Store manager Ezekiel is very competent and efficient. Managing multiple calls and clients at the same time, very pleasant to talk to as well. Definitely trouble shoot any issues you have with Verizon corporate with this guy. Don't expect help for third party Verizon carriers or Verizon prepaid. They refuse to prorate and are charging me for the full month of October. No wonder people are leaving Verizon in droves. I recently had "one of those" experiences where I couldn't get anything to go right. My phone had died (bricked) over the weekend and I wanted a specific model (what?! :D) that had to be shipped. When it arrived I went about setting it up, but it kept insisting I use a code sent to my old (dead) phone to activate it. When I sought tech support online, I was told to sign in, which required a code be sent to my (dead) phone. Definitely something Verizon needs to work out (email, anyone?). Instead, I went to the Verizon store at 768 Market Street and spoke with Daniela, who was INCREDIBLY helpful. She knew exactly what to do to solve my problem, while also maintaining a perfectly professional demeanor even though I know I was probably being a total weirdo about my phone frustrations, followed by my overly effusive appreciation at having my (new) phone restored. I have serious beef with the manager on duty at this location on the late afternoon of Friday, August 1. Verizon customer service as a company is famously bad but this man truly does not give a blank. I brought in a phone to trade in during a big promotion, heavily advertised on TV. They gave me no choice but to have the phone delivered through Asurion, their insurance company, and told me I had to exchange the old one in store. I selected this as closest and indicated that online. When the Asurion guy came with the new phone he told me just to follow the script on the phone, but no one mentioned that I had to disable the FindMy app on the old one first, restoring the phone to factory settings wouldn't do that. So I walk into the store and eventually the manager sees me and disappears for a bit and then comes back to tell me he can't take the exchange because of the Find My app and shows me how to tell it was still there. I ask why the Asurion guy didn't mention it, he says they're not Asurion. He says maybe Apple can help me and says well the good news is, you still have 29 days to return it. Three major problems. First, I could have easily fixed it right there using the store's WiFi, as he either did or should have known. I went home and figured it out myself, it wasn't that hard, but you would think he would have tried to help me with it instead of forcing another trip. Second, he didn't mention that the online process was completely wrong and I couldn't return it in store, I had to take it to a UPS store. I found this out only after I went back and a nice smart young kid told me they'd seen this problem with this promotion and sent me an email with a QR code. I asked why the manager didn't say anything when I was there the first time, he didn't know, clearly the manager didn't check and didn't care. Third, the likely reason the manager didn't even try to help me was that he was completely distracted by one of his employees, a young woman, whose principal task for the day appears to have been to go to SuperDuper across the street and buy dinner for everyone. For 15 straight minutes she tracked down every employee to tell them she had bought french fries, she really wanted everyone to know about those fries. Then she sat down at a customer seat and proceeded to eat bags of french fries while chattering constantly about french fries and her personal issues. When it was my time to talk to the manager, after sitting next to her smelling her and listening to her babble about french fries, she interrupted me to tell the manager a) that her personal problem was fixed, b) to make sure he knew that she had bought french fries, and 3) to thank him for being her daddy (that's exactly what she said, he seemed confused by that). Incompetent, unprofessional, uncaring, unhelpful management. read more

I purchased a phone cover and it never came. I texted several times. They kept me on the phone for hours each time, repeatedly making me repeat information over and over. At one point they told me the phone cover was delivered and I was wrong. I finally called, and after two transfers and another hour I got a refund. Or I hope it comes. I was a loyal Verizon customer for many many years, and this is how they treat their valued customers: I have a disconnected account so I had to re-register for this post. I left Verizon about a year ago for Mint (same exact service for a fraction of the price). I then found out that Verizon continually charged me for ~7 months after discontinuing my service. It took me about 2 months of terrible customer service calls to convince them of their mistake. Why 2 months? Well the recorded conversation of me cancelling was not enough, or the fact that the device they were charging me for did not use any data during that time. They said I was at fault for not noticing that they were charging me during all that time. As frustrating as that logic is, they finally decided to refund me, which I made sure they verified this