They were able to complete this in half a day and I picked it up next morning. Odometer on my 2001 Toyota Camry was having issues on high temp days that cause the odometer to not display and the speedometer to remain only at zero. It seems to be a common issue with older 1997-2001 Camrys and the solution was to replace with a new resistor (I tried replacing the VSS, transmission solenoids, spark packs/wires/plugs, new alternator and battery) per a video on YouTube. They did a great job with the soldering of the new resistor and I put the odometer/speedometer back together and into the car with no issues. Now to see if this resolves my Camry issues! The work I needed wasn't that complex or time-consuming: a 7th gen iPod Classic needed a new battery, and a 5th gen needed a replacement aftermarket clickwheel (and likely a new battery). I dropped them off as soon as I arrived in SF. The employees were really nice, but the repair experience was a disaster. There's just no excuse for having to spend ~7 hours of my time (inc. travel within SF) -- and 5 separate store visits (with my 2nd iPod only completed the morning of my return flight) -- to complete that work. I can't even attempt to reconstruct every single communication breakdown, contradicting message and minor screwup that this store made; pretty much every interaction was dysfunctional in some surprising way. In the interest of brevity, here's two of the more memorable experiences: * When I told them clearly in person that my 5th gen iPod needed a new clickwheel (and likely needed a new battery), they only took care of the clickwheel. When I came to pick it up, they acknowledged that the employee didn't write down that I also wanted the battery checked out. When I followed up by text, they explained that the technician said the battery was fine, and didn't need to be replaced. But it wasn't: it lasted 10-15 minutes on a full charge, requiring me to bring it back and pick it up yet again, for them to replace the battery as they should have in the first place. * For my 7th gen iPod, I spent nearly an hour minutes hanging out at their store: their employee apparently misplaced the iPod I was told was ready to be picked up, and they couldn't find it. Again, there were dramatically more snafus than these two. The store charged $150 for this work (with my even providing 1 of the 2 batteries used). They offered no discounts whatsoever for their numerous, time-wasting errors. For future repairs, I won't ever be returning here.

And he wasn't trying to push for anything or try to make a sale. He was so respectful! And when it came to fixing my phone, he gave me accurate timelines and updated me about the progress of my phone. He fixed my phone and was able to get it to turn it back so that I could transfer the data to my new phone. He's great! I was unlucky because it's rare to get a defective screen, but I did. The screen kept freezing up and I texted Lew - he was so responsive and tried to help me trouble shoot. When nothing was working he made another appt with me and fixed it for me super fast and he noticed my iPhone case was a bit broken on the corner and also gave me a new case since I had to make 2 trips. Instead of just shrugging, the technician downgraded the iOS version on my phone to one that actually worked and that *allowed* me to sell the hardware *I* paid for. I was asked to wait 15 minutes, wound up happily waiting 45, as she was clearly working to solve the problem. Again, she didn't give up, just started running the checklist, and this Graybeard with 30 years in IT appreciates that. The shop itself is in the Capitol of Sketch, 24th and Mission, but like all "scary" neighborhoods in SF, it vibes a whole lot worse than it really is.

Always transfer ur data and files onto Micro SD cards tape it down and save the cards in a case. Don't put ur electronics in direct sun lites use flash lites to see the issues. Use a coffee table to avoid spills spilling liquids.

He ordered the fan, which arrived within seven days, and was able to fix the problem within a couple of hours while also assisting walk-ins. During the wait for the fan to come, I was able to take my laptop home to use if needed, although Evan advised that I limit usage to no more than 30 minutes at a time to prevent overheating and use it only for essential tasks. Additionally, Evan is a conscientious person. I left a gift that I received from my nephew at his store. While Evan was away for the weekend, he coordinated with his mom and me to ensure I could pick it back up.
