I started going to Essential Spa originally to get help with my aging skin. My skin looks and feels fantastic now. People comment on how great my skin looks and always think I'm younger than I am. In true Michelle fashion, I had a fast approaching vacation and did not have all my ducks in a row. I had grown out my hair but hadn't made an appointment. :facepalm: I reached out to the girl I had previously seen for sugaring to try and get in, not a single word to this day. Not a sorry no time, nothing. Saw Essential Spa but obviously wanted to stick where I was comfortable if I could over something new. MAN AM I GLAD THAT DIDNT HAPPEN! Missed all the open spots with Steffanie but decided to reach out and ask just in case, all else fails I shave. To my happy surprise, she replied same day and said she could get me in the next day! Woohoo! At first it's like where am I going, because the spa is in her casita but it's beautiful and totally not weird. I was immediately comfortable with Steffanie. She's super hygienic, changing gloves and sugar constantly. And she gave me a little bag of post sugar care products to take on vacation. It's now been like 2 weeks and I just have some random hairs that have grown back. Unfortunately for my previous person, I won't be back because Steffanie has shown me how it could be elsewhere! I have been to several different places in hopes of receiving a facial that would not only be beneficial to my skin, but also help me figure out what products to use on my skin. I have sensitive skin, alopecia, and issues with eczema, but I refuse to give up on finding products that will help me age gracefully and show off my skin as much as possible! I showed up this afternoon with dry skin, an eczema flare-up on my neck, and nervous how my skin would react to her products. WOW!!! Just wow!!! I have never waxed anything besides my eyebrows. I stopped waxing that after having such a horrific ordeal with my last lady after going to her for 6 years. Now that I have gone to sugaring instead of waxing I will never go back. I can now sit through a bikini sugaring with barely a wince and no need for no scream cream. I visited Steffanie for the first time today because a close friend recommended her who has been going to her for years. I have never been waxed before and I was sooooo nervous. She made me feel at ease even when I talked to her over the phone because I was considering canceling my appointment because of the nerves. Once I got there she took the time to chat and get to know me and my hesitations and made me feel completely comfortable. She walked me through the procedure and never made me feel rushed or anything like that.