refund with an email stating all the facts. Then the refund never came. This led to another yet another ~month of dealing with customer service (who was always someone outside the US so they could save money and pay less). They claim they never sent any email and don't have access to any notes/emails that they send?? So I took time off from work to go to a physical a store to get the email verified and posted on my account. They now acknowledge that the email and refund was valid and that the refund would hit my account within 3-4 hours (again I have email evidence of this claim). Here we are 3 weeks after this lie, I have still not received my refund and Verizon refuses to do anything about it. They say they sent the money and it is the banks fault, but the bank says no such refund has even been posted/submitted. After 4 months of lies, I am now starting legal proceedings as Verizon has demonstrated they are willing to bully and lie to their customers because they have the time and money to do so. I will never go back to Verizon and my new mission is to tell my story to everyone as a warning. DO NOT use Verizon, after telling my story to others, it seems to be very common theme. Use any other provider, they have the same service at a FRACTION of the price. read more

Online Verizon Experience has us switching services! Dont go with them T-Mobile is much better! Verizon, I expected better. As a loyal customer who pays on time every month via autopay, I'm shocked at how poorly I was treated. When my phone broke, I thought I could simply switch the SIM card to a new one. Instead, Verizon assumed my phone was stolen and shut off my service, leaving me without phone access for three days. I spent hours on the phone trying to resolve the issue, only to be disconnected twice by customer service agents who told me to "hold the line." The worst part? I had to send in a photo of myself and my ID just to prove I wasn't a thief. I've never felt so disrespected by a company in my life. The entire experience was beyond frustrating--it was maddening. It felt like I lost a year of my life dealing with this unnecessary stress. Everytime I call Verizon, they ask if they can use my voice as a reference for security, and I always say yes. Yet, despite all of this, they still made me send in a photo of myself and my ID to prove my phone wasn't stolen. After over 20 years with 2 lines with Verizon, I was told today that I would not be able to get any coverage in Mexico (via TravelPass) unless I upgraded my account to the latest 5G, expensive plan. This is a story about the helpful staff in the Market Street store. Earlier this week, my old phone broke. Seeking a replacement, I walked to the Verizon store to examine my options. Kevin helped me replace my beloved (and broken) iPhone 7. I needed to upgrade, but also wanted a phone with a small size. He assured me that the compact SE would meet my requirements and deliver a massive upgrade from the 7. He was right. Here's the kicker: During the checkout process, Kevin also found a promotion so the phone ended up costing wayyyy under $200! WOW! I was in dire need of a new service provider since my previous att service was not working at all . When I started my new Verizon service I explained my situation hoping that Verizon would help me . But instead of helping me in my situation Verizon partnered up with att and engaged in organized criminal activity against me involving credit card fraud . Every weekend since I got my Verizon service I had to go to the Verizon store because Verizon had illegally put a sim lock on my phone without my knowledge and the service just stops working for a day or two . During this period my stolen phone which was an att phone was used to order replace all my major credit cards including Citibank capital one and Bank of America. When I went to the banks to question why my cards were replaced without informing me I was escorted out without giving any reason. I have never experienced racism first hand like this do I was really shocked. I tried asking for help to call 911 but no staff at Bank of America helped me to even call the cops . In addition to that my Verizon service does not support calling capital one or citi bank. As a result I have not been able to report fraud at these companies. All of this credit card fraud is being conducted using my stolen iPhone 12 Pro Max which att has refused to deactivate despite me reporting the device as stolen . I had also reported the stolen device to SFPD but SFPd southern station told me that they do not have the capability to search a phone with imei. Even after I informed sfpd that I was able to locate the device using find my iPhone in iCloud sfpd refused to help me telling me that since I don't have suspect information they will not be able to help me . I am really disappointed that a leading service provider would blatantly support organized criminal activity being conducted against its customer even today. These people should go to jail for what they have done in aiding and abetting the criminals who stole my identity. read more

