Never been before so wanted to try it. Right on Clifton Hill in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Great little snack. We ordered the Churro Bites. Vanilla ice cream, crispy churros and cinnamon sugar all together in one happy combination. The price is right for 4 of us to share one, that's how big they are. Neat little place, tons of customers. Worth a try. Overall a 8 out of 10.
I kept reading the hype about Sweet Jesus so on my last visit through Niagara Falls, the hubby and I decided to stop and get a sweet treat. Our consensus was that this place is definitely over-hyped. Neither of us was a fan of the ice cream here, and it's one of our favorite desserts. It has a weird consistency that doesn't even taste all that creamy, and the plain vanilla has zero flavor. The ice cream had a very light and fluffy texture that was unappealing, sort of like Cool Whip versus real whipped cream. I prefer my ice cream very thick and creamy. The flavor comes from the toppings, which were also a little bit boring. There are lots of weird sounding flavor combinations that they call "cone builds" that have sauces and toppings that are over the top, but we opted for a cone with cookie crumbs and cookie dough for me, and Oreo for him. The cookie crumbs were very stale and the cookie dough just tasted like regular old cookie dough topping, nothing special. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also thought the ice cream shop was very dirty. It didn't seem very clean or sanitary and if that sort of thing bothers you'd I'd recommend skipping this place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The toppings were falling all over the counter, which was an absolutely gross mess, and our cones were given to us already dripping and sticky (yuck).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The prices are high but then again, that's to be expected since this location is right on the main tourist drag in Niagara Falls. It's right at the end of the street by the falls, so you can walk over and eat your ice cream and look at the water. We paid like $22 CAD for two mediocre ice cream cones. This is a one and done place for me for sure.

It was way too liquid-y, the cake bits had an odd texture, and the overall flavour was just bland. Normally Sweet Jesus is known for bold, indulgent treats, but this one fell flat. Also the cardboard straws are TERRIBLE. Broke a couple just trying to get them through the plastic lid. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location didn't help either--Clifton Hill has gotten way more crowded than it used to be, and this spot became chaotic pretty fast.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Might've just been an off visit, but based on this experience, we'd probably stick to the mall locations next time.
We stopped here about 15 mins before fireworks on a Saturday night and it was a madhouse! We were told the wait was 15-20 mins. Just when they were ready to make ours they informed me that they ran out of coconut which was the base for my Bounty Killah cone. There is not indoor dining you order at a window and then walk down into shop to pick up.
Beautiful presentation. Plenty of toppings and definitely a special treat. Kind of a weird ice cream under all the toppings. I had vanilla under my sundae, not much flavor. A weird kind of foamy texture. For two regular sundaes I spent $22. Definitely instagram worthy photo, but not the best flavored ice cream that I've ever had.

Yelp showed it was closed but they are inside the store. The cones were good and the ice cream was creamy. Saw this place on yelp and was close by and stopped after dinner.
Stopping here for ice cream on a warm spring afternoon was such a good idea. In addition to 'pimped out' soft serve ice cream there's pints, milkshakes and hot messes/ice cream poutine. Ordering is done at the window on the sidewalk. The staff makes a note of your name and you head inside to wait for your order. I ordered a small Rocky Road Rage. This was chocolate soft serve covered in marshmallows, chocolate sauce, walnut and cashew pieces and Oreo cookie crumble. I was pretty happy with my choice but looking at the menu all the other flavours would've been good as well. This was not cheap but it was worth it as a treat.
I got the Hella Hazelnut ice cream. It was super delicious. It is a soft serve ice cream and then dipped in pistachio, hazelnut mix. It was not overly sweet. I have to say it was just perfect. I got it on a regular cone. Just the ice cream by itself on a regular cone came to $11.57 after tax. This is quite expensive for just a soft serve ice cream. This location is located in Niagara fall. So expect to pay the Niagara tourist fee on top and for me that was an extra $0.75. Note that this fee is not overseen by an charity or authority. It is not a government tax but it is a fee that the local have decided to charge tourist just for being in Niagara Falls. It was a cold day in Niagara Falls but seeing this little ice cream spot was too good to pass so we gave it a go. First off, the staff were really kind especially with me asking to switch an ingredient as they toppings were pre made. My mom got the rocky road which they placed the marshmallows on one by one. The small size was actually plenty and felt like it was a bigger size than a small. My sister got the twisted soft serve on a cone, I got the one with the hazelnut. The chocolate ice cream was not too sweet which made it very easy to eat. I love that I could get it in a cup so that it was not melting on my hand. My sis got the coke and they had a plastic holder for the coke that would catch any ice cream that melted which I thought was genius as I've never seen one like that before. It was priced than normal but worth it for sure!
Unique , creamy , delicious soft serve. Our group of tweens loved the crusty the cone ( ice cream with sprinkles surrounded by cotton candy ). Pretty amazing - if you are going to splurge for one decadent dessert in Niagara Falls I recommend it be this one. Awesome.

