Lots of ice cream options and fast service! Definitely a cute spot to grab a bite and sit outside. read more

Friendly service, good prices and a wide selection of Perry's ice creams. They also have dogs, burgers, fries, etc, but that's not what I was there for. I ordered the flavor of the week, espresso caramel custard twist. It was a great combination that I've never seen anywhere before and it was nice and creamy. The large size was $5.25 including tax (sorry, no picture; I was excited to eat it). Though very friendly, the service was a tad slow and my custard had a little hollow section in the middle. I'm guessing they have some new employees that are still learning the ropes. I would visit again... Maybe later in the season. To note, there is an extra fee when using a credit card. They have seating under a roofed patio as well as some tables behind the building in the yard underneath some trees. read more

It's a great town vibe! The people are really friendly, the ice cream is delicious whether it's Soft or hard. And the burgers are pretty good too! I love it, And You will too!! See you there! read more

Great and the ice cream was delicious . Definitely recommend this sweet spot . Food looked good didn't get any

Been there many times. Food is generally good. Wish they had a separate ice cream window. Once you order ice cream it comes quickly. But you have to wait in the food line and it can be very very slow. I stopped tonight for ice cream, the line was so long that I left. read more

Perfect spot on a hot day! They have a lot of topping choices but I just got a simple twist with red white and blue sprinkles! The custard was great. There were a good amount of picnic tables to eat and we will be back when we are in the area! read more

Brownie's Custard Stand - A overpriced medium cone - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Wilson, New York

This was a pull-a-U-turn stop. John was just saying he wanted a nibble from a local, little spot and I pointed at the ice cream stand as we passed by and said, like that??? lol- yup, queue tired squealing as we pulled off the road! John's favorite food- ice cream. Add to it a burger and onion rings and you had a very happy man. I was surprised at how fast the order came out too. Bathrooms were clean. They have several picnic tables on their porch and more out back under trees. I loved the mural painted on the back shed and just the look screamed summer treat! Obviously a local favorite as they were very busy while we were there! Everything that came out looked good- but I would say the ice cream is where it is at. The food was what I would expect, a secondary offering- but decent. The selection of flavors is extensive- if you are indecisive, you may struggle here, lol! read more

One of the best places to get great tasting ice cream in the food is excellent also. Go there almost every weekend in the summer.

Cute local ice cream, burger and fries joint. Friendly service and tasty ice cream with a wide selection of flavors. Their ice cream floats are to die for. I did not have a chance to try the food but the menu looked typical and seemed well priced. Only drawbacks to this spot are that the you have to eat outside (no indoor dining) and, as others have stated, they only take cash and you have to go to an ATM reportedly down the road. Worth a quick stop on a hot day. read more

Brownie's Custard Stand - View from the parking lot. - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Wilson, New York

Very beautiful spot to stop by near the Wilson Pier. I love getting ice cream here as they give you a lot every single time! Pricing is great as well when you take into account the amount you get. Service is always good as they keep the line pushing. Definitely a great spot if you are ever in the area. The only con is they close earlier in the season which is a bummer because I love eating ice cream all seasons. read more

food was fine, but finding my credit card receipt "adjusted" when I reviewed my credit card statement was not...watch out people! use cash

Living in Wilson for 20 years we really enjoyed this place no matter what do you want it was it was fantastic. They have something local. I hope it's still there when we get back next month. read more

We visited Brownie's twice during our vacation to Western NY. The only negative I can give about Brownie's is that they do not take cards only cash. They serve Perry's Ice Cream and it is delicious. We all ordered different flavors and all were great. The staff is courteous and fast. I ordered the two scoop waffle come with banana cream pie ice cream. My wife got a two scoop cone and the kids chose different sundaes. Everything was awesome. We went back a couple nights later and had the same great service, friendly staff and tasty ice cream. read more

My husband noticed they were open yesterday, but it was cash only (wah.) We came back tonight, and I'm glad we did. Like most places around here, their ice cream is Perry's. The prices range from $2 for baby (a normal sized single scoop) to $3.05 for a large. You can also get any flavor as a shake for under $4. "Deep Sea Treasure" immediately caught my eye, and sure enough it was a salted caramel ice cream with big chunks of caramel filled chocolates. We haven't tried the food yet but they have a diverse menu, including chicken tenders which gives them a slight edge over Reid's in Lockport. The prices are higher than Reid's, but comparable if not cheaper than fast food chains. As an example, you can get a black Angus burger for $3.75 and a steak sub for $7. They are located near Lake Ontario and have a few benches outside. read more

What a rip off. We paid $30 for the both of us. We each got a cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger was a 2 oz. Burger and fries tasted like you cooked them at home. Ice cream was expensive. Very disappointed. Not worth the ride Won't be going back. read more

(This experience is from 2021) Good place for a fast bite or an ice cream. Took my cousin there while I was in town (he loves the place) and when I got to the window to order was met with a sign that said "No Card, Cash Only". Told my cousin that I only had my card so we had to backtrack to the local gas station for the atm and get cash. I would say maybe either get to the current times and accept cards or have an atm on site for those who walk over. Also, Yelp has this place as "quiet" but it was pretty much the opposit. Loud kids, adults chatting and laughing loudly, a whole school bus of some sort of sports team pulling up and adding to the chaos. I don't mind chatting but would be nice to consider others and talk at a lower volume. read more

