Id coming here again $150 for Mani Pedi. Gel on my toes and builder gel with design on my hands Tommy did my hands. He was in a rush for some reason wish he slowed down and did my corners a bit better. The place was empty in the middle of the day on a week day. Why was tommy rushing ? I had dip powder done yesterday by the male nail tech and I'm just so bummed how quickly he blew through my nails to slap the dip on. I thought a manicure meant cleaning up my cuticles and trimming excess skin around the finger nail as I've always had done elsewhere and he did none of that. He filed my nails, slapped the powder on and another lady applied oil. He didn't apply the powder all the way back on the nail bed so it looks like they've already started to grow out and they were just done yesterday. I still tipped him bc I'm a good person but I'm so sad. Paying $60 for something so sloppily done isn't right and sadly I will go somewhere else next time. Pls next time take your time and give a full manicure, not just slap on powder and move onto the next customer read more

Love love this place! Just went for the first time a few days ago and back again today for a pedicure. First time got a perfect gel cat's eye sparkly red manicure. This time I got a perfect deep red sparkly pedicure. Both times were so fast, professional and calming. Went with my Mom and Gigi and they were very happy with what they got as well :) Prices are so great and fair and 10000% will be coming back. Tommy did my manicure and absolutely slayed the game. Didn't catch the name of the woman who did my pedicure but she also did wonderfully. Both people checked to make sure length, color and style was right and what we were looking for. Vivian did my nails and she was very sweet and wonderful. I gave her and the woman who did my pedicure very large tips. The next day, a chunk of one of my nails chipped off. I went back to fix it. The woman who fixed it was very rude to me. She drilled my nail down so low that my nail felt like it was paper thin. I had to ask her several times to stop using the drill to remove the dip. Very painful. Then she proceeded to redo my nail. She not only used the wrong color, but she couldn't get the nail to dry. It was wet and bumpy. She removed the paint and proceeded to use gel. She replaced my dipped nail with gel in a very lazy way. When I told her I was confused, she was very rude to me, and another staff explained to me that they were not gonna redo the nail again. So rude and so disappointing. I just moved to this neighborhood and was excited to find a new nail place. Not going back here again. read more

I got my pedicure done by Lee and he was excellent. He did a great job and was gentle but thorough. He took his time and made me feel like a priority. On a Sunday morning we were able to get a slot for 4 girls before noon. In total, we spent an hour at the shop. They had enough people to service everyone and we were all pleased with our nail experience. They're open M-S and open as early as 930am. I'll definitely be back! read more

This is my usual place I go to but not anymore. I had a regular mani/pedi. The pedicure was fine. But my manicure was done by Grace and she used Gel products instead of regular nail polish. She did not tell me that she had made an error, it was another coworker who said she would fix my manicure because they accidentally used gel. She made a sloppy attempt to correct by putting my nails in the UV light thing, which did not work. I went back two days later to show them the botched manicure and they said they would fix it. Then charged me $27 for their mistake. I will never go back here! read more

