Little did I know the semi-annual sale was going on and there was a line since capacity was/is being limited. The capacity limit was/is 16 people and that includes the staff. So you can imagine it's not hard to reach 16 people relatively quickly. After an approximately 15 minute wait I finally made my way in! The employee at the door put sanitizer on everyone's hands who entered. She also handed customers a paper shopping bag in varying sizes depending on what size you indicated you wanted. Once inside it was a relatively calm shopping experience because there's not a lot of people inside so there is plenty of space. Also, the one staff member stocking shelves and roaming about was pretty helpful. The store overall was very clean and orderly. Upon checking out the cashiers would sanitize the card reader and counter in between each customer. Besides the wait in line it was an overall pleasurable shopping experience. Of course by time I left there was no longer a line nor wait at all. So I guess its just the luck of the draw. I also had a nice conversation with one of the employees on my way out. I'll be back to this Bath & Body Works.

This store can get CROWDED during the semi-annual sale. The staff does a decent job of keeping the displays relatively neat, though. Like I said earlier, service from the staff varies widely. I've seen people go out of their way to help a customer find or identify a particular product... and then there's the experience I had during my last visit. I had a $10 off $30 coupon and gave it to the cashier. She didn't bother to look at it, but scanned it and gave me my total. The total seemed high, so I looked at the pay screen and noticed that I was a little under $4 short of the $30 mark, so the coupon wasn't applied to the total. I informed the sales associate that I was a few dollars short on the purchase and that I was going to grab a few more items. She clearly had no idea of this (fairly common) promotion and kept trying to get me check out without them; repeatedly and aggressively asking me which method I planned to use (mind you, I had my card in my hand the entire time). I told her again that I was going to grab a few more items so that I could take advantage of the promotion and use the coupon and as I'm walking away, she says "Oh, so you don't want it?" ["it", being my purchase]. WHAT PART OF "I'M GOING TO GET MORE ITEMS SO THAT I CAN USE MY COUPON" WAS NOT CLEAR?!?! Good grief! I ask the other sales associate if he can explain to her what I've been telling her the whole time, and he just stares blankly at me. At this point, I was the one rushing to hurry up and complete the transaction because it seemed like everyone in there that I interacted with seemed to have left their common sense at home. Getting some discounted hand soap should not have involved so much headache.

As it is the only remaining shoe store in here now. You can tell it is a DSW before you even get near it with that totally white interior with the lights blazing out of the store. Inside, it's like every other store in the chain. White walls, white ceiling, white floors, aisle upon aisle of shoes. No rhyme or reason as to how they put their stock out. I went through the men's section and was about to leave when I found what I wanted to look at on a display in the main aisle. No organization to this but to just hope that a box that had your size on it might be something they have on display. After rummaging through this pile of boxes I did find something I wanted. I will give it too them, even though this is a massive store, they were still able to pop up out of nowhere to see if I needed any help finding anything. Like you as an employee has any idea what you have in stock any more than I as a customer knows. I declined and went about my business and made my way to the register. Did I mention I hate shopping for shoes. It might be because I used to work for a shoe store and knew what was about to hit me at the register. The attempt to sale me more items to go with my shoes. No, I don't want your socks, sealants, or any other magical potions. Then they ask if you want to sign up for their rewards program. Ma'am, does it look like I care about shoes that much? But the price was what got me or I wouldn't have been in line to checkout.

There are great blue shopping bags in a variety of sizes. The emphasis is mostly dorm rooms and getting a student organized. They still have the wonderful Elfa closet items and kitchen items. I love the office supplies (Dollar Tree also carries the zippered envelopes). There used to be a larger variety of tiny items that could hold earrings, pins or pills. Now the selection is limited. The front display areas still have creative items for storage or fun. If you need clear storage bins for shoes, clothes and other treasures, there are varied sized. The large bag on wheels is great for groceries or other shopping. There is something for everyone.

But, I will say they only had one person at the checkout line, so it took a while. We will see if anything changes during the fall holidays. A lovely new women's clothing store opened at Westfield Montgomery Mall. It is called Mango and…read moresince I love the fruit, the name already brought good vibes. I love the way they have outfits all put together including the shoes and purses. Service was great. A salesperson greeted me and asked if there was anything she could do to help. I thought that was very nice. I think that a lot of the clothing is styled for the working women. There were beautiful outfits in a rainbow of lovely colors. The price point was fair for a boutique style clothing store. It was priced like a Nordstrom's equivalent. But, you add the already designed outfits and the excellent service. I would be willing to pay for the convenience and quality. Be sure to check them out.

I was greeted by the store manager, Lisa, who worked diligently with me to meet my preferences and fit. She also gave me a lot of pointers about style I was not aware. I appreciated her patience and assistance in trying on a large number of clothes to find the ones I was truly pleased with. Also no sales pressure and she helped me find great value items.The sales were excellent and most of my items were under $5, $10, or $20. So much better than the hit or miss sizing and feel that you get from on line ordering. Plus much more fun.

Shopping nearby I decided to stop in here and see if maybe I could find some frames and make those dreams of mine come true. Short story here, I didn't. They were having a sale on frames, but it appeared that everyone else had the same idea as I did, or maybe they all needed the same size as I did. Each area I would go to the size I needed was gone. With Michaels being one of the few stores where everything they have is on the shelves, I was out of luck here. I have to say, I was amazed, however, with the way they were able to cram a whole store into this space. It is not your conventional setup for a Michaels and they somehow managed to get the whole store in here.
