Great ice cream with lots of flavor options. Just off theaun strip. Reasonably priced.

Generous portions and good prices. Came back twice in one day! I wish you could sample the flavors, but you can't go wrong with any pick. Nice staff and very few free parking in the back.

I've be coming here for about 9 years when I first discovered it. It was a freezing February weekend and there was a 2-for-1 Coupon in our Hotel Room. The owner had just finished catering a wedding so he had stocked the Gelato Freezer Displaywith one of the flavors he made for the wedding. Goat Cheese and Honey. He had me at "Goat Cheese and Honey". It was heaven in an ice cream bowl. So delicate and decadent. We frequent this place often. My friends enjoy their Afogatto normally choosing a dark chocolate gelato. You can just chill with a steaming hot espresso and a liqueur on a super cold day when you're out exploring. Or you can order a quick sandwich to eat in or take out. To date I've enjoyed each and every flavor of Gelato I've experimented with. The Lemon Ice and Pistachio being my favorites. Today I tried their Taramisu for the first time. It has all the classic flavors the cake would have including the lady finger biscuits. #HighlyRecommend.

Amazing gelato! So glad I found this gem during my vacation at Niagara Falls. The gelato here is creamy, flavourful, and not too sweet. They have some unique flavours which include nougat, cannoli, ginger yogurt with peach or chocolate ice which is a dark chocolate without any dairy. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. The large cup comes with 4 full scoops which allows you to try many flavours.

This cafe looks very unsuspecting from the outside, but it was outstanding! It's a less than 10 minute walk from Clifton Hill and better than most ice cream you could buy there. The employee at the counter was so kind and let us sample multiple flavors. We were originally going to order a small, but decided on a medium (3 flavors) because everything looked so tasty... I ordered Stracciatella, Raspberry Cheesecake, and Chocolate Caramel Brownie. All were flavorful, creamy, and delicious. I can not recommend this place enough- I will definitely return whenever in the area.

Found this gem really close by to our Airbnb. If it's close to you, I highly recommend coming here for a refreshing treat. Everything is decently priced, considering that it is still very close to the tourist area. I made 2 trips here during my 4 day trip to Niagara Falls. The first time I ordered the Mango and Lemon. The gelato was smooth and refreshing which is just what I was looking for. My friends also ordered the hazelnut gelato which tastes really similar to ferrero rocher. If you like chocolate-y or love nutella, I highly recommend this one. On my second trip here, I ordered the take-home 500mL box which costs only $7!!! This was a freaking steal considering how much gelato they give you. I highly recommend this box if you would like to share with 2 - 4 people. You can get a variety of flavours to try and they fill the box to the brim. I was really happy with all the flavours I tried, but one of my favourites was definitely the strawberry gelato. No artificial food colouring or any of that sort, just really good strawberry gelato. My friend also had the espresso with ice cream which he fell in love with. He kept thinking about how good it was when we left and pretty much raved about it. Overall, if you're looking for a sweet treat or dessert in the area, come here.

Such a mundane name for such a cool place, pun intended. Yes they have gelato aka "Italian Ice Cream". With a variety of flavors I will always judge a place by whether or not they have my 2 favorite flavors or not if they want to call themselves gelato slingers. If they are missing one of my flavors they will fail plain and simple. Italian Ice Cream however had both of my flavors so they passed with flying colors, just like their gelato's rainbow and shades of glorious tastiness. Oh my favs are hazelnut (nocciola) and lemon together. One is sweet and creamy and the other clears the palate. Yummy! This place is also licensed so if you want a beer to go with that gelato, sure... and they have other food like paninis etc so yes they are not just an ice cream shop. This place has been here a long time and for a frozen treat in a tourist area it's not that expensive that being it's under 5 bucks for a large. The sizes are 1, 2, 3, or 4 scoops. In ordering terms that's baby, small, medium and large. They offer take home sizes (trays) too. They also seem to have more tables outside than they do inside.

Come to Niagara Falls for a weekend to celebrate our son's 15th Birthday. We stayed at the Crowne Plaza which was in the center of everything but we decided to go for a walk and check our the restaurants around the area to get away from all the crowds and line ups. We finished our meal and my wife said let's look for some Italian ice cream. So we looked on Yelp and there it was. As we walked out the restaurant it was across the street. The Italian ice Cream cafe, ice cream parlor. We walked in and we found our favorite place in the whole of Niagara Falls. This establishment makes all their own Italian ice creams. So many to choose from there ice flavors to old school Italian style. The espresso bar and shots you can have are amazing. It took us back to when we were kids. It was the highest quality you could ever ask for. Forget all the ice cream on Clinton Hill. Go for a nice walk for 5 minutes up the street and you will never regret it. The establishment was clean, people who served us were happy and wanting to make us happy. Quality of everything it top notch! I know it's just Italian ice cream and espresso, but I would and will drive from home 2 1/2 hrs just to come here for a night to enjoy good desert and espresso with my wife, friends and family. If anything forget all the commercialized crap and get back to basics! They even had a older Italian gentleman playing music. I would give the Italian Ice Cream shop 6 out of 5 hands down, all day long!

