This is such a cute little shop in the Phenix Salon building, next to Tuesday Morning. You text Sheryl when you're there and she meets you at the door. You're the only client in the room so you get her full attention during your appointment. My nails were stronger and longer after just a few visits. The only things keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that she specializes in "dry" manicures using shellac polish, so no water soaking of your hands or gel manicures here (I actually enjoy soaking my hands, but she did explain that is not good for your nails) and there's no visible price/service menu so I'm not quite sure what services are all offered. I like to switch up my manicures and pedicures so a list of services would really help me out. Give this place a try, your nails will thank you! read more

I had a Shellac mani and Sugar Scrub pedi, and my hands and feet look faaaaabulous! I wish I could rate this little salon higher, as a business owner myself, I do try and support local small businesses. I purchased a Groupon and when I called to schedule was told by the owner that I would need to be "on call" for my appointment. In other words, I need to schedule nothing else and if no one else who was a full-paying customer booked, I could come in and use the Groupon. If someone else came in, walk in or appointment, I was out of luck and I would have waited around pushing other tasks back to be on call for nothing. Because I had a Groupon... Since this seemed like a ridiculous joke, I pushed back until she just gave up and scheduled me. Yay! The service was good, I was happy with how my nails looked and felt, and I left feeling good about the whole thing despite the initial bump in the road with the Groupon scheduling. But then three of my shellac nails peeled completely off after just three days. Kind of a pain in the rear to have to drive an hour to get them fixed... but I made an appointment to do so anyway. When I went in to have them fixed, per the appointment time set by the salon owner, I arrived exactly on time and was told I'd have to wait outside for an hour. She said "yeah I guess I told you the wrong time to come in." (???) Seriously? The customer inside the shop heard all of this and said I could be worked in, instead of having to wait for an hour; so I was able to get the three nails repaired that had peeled. Super grateful for that customer. Then three days after the repair, another set of three nails peeled completely off (not the same three that first peeled). Not that it matters... 3-3-3-3 All in threes. If you have an event, don't get your nails done three days before, orrrr.... just AVOID this place altogether since the whole thing is super ridiculous. During the nail repair, I was lectured about "using my fingers.." like for cooking, making the bed, typing at work, scrubbing the toilet, and doing my hair. And THAT's why they peeled.... I should have treated my nails more like diamonds in a ring. Exact words. Wow. Ok. Mental note: lounge around and hire a cabana boy instead of running my business and my household just because I got my nails done here. Duly noted. There were other disturbing issues, like the 5 phone calls that came in from Groupon Corporate with complaints about the same sorts of things I had experienced; while I was there. I could hear half conversation because she was sitting right there, and every time she hung up she basically filled me in on the other half.. stating that her Groupon account rep calls her constantly about people complaining. I made the decision never to come back after hearing the phone calls, but then when my nails literally disintegrated, I had to. All in all, obviously I can not recommend this salon due to the very weird issues and poor quality of service. Total waste of my money. I'm not sure where these 5 star reviews are even coming from.. unless no one is waiting three days before reviewing? Or maybe if you *don't have a Groupon you get a different process done for your nails? I'm not sure.. but I won't be back to find out. read more

If you're looking for an experienced nail care professional who really knows her stuff, you MUST see Scheryl (sp?)! She's the owner and operator and takes great pride in doing a meticulous job. I also had learned a few things while I was there! MY STORY: I purchased a Groupon deal and scheduled an appointment. IMPORTANT - READ things when you buy. The instructions on these things are pretty clear, and so was the voicemail setup at the nail salon. I had great success with communication via text message, and my nails look gorgeous! The sugar scrub was relaxing and Scheryl kept the conversation light and lively. I felt like she really cared about my experience and valued my business...something completely opposite of many experiences I've had using Groupon certificates at local salons. INSIDER TIP: Be sure if you need to reschedule your appointment you contact her at least 24 hours in advance or there's a $25 fee. If you're a no-call, no-show your Groupon will be used for the service you did not show up for. There are also online/smartphone methods for you to book and reschedule. TO THE [FEW] WHINERS: The only complaints I'm seeing here on Yelp are mainly people who didn't follow instructions and/or just showed up and interrupted paying clients during their services O.O Don't do this - it's SUPER rude and I guarantee it's not a good decision. It doesn't matter how upset you are, you don't need to ruin another person's day to validate your feelings. Highly recommend, will return! read more

