We had gotten Frontier Internet/Comms for a primary phoneline that we later discontinued. Even after we cancelled the phone number and told Frontier that we no longer need their service we continued to see charges (upwards of $400) and being charged for a phone number that does NOT EVEN exist. After being with them on the phone for 4 hours all to communicate that we want this line cancelled and to reverse charges that they had charged us WELL after we indicated that we do not need them - we CONTINUED to get charged. Frontier is the WORST!!!!!! They had offered a tool to block incoming calls, specifically by the number. I have had this service for several years. This week I tried to block a number that keeps calling me at 6:30 a.m. The Frontier system wouldn't work. It said I could only block 10 numbers, but I already had blocked 21. The user manual says I can block 100 and in past years I could definitely block for than 20 because I had up to 40 at one time. I have called in previously when I was unable to add numbers even though I was well below 100 and Frontier fixed the problem, so I could block more numbers. What's interesting is that the first person I talked to, on April 27, 2026 (Ryan) said I could only block 10, than he changed it to 20. I called and talked to another person, Thabo on April 27, 2026 and he said I could block up to 100. He said he would call me back to confirm when it's been fixed. He never called back. The next person on April 28, 2026, Robert, said I could block up to 20. April 29, 2026, Vince, from Frontier called to confirm what the issue was. April 30, 2026, John, called me back andck and left a message that I can only block 20. I had asked him to find out when they changed the plan and why didn't they notify me, but he didn't bother to leave that information even though he said he would. THIS IS THE VERY WORST COMPANY!!!!!! Under no condition should you sign up for frontier. Probably the worst run company. If you think your Comcast service is bad I promise you it can get so much worse. Under no circumstances should you sign up frontier. It's a very frustrating company. It's cheap for a reason. Terrible. About once a month it goes out for 24-48 hours. Absolutely no way to talk to a real person. The text feature is so slow, you give up. And if you get an email or text they will tell you there is no outage in your area even though everyone in the greater area is out. Terrible. read more

Frontier Communications nagged me to get paperless billing. OK, they send you an eMail to go fetch your statement. Their residential accout login has been offline for days. I'm not even sure this the right frontier to be complaining too but you're all the same. I have been trying to get service for almost 2 months now. And my appointment keeps getting canceled in the last minute. How do you expect to grow as a company. Absolutely ridiculous. I even confirmed over the phone my appointment 2 days prior. I kept getting subsequent calls after and every time I answered the line disconnected. I would give Frontier Communication a 0! 1.The service is horrible as evidence by outdated equipment (modems), they refuse to replace. 2. Held my phone number for 14 days and refused to transfer it to another communications company. 3. Frontier never admitted they held my phone number when I went without a phone for 2 weeks and I had no way to communicate to the outside I have no cell phone just a land line. 4. I never received an itemized bill. Every month there would be charges I knew nothing about. I would call customer service and all they do is give you the run around. 5. They double billed me for a month when I had no service with them. Called they again and they waved the fee and admitted to their mistake, and I got a reference number to prove it. 6. I got a letter stating the accountant made a mistake and I owed the money. 7. My account was paid up in advance. Frontier owes me money for 14 days of NO phone service! 8. Frontier sent my account to collection and had THREATHEN to ruin my credit! 9. Frontier is having a lot of financial problems, and they are currently being investigated by the FCC. 10. If I could go lower I would. I had EIGHT no-shows in a row for appointments for them to come work on my internet. I couldn't get them to come up to the house so I cancelled my internet service. They took it upon themselves to cancel my phone service as well so I've now lost my phone number of 41 years. I was unhappy and frustrated by Frontier internet services. The initial installation was a problem, service rep did the installation and left, then no service, had to call them to come back. When it was finally installed days later, we found the service to be spotty, almost daily outages, having to reboot the modem repeatedly. I finally had another service provider to hook me up, much happier with the new service. Canceling Frontier is also a big problem. They instruct you to take your equipment to a UPS Store, but the closest one to me is over 50 miles. Alternatively, you can have Frontier send you shipping boxes but the application for that on their website glitched repeatedly for me and wouldn't work. I tried calling them about the problem, was unable to speak to a rep, and their machine hung up on me. I would not recommend Frontier Internet. read more

