First time here. What a great and innovative place. A nail salon with day care and a cafe/coffee shop. My appointment was with Kateryna R. She was very soft spoken and sweet. I had the Gel X Overlay Extensions. After 40 years of Acrylic tips with an overlay (on and off), I tried something new. Kateryna did a fantastic job and I really love my nails. I'm not sure if it was the owner or manager that was walking around, but she was so nice and offered to bring beverages to the customers. Great place to come for a personal care day! From their nail salon and studio to their cafe, there is loads to do in one place. I personally love their cafe because their coffees are always delicious! I'm a big fan of their salted caramel latte. Perfect balance of caramel flavor to actual coffee. Horrible horrible experience with them as a first time. In the first place they let you book appointments on a day where they don't open meaning you don't have the full experience and there's not front desk or manager to talk to. Second of all they make you do full prepayment for appointments and for a service you haven't got done but they DONT LET YOU KNOW ABOUT LATE POLICY. As my first time there I didn't know and there was a late policy, scheduled appointment for manicure pedicure and when I got there the technician told me they could only do one service, and I asked what was going to happen with what I already paid for and told me that's something I have to talk to the front desk ( as I mentioned, Sundays managers or front desk don't work) so for a mediocre pedicure I paid in total $265 Out of nowhere the next day I got a charge of $15 without them letting me know what was that for. So I had to call them asking them and it was an addy (gel removal) that they didn't even mention the day of the service it was an extra. COMPLETELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My kid used to love the playroom, now that she's 7 years old, she asks to get a manicure! Ambiance - wonderful. I came here as a pre-mother's day treat and it's such a beautiful place to sit and get pampered! Very IG photo op worthy. However, nothing was particularly conducive to comfort. 1) My poor nail tech was forced to sit on the floor while giving me a pedicure 2) I'm pregnant and the bowl was off kilter to where the (non-massage) chair was so I had to sit awkwardly for my hips, the chairs are low so you have to use your hip flexors to lift and hold your feet up during the service, 3) the manicure did not include any pre-soak to loosen cuticles more extensive cuticle trimming and it also did not include even a short hand massage after So if you're coming here and don't care about the comfort, then it's a cute place to visit. But if you like the relaxing massage chairs and zero need to hold your own legs up and to avoid your nail tech from having to resort to sitting on the floors, then this place is for you. Not sure the price was worth the "view". Oh! The coffee was great though. read more

I originally purchased a babysitting package here for about $160 bucks, but would soon realize it was a massive mistake. The childcare environment was very cold and simply not warm for my little ones. My boys explained that they fell on the slide and no one attended to them. They then said they sat to color and no one colored with them. They are toddlers. At first, I figured they were just missing mommy, and when they yelled to come sit with me at the cafe instead, I figured it's something they'd adjust to. I thought it was a great idea to be able to work at the cafe for an hour while they play, so I bought the package. But each time I suggested it after that, they just begged not to go back. Because of my non-use, management agreed to let me transfer the remaining balance to a salon credit instead. I booked a nail appointment using part of the credit, and this is where a bad experience turned completely unacceptable. On the day of my appointment, I called to let them know I was running a few minutes late. The front desk explicitly moved my appointment to 11:45am and assured me I had a 15-min. grace period. I arrived at 11:52am, checked in, and waited as instructed. At noon, the nail tech informed me she was going to skip the scrub and hurry through the service. I declined to pay full price for a partial or rushed service as that was not what we agreed upon. But instead of apologizing for the scheduling crunch, the front desk representative initiated an argument. She claimed the rushed service was essentially payback for me being late, and argued it was their policy to skim a service for late customers. I professionally stated that this was inapplicable, given that we had mutually adjusted my appointment time and I arrived within the grace period. Since they refused to provide the full service, I requested a refund back to my credit card. The front desk called the manager, who refused, telling me I would forfeit my money if I didn't accept store credit or transfer the balance to a friend. I asked to speak to the manager directly, and she refused to get on the phone with me, stating through the front desk rep. that she was "not speaking with clients today." When I calmly stood my ground and asserted my right to a refund for a service they repudiated, the front desk rep decided to call security to escort me off the premises. She accused me of being out of line for handling what she perceived to be a small matter. As I again simply explained that I felt it was unfair to be asked to pay full price for a partial service, she became robotic, stating she was having security escort me out. Security arrived, and I walked out. Rather than handling a standard billing dispute with neutrality and empathy, management decided to weaponize security to humiliate and intimidate a paying customer. Upon leaving, I sent an email stating again that it is not right to force a customer to forfeit their money after repudiating a service, and that using my valid objections to attempt to intimidate me was out of line. Bottom line: I will never return. I am sharing this so others are aware of how this establishment handles standard customer dissatisfaction. Such a shame that the line between poor customer service and unjust business practices has completely vanished in a place that brands itself on being "nurturing and supportive," especially for mothers . read more

Okay.. A brutally honest review. I have been coming here for a few months because I moved and this was conveniently close and had good reviews. I've had 2-3 builder gel sets done on my natural nails, and I've had one pedicure. The builder gel nails.. Bulky, half the nails were crooked, the french tip always has imperfections. After the first time I had builder gel I went back for a next set and let my nail tech know that some nails were crooked. She "fixed" them but.. i'll let the grow out photo speak for itself for the "fixed" nails. On the nails that had come off you can see how crooked my natural nails are. Next, the pedicure. More crooked nails. She filed a couple of my toe nails completely sideways, which i've never had before and I frequently receive pedicures. The massage was maybe 90 seconds and it just felt low effort. Also, the french tip on one foot was very thick while the other foot was very thin. Extremely noticeable difference. The cafe is pretty good and I know the offer childcare so if you're a mother looking for you time then this place is great for that. But, if you're just looking for a place to get a good mani or pedi, I genuinely wouldn't recommend this. I hate to give a poor review but I couldn't help it with how much I disliked my nails here. read more

