The girls asked me to pay $29.99 just to reactivate my line after an iPhone repair at the Apple Store which is 100% free normally . I refused and I had to wait the next day to go to another location, a legit Verizon store, who did it right away without asking anything. Also I didn't liked the attitude of one of the girl who asked me questions about what did I do to my phone to broke it ... the ton of her voice made me feel uncomfortable and it's not her business anyway.. read more

So far the experience at this store has been absolute nightmare. Do NOT ever go to any Victra store. Go to a corporate store or order online. Jesse and the other employees are definitely under the influence of goodness knows what drugs. He messed up every single part of the transaction. It has cost me over $4k so far, hours on the phone with corporate and it's still not fixed. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY. All they care about is commissions. I literally almost died from all the stress this has caused especially as someone who is disabled. The medical bills, lost time at work, and pain and suffering these horrible employees cause is NOT worth it. Go ANYWHERE else except these substandard Verizon stores. It took over 3 hours and he messed up EVERYTHING then these stupid employees just laugh, refuse to fix their mistakes and "offer" to just do the same thing again. This is NOT a laughing matter. Horrible place. Victra needs to be sued and I know I am NOT the only customer who has had this type of experience here and at other stores. If this company wants to stay in business they need to do the following: -Fire ALL employees at the Lombard location -Randomly drug testing the new employees. Terminate anyone who doesn't pass -Send secret shoppers to quality check the performance of employees -Do training with employees and stop incentivizing just commissions. Today Mike was awesome & helped me add my friend to my plan!! He let us know all the promos & got us the best deal. We added her to my line & got a free iPhone 13 !! Mike knows his way around the promos and is super knowledgeable, professional, personable, and funny. Also saw his coworker Yasmine doing a great job helping out an elderly lady get her bill situated and she was super patient with her and good at explaining everything. This store is super chill and easy & bear Verizon location I've been to. Mike is good at multi tasking and was able to take care of me and a couple clients at the same time quickly and efficiently. I've had good experiences at other Verizon stores but this one is the absolute worst. I received a new pixel that needed a SIM chip installed. The people at Verizon told me to take it to any Verizon store and it would just take a minute to get a new chip. I went to this one and the guy said "I don't know why they told you that. We never install SIM chips." So I called Verizon again and they were equally confused, saying "all Verizon stores can install SIM chips." I took it to the one on Union and, sure enough, they said "sure, no problem" and it took about a minute. It turns out the guy just didn't want to bother with anything that he didn't earn a commission on. The other time I went to the store was for a warranty issue with the phone. The guy (same guy) was no help whatsoever and just kept saying I should call Verizon instead of talking to him about it. Later I learned that he had changed my account to add a premium service I hadn't asked for. Once again, he was useless but I eventually got it worked out by going elsewhere. READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE GOING!!! I had a lousy experience at this branch. While I was there I read the reviews and wish I had before I went. So there were only two employees there and they were both busy however I had a scheduled appointment. It wasn't totally about the 30 minute wait, it was much more about the way both the employees handled my situation, poorly. After sitting there for a half hour, I scheduled an appointment with the Van Ness Verizon which is a million times better. I should have known better when there were no appts today on Van Ness and this one had a ton of appointments available same day. I had a relatively simple thing I needed done which I'll ultimately get handled in a few days on Van Ness. The reason I gave this store the worst rating I could is neither employee was skilled in showing empathy for how rotten my experience was. They both came up with excuses of why I potentially had done something incorrect or I wasn't in the system (both of which were untrue we found out). They also then questioned if I even had an appointment which was also untrue. As I left, I apologized (no idea why) and said thank you (no idea why) the one employee said thank you. Which while nice was off the mark. I wanted either one (or preferably both) of them to simply tell me that they could imagine how frustrating it must be. Instead they asked me to feel bad for them because of staffing or the system. What I did hear as I sat there is they are both committed upsellers. It makes sense because the store actually looks like the set from the movie Boiler Room. I should have known better and now I do. If you are looking to interact with Verizon in person, I'd strongly suggest the Van Ness location and ignore this authorized reseller location. read more

