I've been looking for an esthetician that gives Korean-style facials, which do not use abrasive exfoliants and are gentler for the skin. Facials in the past have hurt and left me with breakouts. Sue is an excellent aesthetician. I've had facials in DC and NorCal but I'm so happy I found Sue when I moved to SD. Sue is, quite simply, the best. Lately, I've been dealing with some rosacea flare-ups. After looking at my skin and talking with me, Sue recommended a few products to try. Sue is both thorough and gentle (even the extractions weren't painful!) My rosacea has calmed down tremendously and my skin has never looked better. After getting a few facials with Sue, I asked her to do my brows -- have thick brows and they can be a challenge but she expertly shaped them...not too thin, not arched in a way that makes me look perpetually surprised but just the way I like them :) I am so happy I found Sue and Pure Skin! read more

I was looking for a new SKIN professional for my regular waxing and facials. I met Sue with our babies at Pioneer Park 6 yrs ago. I made an apt. with her, thus making an amazing new friendship AND making a SMART choice for my face! Every time Sue waxes me I rarely break out. Her office is clean and inviting and SUPER easy to get to. There is a parking lot at the door to her office. I'm so glad I made this professional and friendship relationship. She is funny and chill, and KNOWS what she is doing. I love the FRENCH wax she uses, and I've begun buying the products she chooses, as they work the best...especially the Sunscreen here in sunny San Diego. No joke, sue is one in a trillion when it comes to eyebrows. She literally custom designs your eyebrows to the proper shape, length, and thickness that best compliments your face. Oh and ps. she's priced great too! On top of being the eyebrow master, she gives the greatest, again, CUSTOM facials based on what she thinks your skin needs.
