Wow I made an appointment to get my nails done and I show up on time the lady tells me to wait 30 minutes, I asked why do I have to wait I made an appointment didn't answer me the other lady comes out telling me she was going to take another customer over me first I was like oh ok ... I put my nail polish back and walked out of the nail salon.. I felt their customer service was unprofessional and if someone makes an appointment it's bc they want to be seen at that time and doesn't need to wait more time appointments should be taken in first right? MUCH better experience the third time going, this time for a fill. I learned my lesson and got there at 10:00 am when they were supposed to open. Docked a star cuz she was 15 mins late so the salon didn't open up until 10:15 and I had been waiting since 9:55. No real biggie tho. I chose to come at this time because I figured it would be less busy. I was mistaken but because I was the first one there I think Maybe that's why she spent more time on my nails this time? I was very impressed with how the shop was maintained. The interior space is very clean and the decor is very warm and welcoming. Most nail techs that I've ran across tend to use the drill like they are drilling for oil. This was not the case at Golden Nails. She was very gentle the whole time as she was working on my hands. For starters, the women working there were very nice. However I made an appointment and even arrived a little early. There were only two women working on a Saturday. She took a walk-in and didn't honer my appointment. I was there for 2.5 hours before I got my pedicure and was not able to get my nails done with gel because I simply could not wait any longer. It was infuriating. Furthermore, It's a tiny little place that claims they're the cleanest nail salon...but the walls are dirty, there's children's toys scattered around and there was a baby cockroach walking on the pedicure spa. Gross! I did go back the next day to finish my gel nails. I wouldn't have gone back but I needed her to fix my toe polish which I messed up because I was rushing to get to another appointment. I've been doing gel/shellac nails for the last two years. They ALWAYS last at least two weeks if not more. This time they only lasted 8 days before it started coming off. I've been going to Mindy for a few years on and off and things haven't changed. Call ahead or make an appointment!! I've loved my pink & whites and have not had any lifting issues whatsoever. I wash my hands all day long with no problems. She is the only waxer and only has help with nails on Friday & Saturday. So expect some interruptions while getting a full or full set, with walk-in quick waxes. Unfortunately comes with the territory but she does good work and haven't found a nail shop that my nails don't lift! I always get compliments on my nails too!! read more

Worst waxing experience ever. Maybe they give good mani pedis but do NOT try their bikini waxing services. I had been there once before a year ago for my first wax ever. Not a bad experience, they were friendly and the woman did a good job. Any hairs she missed she plucked or threaded out so I had maybe only two or three straggler hairs left when i went home that I just plucked out whatever, not a big deal. But this time the woman went over the same spots over, and over, and over again. I don't know if her wax was old or something but my hair is NOT that difficult to get out. She left bruising on my left groin tendon and left hairs behind. She didn't go back and pluck or thread the left over hairs, (and there were a lot). I even mentioned there were still a lot left so she went back and did it again with colder, thicker wax, which I'm sure is what bruised my skin so badly. So incredibly painful. I left there with a mediocre wax job that I paid $20 for (god I even tipped her) and a still hairy hooha. I would never go back there again. read more

They charge my mother in law $5 for a little flower and I told them I didn't want one so she started scrubbing my feet and said oh this is $5 more. I went yesterday to her right after forever nails had ruined my nails! So I went to her and she was soooo nice and fixed them and now I love them. She also told me her worker that does pedicures had quit 3 days ago to go work with forever nails and now her customers would wait longer cause it's only her. I'm very disappointed in this place. My wife wanted to get her nails done. Two people were working on the woman before her. 10 min later one of them helped my wife. 5 min in someone else walked in and my wife had to wait so the lady could help her. This happens 3 times. Even when the other worker was finished just sitting playing on her phone. Looking at me like I did something wrong. Overall. They need to focus on one customer at a time. read more

I've been coming here for a few years and Mindy is great at what she does. I usually switch between coffin and stiletto shape nails and she's by far the best at shaping. She has a lot of regulars who only come to her so I recommend calling ahead for an appointment especially on weekends. read more

