Be prepared that this is bulk so unless you're going to volunteer again or wrap a couple hundred baskets, be prepared to store them all for multiple years or repurpose! For five years I have been ordering mailers for my small business here. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on them! And now I have received updated mailers, they are half an inch smaller. This is critically important to me, because my product fits tightly into the old mailers. Later I also discovered that the adhesive tape sticks to your fingers when you seal the mailer. In short, these were completely different bags. When I contacted customer support, they lied to me that the bags were checked and there were no changes. I suggested that they would rather increase the price per bag a little than sell this garbage. It is impossible to work with these bags now. The adhesive tape sticks to your fingers and your fingers are covered in glue, and then this glue transfers to your laptop and other things you touch. I hope they will return to the previous quality. Now the customer support has completely stopped answering my messages! Look for another, more reliable supplier! read more

Pre-pandemic I took an annual trip to wholesale supplier, Shinoda Design Center, in Santa Ana with a friend who has a business license for gift wrapping supplies. When I ran out of supplies during the pandemic, I scoured the Internet for a new source. The usual suspects seemed to list but two options for tissue paper: a normal quantity but insanely priced or a well-priced lifetime supply. I wanted a normal quantity of well-priced tissue paper. I found it at PaperMart, but a beautiful website alone doesn't seduce me. I asked a couple friends who confirmed they use PaperMart all the time, so I doubled down and added ribbon to my tissue paper order - a lot of ribbon. When I checked out, the ordinary shipping options disappeared. It was then that I saw it'd be a local delivery. My first thought was stoked to be supporting a local business. Second thought was how difficult they were going to make delivery. I answered the questions about when to deliver and went on about my day. A few days later, I received a couple phone calls about the forthcoming delivery. When I got home from work, I opened my door to two perfectly intact boxes from PaperMart. On my way into work the next day, I spotted a PaperMart delivery truck in Santa Monica Canyon. It made me think I must be late to the game on this place - but better late than never! read more

Historically I buy my packaging and paper goods from either Uline or Paper Mart, and the only reason I buy from the former is that they have a size or style I really need that PM does not stock. The service I have experienced from Paper Mart has been exceptional, even when problems arise (which is very rare). I honestly would not be able to run my business without them. I have had orders delivered and have picked up at their will call when in a rush, and both experiences have been outstanding every time. The staff onsite and on the phone is always helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly and the products purchased have always been perfection. I have been a customer of papermart for about 15 years, the were always a great place to get your supplies from. I have a small business but buy about 1500-2500 a year worth of cardboard flats from them. They have always been good quality until the last couple years. I understand that there was a pandemic and thats why I have never complained about the 2-3 price increases in the last 2 years, while the business news says there is an overabundance of cardboard on the market https://www.marketwatch.com/story/one-possible-supply-issue-for-2023-as-shipping-slows-too-much-cardboard-11671138472 My complaint is despite the increases the quality is so low and inconsistent that filling orders this morning I had to throw out at least 6 out of 12 pieces of the corrugated flats, they bended in my hand like butter, I even tried three pieces and they just bend, if you put any pressure on them, they fold along the ridges almost immediately. Ive been having to throw out pieces for the last couple weeks, and the bundles are getting worse the higher the prices climb. When your paying close to .30 apiece for a 14x11" piece of cardboard I cant afford to throw out pieces every day. I dont know what is going on over there but they dont seem to care. This has been going on for some time. In addition my last order was just over a 1000.00 for several thousand pieces, when showing up to pick up the order. The majority of the order was all loose pieces, no straps or banding on the bundles just thousands of loose pieces in stacks. They have always banded there bundles up until about 2 years ago. Let me tell you how difficult it is to load, unload and store thousands of small pieces of cardboard that are all individual loose pieces. Previous to picking it up last time the time before I had it delivered to a storage in Los Angeles and had my mom meet them at the storage as I live about 130 miles away. She is in her 70s and they drove up with a truck full of loose cardboard, and would not help unload it, the drivers before that would always help and we would tip them. I would not have sent my mom to meet them if I knew the policy had changed. That is why I drove in person this last time to pick up the order. When I called to complain about the loose cardboard they blamed the vendors. What I cant understand is the time it would take to put a string or band around the 50 piece bundles can not be more cost effective than the extra work not only for the customer but for the papermart warehouse workers who have to fill these orders. When they are loose like this they also incur a ton of damage from sliding around and bumping the corners. If its the vendor and you cant find another vendor (whos product is increasingly inferior) then maybe hire someone to band the bundles. Like I said it doesn't seem like they really care. Really disappointed with this company. They were at one time quite fair in there pricing, quality and customer service. They are still slightly less than other sources if you pick up the items in person or have them locally delivered, but taking into account the loose pieces and the loss from the pieces that are sub par for shipping, its probably to the point of paying more to have them shipped by mail from another company. read more

