I haven't had my nails done in years. I wanted to go acrylic so I called ahead to make sure I could come in at that time as I lived down the street. She said of course. I walked in sat down immediately. The lady who did my nails did not speak English but she made gestures to what it was she needed me to do for her. I didn't mind this as I was really relaxed and really enjoyed the fact that she paid so close to attention to my nails making sure that they were done perfectly. I will for sure be coming back and seeing her again and I will get her name and update this review. I went in today with an appointment with a man that works there. I had a feeling lily would not be there due to this corona virus. The man was polite and kind but he did not pay attention to my nails like lily does. My right side is shorter then my left and you can see the blue from my previous polish.. I will be going back but only for Lily. She takes her time and really does an amazing job. Very rough pedicure with an older woman, not relaxing at all. I told her she was hurting me and then it happened again and again.

This is the best nail salon I've gone to! (I can only rate the pedicures because I never have my fingernails done...I'm too rough on them). My toenails have never looked better. Angie is the best! She is so careful with my toes. I have nails that sometimes tend to cut into the sides, and she is so gentle. She actually fixes the problem and takes away the pain. My neighbor, who has problems with her feet due to polio, also comes here. She can't say enough good things about Angie. So gentle. Angie is immaculate with the polish...there are NO imperfections... and she paints fun images during holidays. The mood in the salon is soothing, relaxing. I love coming here each month! read more

Waited 10 minutes for some on to show up. We kept calling Hello, Hello. Turns out Lilly is deaf. Can't hear and can't speak any English. She was in the back of the store, in an enployee area. We pointed to our feet. Through an interpreter on her phone she said a second person would be here momentarily. A second person never showed, so we had to wait double time for 2 pedicures, an extra 45 minutes.. When we went to pay and handed her our credit cards, she said we had to pay in cash, again through her phone interpreter. We did not have $80 in cash plus tip. We waited another 20 min. and told her we had to go. She gave us a piece of paper and said to write name and phone. After this disaster, of waiting 75 minutes extra, Vista Nails had the audacity to call us and told us to come in and pay. I was expecting a call to tell us the visit was comped. We paid, but they then refused to honor a birthday discount, because now it was out of time. A measly $8. Spoke to Angie, the owner, she refused to budge on anything. Bye, Bye!! read more

I'm new to Vista and started coming here about 6 months ago. Lily always gives me the best gel pedicures! They definitely take their time here, and I've never felt rushed but expect at least an hour for a pedicure. The salon is clean and I'm always happy with the finished product! Literally the worst nail salon I've ever been to and I've been to a couple bad ones. The lady who was in charge was rude to her own employee and didn't help him when he accidentally spilled a box of nail tools. She just yelled at him and watched him pick up everything by himself. I wish i was able to help him if i wasn't carrying my baby. She was rough with my toes and cut them all the way down to my skin which i asked her to just trim a little. She filed my skin a lot and i kept saying ouch. She didn't fix my right pinky toe that the gel polish kept coming off of. And on top of that.. my gel pedicure was $68 total. Unbelievable! I was delighted to find this place the 4 times I went. It was great. What spoiled it was the unbelievably rude man named Minh. (Similar posts about him). He not only has horrible vibes but clearly he's talking shit about me because I claimed my nail polish I left the week prior. Then things escalated when he grabbed my polish I brought in middle of manicure which I later discovered was his wife and grunted he would polish my nails. I told my technician I'd like her to finish instead, from there on out he talked incessantly clearly about me. While his body language said everything whipping around the shop etc. by the end he was yelling at me even as I left, it was unreal. Literally I left in tears. Horrible experience. I had a mani/pedi. Cost = $30. My nail tech was Linda. It's great to come in when they first open especially on a weekday. She was able to thoroughly clean my nails and clean the cuticles. The massage chair was great because it really hit the right spots. Reason for the 4 stars was because I didn't realize until I got to my car that my nails on my thumbs could have used a third polish coat. When I looked at it at a certain angle, it looked fine but when you angle it differently, I could see the thin coat on both nails. read more

My sister and I came in for a dipping powder set and a pedicure and everything was very rushed. The two women who worked on us seemed annoyed and the customer service was not very good. I got the color 149 for my dipping powder which is a PINK natural color. We washed our hands with dish soap when we got home and the color of our nails changed!! Hers was color "earthy nude" and as you can tell there's nothing nude about it and mine is no where near pink I spent $137 dollars between the two of us and I'm so upset I even waisted my time. Now I will have to waist more money to go and get this color off and fix what was supposed to be right the first time. read more

Today I was deeply disappointed when I got my eyebrows waxed, and the fact that the lady tried to justify that she didn't take much off was completely wrong. I literally even had to ask for my money back she didn't even offer. Don't let this negative review reflect the overall store, I think it was just the individual who should've not been doing eyebrows, but she definitely wrecked me and I am going to be very sad for the following weeks until they grow back. I literally was crying and even her employee agreed with her but yet she still try to justify the fact that that it was terribly done, she simply messed up. Today, I wanted to do something special since I'd be attending the Marine Corps Ball, and decided to have a concoction of colors with a unique design. Needless to say, I'm extremely happy with how my nails turned out. Kathy also did a great job on my eyebrow wax job, so I'll be making future wax appointments with her. To summarize my experience: They are honest and hard working, and are not afraid to let you know if they are unable to fill a request. Their quality of service is important to them, and to maintain quality service, they won't lie and pretend they know what they're doing if they don't. They are kind, patient, and very welcoming the second you enter the salon. Aside from offering free snacks and beverages, they definitely go out of their way to make you feel at home. Every client they service isn't just an income to them-- they treat everyone with the utmost care and remember who you are. Despite a minor language barrier, they do what they can, and need to, do to understand your needs. At the end of the day, they want to help you achieve the glam you walked in to ask for! To me, those are the most important aspects of quality customer service, and they perform these well. I refuse to go anywhere else, because this level of service is rare. read more

