Because of the China tariffs I went online to buy an iPhone 16 Pro and it was ready for pickup in less than 2 hrs. While I initially couldn't figure out where it's actually located (its front door is accessed from the sidewalk, across from McDonald's), but once I did it was smooth sailing from there. Got assistance right away, new iPhone set up, installed the screen protector & case (great selection of accessories), and transferred my data (shout out to Heber!). Lack of knowledge on policies. I came in on 3/19 to pickup a phone I upgraded to. The pickup went smooth, was in and out in less than 15 min. 3 days in, I noticed the phone was overheating when charging and when on a FaceTime call. I went in and was told to either go to Apple for warranty or pay a restock fee of $55 to swap out the phone. I tried to go to Apple but since I had plans to be out of town that weekend and with my work schedule I wasn't able to make it in to wait 2 plus hours. I went back to the store today because i figured I'd take the loss and save time to just pay the fee instead of waiting at Apple. Once I got to the counter I was asked for ID which I had left at work. I left the store went back to get my id and walked in again 20 min later only for them to tell me they can't exchange/swap the phone and that i need to go to Apple. Basically wasted 2 trips, and my time going there for nothing. If staff was properly trained, this wouldn't be an issue. read more

Tiny but MIGHTY store. Super friendly guy and gal behind the counter. Easy peasy parking! Popped in to get new screen protector for my sad looking iPhone 13 Pro. The folks welcomed me when I walked in (never happens anywhere anymore,) asked me what I needed, they found it on the shelf/in the drawer, and in ten minutes, I was out of the door with a brand new screen protector, installed PERFECTLY. Fair disclaimer, you as the customer need to have your documents and identification ready. If you're not ready, don't put it on them for your lack of preparation. I am so glad that I switched to AT&T for its excellent mobile and internet services and customer service. I am a manager for a major hotel in San Francisco, and I was stunned by the work of the representative Destiny. Destiny was attentive, fast, professional, friendly, and very polite. This store location is the only reason I can say u should stay with AT&T. I went to many location before for many reason like phone having problems or need help with changing something in account. It just wastes many of my times because usually no one care but this one OMG he actually care and help u the best way possible. This is the second time I've come here and had amazing customer service from your girl Destiny, she is on the ball. Making everyone in the place feel tended to while the small store is crazy busy. I came in needing a bill break down because I couldn't figure out why my bill was so high. There was representative able to help me immediately! She was so nice and took care of everything me, explaining to the other people who provide bill credits why I needed charges taken off, very helpful and made it easy for me. Had a very successful experience with Steven Tang who was able to resolve my technical and service account issues that the ATT call agents were not able to handle. Anyone else could've easily given up sooner, but I think this guy either loves his job or just geeks out on problem solving. And I wasn't even buying anything at this store that day. It sounds like some of the other reviewers here were put off by his sometimes curt mannerisms, but in my field, we give even the craziest engineers a total pass if they are good at their job. What a pleasant surprise. I needed to figure out a new phone as mu current one had a dieing battery. I was greeted by a very welcoming hello and there were a few people in front of me so i sat and waited to get help. Destiny and her coworker were always welcoming to all that came in and even knew regulars by name. I let a few go a head of me as they were just paying billsand Destiny thanked me for that when it was my turn. She was very knowledgeable about products and gave me just what i needed....including a deal that the Geary Street branch had not even let me know about. Had a bad experience here. Saw some unusual activity on my account so I called. Found out that someone had accessed my account, changed the social security and security question on my account. Was told to go into an AT&T store (due to not being able to verify my identity over the phone). Was met with someone questioning/not believing me (why would I lie and WANT to come into AT&T?). She wasn't listening to what I was saying so found it pointless to talk to her and decided to leave. Wasted a half hour (not a big deal in the scheme of things, I get that). Stephen the manager was completely rude . Was disgusted he had to help me and other customers instead of taking his break. He kept complaining to his female co- worker who was busy flirting with a male customer why can't my break be now instead of helping people. At& T charge you after you close your account for service that they are not providing. Their service is inferior to comcast and if you try to contact their customer service expect to be on hold for at least 2 hours. read more

I misplaced my phone IN MY OWN HOUSE and could not locate it, even with the Find My IPhone app. I called this store, because I was resigned to having to buy a new one, and spoke to Steven Tang. He talked me through how to identify the lost phone on the app (there were many Apple products/phones in the house so it was difficult to determine what device was actually missing and not offline) and I was able to find it! He saved me hours and money and for that I am SO grateful. He remembered my name from when I bought my last iPhone and was so nice and accommodating. I had an extremely terrible experience at this store. The store manager (Steven Tang) was rude and condescending to us as customers AND to his associates. I was interested in purchasing a couple of phones for the BOGO promo they have, and Steven was very adamant about not honoring this promo for us. He said in the grand scheme of things, they don't make money off of these phones, so it didn't matter if I purchased phones that day. Meanwhile, his poor associate is sitting there witnessing this interaction and feeling guilty, and I'm sure she was upset that he screwed her out of a good commission. She was so sweet, nice, and helpful, and he was completely rude and tried to play it off that he was "helping" us in the long run. I have worked in retail and customer service for years. The customer is always right. I have been with AT&T for 15 years-since they were first Cingular- and he said he didn't care if we scrapped this entire transaction and went with another provider. Like really??? You wouldn't do whatever you could to retain your customers??? This entire debacle took 3 HOURS. Furthermore, it is one of my pet peeves when managers belittle and embarrass their employees in front of customers. That is POOR management skills. When we left the store, the female associate was crying because she was so embarrassed! This is not creating a safe or positive culture for a team. I hope she leaves that job and finds something else where she is valued and appreciated. In summary- do NOT go to this store. In fact, you should leave AT&T all together. I have escalated these complaints to corporate, and they are going to further investigate the issues at this store because this is not the first time it has happened. read more