This is long overdue. The worst sales experience I have ever had anywhere. They deserve 10 negative stars. I bought a Pixel phone here and switched to Verizon only becasue Sprint was bought by T-Mobile and now Verizon is the only service working in my apartment. I will spare you all of the ridiculous details because that would require me to write a novel but suffice to say that I was supposed to be given a $700 credit for the trade in of my old phone at the time of sale but the Salesman was too incompetent to do that. A million phone calls put into Verizon later, it's November and I'm still being charged monthly for the phone. At this point my only recourse is to sue the company. Thankfully my boyfriend is a lawyer. Avoid this store like the plague! I alos want to address the bimodal rating of this store. If you have something simple that can be done fairly easily and you go first thing in the morning you will likely have a good and perhaps an excellent experience. If you need anything complex like switching carriers and buying a new phone and other accessories for the phone and or you come any time other than first thing in the morning just don't go here. The guy running the place did not have anyone else working in the store besides him when I went there so you're going to be waiting forever to get to talk to him even if there's only one other person in the store. He's very into making as much money off of you as he can even if it's not in your best interest and he will cut corners wherever he can to make a sale regardless of the immense headaches it will cost you in the future. read more

This location should have more staff during the weekends specially Sundays but instead we were told he's the only one there today. Amazing. I also found out this is not an official Verizon store. Just like Verizon customer service, this store has none at all. I recent ordered a phone online through a live agent for in store pick up. This was the store assigned to me. The order was placed on Friday Dec 11th at 11:45a. I paid for the phone, and signed my agreement. They said I would get a confirmation for when the phone was ready in an hour. I got a confirmation that the order was placed and being processed at the store. After an hour I contacted the store and they informed me that they sold the phone. The phone that was already confirmed for myself, and paid form. They said it should have been canceled, however they never did. Causing excess issues with Verizon for me trying to order a new phone. This store had no concerns, issues, or sympathy for the issue. They just said oh well they shouldn't have done that. This store is horrible, poor customer service, and no remorse for what they do and how it effects other patrons. All they care about is making a buck and commission. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE AN STD It would've been faster for me to drive from CA to Oregon and get a phone, then it would be if I tried to get a phone from here again. I've never seen a level of incompetence like this place, it was embarrassing. Went in to buy a Google Pixel, super simple. I had a question on the difference between monthly payments and the device payment, and how it works by switching contacts/photos. Took ~15-30 min to speak with a rep, not a big deal, but for the next 45 min, the guy couldn't figure out where the phone was in the system. His manager finally comes in to tell me that can't sell the phone and that I'd have to pay $100 extra to get the same phone, but with more memory. After rudely telling me "there's always the other store on Van Ness" I said screw it, give me the larger memory. For the next hour, the original rep couldn't process the order....how hard is it to make that sale?? After 2 hours of BS, I left...without a phone... This place is understaffed, undertrained, and underperforms--avoid at all cost. read more

