First time at color me mine! Did a walk-in at around 6p and thankfully there was a table for us 4. It was very busy though. Lots of options for things to paint. Workers were kind and explained everything. Very quick to refill any paints. Did wish there were a little more organized for the extras but I figured it was just people were actively using the items. We had about an hour to paint since they closed at 7 and we definitely felt like we were rushing. I'd recommend having at least 1.5hrs to paint depending on how intricate you want to go. Had a great time visiting the Costa Mesa location with my 5 and 7-year-olds! We really enjoyed the painting experience, and the staff there were incredibly nice and helpful throughout our visit. While the item prices do feel a bit steep--even considering the glazing, firing, and studio process--it's still a wonderful activity to do with the family. You can park in the parking lot and walk over to the place. The location takes you to Banc of California, but it's same tall glass windows. Just walk further in towards the other stores and you'll see it. Make reservations ahead of time. There is a $100 deposit to reserve, and you'll get it back after your reservation. Once you arrive, you can select from a variety of ceramics (cups, figurines, plates, bowls, etc.) They have a lot of choices! Each painter is $12 and each selection of ceramic you chose has a different price tag. Once you choose your ceramic, you can select 6ish colors. You can then start painting after you select your colors. They also have some stencils, pencils, sponge, smaller paint brushes, etc to help with your painting. You do get 2 hours of paint time, but if it's not packed, they do let you stay longer than 2 hours. They don't have restrooms, but they have a sink where you can wash your hands after you're done. It does take about a week to get your ceramic after painting. Overall, it was a fun experience! This location is smaller compared to other Color Me Mine locations, you're able to select your paint colors then a worker will grab those for you. They have a lot of options of pottery to choose from. We came after 5pm and the painter's fee was around $13/person. The workers are very nice and were very helpful during our experience. I came here for my early birthday since I was looking for a fun activity to do for my 27th birthday. I saw this place all over my TikTok page so I wanted to try something new for my birthday. I went here with my sister and she made a cute plate and I made my own perfume tray. It was a great experience, but drawing was really hard for me so I'm not a good artist like that. The employee was super nice and friendly. They given give you instructions on how the paint works & more fills on your paint of the colors you choose. You can choose up to 6 colors of your choice and they can refill the color that you pick. You can choose your own pottery to work on as well. Went for a ladies day for one our friends birthday. The store itself is cute but can get busy. We put our number on a waitlist, you get texted when a table is ready, and browsed the selection they had. Sooooo many choices to choose from. The pottery items and sculptures are already made and you get to decorate them any way you'd like. The paint looks very different compared to after your art piece has been "cooked". We had such a great experience at Color Me Mine in Costa Mesa! I brought my 7-year-old son, and we had so much fun painting a dinosaur together. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive, checking in on us, refilling our paints, and making sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back! When you walk in, it's light and bright and the employee tells you how it works - you pick out an item to paint and then pick out colors of paint you want to use- they bring the paint to you. Once you paint your item, you pay and leave it behind to be glazed then come back to pick it up. It was a lot of fun, can't wait to pick up my item!
