    3. Almond Fried Chicken with Phad Thai Lunch

Went for lunch. A lot of indoor seating very friendly staff, very clean inside, lot of free street parking nearby. Food was very good and tasty, would come back again. Owner was very friendly and said that they've been open for 40 years.

We arrived Sunday around 7 and parked right out front on the street. The restaurant was Empty. A nice lady greeted us and took our orders. The decor is simple, clean, and welcoming. We came here for the salt and pepper crispy tofu. It's one of my favorite dishes of all time! GET IT! We asked for chicken recommendation and ordered the general tso and a half order of string beans. The tofu was to die for - so crispy and flavorful. The string beans were super yummy with garlic and scallion. The chicken had huge pieces and lots of crispy goodness in a garlicky sweet and spicy sauce. The fortune cookies with the check were also quite tasty. The only downside here is the steep prices. Everything we had was top quality. I'd pay a lot for the tofu and find it worth it :)

Best Chinese in Seattle! Everything is done so well, not super greasy like your typical Chinese meal. Favorite dish is the salt & pepper chicken (not on the menu, secret order!) Their spicy wontons and potstickers are great appetizers. Then we got the lo mein, fried rice, and salt and pepp chicken. Also the sweetest people own this place and have forever! They deserve to be known!

We had a group of 12 come in after the WIAA High School State Championship game on Saturday 12/2. Amy and Mr Lee treated us like family and filled our belly's full of amazing food! What a beautiful family and amazing restaurant! We have been eating at China Village since our boys were little and it was our first time at the new restaurant location. Bravo!!! 5 stars all the way!!

True story...drove an hour and a half for a vasectomy in Sand Point on my Birthday of all days. Found the best yelp rated restaurant in the area. Ordered 4 dishes to go for my post-surgery meals. It was 2 pm so pretty slow in the restaurant, and the owner Uncle Lee greeted me at the door. He laughed at the amount of food I ordered for just me and I explained my situation. He said he gets alot of business from nervous men like me about to have surgery around the block. He welcomed me to sit and drink lots of water while I wait. I asked if the men usually have a drink before the surgery, he said ya I'll make you a strong one and he did. He sat down at the table next to me and we had the best conversation to take my mind off my pending surgery. When he found out it was my birthday also, he offered me another drink on him. I laughed and said I probably shouldn't, so he said I at least need to have a free birthday soup in the to-go bag. The food came and I still had time to kill for surgery. As I went to try the soup out of the to-go bag, he said no that's for your recovery, let me get you a new birthday soup for now. Got me a fresh bowl and it was delicious sweet-sour variation. You can tell the quality ingredients and talent used in the making of this soup. He was concerned that microwaving the food post surgery would diminish some of the dishes so he told me the best way to reheat each dish, and insisted I tried it fresh so I did and it was definitely 5 star Asian food(Chinese/Thai). After talking for 40 minutes and trying samples of his food, he wanted to meet my dogs n my truck I was talking about as he shared about his dogs. He followed me out to my truck around the block with fortune cookies for my dogs and was sooo sweet with them. Had the surgery and just ate the dishes at home and I'm very happy with each meal, the Mongolian beef is tender asf. Perfect spicy too. One of the best Mongolian Beefs I've had to be honest. He gave me extra spicy sauce just in case. Seems like only bad reviews for this place are many years old and from people in a hurry. I urge you to go enjoy not only the great traditional food, but the experience of meeting Uncle Lee and his staff. I will be back someday even though I live an hour and a half away.