Do not use AT&T. I was considering switching from Verizon to ATT but wanted more information about pricing, plans, and phone options. After being hung up on multiple times when I called ATT, I went into the store in early Dec to learn more (well, learn something). Similar to another reviewer, I was pitched on the 2-for-1 phone deal by the first person I talked to, only to be handed off to another rep who said that the transaction required the presence of someone who was not at the store and that I would have to come back. Except they didn't know when the person would be back. What?! Stick with Verizon or whatever godforsaken provider you already have -- all are better than ATT. read more

This 5 stars is for Elym. Because of her - I have an actually positive view of AT&T. I got a new iPhone 8 (and traded in my old iPhone 6) and her customer service is above and beyond! I usually prefer going to the Apple store to get a new iPhone because of the customer service. Elym was very fast and nimble, extremely sharp, and clearly an iPhone guru -- she knew all the answers to all the obstacles/problems along the way, all while juggling my case and another guy's case at the same time. She was always looking out for me as a customer -- she made sure I was completely comfortable when I was asking for clarification about the trade-in program and my AT&T cellular bill. She also proactively helped me lower my cell bill when she discovered I wasn't using that much data and thus overpaying for my current needs. On top of that, she stayed 30 min later after her shift ended to finish helping me (after opening early that morning)! All with a cheerful positive attitude. She deserves a promotion - she's a star! read more

This has to be the worst customer service I have experienced in my life. I went to this store to purchase a couple of iPhones with the buy one get one free deal that is going on. The female associates were very nice but a weird male manager came in and interrupted the whole sale and said no to everything. He was very shaky and jumpy seemed like he was on come or something. Even one of the female associates said "he was speaking weird". Long story short I stepped outside and completed the transaction via telephone. How can the store tell me no but I can call and they tell me yes to a deal that is being promoted. Even when I came back into the store to let the female associate know I appreciated her effort he came in and interrupted that conversation and said "me making the transaction over the phone is going to cause me trouble" what type of manager says things of this nature. To make it worse he even made the female associate cry. I really hope that she leaves that place because that environment is not healthy at all. It is quite toxic and to be honest AT&T should look into this situation. He could not bully me but he sure did bully that employee and that is not right. Please avoid this sy read more

I just had the same experience as the other reviewer. I went in with a request for assistance in unlocking my AT&T phone and they handed me a tablet and directed me to an AT&T webpage I could have gone to from home on my laptop. I had an issue and the in store customer service rep standing right in front of me told me to call AT&T customer service. I asked if there was something that she could help me streamline the process since everything they had done so far would have been easier for me to do from home and she said that it was either her or me calling customer service so why didn't I just do it? She also told me that if she were to fill out the information for me on their computer then I would have to first give her the information so why would we do that? I ended up just leaving after accomplishing nothing. Don't waste your time at this store. read more

I recently purchase a new iPhone and Michael helped me and he was very helpful. I had a problem with the protective cover I had put on the screen and I went back recently . First off it's very hot in there. There was only one person there, it's wasn't really busy, but the customers coming to the counter all had a difficult time understand very easy explanations to their issues. The one person there I think is the manager and he remained calm and was helping everyone in a timely manner. When another person came on her shift for the day, she helped me quickly and was very nice. Anyone working in that small shop has a difficult job. People come in with the most common sense questions and then even after they get their question answered, they are still not understanding. That happens twice in the time I was there. So if you go there know you'll get good service, just be patient. read more

do not come to this store!!! this store is total scam!!!! associates here will not help you unless they will make money out of you!!!! my wife and i went here to upgrade her iphone to x, when we left the store everything checks out that phone was ordered and upgrade was done...3-4 weeks later no phone showing up. we called 611 and guess what? no effin record of the phone being shipped or even ordered! system shows that upgrade still pending! we came back to this store like 5 times to get a better understanding and jess the associate just playing dumb to avoid helping us to figure out the effin problem!!! according to her this store has no manager in charge right now!!!she claim to have district manager but not on site! and in the meeting for effin 4 hours!!!really now!!!! so obviously these associates are doing some fraud activity in this store! i hope this store will close permanently!!! been an at&t customer for more than 10 years and we dont deserve this bs customer service!!!!!! read more