I bought a groupon for this place thinking I got a great deal, boy was I wrong. I looked up the review before I bought it and it seemed like the lady was very good at her job. I tried to call her multiple times and she never answered. Then I went in to her place to try to make an appointment with her and she was with a client, she said it not "my time" and to text her and she'll respond. So I texted her trying to make an appointment and she NEVER responded to me. Very unprofessional. She told me her scheduling system was down so to please text her with what Groupon it was and she would call me back. Didn't hear back from her. See photo. Wed April 26 I called her (see photo) at 10:15am to try to schedule. She said she was with a client and couldn't access her schedule and would call me back. 4 hrs later I texted her again politely asking to get in Fri April 28. I try to not assume things so I have her benefit of doubt that she was just super busy and would reply by day's end. Didn't hear from her. See photo. I waited until this morning Friday April 28. Not a word. Not a call, nothing. There could be many factors BUT considering she actually verbally told me she would return my call and 2 days later still has not is extremely unprofessional. On her instruction she says to text her for a faster response. I did and she responded. When I said I had a Groupon from her store and I would like to confirm an appointment... no response back!!! My husband set up an appointment for me to go do this. He saw her company on Groupon and got in contact with her before purchasing the Groupon. She honored the Groupon price and we were able to pay cash when I got there. Which actually works out better for her benefit, which is why she can't accept too many Groupons in a day. And I am sure if all these negative reviews asked her that..she would explain it to them. She did everything she could to get me in as soon as possible. She was very easy to talk to, which I get anxiety having to go get my nails done and not being able to know what I'm being asked...and ending up paying $20 more than I was planning because I didn't know what they were asking me.......I'm sorry...but that's real. I got in the studio put my fingers in some warm water, after awhile she started on my nails by cleaning them. She knew what she was doing, very nice, friendly, she got to knew me a little better by asking me questions. While she was painting my nails I accidentally ruin my thumb by touching my other thumb, but she fixed it for me. Scheduling an appointment was a nightmare, took over a month to schedule and when I was given my confirmation it had been scheduled for a day i was working so over a month waiting only to lead to no nail appointment at all. Customer service was atrocious and she told me that I must have made a mistake because she is unable to cancel appointments but I got a cancellation confirmation less than 5 minutes after telling her I didnt want to be put on a wait list. Scheryl is purely amazing. After having many a botched mani/pedi at those not-so-great cheap nail parlours, I found this wonderful woman and my nails were transformed. My goal was to grow out my natural nails long and pretty, and she helped me achieve that. She uses top notch products (CND shellac, vinylux, etc) that are free of formaldehyde and other harmful chemicals. She is knowledgable, detail oriented, and diligent in her work. Not to mention, she is extremely good at what she does, and seriously the sweetest thing ever! When you walk out of her cute and clean salon, you can expect to have nails that are the same shape and polish application that is flawless and even. I have been blessed with very strong, healthy nails all my life.....but it's very difficult to find a nail professional that knows how to treat and care for natural nails. Scheryl took great care of my nails and gave me numerous tips and pointers how to keep them healthy and strong! She does book up weeks in advance so plan your appointment well ahead and call in early. She actually prefers to communicate via text, or you can schedule on-line. If you're trying to get in the day you call, it's likely not gonna happen.....this is a different sort of place. I found her thru Groupon, but due to a severe injury to my left hand that required stitches, I couldn't get in before the Groupon expired. I communicated this to her via text, and she was responsive and flexible. Nearly 6 months after my Groupon had expired, she still honored it without any penalty! For those folks with complaints, my guess is they want to get in the very day they buy a Groupon, and/or they aren't following the instructions as to how this vendor communicates/books appointments. My experience is that she is very reasonable.....BUT, she is also a professional trying to make a living and clients need to respect this. She takes time and pays very close attention to detail. Her salon is impeccable and superclean! Best of all, you have a lot of fun getting your nails done! My nails look perfect every time I leave. She offers shellac as well as other unique services like bio sculpture which takes care of damaged nails from acrylics. If your nails are damaged, she can get them healthy again. I purchased a Living Social special on August 15, 2017 I requested an appointment and was told the first available appoint would be October 24th! I asked if I could be on a cancelation list and was told she didn't have one. The day finally came for my appointment and I was there early and had to wait 10 minutes after my appointment time. As soon as I sat down she said Oh you have Gel you didn't tell me that. For one I never actually talked to her all communication was through text, 2ndly she never asked if I had polish on and what kind. She put the stuff on to remove the polish the entire time looking at her phone and texting. She hurried through my manicure and then came the pedicure, she had a tub and got lukewarm water out of the faucet with a pitcher. I was suppose to have a sugar scrub which she forgot to do, again the whole time looking at her phone and telling me she had another client at 1:30 and was using me to "catch up" on her schedule - she actually asked me if I could forgo toenail polish?!!
