Went in with 10 other moms today and our newborn babies! Jake was working and he went above and beyond to not only make sure our experience was enjoyable , but also gave us extra help with a smile in his face! 10/10 ! Also this location is the best

came here for a chill paint-your-own-pottery day and had a really great experience! the staff at color me mine were super friendly and walked us through everything from start to finish. they explained the whole process clearly from how to choose a piece, pick colors, and what to expect with the firing and pickup. they were helpful if we had any questions and gave tips without being overbearing. the place itself was clean and organized, with a calm, creative vibe. there were a ton of pottery options to choose from mugs, animals, plates, figures, you name it. so it was fun taking our time to pick something that matched our mood. we ended up paying about $90 total for two pottery figures, which includes the price of the figure and a small studio/firing fee. they originally said our pieces would be ready in a week, but we actually got a call just 2-3 days later saying they were done! love when businesses exceed expectations like that. overall, a fun and relaxing activity, whether you're going solo, with a friend, or even for a low-key date. would definitely come back to paint again.

Wonderful experience!! Jake and team provided white glove service to our 10+ person crew, and our babies. We were so grateful for their patience and support during our time together. 10/10 would go back again.

Dog friendly!

We had a great time at Color me Mine! It's so nice they let you bring your dogs! Everyone was so welcoming a helpful! Our pieces came out so well! We truly enjoyed the whole experience!

Fun experience, but pricey. There's a studio fee per person plus the cost of the item you choose. Wish there could be more variety of paint colors and items to pick and paint. Staff are very nice, they do not rush you. Ambiance: good music playlist while you paint. We came on a Saturday morning and there was plenty of space, started getting busier towards the afternoon. Parking: plenty of parking in the Metro Pointe plaza and underground. Items are fired quickly and you'll receive them in less than a week.

My first experience since high school painting on ceramics! I had such a great experience especially with the workers there :) Each person pays a difference price depending on the ceramic they choose; the price is at the bottom of the pot. They range from $20-$40 from the ones I saw, but I assume bigger ones would be more expensive. Each person also has to pay for a $12 Studio Fee which includes a 2 hr experience, use of supplies, and the firing kiln. We were able to refill on the colors as much as we need by either letting a worker know or going to the station and getting it ourselves! After picking our ceramic, we write it on our board and the person picking up the ceramics will write their information on the clipboard. The ceramics should be ready in 3-5 days and they'll send a text to you! It will be held for up to 30 days. My friend and I were able to stay a bit longer than we did (maybe because it wasn't too busy) but we were finished in our own time and didn't feel rushed. Mon-Wed have special promotions so take advantage of it!

My husband and I visited the Color Me Mine on South Coast Dr. for the first time, and we absolutely loved it! The whole experience was fun, creative, and perfect for a date night, parties, or a girls' night out. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming--taking the time to explain how everything worked and happily answering all our questions. This place truly feels like a hidden gem, and we can't recommend it enough!

Went for a Thursday night happy hour and I highly recommend this out of all the events! There's little charcuterie snacks and a raffle. Overall, the studio fee is cheap ($12) and its more the items themselves that are expensive ($24 small planter/plate). You sit down, they go over the logistics with you and then you go choose your item. They give you a palate with colors, but you can get more! And refills are all conveniently numbered on a cart. They fire it in 3-4 days so it's actually really fast. For the paint, I would definitely stick with the no light over dark rule and dot on the paint thickly. Overall the atmosphere and staff here were great and quite relaxing so I would recommend here if you can afford it.

Hi Jessica! Thank you for pointing this out! We’ve been working with Yelp to correct this - somehow their algorithm has reverted our times back to the previous owners times BUT good news is - Yelp says it’s now fixed. :-)

Our instructor, Sage, was incredibly friendly and helpful, guiding us through the entire pottery-making process and making it feel approachable even for beginners. Guess what, I never got it and had to reach out again. Overall it took us over 3 months from the first class to get our pieces. It's a great concept and fun but would not recommend this business to anyone.