After placing the order, having Frontier come to do the necessary wiring, and then coming to my home to do the installation, I was told by the installers that it would take 48 hours for my phone number to be ported from my previous provider. NINE days later, my phone number is still not working! I was told by customer NOSERVICE at FRONTIER that I would have to reconnect with my old provider and then Frontier could port the number. NOPE! Frontier assured my in my installation day that the number was already being ported. Their customer service is a joke. I live in a rural area and fiber optic service is a dream compared to anything else available... when it's working. When there are service interruptions, don't waste your time calling customer service/tech support. They never have any idea what's going on and will leave you on hold for hours if you let them. If you actually get through, they will have you reset your router. Next step is to send a technician to your service address, but that comes with a warning for a service charge if the technician decides the work isn't covered. Will service come back in minutes, hours, days, weeks... who knows? Frontier's website says I can pay an extra $10/month for "US based tech support", which is a clear acknowledgement of their outsourced support center's lack of ability. After waiting over three hours (and counting) on hold for tech support this morning and so far getting exactly no where, I feel Frontier's base level support is intentionally horrible to drive customers to pay for this upgraded tech support nonsense. They should all have access to the same information. All I wanted to hear from them was that they were aware and working to resolve the issue. My neighbors are experiencing the same intermittent connectivity issues. Every 15 - 20 minutes, our connection drops for about one minute before reconnecting. Just a brief follow up to my previous crap review of this company. I decided to call them today and managed to get a service appointment for Saturday between the hours of 1pm to 5 pm. I stayed at home all afternoon and not really to my surprise, no technician ever showed up or bothered to call or text me to say that they would need to reschedule. Any time you leave a review for this company, they answer with an insincere apology asking to contact them via Facebook. we are a doctor's office in wind gap since 1993. on 1/9/24 patient's with 1 cellular carrier could not call us. no less than 4 calls and multiple emails to frontier have produced less than nothing. a service ticket with 1 week wait was issued, nothing occured. we inquired what the process was in the event we cancel our service and return the phones. we received no answer but on 1/16/24 at 2:00 they turned our phones off. easily 2 dozen calls and emails have proven fruitless. so currently patient cannot contact their doctor for 3 days, apparently not an issue with frontier. i had to click 1 star since nothing worse was a choice. avoid this company and their incompetent employees read more

I had my internet install at the very end of March in a rural area. The internet connection has been great. The problem I am having is they left a temporary line in my yard and told me someone should be out with in 2 weeks to bury the line. It is know the middle of June and the line is still in my yard. I have reached out over and over again and they schedule someone to come out. The contractor that comes out to bury states it can not be buried that it needs to be hung on the power lines, so another call in to schedule someone to hang the line. They come out and state it needs to be buried and the cycle starts over (for 2 1/2 months now). I just want the cable where I can mow my yard with out moving it around!!!! read more

Perhaps the worst customer service on Earth... rivaled only by Spectrum. BEWARE: Both of them have this game they play with their customers - when you try to cancel your service, you suddenly can't get in touch with ANYONE, whether by phone, chat or email. It can take days. When you do, they disconnect you after wasting your time asking the same questions over and over... but nothing ever gets accomplished. Also, when I did have problems with the modems, they kept giving me conflicting information. The first time I had a technician scheduled to come out, they kept delaying the appointment over and over without even informing me! It would have ended up being weeks without internet (and we work from home), until one sharp lady at customer service finally decided to send me a new modem, which fixed that particular problem. But the second time was about the same. It goes on and on. I am just so grateful to be done with this company... hopefully forever. My wife and I have been customers of frontier communications for around six or seven years. It has not been all bad, but in the end the bad has eclipsed any good memories that we have had of them. Our internet speed has always been slow but we didn't mind, because it suited our needs. Last year we were having an issue with our internet dropping out completely. This was stressful because it often happened when we were in important meetings online making presentations. They sent a technician to help us and from that moment on we never had our connection cut out again. However our internet speeds from that moment dropped to around 1 mbps even though we have continued to pay for 6 mbps. When we called to correct the matter they said that it had nothing to do with what the technician did, it was just and incredible coincidence, and what is more they would not help us correct the problem at all. They implied that we were somehow at fault. They said "uh, do you have more than one device in your house connected to the internet? Because you are probably slowing it down by reading one email on your computer while your wife watched Netflix in low resolution." Finally when we decided to cancel our service we dealt with the best customer service representative who actually listened to our issue and offered to help us. At this point it was too late. We said our goodbyes and thought that we were done with frontier forever. Then... we received a bill for the following month even though we had a confirmation code for our cancelation. We called to correct the matter and they flatly refused. Then they had the gall to tell us that they helped us with the matter we called about. If frontier is the only option for internet where you live it is still not worth it. Get a library card. Read some books. Buy DVD's of your favorite shows. Disconnect from the digital world. This is the absolute worst provider on the planet. For over 2.5 years we have had a problem of calls being dropped when we answer the phone......multiples during any one business day....... Every time we call.....and complain and they put in a service ticket they either come out or work in their switching station out in the field and say "ok, we fixed it".....and it isn't fixed! When we talk to technical support @ 611, and get to supervisor....they go through the same process again.......then send some yo yo out ......close the ticket, and the next day....It's Back like a bad fungus. When I ask the supervisor at technical support for their supervisor....I am told they don't have one......(boy I'd love that job wouldn't you?) so again I am at their mercy. When I ask for a discount on my bill due to their crappy service and ability to fix the problem.....they say they can't do it....... what they can't do is give you what you pay for. Try to get through to the corporate office......you might as well try to call the president in Washington DC! These guys have a monopoly on deceit! Just once I would love to have one of their staff come into my business so I could mimic their world's worst customer service!!!!!!! This morning I got a response to this post from someone at Frontier......they want to reach out and have someone address the situation......in the meantime a tech worked on our lines again (from a ticket that was made up yesterday) and called me to tell me he couldn't find an issue.......so this morning we have had 4 calls dropped. I told the tech to have a supervisor contact me....... Can't wait till someone from the corporate side that is responding to my yelp complaint....contacts me......again...another run around.
