We visited Uncle G's for an after dinner treat. There is ample outdoor seating as well as indoor seating, but parking seems to be a bit limited since there were cars parked along the sides of the cross streets and their lot was full. We were lucky enough to catch someone pulling out if the lot. We're both peanut butter and sundae people, so we got the Peanut Butter Lover's sundae. It was supposed to come with vanilla soft serve, but we like hard ice cream so we switched it. It came topped with fudge, peanut butter sauce, peanut butter cups AND Reese's pieces, whipped cream and a cherry. I can't say it's my favorite sundae experience I've ever had (considering cost, size, vessel & location) but it was delightful and definitely hit the spot! If it were an evaluation based on purely ingredients, it would win. The location is definitely family friendly and has much space for kids to play. There were kids playing catch with a football that nearly hit me in the back of the head, so that wasn't ideal, but I survived haha.

Hands down the best pumpkin custard in Western NY. It's only here and there in September/October at the end of their season, but I watch for it and make a point of getting it. It's far from their only good thing, but if they had nothing else, I'd go out of my way to come get it. Plus, you cannot beat the amazing location. Which is beautiful with the changing leaves in fall. I wonder how long the pint of pumpkin custard I brought home that is in my freezer will last? I know why they aren't open all year, but I will miss them! P.S. Their maple custard is very good, too!
The service was very fast and my Chai Milkshake was made very well. Everyone was very kind, and it's a nice place to go on a summer day.

Lots of flavors, cups, dishes, shakes, sundaes... they even claim if they don't have what you want, just tell them and they'll make your ice cream dreams come true... I didn't test this, but it's possible! They have gluten free, dairy free and sugar free as well... Last day of the season and they're having a "whatever is left sale" ... make sure you ask the prices... I was charged full price for an item that I thought was part of the sale... it was not. Go here when it opens back up in 2022... worth the calories!
This ice cream shop has a huge menu including Perry's ice cream, soft serve, shakes, sundaes, smoothies, and novelty treats. Maybe on the pricier side, but not too bad. You can't beat the location. It's right on a bike path near the Buffalo Niagara Heritage Center. They have indoor seating, a covered patio, and additional tables with umbrellas on the lawn. Lots of bike racks, too.
Great destination, especially in the nicer weather. This place has prime location right on the Erie Canal path through Pendleton. Bring your bike, roller blades, or just your walking feet, this spot is perfect for lunch, a walk, and then back for ice cream! On this location we had already had lunch right before we started our geocaching trek down the path, but when we walked by we had to get some ice cream. We shared the banana custard. It was good, kind of an artificial banana flavor, almost like laffy taffy. I was really impressed by their selection and prices. Going out for ice cream can get pricey, but all of their items seemed really reasonable. They had a wide variety of hard ice cream, custard, dole whip, sundaes, and much more. Great little spot for lunch, dinner, an afternoon snack, make a plan for a afternoon trip out to this awesome little spot, you will not regret it!
This cute ice cream spot was recommended to me by a friend and it did not disappoint! She suggested a "decadent sundae" and there were multiple options to choose from that all looked delicious. We opted for a biscoff sundae and the Pendleton, which is a classic peanut butter and chocolate combination. Biscoff is my husband's favorite and I don't think I've ever seen warm cookie butter as an ice cream topping before, he absolutely loved it. Service was quick and friendly even though they were relatively busy for a weeknight. There are plenty of tables to choose from either on the porch area or in the large lawn out front. Uncle G's is right off the bike path and would be a great spot to take a break and get a treat during a long ride. read more

This is a great ice cream shop. I met some friends near here for a group run and we decided to go here afterwards. I got a small grasshopper pie cone. (Their small is two HUGE scoops!!!) I got a sausage patty with peppers and onions to go. It was a good sized patty and it was pretty good. The customer service is excellent too. The parking is a little lacking. (We had parked across the street at the small church for the group run.) I'd like to come back to try their volcano sundae!!! read more
Great spot. Very large menu with lots of ice cream options. They emphasize that they will make whatever you want, so possibilities are endless. Located on Tonawanda Creek and bike path, so nice place to walk with ice cream. read more

