Super cute location! Went to Alli for facials for both my daughter and I. She customized each facial to our unique needs. Very relaxing and my skin looks and feels so much better. Can't wait to go back! read more

I haven't had a facial in 10 years, and my husband gifted me one with Ali for my birthday. It was heaven on earth! We did a hydrafacial and lymphatic drainage and it was the most relaxing, luxurious experience. Ali is so sweet and I felt like she really cared about my skin. The space is so quiet and beautiful. I already can't wait to book my next appointment!! read more

Sommers Beauty Bar - Skin Care Near Me - Encinitas, California

Was visiting CA for vacation and desperately needed a spray tan. Found Sommers via Yelp and was super happy I did. Ali was a literal angel. I was a little skeptical at first because immediately post spray tan It looked a bit streaky. Ali assured me it was just superficial and wouldn't settle that way and she was right! Once developed, tan was perfect. Would totally recommend Ali! read more

Alli saved my face! I am so grateful I found her. I started seeing Alli earlier this year after my dermatologist recommended that I try lymphatic drainage facials. About a year ago, an accident left me needing about 20 stitches above and below my right eye. I had constant under eye swelling and the scars were becoming discolored from the sun. This was my first time getting a facial and I came in a little skeptical, but Alli has this way of making you feel so welcome. She is extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what I needed. The Hydra facials have all but vanished my undereye swelling and the scars and other fine lines are disappearing too! I moved away from the South Bay and have tried a few different spas, but I do not get the same results and it has been a total waste of money. She is well worth the 2hr drive because she genuinely cares about her clients. She is great at adjusting my treatments based on what I need at the time and now she is the only one I can trust with my face. The spa is gorgeous and located right across from the beach, so it really feels like a treat every time I get to come in! read more

Such an amazing experience at this beauty bar. I got a microdermabrasion facial, and I truly felt like she cared about my skin and had really helpful tips. I already have my next appointment booked and I can't wait! read more

Alli is amazing! I have never had a facial before. I have spent my whole life in the sun, surfing, sailing, etc and my face has taken a toll. I decided to try a hydro-facial and I couldn't be more pleased. The space is really nice, warm and very relaxing. Alli is super friendly and very welcoming. The treatment I received was very good. I was complemented twice just a couple hours afterward, which is strange because I am a man and that has NEVER happened (haha). My face feels smooth as silk and squeaky clean!!! She also gave me some amazing products. I am going to make this my monthly routine. Thanks Alli!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND ***** read more

Alli has been my go to girl from facials to spray tans FOREVER. She has all the knowledge and answers to any questions I have about skin care. The hydra facial made me feel like I left with a new skin and felt so refreshed. Her spot is the cutest and a great little escape to forget about my crazy kids and let her pamper me. Highly recommend her to all my friends and anyone in the area. read more

I'm so glad we found Sommers Beauty Bar! I was tired of going to large spas where you didn't know who would do your service and the results were super inconsistent. My daughter and I have been going to Ali for our brows and we love her! The space is super cute and parking is a breeze. She does an amazing job and truly cares about the results. My brow tint and my daughters wax lasts for so much longer. And best of all she is super sweet and so accommodating of our busy/crazy schedules. read more

I've been coming to Ali for my spray tan needs for about a year now and I can't remember what life was like before her! Over the last 10 years I've tried spray tans here and there and never really liked the results to warrant going back to the same person, until now. Ali is not only lovely, professional and super quick, but the organic product she uses and customizes to you personally has left me coming back for more and more. It's always PERFECT. Never flakes, never patchy, and always fades away softly rather than peeling off in patches leaving you looking horrible. I can't recommend Sommers Beaty Bar more! Plus she has GREAT hours! read more

Alli is amazing, she is my go-to girl for facials and lashes. For my facial, I love the Microdermabrasion facial. It is amazing and my complexion is so fresh and bright after. For lashes, I always get compliments on how beautiful, and natural looking they are. I typically like to go for a natural look, but Alli will help recommend what is best for you based on what you are looking for and the shape of your face/eyes. She is a true professional and expert in everything she does and I can't recommend her enough. She is also so wonderful to be around. Win, win. Can't wait to try a spray tan for my next wedding! read more

Best and Most natural spray tan I've ever had! Alli gave me a spray tan for an upcoming event. I have never felt so comfortable and beautiful in my own skin post pregnancy! Her studio is so cute and welcoming. Looking forward to going back and trying out other treatments for my skin! read more

