First time here and we will probably go back to Color Me Mine next time. Booked a party of 6 kids, and paid the $60 deposit. When we arrived, they told me there is also a mandatory 18% gratuity. First, that is legally supposed to be disclosed clearly and in advance which it was not. The kids picked out their paint colors and then we found out that your location was out of (six) different colors that they wanted and they had to settle for less appealing options. The attendants were slow to replenish the paint and acted like it was an inconvenience, even though they were getting a "mandatory gratuity". They could have been nicer and more friendly. One of the colors they "replenished" was not the same color as we got at the beginning even though we asked for the same color # and the attendant even checked the # to make sure, and one of the kids ending up having two different colors of paint in one section of her ceramic piece that she was really disappointed about. When we asked the attendant how we could fix it, she said she didn't know and literally walked away mid-conversation to help someone else. She clearly did not care about our party once we sat down. My bill was almost $300 and the mandatory gratuity was $49.32 which was absolutely not worth the service we got. I doubt we would come back to your store since we never had this issue at Color Me Mine. read more

I would like to see how my pottery actually came out before giving a review however i will talk about my experience. it seems as the staff may not be as trained as much as they should be. she told us to pick a vessel and to sit. when we did she just gave us supplies and said tell me what color you guys want. we were necessarily greeted or given directions and the girls weren't very attentive either. one girl was talking on the phone the entire time while she was working and another girl was working on her own pottery. we basically had to ask for everything. now pricing... yes their processing fee is listed on their website however the girl helping us did not relay that information to us so if i hadn't booked online i would've been surprised at the end what my total was. i will say i was still surprised my total was over $100 because their processing fee was $12 for firing EACH of the pottery piece. everywhere else ive been to has been less than $8 each... i usually always check yelp just incase and i knew i should've because for $100 i don't feel like the experience was worth it. once i receive both pottery dishes (which from some people on yelp have said theirs is messed up) ill update my review. they also had a point system where u can build points up and they told me they don't know how to get to it but they completely bypassed it when i was paying. read more

I even saw you come in and speak to your worker (I assume that was you as she gave you a phone and you were sitting at the table looking at two phones and even went to the back). Please respond to my review confirming that I am a real person, I did indeed visit, and that this did indeed occur. You can speak to your worker- she was the only one there and she wears glasses. Attaching my receipt. Also to respond- there were no disposable aprons. Your worker even rummaged around the drawers on the right hand back wall with the other crafts and told me you must have run out. Go ask her. Regarding the bowls, why on earth would I make this up. Went here this afternoon with my nieces, aged 10 and 9. My nieces did cream glue projects and decorated a heart shaped jewelry box and a pencil case. My 10 year old niece was getting FRUUUSTRAAATED TO THE MAX because her jewelry box wasn't turning out the way she wanted. This was her first time working with cream glue, and she was having a little trouble with it. There was a bit of disappointment when we came for the mosaic and discovered there was a rather limited selection but we still managed to find some decent selections to adorn. Be warned that the mosaic takes a lot of patience and time! We arrived around 5:30ish and didn't finish until around 8. It's pretty hands off. They show you where to get the materials, give you your glue and the rest of it is basically up to you! I was kind of bummed that they didn't finish it for you either like with the pottery glazing. Made a reservation but I don't think I needed to. You get to pick through their various selection of charms and then cream and put them on your item. I'm sad you only get two color cream per item because I think I would've wanted to use more if I could. staff is very friendly. This takes like a week to dry btw we didn't know but you can leave there to dry and pick up later. My daughter and her friends all had so much fun! It's not just a paint pottery, you can glue stuff to jewelry boxes or other trinket items, or make customized phone cases or photo frames. The staff is great and very accommodating. She showed the girls how to use the glue, which is piped and colored so they can just squeeze it like colorful icing. Cool concept but was disappointed how pricey and limited some things were. I got a small container which includes a little figure but it didn't match my theme so I didn't get it. This small container was $38 and they also charge a $5 studio fee which was weird because wouldn't it be included in the high price tag of the base already? You get 15 pieces of deco included and each additional gem is an additional $1. There normal cuter cream glue was all gone and only the super bright and transparent glues were available which weren't that cute. Many of the gems on the examples displayed were not available. Studio was interesting and had different activities like pottery, decoden cream glue, drip fluid bear, scented diffuser, and mosaic art. Their website also shows price breakdown as well. Seems you could stay here as long as you want since we were there fore over 3 hours, just make sure to make a reservation incase it's busy. read more

