D.J. Was very helpful in upgrading me to the new IPhone, IPad and Apple Watch. I also got home internet. I would recommend the service here.

Posting this to raise awareness about the AT&T store located at 2135 Union Street, San Francisco, CA 94123. We were both served by Braden D. We are just traveling around USA so we both wanted to buy a prepaid unlimited data plan. One was working fine and another one received no data. When we went back to the outlet again to request a check on the issue, the store mentioned that they are unable to assist us as a manager is required for resolving the issue and there wasn't any on duty. We were then directed to a second location with a manager. Next, we went to another store located at 851 Clay St, San Francisco, CA 94108. Turns out, there was a manager that was on duty. Upon checking our account, he realised the previous retail associate had bought the wrong plan. 1st plan - Braden from the first outlet had mistakenly activated a 15GB limited plan, leaving only $5 remaining in the account. 2nd plan - Plan received insufficient top-up and was therefore never activated. Not sure what he did. We were both charged $69 usd for our initial plan. At the second store, they told us AT&T does not provide refunds (even if its a mistake made by the retail associate). Frustrated that we had no access to data, we repurchased the unlimited data plan again which override our initial plan that we bought. We tried requesting AT&T to refund us the mistake that their own staff had made. Their support team kept redirecting us to different department. Horrible experience. Will be posting this on other websites with hope to raise awareness about the store and retail associate.

A month ago, my friend told me he wanted to switch from AT&T to T-Mobile because they offered him better terms and a free phone. I've been a Verizon customer for almost 3 years, and I told my friend that I could ask what Verizon could offer him and possibly add him to my family plan so we could all save money, since the more lines you have, the bigger the discount. I called Verizon, and the representative assured me that Verizon could match those terms (a free phone if my friend switched from AT&T). We received the phone, and a month later it turned out that it wasn't free. I called Verizon 10 times, and each time they assured me they would make it free, but nothing happened. Today, I asked to speak with a manager, and the manager told me he couldn't do anything and that the phone would not be free. I said that in that case I don't need the phone and that I had been deceived. The second situation: about a month ago my home internet device broke, and I went to this Verizon store to exchange it, but they closed my old line and opened a new one (I didn't know about this and didn't ask for it). Because of that, I lost my legacy (grandfathered) price and my loyalty discount. The manager wasn't very helpful here either, as he said he couldn't restore my previous terms. Please be extremely cautious with this company. Now we are looking to switch to T-Mobile because they treat their customers better and keep their promises.

(It doesn't say this anywhere online it's a fun surprise the associate will tell you at the store). We forgot the pin, so I was unable to pick up a simple online order that I placed and paid for in full online hours beforehand. Even with full access to my Verizon account and my ID etc. Walked in, sat down for 45 minutes, paid twice for parking, left empty handed. It was enough for me to draw the line with Verizon completely. The service has gone completely to the dogs anyways and I barely get service in a lot of areas here in San Francisco. My friends with T Mobile get better coverage, which is super embarrassing for Verizon. I've been a customer here for 15+ years and I have never had such a hard time picking up a phone or getting service. The customer service phone lines are no help either. The associate was nice enough but obviously he couldn't help me without the pin. Be warned.

At first, we thought it was our pipes or water connections, but after inquiring with a plumber neighbor, we determined it was leaking from our washing machine. Since we had the other machine for 10+ years, we just brought a new one instead of trying to find a repair person because there's no guarantees/warranty. Happened to be around Black Friday -- so we took advantage of the Sales! Pricing was competitive, we brought a new washing machine and add on: -delivery -installation, -extra parts (hose) -take away old washing machine All with some reasonable additional fees. A few days later, the delivery guys came while I was at work, but hubby was home and all got done. One team took away the old washing machine while the other team did the delivery + install. Great communication as they were texting me with ETA entire time. I would recommend Best Buy for appliance purchases.

Monkeybrains blows that standard out of the water. I've been using Monkeybrains internet for a little over a year now, which feels like the appropriate amount of time to decide whether the internet is good or if it's just pretending. In the past year I can only remember one outage that lasted longer than about five minutes. Compared to my previous providers, that already puts it way ahead. I stream, upload large video files for editing, and occasionally do some online gaming. Those are all situations where bad internet immediately ruins your day. Dropping a connection while uploading a 10GB video or during a dungeon raid is the digital equivalent of stepping on a Lego. Fortunately, Monkeybrains has been very reliable. I actually can't comment on customer service because I've never had to call them. Either I'm lucky, or the service just quietly works. The price has felt worth it and the performance has been consistently solid. Final verdict: the best compliment I can give my internet provider is that I mostly forget it exists.

Anywho, this review is for Monkeybrains. They are a local company (i.e. quick and easy to get someone on the phone if need be) and reasonably priced. You do have to provide your own router, so plan accordingly. Never experienced service interruptions or any other issues in the 2 years I had them as my ISP. Sonic, however, crapped out literally the same day the techs were done installing it. They also have to drill into the infrastructure, so now I have all these bolts sticking out of the walls, uglifying my kitchen space. Thanks, Sonic. (Go with Monkeybrains)
