Great experience with everyone at Ultimate Hobbies. I went in because my Traxxas car wasn't running anymore and it had a burning smell coming from the motor. Hank and Jonathon quickly diagnosed the problem, had all the replacement parts and had my car back up and running in no time. They took the time to explain the issues, why it may have happened and how to mitigate/eliminate an future issues. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! Went in to try and get some receiver batteries. One persons was looking in the case and the other guy said he would check the back. The other guy came out of the back with I assume the manager or owner and said "we don't have any. Maybe they'll come in in a few days." Before I could ask if they had anything that might work the guy that was looking in the case just walked away and started talking to the other guy and left me standing there. I'll go to another shop or just order them online. I guess they make enough money that selling a few battery packs is below them. read more

I took my 5 year old son to the store to purchase his first RC car. Several employees were available and none asked if we needed assistance. We still ended up purchasing a small RC car. The car was having charging problems (after only 1 week) and I called the store back to get some help. The owner, I can only guess because he said " this is my store" stated that he would not take a refund and would not exchange the item. His customer service was very poor. This is definitely the best store for your RC needs. No one locally can beat the customer service, professionalism, availability of parts, knowledge of the products. They will attend on your needs, they do not lie, they will not overcharge you for repairs. I am new to this business, my son and myself tried other stores. We had a terrible experience with a store in Huntington Beach. I hope you will not go there! I still consider my bad experience with that store as a blessing. Support the local hobby shop! This is a family run business that provides top notch customer service from an extremely knowledgeable staff that are all hobby enthusiasts themselves. I always enjoy talking to Mark and Taylor (I'm forgetting the third guys name), they are both incredibly helpful and they know their stuff, if you ever have a question I'm sure they can help and do it with a smile.(it's awesome talking to everyone in ultimate hobbies. From airplanes and drones all the way to scrap booking they have it all here, and if they don't they can probably have it in a few days. I buy all my rtr rc cars from them (better pricing than online for most), and they always have the parts I need. Jon runs a great hobby shop, that has a great selection for kids and all us big kids too. If you need it, they have it, or can get it in the store within a week. Nice inventory of mini 4wd parts. Like most hobby stores, this hobby shop caters to the RC crowd. I am more into model building. I was pleasantly surprised that they actually have a decent inventory of models though the prices are pretty steep. It is probably hard to depend on this business since you can get stuff online cheaper, especially from over-seas sellers. Nevertheless, the workers are very helpful. They don't just stand behind the counter but some even walk around to see if you need help. I can appreciate that. They even have a section of the shops for these women to do scrap-booking which I thought was cool and strange at the same time. read more

I drove 55 minutes to buy a futaba receiver that didn't work I had to drive 55 minutes back I didn't get no type of customer service I couldn't even get help on setting up the receiver that I had bought from them never will I not recommend this place to anyone that seeks real help or real customer service read more

Never ever going back. Horrible service, by far some of the worst service I have ever had , and it was in front of my son. Anyway, my son and I just got new rock crawlers and I brought my charger inside to ask for some advice by a helpful guy name Cory I believe, once he started helping me for about less than a min the owner walked up and started questioning Cory that why wasn't he charging me for the advice by this time is was still Less than a min. He walked away and came back and said "I pay you guys a lot, so you can't just be giving away your knowledge charge him next time" and not to mention he probably told me the same thing maybe 3-4 times in a matter of maybe a minute and a half. All Cory was doing was telling me how to work a battery charger that's alllllll. Not wrenching on anything not doing any kind of work besides talking. So I bought some adapter that I needed, and when I left I told Cory thank you for your help and I pointed @ the owner and said "you not so much" The owner got upset, followed me to the door and told me I wasn't welcomed to his store anymore.haaaaa. I wasn't ever going to go back. Forget that place, it's down the street from me, but I will never go back. Nor refer that place. Horrible service from the owner. If your going to run a business that's not how you do it, you could have mentioned it to your employee once, and then maybe did it in private. Not make your employee and customer feel uncomfortable, I didn't because your a moron but other people can. read more

Having been used to their old shop location, I remember them stocked full of rc's!!!!! Fast forward to their new location, it's hard to find anything!!! Miss the old days of UH's... this was my "go-to" shop for all things RC. Even when I had nothing to do, a trip to UH would make my day better. Not so much anymore. These days, your off better buying online. I used to b a firm believer in supporting the LHS (local hobby store) but ever since UH downscaled, it's hard to go there w their limited selections!!! It's too bad my first review has to be a bad one but my experience today at this store was anything but good. Came here this afternoon to take a look around and see what this place had. Upon walking around, the shelves were lacking inventory and the place just seemed old and run down. An employee did ask me if I needed help but there seemed to only be a few guys working. I was looking to talk to a manager but I'm not sure where or if there was one. There was an odd looking middle aged man whom I'm assuming is a manager or owner. He didn't seem too concerned about helping any customers in there but was shouting orders at other workers. Not something you want to see as a customer. Owners are a bit nasty and don't trust anyone. They even follow you around the store, like I was going to steal something, lol. Another thing is most of the time they will not let you carry the items to the cashier, total lack of trust. They treat there customer's like crap. Pretty disappointed with the customer service I received here. I felt rushed and not really cared for , one of the counter guys handed me everything I asked for but took the battery to the register? It's store policy I'm sure but still like why hand me a 20 dollar item but take up a 15 dollar one? I also had to wait forever for someone to help me. The owners and some of the employees have the worst customer service skills! Of the two trucks we bought from them, one of the trucks was defective. As soon as we opened the box we noticed that the remote control truck had scuff and scratch marks on the the top part of the cabin. When we went to complain about the defective truck, the owner of the store refused to replace the product. According to him, such issue was our problem. Despite our insistence that the product was like that when we first opened it, the man (owner of the store) refused to recognize that this product was faulty and basically called us dumb and treated us with poor customer service skills. He never apologized for selling us this product and never sympathized with our unfortunate circumstance. Long story short, we had to contact a different company who was kind enough to replace the cabin of the truck for free. Now these people know how to sympathize with their customers. Of the 2 trucks we bought, we actually ended up having issues with both trucks. In terms of the second truck that we ordered. It never arrived! For six months we waited and kept going to the store asking them why the truck never arrived. Each time, with the same despotic and careless attitude, they (owner and two other employees) claimed that they hadn't received any truck of that model (only the newer version of that model), that due to the holidays orders were delayed, among other excuses. They were also unwilling to call the delivery company in regards to the product we ordered. Each time, they ignored our questions and basically told us to come back another day, once again leaving us with more questions than answers. In the end we were tired of waiting, and we decided to get our money back. Luckily, they didn't budge as much as the other times and did manage to give us our hard earned money back. In my opinion if they're going to own a business, they should learn how to treat customers and own up to their mistakes. That's the most important attribute a business owner should have. Throughout the six months that my family and I went, we were never treated kindly and respectfully. I don't know if it is a race issue (since my family and I are Hispanic) or if they just lack social and customer service skills. Whatever the truth is, they should dedicate their lives to something else. read more

Absolutely LOVE this place! Great customer service! They are great at offering suggestions and help! They help diagnosing problems .. They have someone on site to fix things, and he is a magician. But, they really encourage you to try and fix things yourself. My son has been into R/C cars for Years, and he's now part of an R/C drag racing league. This is the go to shop for rc cars, airsoft electronic parts, paint (small scale), and labor for installing. They do great work cheap, and the grampa tech was so nice and LOVES what he does, it becomes kind of contagious. Definitely coming back! read more