Tried PaperMart for the first time and I'm a now a huge fan! There's a wide selection of boxes, it is a packaging fanatic's dream come true! I was looking for a high end mailer box and found a really nice smooth metallic silver option. You can't find a better price online (well you can order from overseas but good luck with shipping it over). The best part of picking up from their warehouse is the clearance items they have for sale. I was able to find really nice huge gift bags, smaller boxes, and tissue paper for next to nothing. They take cash only for these items. They also offer custom printing services, which I'm sure is fairly priced. All I was trying to do was buy one roll of ribbon and I spent a half hour futzing with their online system. First having to sign in to just buy some ribbon is ridiculous and a hassle, but fine, I know they're trying to capture customer business. Had to reset my password. Didn't work. Kept getting error messages. Tried contacting chat. They had the wrong email address for me. Finally I gave up. In these days of so much serious stuff going on, ribbon is not the most important thing. So if you are trying to buy it, or in my case, it's just trying to add a little spot of joy and brightness in what can be the bleakness of the world sometimes, is the goal. The process of just trying to buy the ribbon was so aggravating, I gave up. Life can be aggravating. Just trying to buy a beautiful roll of ribbon as a bright spot should not be such a hassle. My GO TO for paper goods and packaging for years now. My biggest dilemma ordering online for cake boxes is that I could get them for very cheap but since ordering in bulk ends up being very heavy, the shipping cost is just ridiculous. Papermart has the will call / pick up option which has saved me so much on shipping. Order online and select will call / pick up and they will have your order ready at their warehouse (Orange). This place is so organized and efficient. They make sure to get you in and out of there quick. You check in at the will call booth, for smaller orders, they usually have it ready in a paper bag and just give it to you. For bigger / heavier orders, they give you a receipt with an assigned dock number. You just pull into their loading area to your assigned dock number and hand your paperwork to a worker and they bring out the orders to you. All my orders through the years have been correct. They're very easy to work with. I love getting my supplies from here. read more

I love the concept of being able to find everything that I could possibly need for my small business, plus, they're local so I can pick up. However, I think I've returned everything I've ever ordered because the quality is not great. I keep going back because I want to love this place and support them, but it just hasn't been a good experience. The colors on the website are really off. I ordered peach tissue paper and it's much more orange than peach. The light pink is actually much darker than what it shows on multiple screens I've tried. I also ordered the shipping boxes with tabs that are supposed to fit into slits on the bottom and they did not fold up the way they were supposed to. The tabs are not cut long enough to even fit into the slits so the box kept coming apart. I called customer service and they set up for a replacement pack, but even those didn't fold up correctly because the tabs just aren't cut correctly. I ended up returning those as well. Returns are relatively easy, but sometimes come with an eye roll or two. read more

The best part is that shipping is FREE on any order and that they give out up to 5 free samples as long as you cover the $10 shipping fee. $10 vs. 100 of unwanted boxes from PaperMart, no problemo! This is an online store with an option to pick-up at their warehouse to save you shipping fees. They have a huge selection of paper bags, gift wrapping paper, boxes, food containers, ribbons, etc. for a good price. There's no minimum order which is a huge plus, however, the purchases are in bulk. No, you cannot order just 10 Chinese take-out cartons to give away for Valentine's Day, the minimum available order is 50 pieces. I wanted blue balloons for a party, though cheap, their smallest order is 100 pieces. I don't need THAT much. They do sell paper cups that are sold in quantities of 15. I do wish they had lower quantities for bulk orders for some of their food containers, balloons, etc. But I do think this is a great place for larger celebrations, especially weddings. I'm planning to get my boxed favors from here. They do NOT have everything though. But you can always leave a comment or request. So far, they have not succeeded with my request for suitcase-shaped food boxes or ice cream/fried chicken tubs. Pick up is different now. I've been wanting to purchase ribbon from Paper Mart for the longest time, especially since the ribbon source I was going to had changed their ribbon supplier and the quality was just not the same anymore. I make ribbon leis for graduations and celebrations, so when I have 10 orders in a day, I don't have time to be checking out a new ribbon source...finally I had the opportunity to purchase ribbon from Paper Mart and am kicking myself that I did not buy from them sooner. The quality of their ribbon is absolutely lovely and my leis are just that much more beautiful! I live a few cities away, however, I first tried out how their shipping worked...in case I am not able to pick up...and wanted to know how long it would take. Shipping cost was great for me, like I said, I'm only a few cities away. So shipping vs gas, I don't mind paying the shipping. Plus I received my items at most in two days. I have ordered gift wrapping suppllies from Paper Mart many times for the last decade and have always been perfectly satisfied with my orders. Quality is excellent, never any defects, good pricing and shipping times. My 1 star rating is based solely on their OUTRAGEOUSLY EXCESSIVE SHIPPING CHARGE! It's never been this high before. I know we're in a period of inflation, but I've ordered from at least 100 different web retailers this year and NOT ONE of them charges such SKY HIGH SHIPPING CHARGES. Paper Mart states their FedEx Ground Economy is their most "cost-efficient shipping option and is best for residential deliveries under 10 lbs and nonurgent." Well, they need to rethink that statement, as charging $14 to ship items totaling $28 and barely weighing 1 lb and only traveling a 4 mile distance across town (I'm unable to drive to pickup order) is not at all "cost efficient!" Sad to think that one of my favorite websites for gift wrapping supplies has now resorted to making money off their ridiculously exorbitant shipping charges. For shame Paper Mart! read more