They have locations both in Downtown Seattle and Greenlake, but I have only been to their Downtown Seattle location which has a beautiful view of the Puget Sound. The atmosphere is dark, trendy, and modern- perfect for a date night or nice evening out. While they are a white table cloth, sit-down restaurant, you can dress casually or dress up a bit - both are completely acceptable. This most recent visit I ordered the COCONUT PANANG CURRY with chicken ($25.95) and my friend ordered her favorite dish, SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE ($28.95). On a past visit, I've had their CLAY POT SHRIMP & GLASS NOODLES (KOONG OB WOONSEN) ($27.95) which was absolutely fantastic and has had me hooked on Pad Woonsen ever since! I saw the COCONUT PANANG CURRY recently in my Instagram feed and knew I had to get it. It is served in a whole coconut (yes a real, fresh coconut!) and comes with a champagne flute of fresh coconut juice from the coconut they hollowed out and a side of Jasmine rice. The curry was rich, flavorful, and full of Thai basil and peppers. The coconut juice was light and refreshing and a great contrast to the thick curry. The SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE (which I've sampled before), is gigantic, aromatic, and served with a giant grilled garlic butter fillet of salmon on top. The salmon is extremely moist, oily, and bursting with flavor. The rice is fragrant and has garlic paste, red bell pepper, carrots, and green onion. If you're looking for a tasty and protein-packed meal, this is the dish! Parking is honestly tough in this area as it's located on 1st. They have limited street parking and a few paid parking garage options around. I recommend light railing or Ubering here if you're not already in the downtown Seattle area. Service is always great and we always get our food quickly, no matter how crowded they are. The staff also take the time to check up on your table during your meal. Overall: 5/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 5/5 for atmosphere

Even though I really wanted to love this place, this place was definitely overhyped; I'd say it's about the same level as A Ma's, which I also didn't enjoy. It might be because the place has gone super viral as we ended up waiting 80 minutes on a Saturday night, so quality control might be more difficult at this point. Tip: the iPad will say the wait is 30 minutes, do not trust the iPad. Hainan Chicken was tasteless and overcooked. The texture was way too chewy and was my least favorite preparation of the night. Gai Tod (fried) was better with a crispy outside, but still a tad overcooked. Gai Yang (grilled) was definitely the best version of chicken and is solid enough if you live nearby, but definitely not driving out of your way or waiting for. Rice wasn't super fluffy and I just prefer garlic rice over ginger. The chicken stock is probably the best part of the rice plates. Upside is the joint is definitely family owned and they do their best to provide good service in spite of the chaos. They'll take your order before you get seated, so the food comes out fast and are generally very sweet when checking in.

He said his meal was delicious but big portion so we both took to go our leftovers. I tried the curry and it was super tasty. I ordered my go to prawns Pad Thai and chose spice level 3. Vibe - When I walked in, it felt like I was in a nighttime district on the streets of Thailand, eating and drinking whatever they had available. The vibe was that of a dark ambiance, with neon lights shining throughout the restaurant. Hospitality - The front-of-house staff was well-mannered and courteous, and they seated us quickly on a Monday night at 8:00 PM. It was a relatively busy night. However, we ordered fairly quickly, and the food came out within 10 to 15 minutes. Food - Food-wise, we ordered the Fried Papaya, Crispy Fried Rice, Khao Soi, Tom Yum, and Crispy Pork Belly Fried Rice. Gosh, I have to say, I was blown away by the flavors and the portion sizes! Typically, four dishes can serve three people, but I felt like these could have served five. The fried papaya salad was lightly battered with a typical papaya salad dipping sauce featuring a base of fish sauce, green beans, tomatoes, and chilies. It was good. The crispy fried rice was served with lettuce wraps, and OMG, I kid you not when I tell you this is some of the crispiest rice I've ever had. It's hard to find, but when you do, you can't wait to take another bite. I thought the khao soi overall was not bad. I enjoyed that they put the fried noodles on top so that you can mix them into the curry when it's brought out. Lastly, the pork belly was well-cooked with a crispy, crunchy exterior, and served with delicious Thai-flavored fried rice! Drinks - We ordered the Thai lemon iced tea and the Thai tea cremosa. Both tasted good. Overall, I was very satisfied with this place, and if I lived here, I could see myself grabbing some late-night bites with the homies.