I can't stop thinking about my soft serve from Sweet Jesus. The name definitely drew us in, but the menu was super intriguing. The cotton candy caught my eye but we ultimately decided on the Red Rapture! After you order from the window outside, you make your way indoors for your dessert. The Red Rapture was so delicious! The cream cheese frosting made it so decadent and creamy. We ended up splitting this between two people and asked for a cup to make it a little easier to eat on the go. Our soft serve was beautifully crafted, service was friendly and fast, and the soft serve was so good! It's a shame this is in Canada but it was easy enough to walk to from the Falls. Highly recommend! And you can even shop around for some souvenirs while you wait for your order! It's a win win! read more

This ice cream spot is in a great location and gets a ton of tourist traffic. They definitely know they are in a tourist spot because the prices were expensive for nothing that special. Overall pretty plain flavors and they don't do any mix-ins. Just toppings so once you are done with toppings you're just eating a big plain vanilla ice cream essentially. They worked through the line fairly fast. The girl at the register taking orders was extremely unpleasant and rude. The workers serving the ice cream inside were a lot nicer though they didn't really seem to understand how to make some of the orders. It was weird. I'm glad we got to try it but I recommend going somewhere else for a sweet treat. read more

Of course, the name of this place caught my attention first! Was in Niagara Falls - Canadian side - to celebrate my husband's July 4th birthday. We were out and about in the Clifton Hills area and spotted this establishment. It was quite warm out and the notion of ice cream just hit the spot. The ice cream is soft serve and there were various toppings from which to choose. My ice cream included caramel drizzle and churros. Though the ice cream hit the spot, I could not stomach the churros, which seemed to have been warmed in a microwave and were basically luke-warm; not appetizing at all. Waste of money from that aspect, but I did at least enjoy the vanilla ice cream and caramel. Plus, the person who served the ice cream was very nice and in the environment in which we live now, just being nice to others is like a breath of fresh air. read more

This would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that my boyfriend didn't finish his from the night before and it didn't melt at all. It makes me wonder what is in that causes it to not melt. It still felt cold but looked the exact same as when we went to bed. read more

Visiting from Texas and kind of regret trying this place because this is some of the best ice cream I have ever had! It's probably one of the only good things in this awful tourist strip. If we ever come back, I hope this place is still here! read more

I think the ice creams and the toppings are amazing, but the cone or cup just has too much plain ice cream that I have to end up buying extra toppings on the side so it doesn't go to waste, but other than that I think this ice cream is top tier amaz-balls. The service was great the workers were very energetic. It's a nice place not that many people in line you can a turn fairly quick. read more
On vacation in Niagara Falls, we stumbled upon the most picturesque ice cream we'd ever seen. We decided to try it the first night and came back two more times. We tried the birthday cake cone, the red rapture cone, and the crème brûlée pint. The birthday cake was the favorite, it had great texture and the flavors blended well. The red rapture was fairly tart and didn't hit quite as hard as the others. The heart of these cones was the plain vanilla yogurt which was the most delicious vanilla froyo we've ever had. Our last night we got a pint of what they had on hand because we came at the end of the night and the machines were cleaned. The staff graciously checked us out despite being practically closed up. The crème brûlée was very good but it did not taste like crème brûlée. It had pecans and a caramel core. Did not disappoint. This is a must try! read more