I love the cute dishes and spoons the gelato is served with.

We stopped in here since it wasn't too far of a walk from our B&B and our host recommended it. It's a nice little shop with a cozy outdoor patio as well as a few indoor tables. I had a medium size and got strawberry, vanilla and chocolate brownie. It was delicious! I love gelato and this was some good stuff. I definitely recommend going here for some deliciousness! The girls working were very nice also.

We crossed the border around 6pm cause the kids wanted to the falls at night am so happy did we got to the fire works. After that kids wanted dissent so went on yelp and found this place so we drive there and the place was amazing kids had some homemade chocolate gelato and some mint gelato to cooldown with. The adults had some affogatto with peach, hazelnut, cookies and cream and some pistachio. They also sale alcohol like local beer. Did I mention they have WiFi.The ladies that were working the counter were very friendly and top notch customer service!!!Parking is at the back. Highly recommended!!

Early afternoon not long before they closed to break and then begin dinner service prep. We were the last brunch patrons of the day. Only critique might be on their ventilation system. It was a bit smoky in the dining area. Most likely coming from the kitchen. No burnt smell, just a bit of haze. Atmosphere was quiet (of course. There were only a few tables eating at that time) and cozy. Decor is very Parisienne. My wife has been to Paris and she recalled cafés just like this one. Stacy was our server. She was very nice and very friendly. Exceptionally knowledgeable about the dishes and the story of the café. There was a sense of pride when she spoke of the café that did not go unnoticed. Food was delivered in good time. What was supposed to be hot was hot & cold, cold. We had: Thalassa (Galette) La Baraka (Crepe) La Complete (Galette) Cappuccino (2) Beer (local, Sleeman Original Lager) Bread with Butter & Strawberry Jam Suffice to say that EVERYTHING was delicious. That's, actually, an understatement. One bite of his La Complete and my brother in law said, "Dude, you gotta taste this!! And he was right..amazing." My dish was the Thalassa, because I adore smoked salmon. It was fresh, bright and it was my first time having caviar. I thought that I would love it and I did. Then, my wife's dish, the sweet La Baraka. O M G! Nothing like it. Sweet but not too sweet and come to find out from Stacy that all the components are made from scratch. The salted butter caramel & the Chantilly. Idk how it's made but I'm going to learn how to make that Chantilly. Soooo good! Also, the Cappuccino here is outstanding. My wife made the mistake of letting me try some. She had to order another! Delectable. The bread, of course, is House-made, as you'd expect. This was the kind of experience I look for, especially, when I travel. I would love to eat here again before we leave in a few days. We'll see.... There are many more experiences to have. MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMEND. 5/5

Our consensus was that this place is definitely over-hyped. Neither of us was a fan of the ice cream here, and it's one of our favorite desserts. It has a weird consistency that doesn't even taste all that creamy, and the plain vanilla has zero flavor. The ice cream had a very light and fluffy texture that was unappealing, sort of like Cool Whip versus real whipped cream. I prefer my ice cream very thick and creamy. The flavor comes from the toppings, which were also a little bit boring. There are lots of weird sounding flavor combinations that they call "cone builds" that have sauces and toppings that are over the top, but we opted for a cone with cookie crumbs and cookie dough for me, and Oreo for him. The cookie crumbs were very stale and the cookie dough just tasted like regular old cookie dough topping, nothing special. I also thought the ice cream shop was very dirty. It didn't seem very clean or sanitary and if that sort of thing bothers you'd I'd recommend skipping this place. The toppings were falling all over the counter, which was an absolutely gross mess, and our cones were given to us already dripping and sticky (yuck). The prices are high but then again, that's to be expected since this location is right on the main tourist drag in Niagara Falls. It's right at the end of the street by the falls, so you can walk over and eat your ice cream and look at the water. We paid like $22 CAD for two mediocre ice cream cones. This is a one and done place for me for sure.

A Bit of a Letdown This Time Around…read more We've had Sweet Jesus before--mostly at mall locations--and we've usually really enjoyed it. But this time around on Clifton Hill, it just didn't wow us. We went with milkshakes: I got the Birthday Cake, and my wife got the Mango. Hers was okay, but my Birthday Cake shake was super underwhelming. It was way too liquid-y, the cake bits had an odd texture, and the overall flavour was just bland. Normally Sweet Jesus is known for bold, indulgent treats, but this one fell flat. Also the cardboard straws are TERRIBLE. Broke a couple just trying to get them through the plastic lid. The location didn't help either--Clifton Hill has gotten way more crowded than it used to be, and this spot became chaotic pretty fast. Might've just been an off visit, but based on this experience, we'd probably stick to the mall locations next time.