First time here. I live across the street so I thought I'd try it. Super small place. It's a hole in the wall spa and it's so dirty and ugly. They were selling cheese graters for 3$ haha what the! They don't have a credit card machine , they charge you by using a paypal app on their phone and it charges a dollar extra to use your card. The spa chair don't have any massage to them and they have super worn pillows on the chairs instead. The chairs are old and dirty and the fabric is peeled off. To dry your nail they pull a huge industrial looking house fan and blow the air on your toes! To get my toes painted I waited an hour. There were only two women working and my feet just stayed in the cold water. I will admit she did a good Job painting my toes but that's it. And they try to up sell even though I said no. Prices aren't that decent. Go somewhere else! read more

Mindy.is awesome. She does such an awesome job shaping nails to make them look natural. I've received several compliments on my nails since I started going to her. Since its usually her and another person at the salon working, expect to have interruptions while getting your nails done. Saturday's are very busy and the wait times are longer then normal. They are closed Monday's and Tuesday and Wednesday are their not so busy days. Mindy is pretty quick and definitively worth it. read more

I wasn't very pleased with the services here. A friend and I went in for a full set and pedicure. We arrived at noon and were immediately taken for our pedicures and were expecting that right after our pedicures they would do our full set.After our pedicures the ladies that were doing our nails started on other clients we were asked to leave and come back? After some hesitation we decided to go back. My nails look nothing like I requested and after both services and tip I'm walking away very unsatisfied and $90 spent and 4 hours of my day gone. I feel bad writing this review but I seriously cannot get passed what I have had to go through with this salon. I love Mindy she does great work, my tips always looked neat and fresh and perfect and my toes and eyebrows were flawless. It's a tiny salon though and people are coming in and out and the wait is terrible. Me and my mother were ok with this since we would take off a whole day to go get our nails dine *we would arrive at 12 noon and leave at like 4pm* after a while I stopped doing my nails here but my mom continued. Well 2 weeks ago it was my cousins baptism the church was at 1pm so I arrived at 9am to get a mani pedi. She opened at 10 which was ok, and set me up with her assistant to do my pedi. The pedicure was great. But then people showed up and I had to wait for 2 other clients AFTER I had finished with my pedi so I was sitting there. When I finally got on the chair it was 11:30. Well I paid her up front so that I wouldn't have to wait to go through my purse after getting my nails done, I gave her a $8 tip and a $4 tip to the pedicure lady. Well she did the tips and powder, and suddenly started reaching for her bag and LEFT ME she kept saying she had to pick up laundry and shell be right back. OMG!! I was shocked, angry, annoyed, appalled. It was unprofessional and it was already 12:30 so I had to call my boyfriend, mother, and cousin that I wouldn't be able to usher the guests into the church, she arrived after 15 min and continued as if nothing had happened. When I told my mom she was completely angry. I will not be returning. I'm really sorry to say but I feel extremely offended. Who would do that!?! I guess if you want to go they are really nice but you have to be able to have a TON of time to get your nails done. read more

I'm from out of town, and while on vacation, decided to get a pedicure. I drove around town and decided to go here because it had an ok yelp score, and I had no clue where to go...bad idea. Although my friend and I were seated quickly, the massage chairs were broken, and they were so old they had to put cushions on mine for back support. I had gel polish on my toes, and the girl did not let it soak in the acetone long enough, and instead of leaving it on longer, she proceeded to scrape my toenail off layer by layer even though I said it hurt several times. All she did was say sorry and continue scraping my nail off, and it was so bad that she scraped off my nail down to the nailbed in one spot and made the middle of my toenail bleed! She also didn't even know enough English to even know the words for what the salon offered, and when I asked if they did callous treatments, she had to have me yell across the salon to someone else to translate it for her. At this point I was already in pain and bleeding and was looking forward to the standard foot/lower leg massage that is typical of getting a pedicure. This, however, only consisted of her rubbing in the lotion on my legs and feet. Then when we were at the area to dry our toes, we got kicked out of our seats so that the next person could dry their nails, even though my friend had only been sitting there for about 2-3 minutes. I actually was not going to write a review, but today (the very next day) I saw that on one toe my polish has already noticeably chipped! Oh, and their callous treatment that costs additional money, does nothing more than cost additional money, because my feet feel exacty the same. read more