Uncle G's is so cool! I actually found out about this place from a friend who lives right down the street (his band actually played there last year - yes, they have live music on the patio during the summer!). This place is a pleasant little ice cream stand, with all your basic flavors plus a couple of fantastic sundae creations - take their signature volcano sundae, how more unique can you get? My most recent visit was an adventure stop - they're one of the places on the map for Yelp's Ice Cream adventure, and naturally I had to make my way out here eventually to get my passport stamped! They recently came under new ownership, and I happened to speak to the woman in charge that day (she took my order actually!). We talked a little bit about the Yelp Sundae and how it was her creation; she was super nervous about me ordering it, but I have to say it was pretty delicious! Chocolate ice cream with cookie dough and chocolate chip chunks in it, plus some raspberry sauce and whipped cream - yum yum! I made sure to go back and tell her that it was so tasty! The folks here were very accommodating too - my brother was in the mood for an oreo milkshake, and they were able to make it for him. That combined with my order and my father's small pistachio cone, it all came out to being only $12. I was a little flabbergasted, that's pretty cheap for three people! The trip from the suburbs to Uncle G's is a good one to make, especially on a gorgeous, sunny day. Super, super friendly staff. Being able to carry on incredibly friendly conversation is almost always the reason I end up returning to the business at some point. I will definitely come back to try that volcano. read more
I had a super fun time here with my friends tonight. Our first time here, I passed by it over the weekend and said I needed to come check it out soon. My friend wanted ice cream so I dragged her and my husband out for some, it seemed like in the middle of no where driving down Townline and Tonawanda creek rd, but the building is huge and you can't miss it! It's under a bit of construction right now. There were about a dozen or more other people there, so you know it's a bit of a hot spot. I'd say the prices were pretty decent. I paid $6.25 for a banana split with hard ice cream (double chocolate instead of pineapple). They have an incredible variety here and some killer types of ice cream sundaes (pretty cool names!) and I love how there are quite a few tables to sit at! read more
We live close to this ice cream place. It is adjacent to the bike path along the creek/canal. Our COVID 2020 summer time routine was to take a walk and treat ourselves to an ice cream afterwards. We are continuing that routine in 2021. They have a large selection of Perry ice cream, some dairy free options and frozen custard. I got a Mexican sundae with frozen custard and my husband got a chocolate ice cream cone. We highly recommend. read more