This is ice cream place had a genius idea from a business perspective. Take soft serve ice cream, put a ton of toppings on top, and charge an arm and a leg for it. I got a kids size and that thing was almost $10!! Order in the window/counter outside. They have lots of fun toppings and flavors to choose from. Once you pay, go inside and get the goods. All that being said, we got several different flavors and toppings and I had a bite of each and they were all pretty yummy! I am a sucker for chocolate soft serve, so I got the "cookies cookies cookies & cream" with chocolate ice cream. My favorite was the "bangin brownie" it was super chocolatey. They do give you a generous amount of ice cream and toppings. I wouldn't definitely not be opposed to coming back bc everything was really good, but their prices are outrageous for soft serve ice cream!! read more

Passed by this place while strolling around and the bright sign and fancy flavors caught my eye. I got the birthday cake and it was solid, but I wish they had put more syrup in it. The birthday cake pieces made the ice cream fun, but overall it was a pretty standard (but good) ice cream cone. read more

Yummmmmm! I consider myself a soft serve connoisseur. I can't stand when soft serve has a grit to it. This soft serve is great! Smooth and creamy. For the toppings, they are not mixed in so you can get a good combination of topping to ice cream. I got the red rapture which is like a red velvet cake with raspberry. Really good. The rest of the family got birthday cake (which has a lit candle on top) and rocky road. All of them were really good. Make sure you look for their specials. It wasn't until after I paid that I saw a flyer at the next register with a cheesecake special. Last, there are two sizes; regular and kid. The kid size was perfect for us. Not really small. Regular could definitely be shared from what I saw. read more

I skipped the traditional cake for my birthday this year and opted for their iconic Birthday Cake Waffle Cone This is their small size-- which can easily be shared by 2 or 3 people The service was good as well by the couple of kids working there. One of the girls waited until we finished getting some shots for the gram to hand us our third cone . Very good vegan soft serve (coconut milk base, chocolate sauce, crushed Oreos). I rarely get the chance to have vegan soft serve so was very happy to see this but wish they offered more vegan options. read more
I wanted to go here every day!!! Omg good! And the guy who was working was fascinating to watch I wish I got his name to tell his boss! It was busy and he was alone and his patience and focus and made every cone perfect! He wasn't frazzled at all. He could work in a 5 star kitchen! Go here if you are in the area. Stopped here after a long day in Clifton hills doing a bunch of different attractions! Don't even bother going to any other ice cream place, come straight to Sweet Jesus! A cute little ice cream shop with an amazing selection of ingenious creations! We went simple and got the cookies and cream cone and it was amazing! This was the small size, so you can already imagine how big the regular size is! It was the perfect sweet treat to beat the heat! read more

Sweet Jesus offers incredible soft serve ice cream topped with the most delicious toppings ever. It is a must stop for anyone in Niagara Falls!! We tried the Birthday Cake and the Oh Hangry and they were both out of this world!! The birthday cake was covered in cream cheese icing and actual cake bits. The Oh Hangry tasted exactly like an Oh Henry chocolate bar with the added bonus of ice cream in the middle :) The only downside to this ice cream shop is that it is EXPENSIVE!! Expect to pay around $20 for two ice cream cones. read more

Sweet Jesus! Praise the Lord and pass the ice cream! Delicious Soft serve ice cream in a cup or cone. It may be a little pricey but it's well worth it. We had a rocky road rage and cookies and cream. I have to admit the ice cream was velvety smooth but you have to eat it fast. It was very warm that afternoon and the ice cream was dripping everywhere. They accepted American and Canadian currency at the counter. After you placed your order and gave your name, go downstairs with your receipt and watch them assemble your frozen treat. The girls worked fast and deserve alot of credit for literally working non stop. So remember to give this place a try whenever you're visiting from out of town. The ice cream is well worth the wait. Now can I get an AMEN!! read more
