I ordered the flavor of the week, espresso caramel custard twist. It was a great combination that I've never seen anywhere before and it was nice and creamy. The large size was $5.25 including tax (sorry, no picture; I was excited to eat it). Though very friendly, the service was a tad slow and my custard had a little hollow section in the middle. I'm guessing they have some new employees that are still learning the ropes. I would visit again... Maybe later in the season. To note, there is an extra fee when using a credit card. They have seating under a roofed patio as well as some tables behind the building in the yard underneath some trees.

More recently they have also been bringing in flavors from other vendors such as Ashby's. They are also open year round for when you need your ice cream fix in the middle of winter! I have been to Hanna's dozens and dozens at times since I was little. My dad used to take us all…read morethere for lemon ice. But as an adult, I haven't been there very many times. I went there tonight because I saw a picture that somebody posted of a banana ship Sunday and it looked so amazing. I just had to go there and get one for myself. The only problem with that was, my banana ship was so much smaller than the ones in the pictures. Obviously different crews working, they make things differently and the girl tonight just made mine so small. It was really kind of ridiculous and it was $10.00. If you look at the pictures from Hanna's of the banana ships and you look at my picture compared to the other ones, you will notice a big difference. I got completely ripped off. The employee was very nice though she was young cute and just a nice girl. As far as Parking goes now, that's kind of tough. It's a very small parking lot. I think maybe 10 cars could fit in there ,either 8 or 10. I'm not sure. And you have to really watch out cause kids are all over the place and you don't know if there's gonna be one running through the parking lot or not so you just have to really watch out for everybody there. It was very, very busy tonight and understandably, it's a beautiful night and perfect for ice cream. But the line unfortunately goes out towards the street and the main street there is Colvin so that's kind of dangerous for a little kids to be around waiting in line because you know kids can't stand still. They don't have a huge selection of ice cream or sundaes or things, but but they do have does sound good but like I said, it's not very much. Next time I go, I'm going to get probably lemon ice like I used to when I was little or another banana ship and hopefully they make it bigger. What they did make, though it was delicious.

On my first visit, I went on a mission to have the stuffed Dubai cone; I messaged them about how I had dreamed of this cone and they made my dream a reality, so obviously I HAD to have it! It was so good! Chocolate soft serve ice cream stuffed with pistachio cream, rolled in pistachio and kataifi, then dipped and rolled again for an extra crunch! On my second visit, I had a harder time choosing. In addition to Perry's ice cream, they also have Ashby's and Pierre's. So many flavors that sounded delicious that I hadn't tried and they offer a flight. But, then, I saw a sign for their newest stuffed cone, sponge candy and that got me. I got it with salted caramel soft serve instead of vanilla and it was stuffed with caramel, then adorned with big sponge candy pieces and dipped in chocolate. Next time I visit, and there will be a next time (even though I live about 40 minutes away), I am planning on a flight. Gotta try those Pierre's and Ashby's flavors that are hard to find in a Perry's dominate area. Both times I visited, it was very nice out and I was able to take advantage of their outdoor seating.

Now that that's out of the way, it is a cute, clean ice cream shop that also carries camping staples such as milk & eggs as Golden Hill State Park is nearby. The worker, and possibly owner, was very friendly and efficient. They offer about 16 different hard ice cream flavors and chocolate/vanilla soft serve. It looked like they had a build your own soft serve sundae station, but I didn't see any signage about how that might work. They also offer slushies, floats, blizzards, milkshakes & sundaes. I ordered a Mexican sundae made with nuthouse ice cream in a waffle bowl. It came to less than $6. Their prices are very reasonable. There is no seating inside, but there are picnic tables and some benches on their covered patio. Their parking lot is nicely paved. I think they close for the season in about a week, so hurry up & visit or you'll to wait until next year

The stand is surrounded by several parking spots, which will fill up on a warm evening. The staff working are young and courteous. Double Dips accepts cash and credit cards. I don't make it over to Double Dips often as I live in Buffalo, but when I do, I get a large Cyclone made with vanilla custard, Butterfinger (or Oreo), and cheesecake pieces. The cup is large but the last few times I've ordered this, I've noticed they don't fill the cup all the way, which is a bit of a bummer. Plus, the distribution of mix-ins isn't the most even - Last time all the cheesecake pieces were at the top while all the Butterfinger was at the bottom. Prices are a little higher but in 2026, everything is priced higher and they are THE ice cream spot in Medina. Double Dips posts frequently on Facebook about their weekly special custard and non-dairy custard flavors as well as other ice cream novelty specials. All-in-all, Double Dips remains a solid ice cream stand in small town Medina.

Soft ice cream, peanut butter sauce, and butterfingers. Yum! I opted for no cool whip, peanuts, or cherry, I'm weird I know, but that's why you don't notice any of those in the pictures. My husband got the key lime custard and was very satisfied. Great place to stop if you're hankering for some ice cream. Stop by and try one of their many treats!