Uncle G's is an old-fashioned, country cottage ice cream parlor located in Pendleton. The building, when lit up at dusk, looks as if it was stolen from an Edward Hopper painting. It's in a quiet and comfortable location, adding even more quaintness and charm to its outside, a pit stop for those making their way through town. Uncle G's feels like a family-owned establishment, which may explain why the counter girl was very hospitable and friendly to my friends and I. They offer a menu with a great selection of classics: milkshakes, Perry's custard cones, hearty banana split portions, and my new summer treat favorite: the trash can sundae. Served in a plastic saucer and presented like a whipped pie, this dessert was well worth the $6 and odd change I paid. They pile all of the sweetest fixings on top, and trust me, you'll want to go to town on this sugary overload once it's within grasp. There was a lot of outdoor seating, and that was nice, especially because the other smaller mom and pop places I have come across usually don't provide that many outdoor tables. My only "qualm" is that my friends and I had to sit across from a construction site; next door it looks like they are paving a driveway, and the machinery is roadside and located in front of the picnic tables. That didn't ruin my penchant for the ice cream, however, and for those who wish to keep cool in warmer weather or prefer a better view, there's the option of eating inside. Trust me, Yelpers: sometimes it's worth it to take a little drive to a new (to you) business. I admit, had it not been for Yelp's ice cream adventure in July 2017, I probably wouldn't have ever gone to Uncle G's Ice Cream, much less driven to Pendleton. But luckily, Uncle G's was my last stop on the ice cream tour and worth the quick drive. Coming from the north towns, Uncle G's is a quick drive over the county line. I went on a Sunday evening with one goal in mind: the Yelp special. I knew I'd only have time to try one more, since July was rapidly ending, and based on the pictures from other Yelpers, I decided that I needed to see what was going on in Pendleton. There's a decent amount of parking at the shop, as well as on the side street, so that wasn't an issue. So about that Yelp special... if anyone from Uncle G's is reading this, please put it into rotation on the menu! I'd happily get this one again. The sundae was like a Black Forest cookie: chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips, chocolate and raspberry sauce, and the old standbys of whipped cream and a cherry. It was supposed to have cookie dough too, but I don't think mine did. It's a compliment to the server that I didn't even notice the missing cookie dough, I thought it worked just fine without it. I don't usually go for raspberry sauce, but it complemented the ice cream nicely. Ice cream here is Perry's, so it's not extraordinary, but still good nonetheless. I was intrigued by their volcano sundae, so that may be worth another trip next season, but I'll need help to finish it! The part that I liked best about Uncle G's was the outdoor seating area (which is large) and the live music on the patio. Musicians, take note (so to speak): if you're looking for a small venue to perform at, here's one where you'll draw a large crowd. I saw people with lawn chairs and sitting on their cars, while I parked myself at a picnic table with a crossword puzzle and enjoyed the music that I couldn't see from where I was sitting, but could hear clearly. Since you're also right near Tonawanda Creek, there's a nice path for walking around, and the neighborhood is also a nice walking area if you prefer to ice cream and stroll, as I often do. While Uncle G's isn't the most convenient location, I'd go here again for the music, the customer service, the walkable neighborhood, an unofficial Yelp event, and of course, the ice cream creations! You really never know what you'll find when you go to a new town. read more
This was one of my favorite ice cream stands before I found out I was allergic to dairy. This year I was so happy to find out they have dairy feee ice-cream. I was even more excited to the point of tears watching my almost 2 year old son eating his first ice cream at a real ice cream stand. My son usually has to sit by and eat a slushy while watching my daughter enjoy her favorite soft serve. His eyes lit up this time when he was handed an ice cream of his own. Uncle G's is such a great ice cream place, they have improved it so much since they first opened. They have a beautiful covered patio with seating, as well as seating out on the grass with tables. They have TONS & TONS of ice cream flavors to choose from, multiple sundae options, as well as soft serve. I went with their new orange chocolate soft serve- highly recommend if you like orange chocolate as it was delicious! There sizes are pretty big as I got a small and it was quite big! They also have pup cups there which is a little soft serve vanilla ice cream with a mini dog bone on top- my pup ate it right up! The parking is limited so most of the time you do have to park on the side of the road- and if your going during after dinner hours prepare for a line as its a very popular place in Pendleton! read more

Ended up coming here yesterday to continue the Yelp! Ice Cream Challenge. The place has a huge outdoor area with plenty of seating (Sadly the swing was broken). The challenge consisted of chocolate ice cream with chocolate fudge, whipped cream and raspberry syrup (I'll be honest, I did not get the raspberry syrup on mine). After reading some of the other reviews it appears that they just did not put the cookie dough chunks of chocolate chips in mine which was a huge bummer. Now, I enjoyed my ice cream but it wasn't anything special. This place is a basic ice cream parlor that uses Perry's Ice Cream and offers some other options like sundaes and milkshakes. Overall, this is a good ice cream parlor for the people of Pendleton/Lockport but I can't see driving out here again to come back when having so many options in Buffalo. read more

This is my wife's favorite place to go for ice cream. Although the ice cream itself is just Perrys, there is something special about this place. They have a wide variety of options and flavors. They make milkshakes, ice cream cones, magnificent sundaes, blizzards and more! I really enjoy the ice cream sundaes, very very high quality. The cones are very reasonably priced and a decent size. I think what makes this place a little bit different is the atmosphere. It is off of the beaten path and has a nice, relaxed setting. You have a variety of seating options ranging from benches and swings to picnic tables . There's always some music playing in the background that adds to the nice mellow vibe. The lines can somewhat lengthy, but move more quickly than expected. I'm excited that they decided to accept credit cards this year. Stop by, relax and enjoy your cone! read more
