and told me to come back at 4pm. Around 2pm Robert called me to make sure of the color screen I wanted (since my phone had an after-market white screen on it instead of the standard black - thankfully he had one white one in stock) and said it would be done in about 20-30 minutes. I had a long work day, so couldn't pick it up until 4pm. When I arrived, my phone looked fantastic! Great customer service by Robert, fast repairs, convenient location and priced well. I also bought a tempered glass screen in addition because I'm clumsy and this will hopefully prevent another broken screen! Highly recommend Applemeister if you live in San Francisco and need phone or tablet repair!

I dropped my shattered iPhone off and got to walk Chinatown for an hour! What fun. It's been ages since I've had the chance to take a stroll through CT. Since my phone was busted my husband called me on their business line to speak to me about my pick up time. After the repair, I bought a glass screen cover that Robert happily installed for me. My iPhone works perfect now. Considering how trashed it was, I was surprised it was still repairable. Since its been working perfect for the last two months, I've been holding out on picking up the new iPhone (to my husband's dread).

This place is a joke. I went to the Apple store to replace a lost phone. Because Apple couldn't…read moreverify my account (I couldn't get text verifications since I didn't have my phone) they told me to go to the nearest AT&T store to get a SIM card with my phone number on it and they could use an old phone so I could get texts to verify its me. MIKE the employee at the AT&T store had no idea what I was talking about and said the phone I was interested in doesn't use a SIM card. I said I understood that but Apple was going to use a phone that accepts a SIM card. Sooo... I go back to Apple (mind you I am paying for Ubers each way because I am disabled). Apple sells me the phone and tells me I have to go back to AT&T to get it up and running since Mike didnt give me the SIM card needed. I would have bout the phone at AT&T but they didnt have the one I wanted in stock. Great. I go back (in another Uber) and Mike tries to get my phone up and running. He starts in putting my info and hands me my phone while the info uploads. I see it wants to upload a (510) number. I explain that no, thats my old iWatch and that the PHONE number on my account (and has been for over 30 years) is (714). He types something in and 30 minutes later (he had no clue what he as doing and kept asking another employee for help) my phone is activated. Great (I think). I take ANOTHER Uber ride home (after unecessary back and forths because he is incomentent) Get home and see that I got an email that I added features to my account. Try to log in and he had kept my iWatch as the primary number in my account. I cant log in because it wants to send a verification code to my watch. My watch doesnt recieve these. Spend LITERALLY 3 hours on the phone with AT&T. Bless the heart of the guy who tried helping me. There is no way to fix it unless I go back to the AT&T store a THIRD time. I call Mike and explain what he did to try to save myself a trip. At first he gets defensive and said he didnt change anything. I explain that yes, he did. Maybe not on purpose, but this all started after he got involved in my account. He mentioned yesterday that he is new and asked me to leave him a good review. NOPE. I spent hours again today trying to resolve this. He said he spoke to his manager. They *allegedly* said there are other ways for me to fix this. I sent him screen shots to show him MY ONLY OPTION is to give the verification code sent to the iWatch (which doesnt work!) My account was never set up like this before he got involved. I attached a photo to prove it doesnt give me any other o[tions like Mike and allegedly his manager claimed. I need the code to get to the other options to log in. Mike refused to understand what he did to my account. I asked him to have his manager call me because I dont think he explained the situation correctly. He said I could not speak to his manager. When is that ever a thing that the manager wont speak to a customer. I honestly doubt he even told his manager about this. MIKE NEEDS TO BE FIRED OR AT LEAST RETRAINED. AT&T is going to lose a 30+ year customer over his lack of professionalism in dealing with his error. I know there is a learning curve in a new job, but his attitude was so awful I can not overlook it.

They replaced my SIM card within minutes. Helpful advice and friendly service! Thank you for saving…read moremy phone!

I went in after the Apple store told me they'd do nothing to help me get a backup, and the best they could do was replace my phone with a new one for $600+, without any of my data. Anthony immediately gave me advice about how to attempt a backup, and walked me through getting an iCloud setup and attempting a backup. Unfortunately, the phone didn't stay on for long enough for the backup to complete. So he took it and removed all the water, then did a backup before attempting ANY other repairs as I had told him the most important thing was my data (I didn't ask him to do this - he just listened and understood what my priorities were). Then Anthony tested the phone fully and told me what other repairs would be required. All in all, fixed my phone back to perfect working order for much less than the cost Apple were going to charge, PLUS they saved all my data. Sweet Memory were reliable, quick to answer questions, and regularly gave me updates on exactly how it was going. Phone problems really ruin your week, but they made it much less painful. Thanks so much guys!
