Kathy is AMAZING at the deluxe spa pedi! She's so sweet and great at what she does. Her massage is slower and she takes her time, doesn't right through it like some other salons. She's great with color too! She is very neat and my toes are about as perfect as they could be. I even messed my big toe up while I was drying and she fixed it without giving it a second thought! Staff is great, though I got dip powder last time and she denied my request to NOT file down my nail surface (not edge) which I believe thins my nails out even more. Horrible service!everything felt super rushed, the nail lady Mandy did my nails and she was filing way too fast, leaving me burns, she filed all my nails unevenly, some were longer then others and some were sharper then others, she even criticized the size of my thumb, how unprofessional is that?Tina did my toes and again, was very rushed, she scrubbed my feet way too rough leavinging me scratches and burns. She left my toes uneven after filing/cutting them. In my opinion they are way over priced, especially for the type of service they give. $47 for pink&white powder?!That's crazy to me! I usually get my nails done with Mandy and she does an awesome job! She's also hilarious so that's a perk. Yesterday I went in and Tina did my toes! I have been going to Ivy for over 3 years now. She is so exceptional I followed her from another shop to Unique Nails. I have been getting my nails done for over 30 years and I've NEVER had anyone do my nails like Ivy does. She is so sweet and friendly and does the best nail art (free hand) that I've ever seen! Ive even showed her photos online of a design that I've liked and she always does it better than the original photo!! I decided to give this place a try and was in need of a pedicure. I walked in and asked the lady if she had an opening g fir a pedicure. She told me to pick out a nail polish. I looked at the menu and saw that they offered a French pedicure so decided on that. I stood at the counter for over 10 minutes while listening to girls loudly gossip. She and the owner, Snow, we're so accommodating and friendly to everyone even when phones were ringing and the spa was full. No one in the spa was left out of good service. I saw Ivy and she did an awesome job on my pedi and gel manicure. Very detail oriented. My gel lasted longer than any other and she gave the best callous removal treatment I've ever gotten. She's my new favorite and I will return. As for the spa itself. I like this place a lot. Nice modern structure and decor. The ladies are all very friendly. And there's a TV playing in the background. That was nice but not a distraction. The location in Oceanside is a bit sketchy but not a deterrent. Updated review: Ivy turned out to lack consistency in all the first pluses that I first loved. The next few pedis were not as stellar. Hardly got a good callous scrub and she took way too long. Not only that, but I really needed a technician who had experience w in-grown toe nails and she's not the one for me. I did see Mandy as an alternate and she did awesome. But when I returned and asked for Mandy I was told she no longer works there so I was back w Ivy again. I asked if there was another technician w more experience w in-grown nails and I was told Ivy the best there. Well, honestly she's not. I've had in-grown toe nails longer than she's been a nail technician and I don't like being treated like I don't know what I'm talking about when I make a suggestion. But it's ok. I know there is a language barrier and I can't fully explain myself, nor can she. But ultimately, I won't be returning here because I can't get the help I need. Oh, and the last time I was there they were playing Dr. Dre's gangster rap album "Chronic" which is very explicit full of profanity and offensive content. I couldn't wait to leave! It's still a nice spa environment and the girls are still nice. None of that has changed. But that's not enough to keep me returning. read more

Update on my below post, 4 months later & this acrylic nail still won't come off! On top of that. She filed down my REAL thumb nail. & it's taking a WHILE to grow back. When it started it. My nail broke off & started bleeding. NEVER COMING BACK SANDY is terrible. DO NOT go to her. She is a very sweet lady but she is not great doing nails. She burned my finger filing my nails with a nail filer. She did NOT give me the shape I wanted. She over charged me. & on top of that, my nails were crooked. This facility Is nice and clean. And the people are very sweet. But I give two stars for the lady who did my nails. Her name is Sandy & she did a terrible job. Literally over a month later & my nails are soooo terrible! read more

Beware! Absolutely horrible quality and experience!! Had a bridal party reservation for 4 pedicures (was supposed to be 5 pedicures but we had to cancel one), 3 full acrylic sets, and one French manicure. Pedicures were fine, got what i expected, not amazing but definitely not bad either. When it came time for the acrylics, that was a whole other experience... When booking the appointment I specifically asked if it was possible to have all the full sets done at the same time and I was assured they could and would have enough technicians to accommodate. But when we got there, they only had one tech and i was advised that the owner (whom I'd spoken with when booking the appointment) allowed all other technicians to take leave and did not tell the staff that we needed 3 sets of acrylics. Anyway, so rolling with the punches and in good spirits the girls got their acrylics. They were horrific!!! Bad is not a strong enough description to express the appearance. Not only were they bumpy and uneven with jagged sides, the tech got acrylic all over the cuticles so the girls fingers were in pain and bleeding, cut from poor filing i assume (after reading another google review) feel free to check your cameras because this review is 100% accurate). So long story short, we paid (yes, full price) and left to have them immediately redone at Nails by LT. When deciding, just go straight to Nails by LT. The facility isn't great but the quality and service was top notch! read more