He was able to help reduce my early cancellation fee on the services the other person did. I went to another store and they quoted me a purchase price of the new IPHONE of $1500 and a monthly for my four devices up to $205 a month. Left the store to think about it. I asked the cost and it said they run about $100, I asked him what my monthly cost would be if I were to purchase the XS after he did the math, my monthly payment went up $2.34 a month. I am a wife writing from my deceased husband's google account. He died October 7. Ever since I surrendered his phone to Verizon, it's been a sheer nightmare. They began charging me over a $1,000 and threatening late fees (for the phone I surrendered for a credit of $421). This ordeal began in October, and here it is almost January. They've had his phone for over 2 months now. I have made approximately 12 phone calls, drove to 2 locations, sent a certified letter, sent about 6 emails, and filed a complaint with the Attorney General's Office. As of today, my bill is still incorrect. They admit their staff made errors, but are not willing to do anything to make amends. I've spent countless hours. If I could give them below 1 star, I would. Don't Believe the Hype About FIOS. We changed from Spectrum to FIOS because my wife's business required a more stable internet signal, and because Spectrum takes its customers for granted by jacking up fees virtually every other month. But, sadly, Verizon FIOS is simply dreadful. The first sign of trouble was my initial phone call to set up service. No one ever picked up and I gave up. So, I visited a nearby Verizon store whose friendly staff set up service. While the internet signal is more stable, it's hardly perfect. Service inexplicably goes down at least once a week. Apart from that, it is indeed refreshingly fast. My main gripe is with FIOS TV: 1) While I had signed up for the full package, it turns out that I cannot access any local stations on my computer, a fact that Verizon reps somehow failed to inform me. And I've been unable to find out why this is. 2) Worse, FIOS inexplicably drops a program every 15 minutes, or so, requiring me to re-log in. This drives me to distraction. No reason as to why they do this. 3) Verizon devilishly divides TV channels among its various packages so that, for example, you receive CNN in one package, but not MSNBC. Or, you can get the History Channel in a package, but not AHC, or the Military History Channel. And on and on it goes. Clearly, this separating of related channels among pay packages is cynically aimed at coercing the customer to opt for the most expensive all-inclusive package. I echo the scores of other reviewers' complaints about Verizon FIOS customer service. My initial effort to contact them went nowhere. When I messaged customer service over a technical issue, I immediate got a rep, who was very helpful. Trouble is, his promise to ensure follow-up was empty. No action was taken. Total waste of time. I had none of these issues with Spectrum. Again, my main beef with them was their arbitrary fee increases. Bottom line: I cannot recommend FIOS. It's not worth the frustrations. Stay away. read more

I have been a Verizon customer for more than 25 years. Verizon is not what it used to be in the past. Customer service went down to hell in their stores. They are not friendly, and they talk back when telling them that they are not listening. I had a bad experience in this location about two years ago. No one could do anything to help me. Luckily, a friend of mine helped with my issue. The staff seems to be unfriendly and not welcoming. The demeanor is like, "I am here to help you, but if you do not like my answer, you can leave" without the customer being rude. I am glad I am not the only complaining about their staff here on Yelp. Today, I went and explained what my issue was with a second line I have. The individual immediately told me that there was nothing he could do. I explained to him that I spent a few hours on two different occasions (October 14th and November 1st). I asked to speak to the supervisor, and his response was, "He will tell you the same thing." He did not want to listen, and as I was talking to him, I told him that he was not listening to me. He finally said that he was going to get his supervisor. As he was getting his supervisor, I told him that he needed to learn to listen, and he snapped and said that I needed to listen. I asked him, "could you please that again?" and he snapped. After waiting for almost 10 minutes, the manager came out without the employee. I believe they were thinking that I was going to leave. He brought the security guard. He repeated what the employee had said. The manager was more detailed, explaining why they could disconnect any lines from the store. They could have done more. The employee or manager could have called the 800 number to assist me because no one else could. They two employees dong walking around the store without customers. Whatever happened to go the extra mile by calling and finding out why the 800 number customer service could not help me. I used to like Verizon customer service a few years ago. They use to be number one in customer services. Sad... I will never go into this store. I am not the only one complaining about this location. The staff in this location needs to be trained in providing customer service, particularly when the customer is not getting help from anyone else.