An overdue review based on the pottery wheel class and glazing option experience. For reservations,…read moreI made it for two people through their website. This was for a public class on a Saturday at around 4:30 PM. The class consisted of 8 people max and seemed to be all couples. All of the equipment was prepared like an apron, clay, pottery wheel, etc. We had an instructor that was very knowledgeable and explained everything from start to finish. Complex technicals were explained in layman's terms. We were given enough clay to create 3 pieces but could keep up to two. The instructor also frequently went around to check everyone's pieces and was able to troubleshoot as needed. It was a fun experience but be very prepared to get your hands dirty! The glazing portion was separate from the class. There was no reservation needed for that so I did it the same day that I went to see the ceramics. For parking, street parking could be hit or miss depending on the time. I'd recommend coming early to have ample time to find parking. Overall, I enjoyed the experience enough. It could have been perfect if the staff here remembered to follow up on when the ceramics were ready for pickup. I am happy with the end result though.

They couldn't find it under either. Jennifer, the owner messaged me on the side and offered studio credit for when we come back to glaze. I appreciate that offer since my bf and I had to and have to coordinate this date to come to the studio. I live around half an hour away and he lives over an hour away, which made it that much more disappointing when we drove all the ways last time only to be told it was lost. I messaged and asked to see if it was possible to have our pottery ready this time for when we came to glaze to prevent further mishap. They were kind and had our pottery ready for when we head back. I was happy with how our pottery turned out. It was with the red clay so it looked tan. Ashley helped us with the glazing. She gave us tips and instructions. They have a ton of different colors. They have a color section that's easier to work well and good with designs. There's also another set of colors that have some details and undertones. I picked four colors and hoped for the best. It's interesting because the more special glaze are all shades of gray, even when you paint it on. It's really is trusting the process. They put our pottery on the rack and told us it would be ready for pick up in 2-3 weeks. I'm hoping the pick up this time goes better! This glazing experience went well and I appreciate, Jennifer, the owner, reaching out personally and offering the studio credit.

We did this for our girl's day and while it can be initially more on the expensive side, we were able to paint at least 2-3 ceramics each. We did buy more paint than what was included in the take home kit because we wanted more colors, but if you plan your colors meticulously then the original amount you're given is more than enough to paint 1 ceramic each. The glazing is covered once you pay for the kit and ceramics and if you have leftover paint and want to go back to buy more ceramics, you don't need to pay extra for any of the glazing. I much prefer this than going in-store if you are doing a group activity. You can take your time painting and it's always nice to be able to do what you want in the comfort of your home. I am 27 years old, I'd say the class ranges from 17-70! There is about 10-ish people in the class. Each person works on their own piece- meaning she is NOT up in the front giving instructions while everyone paints the same dang thing. This is not the type of class. The classes are intimate, and very relaxed. She has everything you need to start your first masterpiece. Really, you don't need to bring a thing! You can choose any medium in the adult class- oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, ceramics, and probably even more. It's is SUCH a great place for a beginner, because you can try all the different mediums until you find one right for you, with no investment in supplies! This is rare. Sher really is a wonderful woman. She is as hands on or hands off as you need. If you need her to sit by you and walk you through every step, she's there. If you want to do you own thing she'll stop by with once or twice with encouragement and her two cents! Most students in the adult class have been going to her for years and doing their own thing, so she's always able to give extra attention to newbies. She is very chatty, it seems like everyone in the class is old friends. She has great stories to tell. I'm a bit quieter while I'm painting, but I do not find the chatter among the class distracting at all. Even though I've painted most my life, i was a bit nervous coming into a new studio- NO NEED! This is the most relaxed, kind group of people I've found. No artsy egos, no judgment, no pressure. Lastly, her children's classes and art camps seem to be super popular. Some of the parents are now in the adult class because they were jealous of how much fun the kids were having. How cool is that!