Friendly, affordable and accommodating. It's stressful to not have a consistent place to go to from something that you do regularly - like nails. When i moved to this area, i struggled with finding a salon that worked for me. While there were places that i tested out, they were always missing something and it made it harder for me to want to go back. I finally stumbled into Nail Pop a little over a year ago - and im now at a place that i have a few people that i can request when making my appointments. They have tons of options, they aren't crazy $$$ like some places in this area, friendly and they just got some new pedicure massage chairs. Today I had the unfortunate luck of having a women named grace do my nails. She was abrasive and refused to let me do two colors. She also RUSHED through the service and my nails look like shit. Didn't even ask if I liked them just shoved me out the door and moved on to the next customer. I cannot believe I spent $60 on this. Buyer be warned: I went in for Dip manicure and a deluxe pedicure. The woman who did the pedicure was lazy and gave me the worst leg/ foot massage. She was barely touching my legs and feet. Was a total rip off to pay extra for the upgrade massage time. I have been here at least three times and I have enjoyed my experience every single time! I usually get a regular manicure - pedicure and I've been very happy with that. I especially love their color pallets to choose from, they have amazing color choices. I recently got a gel manicure by a man and had a matching pedicure color as well. It's that time of year again....time for a 5 STAR review for NAILPOP! I've been a client at NAILPOP for two years now and all I can say is...I am SO grateful for Grace and the entire staff. My nails always turn out perfect. I've never had one complaint or issue with my nails here. Grace is my go to for dip manicures and I rotate nail techs for my pedicures because they are all amazing!!! This location is like family. I get my laundry done next door and always enjoy stopping in just to say hello even when I'm not getting my nails done. The massage chairs are so comfortable and the ambiance is stunning. The salon is super clean and decorated cute for the holidays. I was in the store getting my nails done the other night and overheard this family being SUPER rude to Grace and her staff. Grace kept her composure while the guest was being rude, uncalled for, and disrespectful. Sometimes, I wish there was an app to rate customers and or a TV show that shows how RUDE guests can be to staff. It's not fair someone can write a negative review and the entire truth is not being told. There is always another side to every story. In this case, the guest was complaining about being charged for a fix. Well, what that guest is leaving out of her negative review is how she came in with a chipped nail and it costs $$$$ to fix your broken nail! People don't work for free - would you?! I think not. So why should Grace and her staff work for free and fix a broken nail they didn't cause..it costs $$$ for the product to fix your broken chipped nail - someone has to pay for it...point of this story is - Be nice, be fair, and be respectful. Grace and her nail techs are people too. I hate seeing guests be rude to my nail family. Anyways - it's taken me YEARS to find a nail salon as good as this one. Do yourself a favor and stop looking elsewhere. You're wasting your time. This is the place to be. You'll be treated like a valued guest and leave feeling like a million bucks! I so want to give this place 5 stars. It's cute and it's in a great location and they have lovely music and I guess, when it's not Covid, they serve wine. But today's manicure felt rushed and I felt like I was a burden to the person that was doing it. It lasted - in total - about 45 minutes which is about right but I had to ask for a more rounded nail and I had to ask for the color to go closer to my cuticle many times. The gentleman that helped me made no initiative to start a conversation. Again, no biggie. But it's been months since I've had a mani...could it be a smidge more relaxing? I think so. I would come again if I was in the area but by no means do I feel the need to come here again. He didn't even try to upsell me with a heart or anything else like dip powder which again, is fine, but I actually wanted a little heart for Valentine's Day and I totally forgot. I always come here, it's one of my favorite nail salons. Last week I got a pedicure and the girl cut two of my toes so badly. I was bleeding and had to go home and bandage them up. My big toe got infected and I had to put medical grade ointment on it for a week! I won't be going back after this experience. read more

I really do like nail pop. They do a good job, and they have plenty of techs. It's managed very professionally and opens earlier than any other place in town. This time, however, I had a lot of questions and the manager spoke sharply in Vietnamese to the lovely woman who did my nails because I asked her to check with the manager. When I asked her to explain what the manager said, she reluctantly told me the manager was frustrated because she asked too many questions and gets too much help from her (she did not want to speak poorly of her manager; she was very kind and sweet and clearly wanted to keep a positive attitude, which she did). You don't have to speak Vietnamese to know when somebody's getting yelled at I just think that it is better to be patient with the people who work for you. I hope that this is addressed in a patient and loving way I really do not want this tech to end up in more trouble or being treated poorly, but I think I might struggle to return if I think it might happen again However, I do think this is my favorite salon in Encinitas read more

Ok. I changed from my normal place in Encinitas to try this out, my nails look pretty good upon leaving... The girl was friendly and did a decent job but when I went to pay, it seemed very expensive. I looked at the receipt and they charged me for a full set of acrylics, I didn't get extensions or anything. It was just an overlay on my normal nails, plus she added an extra five dollars for a "special nail shape... She just shaped my nails like normal, rounded nails nothing special about it. She told me because it wasn't flat that it was considered special and cost extra. I've never heard of such a thing. Plus, it was an extra $10 to remove what I had. Anyways, such a bummer that I felt like they were being sneaky with the pricing. They used to care so much and have such great customer service. Now it seems like they don't care.
