They will tell you the nails will last for 6 weeks, but mine barely lasted a week and a half. The edges chipped, and the nail extensions started lifting from the nail, too. I called and asked if they could fix it, and I made an appointment. However, when I arrived they told me I had called the wrong number for their other location. I attached a screenshot of my call, and fixed their number on Apple Maps for them. I'm a pretty understanding person, but it was a rough greeting. Linda did an excellent job! I had the gel manicure with the paraffin wax because my hands were so dry from the season. She was very nice and easy to talk too. She also waxed my eyebrows all within an hour. Great shop, convenient location. Clean and comfortable. read more

So I had made an appointment I think a month ago for a full set, realized I had to cancel. I tried calling 5 times. Nobody answered. I call now to try to make another appointment and the lady that answered was short and rude. I asked her if I could make an appointment and she said "are you even going to show up this time?" And I was just baffled and confused and asked "huh?" And was about to explain that I tried to cancel. And she cut me off and said "what do you want." "Just fills.." and she said "okay" and hung up. I didn't trust that I was going to receive good quality nails, because I thought she might've been petty about it since she was rude over the phone. So I canceled and she was just "k thanks bye". I support small businesses but like who talks to people like that? Idk a very weird vibe from that place. read more

I was a walk in and did not have an appointment. Staff was nice. I got a mani and pedicure. No gel. I got the lowest spa pedicure (40) and my total for mani-pedi was $61 (1 for using card). They don't seem to be the most hygienic place I've been too. The towels used were worn down, didn't see new packs of tools opened for each customer, I think they reused the same tools like buffers and nail files on multiple customers... also the licensing paper on their wall said only valid until 2018? It was an okay experience. They were fast and seem like an efficient team. But it's not super relaxing in side. Lots of talking and it's a busy place on a Friday. This was a spur of a moment walk in. With wait time and total time for service, it was a total of 1 hour. Seemed/felt really fast/rushed and not so relaxing. Maybe they're better if you make an appointment and/or not go on a Friday? Another thing, I always tip $10 to each technician that works on me wherever I go. And this place was adamant that tip is only cash. They wanted me to use their ATM, when I explained its either tip on the card or no tip (theres no sign anywhere about tips only being in Cash that I saw) then the technician relented and said I can put tip on my card. Overall.. idk. 3 stars. Not great. Not horrible. But I had some concerns. So for a total of $81 with tip, it was ok, but I've been to nicer places and probably won't return. Again nails weren't bad. Just wasn't as relaxing as I hoped, felt rushed, and with the way I tip, I've been to other places in North County that are more relaxful and luxurious. read more

Zero stars wasn't an option! Been coming for years, will NEVER go again. Had a French gel mani from Tammy did not recognize the male pedi tech who was rough and in an obvious hurry. Both butchered my hands and feet I'm bleeding and marked from both I can't even wear tennis shoes after the chunk taken off my baby toe I hope his tools were clean otherwise it's definitely infected and has been throbbing ever since. Day after 3 nails are peeling or chipped I'm supposed to go on vacation tomorrow and am now paying to get mani fixed elsewhere and am worried about feet being in a public pool or Sandy beach since it feels like an open wound. Manager who wasn't present but available by phone, did fully refund me after offering me a 20% discount to which I was completely repulsed. I haven't had a pedicure since before my daughter was born (she's now 1 and half) and I'm pregnant with another. It was much needed and a little self-splurge. My sister was getting married in the area and all other places weren't welcoming walk-ins or opening on time. I happened to come upon this Nail Salon by chance and am so happy I did! They are so sweet here & did an amazing job! I got the Deluxe Pedicure and was not disappointed. I'm not sure if it was because it's Mother's Day weekend and I'm pretty obviously huge and pregnant, but they weren't rushing. They took their time with my massage and did an amazing job. Being 7 months pregnant with my toddler, I really needed that massage! I was able to get my eyebrows done at the same time! Both my brows and toes look amazing! New to the area and was looking for a nail salon. Next door is one of my favorite markets so was happy to find this salon. Very happy with the service and work! Love my nails! I asked for square and that's what I got. I am active in climbing and hiking so my feet and hands show it (broken nails, callus etc)... they did an awesome job and helped me pick a color I loved! read more

I've been to this salon twice, both times I've seen Ivy. She's very friendly and accommodating, although there is a bit of a language barrier. In the long run though, it's all about the quality of her work, and I'm completely satisfied. It's been almost 4 weeks since my last pedicure and the polish is still beautiful. My gel manicure lasted 3 weeks...and only needed to be redone because of growth. I went in for a mani and pedi with my mother in law. We both thought our pedicures were great but when we got to our manicures it was terrible. We both decided to go for acrylic instead of a regular manicure. We just asked for the same gel color we used on our toes. Our acrylic came out lumpy and messy. They didn't clean up under our nails so some nails are thicker than others and some have acrylic stuck on the bottom. Some nails were longer than others as well. We were just not happy at all with our acrylics for the amount we paid. In total I paid $220 for our manis and pedis. Regardless of the work the staff was nice so we still decided to tip $50. We probably will not return again. Very nice people though I feel bad leaving such a bad review :( read more

The decor in the lobby area is a little dated, but neat and clean -- front desk staff were very friendly.

I didn't find anything wrong with the first passport photo. Crossing my finger that this photo will suffice. It can be disappointing to complete the check-in process only to learn there isn't enough time to be seen. Overall, this is still one of my preferred locations for lab work because of the friendly staff and efficient service. The reason this place has 2 stars is because Walgreens has an app that allows you to refill and because they have a drive thru. When you're sick you do not want to crawl inside. However the second lane of the drive thru doesn't work and they have no sign to indicate that. They let you drive up and wait forever before they let you know you have to get in line at the back of lane 1. GRRRRRRR!

Just came back from HI, I try to do my nail at this store. Everyone is very friendly. Ivy did Pink and White and Tina did my toes. They were sweet and friendly. Both of them were new employee here. They did awesome jobs. I feel so sorry when I her their story about their previous workplace. Why did they left? I am also happy for them here. Absolutely come back again in two weeks. This is one of the best nail salon around! Jackie shapes my nails perfectly (and I'm fussy!) every time... Even when I abuse the heck out of my hands. I completely understand if the nail technician I want is unavailable at the time or on the day I'm requesting. That is not the issue. The problem is receiving conflicting information and feeling like my request for a specific technician is repeatedly being disregarded. This has happened before as well. I once requested a pedicure with Tara and was booked with someone else instead. The receptionist has also been rude, confused appointment times, and then blamed the clients for the confusion. It's extremely frustrating because when you find a nail technician whose work you love, you naturally want to continue booking with that person. Instead of simply being honest about Tara's availability, I have repeatedly been given inconsistent information or booked with someone else. Tara is wonderful and does excellent work. My review is not a reflection of her service at all. Unfortunately, the way appointments are handled at the front desk has made me no longer want to return to this salon