A postpartum dream to be able to take your baby with you to get pampered! From about 4 months to 10 months old I've been taking my little one with me to get my nails done and every time has been nothing short of special. The whole staff from the front, to the coffee bar, to your nail tech provide truly luxurious and top notch customer service (I have a hospitality background from a huge tourism city and I'm impressed every time how they've created a cozy yet attentive atmosphere) The price is well justified, the space is gorgeous, very clean, and best of all - zero fumes in the nail salon and they use fans to suck up debris during your service. Childcare is included with your nails and now that baby is old enough I plan on utilizing that as well. Favorite drink - chocolate covered strawberry latte for me my older child has played in childcare and we've done the mommy and me playtime - their favorite drink is the kids probiotic strawberry milk "pink drink" Both my infant and elementary aged child have taken the music class together and had a blast, we've also done the mommy and me yoga and enjoyed it greatly! read more

Not only do you have to pay in advance, time slots are few and far between. You can't cancel or reschedule without being charged. I love this concept of having kids and having a safe, clean, beautifully aesthetic coffee/play area to bring your kids too. Long are the days of overly stimulated arcade places with questionable surfaces. This place is stunning, clean, inviting and comfortable. They have a nail salon and the coffee bar is beautiful. The coffee is delicious. I didn't see many food options which was I only gave it 4 stars. Also, I know older kids are allowed but a designated area for them would be ideal as well. So happy to have discovered this place! I booked a pedicure online but then had to cancel a few hours prior due to an emergency. They were super understanding and gave me a gift card (since I had prepaid) to reschedule my appointment. I really appreciated this! I had my pedicure with Nicole yesterday and she was great! I really enjoyed the pedicure, it was very relaxing and the epsom salt in the soak was so nice. She did a great job and I love my pedicure. They also use non toxic nail polishes, and the place did not smell of strong chemicals like nail salons typically do. I love the concept of this place - they cater to moms and have lots of mom networking/classes + mommy and me events, a cafe, and offer childcare in a cute play area. I look forward to bringing my daughter at a future visit! Everyone working here is SO sweet. It's a 40 minute drive from home for me but it's so worth it! read more

OH MY MOMMY HEAVENS! I can't believe it was my first time at this gem of a place!!! I stopped by as I needed a place to work as lofty gets too busy, but I did not realize what an amazing retreat this was for MOMS! First off, the barista was probably the nicest barista I've ever encountered in all of barista lands. She was nice enough to bring out my matcha latte when I was taking a call outside. The matcha was divine and I'm looking forward to trying the other drinks on the menu. I almost felt guilty NOT bringing my kids here bc I know they would have so much fun here. I love how Lullabar has made such a friendly and comfortable environment for moms to enjoy their day with OR without their kids. There were plenty of people there (like myself) just enjoying the cafe and doing their thing. They had the cuuuuuuuutest floral cart where you can pick up flowers if you need in a pinch. I didn't get to use it but the playroom and salon looked sooooooo legit! I went to pickup my kiddo from school and immediately told 10 moms they needed to come here STAT!!!! I have come here a couple of times now when my kids are out of school and I appreciate the convenience of not having to arrange separate childcare for them. My kids enjoy playing in the playroom. The nail techs have done a great job with my service and it's very nice the barista will come to your chair to take your cafe order. Their lattes are excellent. They also offer free wifi. Cons for me are value. You can get a similar service for half the price 10 minutes down the road, so essentially you are paying about $30/hr for the "free" childcare. They don't have massage chairs and if you're charging luxury prices for nail services the bathrooms should be better maintained. 2 of 3 bathrooms were "closed for cleaning" and the third was not particularly clean either. I also found their gift card system frustrating as well. There is no way to see your balance once you've used some of it and you can't book online unless your gift card covers the whole balance. They were able to split the payment for me manually on their end. Overall I will likely come back, but it won't be a regular thing for me personally. read more

This place is soooooo amazing! I can't believe I waited so long to check it out. It's so cute and zen. All the girls working are so sweet. The cafe menu all looks so good. They actually currently have a Doordash BOGO deal too. I tried a Fruit Tea Yum and Pumpkin Chai Latte - both were delicious. They also have some pastries and food, and I think you can get sweetgreen delivered here. It feels so relaxing and safe. I worked a bit on my laptop. Lots of seating and parking. I highly recommend! This review is only for the coffee shop. Aesthetically speaking, this coffee shop is a five out of five stars. It's very cute, inviting, and plenty of outdoor seating. I specially like the flowers hanging from the ceiling over the bar, the friendly smiles of the staff, and again taking in the sun shine in the outside patio. However, I was not very satisfied with our beverages. Their drip coffee was about average, nothing really good or bad to say about it, just like any other coffee shop. My wife did not like the Golden Chai latte, she only had a few sips and could not drink it. She really enjoyed the apple cider muffin. She mentioned it was moist, sweet and very tasty! I tell my mom friends in Los Angeles about this amazing spot in Carlsbad and they are blown away. We first came to Lullabar after my children were born in 2023 and they had just opened (lucky me) *We also really appreciate that the playroom has a separate space for pre crawlers. The space is so well decorated, it's honestly a safe haven for all moms (and dads) We have attended mommy and me yoga and dance as well as the series of MOMteprauneur events that they put on.
