We took home some chocolate covered Oreos and salt water taffy, which were all delicious. Our daughter got this gigantic ice cream cone and ate every last crumb. Not pictured are the cappuccino that I got (so good!) and the loganberry soda that my partner and I shared. I'd never had a loganberry soda and it was SO good. These old fashioned candy and ice cream shops seem increasingly rare these days and there's something quite special about them. They make their own ice cream, sauces and toppings, and the chocolate/fudge in the candy cases. We had a blast and will certainly return.

The sauces are all homemade and in my opinion, they're really the star of the show. If you want to go all out you can get the "king's portion" double scoop sundae, but I appreciate that they also serve single scoop "queen's portions" for a slightly lower cost. The staff are always friendly and efficient, willing to make modifications so that you can craft the ice cream of your dreams. Worth noting is the very silly water station near the front door. Condrell's has always served tiny glasses of water, which is now offered in Dixie cups that you fill yourself. If you're trying to stay super hydrated these baby sized cups aren't going to meet your needs, but I have come to expect them and think they add to the charm of the venue.

I can see why my partner is always singing the praises of this sandwich, and why it is a mainstay of the Buffalo area, For dessert, both times my partner had the frozen custard. The first time, I had the canoli ice cream. Delicious! It actually had pieces of canoli in it. The second time, I had the custard, and it was creamy and delicious.