My gel was not cured correctly and quite literally came out of my nail all over my hands the next day. I came in for a gel manicure last night at 6PM. I called a few minutes in advance and they said they had a manicurist available. Unfortunately, the man who did my gel manicure did a really bad job. He did not file my nails evenly and some of them are crooked! I feel bad because he seems like a nice man but the quality of his work was not great at all. With the newest owner who has changed the name, interior decor, purchased the latest and greatest colors/techniques plus has everything to offer from snacks and beverages. She has also included a suggestion box by the front door (huge) customer service gesture! This nail salon is definitely one of your mom and pop shops with care versus your high volume "hurry up and buy or inflate" salons. I recommend making an appointment or call prior to arrival. Tried this place for the 1st time today, definitely will be going back! Only did pedicure for today , friend and I did the deluxe one , it was of the best if not the best one I've ever had! Great scrub and mask that they use for leg and foot , nails perfectly painted also. Complimentary Coffee and hot coco bar, or little fridge with water bottles, juice boxes and sodas if want something cold, also candy bowls, jelly belly's and peanuts to take for snack. I'm VERY disappointed in them. The staff was very friendly, the guy who did my nails was very nice and quiet. The women who was next to us was nice but made it awkward because she told me my husband looked like my brother....(what). Anyway went in to get 2 pedicures got the deluxe $40 each. My husband was in PAIN the whole time Kathy was digging into his big toe and he told her to please not dig so deep down. Long story short my husbands toe is Infected, swelled up to twice the normal size and we had to go to urgent care to drain his toe . My nail polish also bubbled and peeled off the 3rd day in (I wear close toed shoes). I called them and the OWNER says "I can't give you a refund because customers have taken advantage of us"we paid an almost $300 bill at urgent care, I even said they could keep the tip because they still did the work. Refused me again. The owner is effin rude. Will not be going back here again. They are apologetic but apologies don't change the fact that y'all infected my poor hubby's toe. read more

I saw the positive reviews and since I live in the area wanted to give this place a try. I was disappointed unfortunately, I had called ahead to make an appointment but when I arrived it was acknowledged that I had called ahead but it felt like the gentleman that was being asked to do my pedicure did it because he had and would have preferred not to do my pedicure. He did ask if I wanted the water warmer and turned on the massage for my chair but that was the extent of the positive. I was not asked what type of pedicure nor shown any type of pricing/menu to choose from so I am assuming given he did not want to do my pedicure he did the most basic and quickest to get me out of his way. The callous treatment was so minimal that I am still left with calluses, the massage was perhaps 30 seconds long for each leg, the worst part is my polish job, it is by far the worst I have had, I had to ask for my big toe to be fixed and it looks worse now. I will have to get a pedicure this weekend some place else as I cannot just leave my nails like this, they already look like a 2 week old polish job as is. I was driving to Carlsbad from Vista to get my nails done. I decided to look on Yelp to see if there was a nail salon closer to me that did the Powder Dip nails. Min was my technician and not only was he great to talk to, but he did a FANTASTIC job!!!! I am thrilled with my nails. They look really good. His price was responsible and I left him a good tip because he took time with me to get my nails perfectly done. Who has time to drive an extra 30 minutes each way to get their nails done? Not me!! I'm so glad they're open again! It's been so long since I've had a pedicure bc of COVID-19, and it's a bit of a different experience, but it was still nice to give my feet some much needed TLC. I always pick #2. I'm not a fan of the paraffin wax in the #3 option. The owner is always so friendly. I feel bad the system has changed, but glad they are all able to work again. Definitely get the punch card bc the pedicures add up to a free one after your 10th pedicure. Also if you don't see a color on the wall you like you can look through the book of colors. I went to this nail shop for the first time today just to get my eyebrows waxed. Parking is horrendous and there isn't much parking close to the shop so u will walk maybe a block or so(not too bad). I did not have an appointment today, but the wait was not long. When she brought me back I told her what style I liked and just to please clean up the hair to better shape my face. She proceeded to wax the left side first and I felt my skin rip open, but she just apologized and then continued to the right side. Only when she went back to the left side and tried to remove the stuck on wax, did I begin to feel burring from whatever liquid she was using to clean the area she had just waxed. When she finally allowed me to look in the mirror, I said "oh no, I have plans tonight" and she told me that it would be ok that she ripped my skin because I could just put some makeup on my open wounds that she had caused. She then tried to put the blame on me and said that my skin was just sensitive. I was very upset because don't even wear makeup, but if I did I wouldn't want to cake dirty makeup into my pores of areas already missing skin. This is the worse advice I would ever want to receive from someone who runs a business in skin care and beauty. In order to stay calm I didn't say anything. The woman did not charge me because she felt bad at the end. My eyebrows were not my style, but like I said it was my first time and this woman doesn't know my preferences yet. Maybe they are better with nails but I WILL NOT be finding out. First impressions are everything and I am a loyal customer looking for a new place to call MY nail place, but I really don't have anything positive to say about this place from my experience today. Going somewhere to feel better about my appearance and leaving feeling worse. I wish I could give less stars and get my time wasted back. All the nail technicians are so nice and the prices are very reasonable and competitive. The spa chairs are clean and they use disposable liners which is a must for me. My feet feel so clean after and my polish usually last at least a month. They have a HUGE selection of new polish and gel polish to choose from.