I used to live in Hermosa Beach and so was down in So Cal for the weekend visiting my friends. A friend recommended Sommers Beauty Bar to me and I'm so happy they did! I booked a spray tan and lashes and man did that make me feel like a new woman!! It was my first time getting lashes and Alli did an amazing job. She talked me through everything which helped me to not feel anxious about the process. She was also really quick. I've heard horror stories about lashes taking forever to get on but it was super painless with her. They also look so good and really natural. I also did a spray tan with Alli. The color was flawless - zero orange, even and natural looking. I love that her space is right by the beach, and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town! read more

Alli is wonderful! She was able to get me in on super short notice & did an amazing job! She was thorough with my lash extensions & it's pretty ridiculous how awesome they look. Her Yelp deal for $150 for $110 is perfect for a newbie & experienced lasher as well so grab it while you can! I may never go back to my natural lashes again. My spray tan is still developing but no problems there either! I would have done a facial since I needed everything on short notice but she recommended against it since it wouldn't have worked well with the other services. Client before profit is always the way to go. Her studio is upstairs at 815 & there's 2 sets of stairs to get you there. Don't turn around when you see a yoga studio! She's tucked away behind that studio ready to beautify ya! Thanks Alli! When I'm back in town I'll see you again! read more

Best eyelashes ever no need to look anywhere else. The owner is very kind and friendly and extremely professional. Highly recommend!

Allison is the best!! I've been going to Allison for almost 2 years now and each service she offers never disappoints. From waxing, facials, to lash extensions- you can't go wrong. I'm a loyal customer and now even consider her a friend. Prices are affordable and she is so flexible to work around a busy schedule. read more

I went here for a hydrafacial. My face feels and looks great after. Alli is incredible. The space is relaxing and beautiful and clean. Parking was easy. Will return. read more

Alli is great! I have been twice for lashes and also a spray tan. She was so accommodating and my lashes look amazing! I have had multiple people comment that my eyelashes are beautiful. They didn't even know they were extensions- which is great as I asked for a glam/ natural look. 100 percent going back - glad I found my new spot so close to home !! read more

Alli has been doing my eyelashes for over a year. I really like her and her place is clean. I didn't really feel that comfortable writing a review. She is the only person who has ever done my eyelashes. I am happy, but I don't know if she does a good job. I got my answer about her competency when I had my eyes examined. My OPTHAMOLOGIST DID NOT EVEN NOTICE THAT I HAD THEM ON!! When I told him, he got out his magnifying glass. He said he sees everything but never sees anything better than Alli's work. He commented that whoever does my eyelashes is a real professional. I cannot think of a better recommendation than that! read more

This is my go to place for my beauty maintenance needs, facial and lashes and every now and hen a spray tan for an event coming up. LA life has me feeling rushed around but every time I stop by I always leave with an extra pep in my step. She's perfected her craft and knows her stuff. If you're a guy, don't be nervous to give her a shot, my BF is hooked on the facials and you will be too. read more

So happy I found Alli!! I saw her first for my spray tan which I was very nervous about because I am naturally a pretty pale person. I was worried I was going to look orange and the color Alli did on me was perfect!! Not orange at all. The second time I went to see Alli was for my lash extensions. I've had them done before and they were clumpy and looked like they were fake. Alli makes my lashes look full and natural. She really takes her time to make sure they are perfect and I am soooo grateful for that! I go back every two weeks for a fill now. Definitely money and time well spent read more

I LOVE going to Sommers Beauty Bar. Alli is the best person to get waxed from on the west coast! Serious. She makes you feel comfortable, she is quick yet super efficient. I recently ventured into her spray tanning service and I'm addicted. She does such an excellent job. She also gives great advice on at home care after her services. 10 stars!! read more

I went to Arielle for my first ever tanning session and she was great! I'm pretty fair skinned so I was nervous it was going to be obvious I had a fake tan. I loyally go to Sommers for spray tans, lashes, and waxing, but based on how great they are, I will likely try more services in the future. Alli is super professional and I always come out of appointments with her feeling like a million bucks. I always head into Sommers whenever I have a special event to go to and need a little freshening up and most recently Alli was my go-to lady for my wedding. She gave me a flawless and even tan that looked natural against my white dress AND insanely beautiful eyelashes. I was so excited and appreciative of what felt like her going the extra mile to make sure I felt beautiful on my big day! Alli is also the greatest waxer and makes what should be an awful/horrific experience as painless as possible with her quick hands and awesome techniques. Sommers Beauty Bar is THE best and I cannot say enough good things about them! read more