I'm fortunate to live very close and pickup from will call, however due to Covid19 will call was closed for awhile and I had to have my products shipped. The shipping rates were reasonable and I got my orders within a day or two. Will call just opened back up today and I was able to pickup my order, which went extremely smooth. They have a great system in place. The one thing I really miss is the little over stock section they had in the front when you used to go into the office, but I totally get it, and look forward to it returning! I ordered replacement parts for a heat sealer previously bought on PaperMart. I made the purchase on January 16th, 2018 along with other items. The website showed that the item was in stock. Once I received my shipment, the item was missing. Apparently it was back ordered and I was told it would ship once it would be back in stock. Months and months go by and it's now May 17th, 2018. I confirmed in the Live Chat that the item was in stock and yet it hasn't shipped. I ordered a product from PaperMart and it was to be shipped to me. The following day, I happen to be in the area and stopped to see if I could pick up the product versus waiting 3 business days to get it. When I went to the will call window, I was told that the product had shipped. Which was ok because I was in the area and I thought I would try. When I went back out to my vehicle and looked at the order on my iPad, it was not marked as shipped. I thought well maybe their online had not caught up to offline systems. Later that day I checked again and I could see through Fedex's website when the label was created and it had not left their facility for the Fedex yet. This was confirmation that they had not created the label or shipped the product. This was their CS representative being lazy. Now the shipment is scheduled for delivery 4 business days after I made the order and I am only 50 miles away from their office. When you sell product that is mass produced and can be purchased anywhere, you win more customers over with your service and ability to be easy to do business with. I use Paper Mart a lot and I just placed my order on Tuesday and with regular ground shipping at no charge I received my order today (Friday) with no mistakes. I have never had Paper Mart mix-up my order, once I made a mistake on my order and called them and they told me to return it and they would credit my card, which they did with not problem. Awesome customer service. They have so many unique things for birthdays, weddings etc. I just purchased some Mason Jars in different sizes, mini colored and clear Chinese take out boxes, wrapping paper, gift bags and beautiful wired ribbons. I highly recommend them for your party needs. There website is awesome and easy to use and checkout, they are located in OC. Last week I received my first order from Paper Mart. There were 3 boxes, and I could tell when I picked up the first box that I was in trouble. It was much too light - it was empty. Long story short - a roll of wrapping paper disappeared in transit. I have never had such a pleasant experience with customer service! I worked with Joanne, and she was not only professional, but she was charming. She did solve my problem, and she was very helpful and kind in every step of the process. I don't know if the paper was stolen or misplaced, but Paper Mart replaced it and everything is good on my end. I am a brand new customer, but I was treated with respect, calls were returned promptly, and everything was as it should be. I first called the day it happened, and Joanne made appropriate notes on my file, so when I called to follow up everything was in order. Great service and wonderful products - what more could I ask for? I am a very happy customer, and will be glad to give Paper Mart any repeat business I can. I am an individual and not a business, but that didn't make any difference to Joanne in her professional response to me. I really have no idea how this company has four stars, their customer service is some of the worst I've ever experienced. I made an order of Christmas gift wrap for my company in early November. They waited almost 3 weeks to tell me that more than half of my order is out of stock. The woman I placed the order on the phone with originally told me everything was in stock. So I call to place an additional order, and I'm given a wild goose chase. I literally talked to five representatives before Rebecca Huston found me a solution. She's the only competent one who works there, very pleasant and helpful, give her a raise! All the reps before her said they'd "call me back" and never did. All I wanted was the place a second order, I just wanted to know what was and wasn't in stock! And now I'm in a limbo with accounting because they've send me so many different invoices that I've lost track. I've paid two of the invoices, when suddenly I receive more invoices that are apparently past due. Some of the items on these invoices I've never received. Apparently there is no way of consolidating my two orders into simply two invoices. I don't intend to work with Paper Mart ever again, this is a nightmare. read more
