Last month, I was in Oceanside for my graduation. I typically get my nails done weekly (I bite my nails when they aren't done) and wanted to make sure I had nice nails for graduation. I was able to book my appointment online a week before. I arrived to the salon and it was busy (prom and graduation!) but I was serviced as soon as they were able too. I was disappointed by my experience at Noir Nail Studio. I had a $100 gift certificate that was purchased directly from the salon. Although the certificate had an expiration date, I explained that it was a purchased gift certificate, not a promotional one, and asked if they would honor it. Unfortunately, they refused. I understand businesses have policies, but I was hoping they would review the situation or offer a reasonable solution. Instead, I left feeling disappointed as a customer. I hope the owner will reconsider this decision and review California's laws regarding purchased gift certificates. I would be happy to update this review if the matter is resolved. read more

When I first moved to this area, this salon is where I would go. it was very close to my home. sometimes I would walk there. The owner always gave me great service. When she went on vacation, her sister and son ruined everything. They were rude, refused me service. Told me I was too late for service even though I arrived well before closing. That was 8 years ago. I've never stepped a foot in there since. THIS IS NOT A BLACK OWNED BUSINESS!!! Take this off the list. It is owned and operated by Vietnamese people. Gentle and be observant. If client says sore, or gentle or you see a small bruise don't keep squeezing everywhere. Seniors legs have blood clots and arthritis and other medical issues. I have to go to the ER now and this pedicure was 90$. read more

This business was recommended as I was complaining about my 1st ever ingrown toe nail. called, went in and Dao took care of me, was gentle and removed easily and pretty painlessly. Wow these ladies do an amazing job! Got a fill and my nails were a mess before and she did them thin with the perfect shape. Also got a matching pedicure. Cleaned them very well. The inside is very modern and new. The one thing I would change is their attitude next time I'll just put my headphones in and listen to music. My daughter wanted her nails done on her birthday. My mom & sisters have been coming here for over a decade so since I was in town I thought I'd go here. Their hours says they open at 9:30 am, we waited over a half hour before anyone even showed up to unlock their salon. Unacceptable. Would give zero stars if possible. First time I went in they were empty with the door open but told me they couldn't help me. Decided to try again 3 years later. Did not acknowledge when I walked in. After I said "hello" they replied "what do you want?". I said a mani/pedi. The woman returned to what she was doing and said nothing further. There was 1 customer in there and a row of empty chairs. On Valentine's Day my friend & I went here to get a manicure since our appointment somewhere else was cancelled. It's right down the street from my house & after reading all the good reviews I was confident in trying it out, hopefully discovering a hidden gem not too far away from home. The customer service was okay, they were kind of shut off and uninterested in us. For the bare minimum service we got the price was pretty high. There were small bubbles and a piece of hair on my friend's nail that they didn't fix and the polish started to chip that day. I wouldn't go here again or recommend to a friend. read more