Alli changed my LIFE! She is my absolute go-to for anything skin-related lash-related, wax, brow, spray tan, microdermabrasion-related... she literally does it all. My skin completely changed when I turned 30 and I couldn't get my routine down. I was looking for new products, new treatments, and I had always wanted to dive in to facials and microdermabrasion, but I didn't want to bounce around from one esthetician to another. Alli does it all under one roof and is so incredibly informative throughout the process. She recommended a handful of treatments and products that are perfect for my individual needs, and if I have a last-minute photoshoot or an event, she always finds time to squeeze me in! read more

I come here every time I'm in the area so I can get waxed. Alli is very professional and does great work. I definitely recommend her.

Alli at Sommers Beauty Bar has a beautiful space attached to a yoga studio in Manhattan Beach, it's so peaceful in the heart of this beach side town. Alli is the best and does an amazing job on my lashes. She's gentle, meticulous, and I get 10 compliments a day on how full but still natural my lashes look. I'll go to her for as long as she'll have me!!! read more

Great little place tucked away in a little room at Beach House Yoga. Allie is fantastic and always runs on time. Hallelujah!

I've been waxed by many different people from many different places and Alli is by far the best esthetician I have ever been to. Super clean, super efficient and honestly the least painful waxer ever. I live in Long Beach and the commute is more than worth it. Can't wait to try lash extensions next! I highly recommend her :) read more

Alli is THE BEST lash chick hands down. First of all as soon as you text or email her to book she is so prompt and does her best to get you in as soon as you'd like. Her studio is neat, clean, simple, and comfortable. Her service is AMAZING. She did my full set of lashes in an hour and thirty minutes which is standard, and worked very meticulously the whole time. At the end of the full set she shows you your lashes and how to care for them. In order to keep the set looking beautiful she'll recommend coming in every 2 weeks which I have continued to do since I first got my full set in June. I have never once left her shop unsatisfied and am ALWAYS getting compliments on how natural and full my lashes look. She has totally changed my getting ready& makeup game. Not to mention she is totally sweet and has become a great friend! Definitely check out Alli's services ya'll! read more

Must try place! I will NEVER go back to EWC again. I regularly get my waxing needs done here. Alli uses top quality products on your skin and always vouches to use organic ingredients. This place is a one stop shop for all your beauty/maintenance needs. I get my eyelashes done here too and always satisfied with the natural look as well as the longevity. Her place is right next door to a yoga studio. You can even take a class before or after your services. read more

I don't usually do this sort of thing but I needed a spray tan and had a recommendation for Sommers Beauty. I was a little intimated at first but alli was super personable and made me feel so comfortable. Since that first time, I'm hooked on her spray tans! Alli did a wonderful job with my lash extensions! Application took only an hour, and the lashes were durable, natural looking, and easy to manage. I can't wait to go back and get them again for my friends wedding in May (and for my eyes to look as fabulous again)! I would definitely recommend her. By far the best eyelash extension application I've tried in LA. read more

I use to have a lot of issues with turning orange, when I would spray tan, because I am so naturally pale. Alli was recommended by a friend who always has a natural, glowing tan; so I decided to try her out. I am so glad that I did! Alli is absolutely amazing. My tans always come out even and natural looking. I have never turned orange and the tan last for a week! Not only is the product great, but Alli is extremely sweet and always makes me feel super comfortable. Definitely the best I've ever been to! read more

I've been going to Alli for over 3 years and follow her wherever she goes. so far this is the best location. Ocean view, super relaxing. You can take a yoga class and get a facial the same day! I get facials, waxing and one of these days a spray tan. Alli makes you feel so comfortable I would never go to anyone else. She also is awesome about following up on appointments so you don't forget! read more

Allison Sommers is easily the best esthetician I have ever seen. I officially refuse to go anywhere else; I live in Silverlake but she's worth the commute. I hate getting waxed, my skin is just so sensitive, but Allison always gives me the least painful wax ever. She is quick, professional, relatively painless, and she does a superb job! Go see her, you have to. She's amazing! I'm never going anywhere else again. read more