Came here to celebrate my daughter's 5th birthday and they were able to accommodate a same-day reservation for our party of 5, which I really appreciated. I was excited to try this place because I usually take her to Color Me Mine, and this studio caught my attention due to the variety of crafts they offered beyond pottery painting -- especially activities I thought my boys would enjoy too. Unfortunately, once we arrived, I was disappointed. A lot of the items were already sold out, and even for the splash paint activity, the paint color options were extremely limited. My son specifically wanted purple and black, and there was no purple available- we were scrapping every color purple bottle for any remaining scraps of color. Considering we were paying over $80 for this project, it was frustrating not to have access to the colors we wanted, especially with very little guidance on how to actually paint the splash object. There was also a period of time where we were left completely alone and had to wait for the employee to return before we could check out. She did explain that she was the only one working and hadn't even had a chance to eat, which I completely sympathize with. However, after spending over $200 for 3 kids, I expected more product availability, and a better overall experience. On a plus side, the girl did say my daughter could get free stickers if we left a yelp review. Therefore I wish the review could be better, as I dislike negativity, but wanted to keep it honest. read more

PARKING The location is in a busy shop complex, so if you don't find parking right away, there is a parking structure where you can park for free. There were several openings when I went. STORE The store is located on the 2nd floor. We were greeted by Peter. He was very kind and showed us the neat things we could design. You are able to get 15 charms total from the wall, but there are other beads, glitter, stickers, and tools you can use for free on the table too. I loved the cute Sanrio characters. *There is a ton of charms so have fun treasure hunting and looking through each drawer. You are given a basket while you browse through the selection. *There are also samples you can look at DESIGN PROJECTS You can design so many things there! I chose to do a lanyard to put my work ID in. Some items I saw: pencil case, phone case, hair clips, mirrors, picture frames, and more! DESIGN TABLE -There are a lot of tools available for you to use: scrapers, tweezers, cotton swabs, wipes, tissue -Box of free beads *Once you are ready to start creating you are given two colorful glue tubes to choose from. I liked the way the transparent color looked versus the solid colors. Feel free to practice on a napkin before piping on your charms. TIME We spent about 1 hour and 30 minutes in the shop. It was so relaxing and fun. You are also able to bring in your own beverages to sip on while you are making your project. It does take time to dry, but you can take it home with you if you don't want to pick it up at the shop later in the week. All in all I had a great time! I just spent $500 on a birthday party for my daughter and they didn't teach the kids how to use the glue or how many charms they can use (only 15) then the girl scolded the kids for "wasting" the charms and tried to charge us $1 per extra charm. If they provided us with clear instructions then this would not be a problem. The girls felt bad and I was embarrassed. Also they charge $15 per person for no shows. Not going back and telling my friends not to either. Response to owner: None of what I said was false, I have friend who were there with me to support my claims. You need to do a better job of communicating the steps for the crafts, especially to children. Moreover, when providing the bill, no need to walk through it in front of party guests, this is just common sense. First time here. Cute, and at the same time, really reallllllllly disappointing. The staff wasn't attentive and didn't explain anything to us. Granted it was packed, but we had reservations, and we sat there for a while with no direction to get us started. We had to flag them and then they rushed explaining where everything was and it was truly unhelpful haha. They gave one person guidance on piping for the cream gel, and thought that was enough for everyone, even though we weren't done collecting charms (me). There was no cleaning supplies for the cream glue like q-tips and we had no tweezers for the duration of our time. They didn't give us all the "free" beads/enhancements until the very end and we were already done. How can you mess up this badly? They also never checked in on us and we had to flag them multiple times for things we needed, things I feel should already be on the table. They apologized after we paid as we were walking out the door. Perhaps if you knew you did a terrible job, you should have repaired our experience by compensating us in some way (More charms, a discount, etc.). Mismanagement in customer service and staffing. We went again yesterday and the shop seems to have extended what they offer product-wise but this created a short coming for the existing projects- for example the charm selection is now half of what it used to be so there was room for other project displays. Also, the charms were not sorted beautifully like before and now are just thrown in a big pile. Was so much fun tk pick through and enjoy seeing all the options. We ended up finding the ones we wanted discarded on the floor. They were also out of cream glue colors and seemed flustered. I am extremely disappointed with my pottery products from this location. I bought a heart dish and a monster piggy bank. Fortunately, the main issue with the piggy bank was a random paint spot on the arm. I'm assuming it was from close contact with other items being fired too close together in the kiln as the colors that ended up on it were not from the color palettes we used. The heart dish I painted is bubbled and lumpy in some areas and cracked and chipped in others. There is a little black smudge and black specks here and there. The owner did try and fix the chips and cracked paint which I appreciate but overall it just does not look good and I would not recommend their pottery. Photos are from the initial pick up where the paint was egregious and the other photos are from their attempt at fixing it. read more