Izzie is the BOMB!!!! My husband and I came here the other day wanting to add him to my Verizon Plan, and Izzie is the first person that greeted us when we walked in. On top of being a genuinely nice and friendly person, he was super knowledgeable and knew exactly how to proceed. He made the whole process swift and effortless. He was extremely patient while my husband was trying to figure out the PIN # on his old T Mobile account, and had an awesome solution for us when we couldn't figure it out/get his phone number switched over. I've experienced Verizon Reps who seriously try to push products/extra data/ish you don't need in an effort to make some extra commission, and while I know that's the name of the Capitalistic game, Izzie was OUTSTANDING when it came to our needs. He assessed our current data usage, and didn't try to push a giant plan we don't currently need at the moment. He did a lot to help us, and we are grateful he was there for us. I had an iPhone plan issue, and they tried to send me to Apple to deal with the problem rather than actual Verizon. They are not a Verizon store, but a supplier. Meaning, they won't take any questions or concerns about your phone, plan, etc and handle them. This was too incredible an experience not to share. I spent most of the afternoon with Verizon and didnt get anywhere. The Verizon store one guy who would not make eye contact with me bc he and his girlfriend (in pajamas) were watching the Giants game on a big screen. When I finally got his attention, he told me (without much thought) that it was a hardware problem bc he saw that my network was fine. He told me to go to Apple. I was upgrading a phone and turning in an iPad that I never used. I was there right as they open the store. Israel was super helpful. He transferred all of my information to the new phone which took some time. While I was waiting he recommended a coffee shop around the corner. When I came back he had taken care of everything. Could not have been easier. Now, I have a snazzy new phone and I didn't have to deal with any of the headache of transferring information. Works perfectly. Hands down the worst customer service experience I've ever had. What started as a trade-in for the iPhone 7 that would get me $450 credit ended more than a month later with my customer service rep, Jessica telling me they're unable to give me any credit for my device. Now I'm stuck with my old device and no credit after paying full retail for the iPhone 7. Jessica and her team deferred any actual work from the beginning, giving me poor instructions on how to trade in my device on my from home. When I returned to the store explaining why I couldn't submit the required info for the trade-in they eventually admitted they could do it for me. After more than a month of store visits, phone calls, and emails, Jessica sent me an email informing me that "there's nothing more they can do" and that I should visit a corporate store. I genuinely feel sorry for anyone that has to deal with their incompetence and lack of caring. Do the smart thing and go to a corporate-owned store. read more

After spending several hours over several days attempting to resolve a billing issue created by the misleading sales people in this non-corporate store, I have decided to take my business to another provider. I appreciate the geographical coverage Verizon offers, but I cannot do business with a company, nor any individual store, whom I cannot trust. I went into this store with a battery problem on my Samsung Note 3, and the manager convinced me to get a mobile hotspot and a tablet. He said that my monthly bill would actually decrease five dollars each month with an extra gigabyte of data. I specifically asked if I would be surprised by an extended contract or additional hidden fees. He said that it would not cost me anything extra and I would save the five dollars each month. Now it is three months later and I've just gotten off the phone with Verizon Customer Service after ninety minutes. They agreed that a "sub-level" was incorrectly added to my account since you cannot get unlimited voice and text on a jetpack or tablet. But, they were not able to eliminate the past due amount. They moved the jetpack up to my main level, added the twenty dollar a month fee, canceled my tablet (I only used it for a couple of weeks since it wasn't of use to me.), and I still had to pay the early termination fee. I will never step foot into this store again. Be wary of what you get into if you choose to conduct business here. read more

These guys know what they're talking about. It's rare to find phone dealers who just give you the straight answer and reasonable options. Most of the time, other places just want you to buy the most expensive plan and the nicest phone, but these guys consider your actual needs and offer suggestions of ones that would fit. And its understandable when they don't have the stock available as do most stores like for the HTC Incredible, since its such a popular item, but when I'm ready to upgrade, I'll come back to them. read more

I went to the Verizon store and got the best service possible from Mr Joshua Swift. I am 74 years old and know nothing about smart phones. Here is my list of problems: the flashlight app, a flash for the camera, reading the phone in direct sunlight, putting g mail on it and deleting unwanted files. Mr. Swift was fantastic : patient, informative and expert. We also talked about the new Galaxy 8, and I can see that I will be bringing back my family to get new phones and a new plan. read more

Buyer beware, is all I can say. I was dumb enough to fall for it, but I didn't know that people even used sales tricks like that anymore. I was told a bunch of stuff was included in the price they quoted me for my phone upgrade, only to find out that additional lines had been set up without my knowledge and activation fees charged. It took a lot of time to go back to the store, which isn't really Verizon, but an independent company who is authorized to represent them. I was charged over $100 in fees to cancel everything they had set up without my knowledge, and even the 14 day customer satisfaction guarantee that Verizon offers won't protect you. Fortunately, when I talked to Verizon customer service afterwards, they reversed all of the line initiation charges, which got me back some of my money, and they said unfortunately they get a lot of calls like this from unhappy customers who have ended up paying for something they didn't actually want, and weren't even aware they had bought. It certainly didn't help that the store manager was rude and defensive, and never once apologized for the miscommunication or the bad experience. Just be sure to verify multiple times and ask for a price breakdown. If there's a promotion or something additional included, I would not accept it. This place brings new meaning to "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". My new phone bill is almost 30% less a month than the original price they quoted me, when all the so-called free stuff was included. read more

