The owner, Gina, is great and friendly. Pottery can be fun but it's for sure not easy. One of the instructors, Heather, is classically trained in ceramics and almost over-qualified to teach, so anyone who takes her class is very lucky. She explains everything very well. You have plenty of opportunity to make lots of pieces if you move quickly and use your time wisely. I encourage anyone to try it if they're looking for a new hobby.

Billed as Orange County's Premiere Ceramic Studio. I personally checked it out and it's pretty large for a Ceramic Studio. They mainly do high fire clays and have classes and membership. The equipment is also pretty modern. If you love making your pottery, I would highly recommend a visit. --- Our state of the art facility, founded by Kevin A. Myers enables us to offer a unique, exciting and creative environment for the independent clay artist. Muddy's Studio is a fully equipped, 5400 square foot studio that meets the needs of sculptors, hand builders, and artists who work on the wheel. Muddy's Studio offers memberships, firing service, workshops, and sales, semi-private, private and shared studio space. Our studio facility has high fire reduction, electric kilns and a small raku kiln. We also host an extensive glaze station area, wheels, slab roller and extruder.

One of my favorite places. Been attending classes for around 4-5 months now and really fell in love with pottery. Everyone who works there is great, helpful, and welcoming.

First pieces on my first class!!!! So proud...had such an amazing time at Muddy's!!

Looking for a fun, creative and AWESOME pottery classes? Well...search NO MORE! Muddy's is THE best place for pottery classes. Gina is AMAZING, she's super kind, patient and very good at explaining things over and over again, specially to people like me who can be a lil distracted by anything and loses track of the lesson. Not only the lessons are great but the price is really, really good. This is my first time working the wheel and Gina, with her tips and teachings is making me feel like a pro and I'm nothing but infatuated with this form of art. I will definitely be taking future classes and I 100% recommend Muddy's to anyone who wants to do some pottery.

I suggest you glaze it yourself. When they did it, the end product looked sloppy and not useable.

Growing up in the South Bay, Torrance Cultural Arts Center became near and dear to my heart. When I…read morewas younger I took different classes dance classes here. I remember taking ballet as kid and modern dance as a teen. I also took a workout class when I was in college. I always appreciated the large and spacious dance studios where the classes were held. Now that I'm older I've also come to appreciate Torrance Cultural Arts Center as a venue. I've been to several different festivals here such as the Japanese Matsuri Festival and Lunar New Year festival. This spot is perfect for the community to get together and like how each festival is able to have many different booths. I also love how there is a stage area both outside and inside. I've also attended the Torrance Firefighters' Annual Spaghetti Dinner here. This is another great event at this spacious venue. Despite it being quite a popular dinner, there''s plenty of room for all to enjoy an evening out. Torrance Cultural Arts Center is great! Whether it be for classes or community events or festivals, this spot is perfect for small or large gatherings.

First time here. Found it through social media. Glad we went! 2026 Torrance Lunar Year Festival…read more It was so festive! Although a small community event, it was bigger than I thought. There were food vendors, arts and crafts, music, performers, lion dance, magician doing magic tricks, ballroom dancers, a lot of vendors promoting services as well as other sellers selling decor, ornaments, plush, garment/clothing, etc. There were a lot of things to see! They even have a small area to do a small arts and crafts paper lantern for the kids! You can even go further in and see the small koi pond and peaceful garden (PINE WIND GARDEN). The mayor was there along with other community and local city members. They sure pulled some strings to make that small event happen. It was so fun and memorable.

American Way Cultural Center - Hometown USA at Christmas. It's the most wonderful time of the year!

I really don't know why they call themselves a cultural center, but this is probably the best place…read morein Orange County and possibly LA County for someone to hold a school event (My only experiences here are with High School Dances). It's a very unique place that reminds me of a mini-Madonna Inn. There's a large outdoor area with a huge gazebo like structure, a massive dance floor, another outdoor area that is like a small Main Street ala Disneyland, a Victorian styled room for people to relax, changing rooms, plenty of restrooms, plus my other amenities that I can't remember. The decorations are thematic and change every couple of months. They usually are Asian/African/European/Hispanic themes. They even provide appropriate themed entertainment in the outdoor gazebo. The African dancers are a blast! The one thing that everyone likes about this place is that they really look after it's clients. They have a seamstress on duty for dances to prevent someone's dream night from turning into a nightmare. For chapparones, there's a room all to themselves to chill out and talk crap about how the kids are dressed and they even get their own snacks. They even provide their own security! I highly reccommend this place if anyone is looking to hold a large party/dance/soiree/shindig. There's really no where else like it and it's a safe and fun environment.

The best speaking club that I have ever visit! When came to…read morethe meeting for the first I had concerns related to my language because English is my second language. All members supported me and encouraged to stay. I see progress in my speaking skills with every meeting. The main idea of this particular club - no topic is taboo. I like this very much because we can discuss a lot of topic and listen other other points of view.

I have been to other toastmaster clubs and this one by far is one of the best...if not THE best in…read morethe area. Here are a couple of things that really made this club special. 1st thing is that everyone is so welcoming. The very first time I visited this club I felt extremely welcomed. 2nd thing is that this club is not afraid to talk about any topic. They really live by their motto "No topic is taboo" because I heard speeches and talks on very controversial topics such as politics, religion, and sex to name a few. What is remarkable though is how everyone is so respectful of other people's opinion that the club really creates a safe space to talk about anything. 3rd thing is that the members are very diverse from age, race, gender, occupation, family, recreation. There are young 25 yr olds all the way to 65+ both male and female that are engineers, sales, c level executives, students, entrepreneurs, single, married, kids, no kids, as wells as people from all the continents (except Antarctica...nobody really lives there). If anything just visit the club and see what it's all about.