We were visiting on vacation, and literally went everyday for soft serve ice cream! Honest to goodness the best soft serve we have ever had!!!!! Staff was great and we weren't bothered by no card, it's their place so they can run it as they please! Highly recommend:) read more

very friendly place, nice outdoor seating, good selection. Only one downer for me. I ordered a brownie sundae which was adbuntant and delicious, but the girl cutting my brownie was cutting it with her bare hands on a stainless steel countertop then placed it in my bowl. Fast, friendly service. We had a peanut butter explosion sundae and apple pie sundae. Both were delicious. And the portions were huge. Definitely recommend them for sweet treats. read more

Ridiculous amounts of ice cream overflowing in ridiculously flimsy & small dishes that are handed to you already dripping over the sides. If thats suppose to feel like your monies worth, they need a new gig. Get a cone or pick a better place for ice cream. When you ask them to correct it they plop the overflowing, drippy mess left in the small flimsy container onto another minutely slightly larger flimsy container & hand it back to you. Two times Brownies, two seasons, you don't deserve my money for a third strike. read more

Friend came for a burger and then we both had ice cream. They had a good size food menu with more than just burgers and fries. Great service and the prices were fair. Huge variety of (Perry's) ice cream options and we each had two different scoop flavors. Never would have thought of that if it weren't for the really friendly, super cool owner who made the recommendation. Good size seating area with both outside and inside options. Big parking lot that could accommodate your team visit after a game. read more

Stopped for an old-fashioned lunch on the way back from Niagara falls. I was impressed at the food selection - turkey burgers and sweet potato fries included. I was also impressed by the number of ice cream flavors. The staff was friendly and the service was very fast. I'm not a fan of Brownies (the chocolate thingies), but I am a big fan of Brownies (the ice cream place!). This place gets an extra star for the beautiful locale, otherwise it'd be a 4. This is located way out in a little town named after Dr. House's friend. This place is so sweet and cute! I think it's only open during warmer months, of which there aren't too many in WNY, I've now tried the burger and the ice cream and both were really good, not the best in the world but definitely the best in Wilson if that's worth anything, and well worth a visit. Plus it's family owned and adorable and has the most beautiful back garden area with squirrels and seating and what not. Adorable. Annnnnyway! The soft serve/frozen yogurt/vanilla is good, really good, and it kept me coming back to this place three or four times when I was there last summer. Also, being situated right near the shore of Lake Ontario means that it's in a gorgeous location, and well worth a trip out there for that alone, and to be able to see the skyline of Toronto across the water. Additionally, you won't see that many cute little towns on the shores of a beautiful great lake, which are as undeveloped and un-touristy as Wilson, which is refreshing. Olcott, just East along the lake, is also very gorgeous, although slightly more touristy. I should mention, I only rate national and global chains on a scale of 1-2. I rate family businesses on a scale of 3-5. Here is why: Would you rather support the local family ice cream shop, or the multi national corporations and the rich men on yachts in the Carribbean? Why are the parking lots of the awesome local places usually half empty (or completely empty)? Why are the national and international ice cream chains always so busy? Why can they afford to open so late and get all the TV advertising and all the prime intersection locations? Why are they taking over all the malls and college campuses? Why go and support Cold Stone, Baskin Robbins, and so on? These places have systematically and coldly taken over the national ice cream scene by using cheap ingredients, pre-packaged frozen systematic snacks that are identical across the nation, overrated products, overpricing for everything, often rude underpaid servers, and a ridiculously expensive mass brand advertising campaign that gets inside the heads of all the kids and the 20somethings and keeps them under the illusion that if it's not a brand name, it's not worth visiting. They spend all the money they should be investing in good ice cream and food and service, in advertising and cornering the market - the local places can't compete - and someday all we will be left with is the same chains serving the same drinks all over the world. That is our future. It's the way we're heading and you know it. Every time you eat at a bland national chain, you buy into that, you support that. Boycott chains. Support your local places. It's an embarrassment that generic brand national chains are even listed on a proper foodie website like Yelp, let alone getting 4 and 5 stars from so called foodies. Wake up, America, before we're all just batteries in the matrix. read more

I purchased a bacon cheeseburger, onion rings and thick chocolate shake. The onion rings were great. The shake was no thicker than any other shake I've ever had so I'm not sure what I was paying more for... Not the first time we have visited Brownie's and certainly not the last. We go there as soon as the weather gets warm and have never been sorry we took the ride. Their turkey burgers are awesome! They are juicy and thick and that's why they take 10 minutes to prepare but well worth the wait. I always get lettuce, tomato and a little mayo and they are very tasty. Brian (BF) always has italian sausage w/peppers & onion and has enjoyed it everytime. We always get onion rings & fries and share those. Employees have always been nice and patient when you sometimes just can't make up your mind! All in all a nice ride (long) but well worth the trip!! read more

Been here enough times that I fell like I can give a solid review on the ice cream here. The ice cream is Perry's Ice Cream and it's good I would give it a 5 out of 5 mostly because of the variety of flavors. The one thing that drives me nuts about this place is that it is 100% employed by 16-19 year old kids all of which couldn't care less about being there. Again I have been here many times and not once have I gotten a hello, thank you, have a good day, enjoy or anything other next and $5.50. Ice cream places are no place fore being rude. read more