Mike saved me. I arrived 15 minutes after they had closed but my face of desperation convinced him to open the shop again. I got the "green line of death" across my cell phone screen at 5:45pm - an iphone X that I got in 1/18 from Apple. I had insurance on it from Verizon. It took less than 30 minutes to get ahold of Verizon tech support with Mike's help and I was shipped out a new phone to arrive within 48 hrs. THANK YOU MIKE. read more

The store is small, but they have what you need - without the ridiculous lines. I needed an ear piece that was out of stock, they told me exactly when it would be in, I came back for it - it was there, they were so helpful and nice. Very accommodating. I also had gotten sand in my phone, they gave me some helpful tips to try - honesty - before I go and buy a new one. I really appreciated the honest advice. DO NOT GO HERE!! Scam artist from top to bottom!! They will tell you they're helping you out and making your bill cheaper, while also "including" devices and accessories you do not need(which you end up paying for anyways because he snuck it on your monthly bill), and take advantage of anyone who may not be too "cell phone savvy". Claimed I didn't come close to using all my data, so he was going to make it cheaper for me and bring me down a notch, and that I'd be fine. Well turns out I was lied to and I was going over on my data EVERY MONTH SINCE SEEING HIM and was getting hit with 30-45 bucks a month for going over. Went in today to try to straighten it out, and after waiting for almost an hour they couldn't even look up my account without a PIN number..? Also said my zip code wasn't working..? IDIOTS. I was then told to go to the Union St. store and they could do it. Apparently the Union St location is a CORPORATE location, and Lombard IS NOT, and they totally helped me out! Popped into the Lombard Street store. What an excellent job the managerMichael Lavelle does. I arrived, flustered, in a rush and not really knowing what I needed. Mr Lavelle was polite, professional and extremely knowledgeable. I was so impressed. Top service delivered with absolute skill and panache. He was very engaging and made me feel like my problem was being resolved quickly and efficiently. Even my children commented on how calm and smiley he was. That goes a long way when someone like me bowls through the door in a panic. Well done Verizon for finding someone like Mr Lavelle. Parking outside is a real plus too. This store is not a corporate store. I didn't know the difference until I paid for new iPhone from Verizon online, and piCked it up at this location. After one week, I decided to return the phone. brought it back to this same store within fourteen days. I was told to have a seat. While the one employee was working with some customers, she kept trying to convince me to keep the phone. She had my invoice in front of her which clearly showed I paid online. After 1.5 hours of waiting and her speaking with me trying to convince me to keep the phone, she then tells me she can't help me with the return because the phone was paid for online. Why didn't she tell me this upfront? If they can't do what a corporate store does, that should be made clear to its customers. The service is too slow to and the waits are too long to discover its limitations after the fact. read more

Not happy with Verizon customer service at all. They have been charging us $10 a month for the last four years for service to a Samsung tablet that I never got, not did we ever use the number assigned. It was some scheme that the authorized retailer Verizon on Lombard St.in SF came up with to upgrade us to a new phone. They said it was a promotion. I never received the tablet nor used the assigned phone number. Even after the contract was over Verizon continued to charge us. Over the years I have asked Verizon about our plan and they always said we were in the right plan and paying the lowest rate, even though we were being charged for a tablet we did not have and a line that we did not use. When I asked Verizon to credit us they said they could only credit us for the past three months not the last four fraudulent years of charges for nothing. My boyfriend and I came in while visiting since his phone was having service issues. We encountered hurdle after hurdle with getting password and compatibility issues left and right. Josh the store manager stuck with us and didn't give up. He made sure to offer us every discount and even found unused items on our plan to remove. Phone issues don't resolve quickly or easily.
