I left this class feeling scammed and disrespected. I've taken five paint-and-sip classes, and this was by far the worst experience. If Karen didn't feel up to hosting a small class, she should've just cancelled. The owner, Karen, did not lead the class herself. Instead, she had a friend or boyfriend run the session while she worked on a separate personal project. She even joked he wasn't an employee; which wouldn't have been an issue if he had demonstrated "master artist" skills as indicated on the booking. He frequently referred to the reference painting on the screen to decide what to do next, which made the instruction feel disorganized and unprofessional. He repeatedly described the piece as "whimsical," but it felt more like a way to justify the fact that his version didn't resemble the painting that was advertised when I booked the class. By the end, the paintings produced in class, including the instructor's, looked very different from the example shown on the screen and on the website. This is where it became evident for me we'd been scammed since we signed up expecting to create something similar to the advertised image. Our version of the painting was very elementary. Very little shading instruction was offered so our paintings look very one dimensional. We even received contradicting instructions from the instructor and Karen. Overall, this class did not meet expectations in terms of instruction, professionalism, or accuracy to what was advertised. I would not recommend it based on my experience. read more

Inspired Art Wine is the perfect place to learn how to paint while sipping on some delicious wine! I'm not sure what's better, the wine or the art. The owner Karen was a fun Instructure! Leading us step by step in how to paint using acrylic. She was fun, upbeat and personable. 2.5 hours flew by! Did I mention the wine? Karen is also an expert in wine selection. You will not disappoint. This art studio is clean, organized and easy to get around. The bar is located toward the back of the studio with breaks every :30 minutes to get your wine glass filled up. Wine and beer is for purchase. You can even order a cheese plate ahead of time to much while you sip and paint. We did the holiday beach painting this time. Great place to hang with a few friends and connect. Become an artist for a day at Inspire Art Wine. I will be recommend this place to everyone I know. read more

I attended a team building event for work with co-workers where we did wine tasting. We received some education about each type of wine that we tasted and we scored the wines based on our preferences. We also got to experiment with pairings as we had many snacks to pair with, meats, cheeses, crackers and chocolates. After the tasting and scoring, we were able to create our own bottle with choosing the bottle color, foil color, designed our own label and created a formula for our own blended wine based on our scoring of the wine tasting. Came here with a group of us and oh my gosh I didn't know this place existed but it is so cool! The art teacher (I believe her name was Kathy) has so many cool stories about her career and is so knowledgeable and is great at showing exactly what we're doing when, which I appreciated. I love that they have a bar inside where you can order mocktails, cocktails, wine, etc. This made it so unique! Everyone is really friendly, personable, and fun... and it was nice to meet the owner, too! They play music, converse with you, teach you things, give you breaks to socialize and refill.. it is open and spacious.. I only have great things to say. Inspired art wine is a fun activity for couples, friends, and even coworkers. The class we went to was a guided beach sunset class. Our teacher, who so happens yo be the owner was very helpful in giving tips and helping everyone bring their artistic side out. We opted for the reisling and it paired well with the cheese board. Although the cheeses were good, I wished the board had more crackers or fruits to balance the taste. This studio offers classes for different levels of painters so if you're more advanced, I definitely suggest you looking into one of their oil painting or portraits classes. read more

The entire staff here is a whole a** vibe. Super fun crew, very hospitable and friendly. They even walk around offering to take photos. And of course there's the painting. I didn't get to finish, but as someone who just dabbles in paints, I learned a ton and actually painted something fairly decent. Awesome experience. I took my roommate for her birthday. I went for one of the more challenging paintings. It was tough, but Karen was able to make the steps easy to replicate, I wasn't sure if I would like the end product, but we loved our paintings. Karen is watching you like a hawk. She fixed my roomie's painting when she was struggling. She'll also save you from yourself and stop you from ruining it when it looks perfect. To top it off, she'll also tell you how to make your paintings better. Overall, great experience and Karen is a great safety harness every step of the way. Painting classes always put me in a weird position, since my roommate and I would probably end up with nearly identical paintings if I followed the instructions perfectly, but there's no avoiding that. My husband and I both took a paint class (acrylic) and wines class at this location and I can honestly say it was the best date we ever had. I always thought art was so intimidating and my artistic abilities would only go so much as drawing stick figures. But Karen could teach and guide you to make something out of nothing. She is so incredible, very passionate about her craft and can teach anyone with no skills. It was probably the best 2+ hours of my life. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire process. I even felt proud of what I made, I never thought I could create something that beautiful. The wines class though, knocked any wines class I ever took in my life. It was so informative and applicable in our life and the best part of it all was teaching us how to pair the wines with food. She really took us on a journey and described the proper way to smell and taste the wine. It was like we were on vacation, somewhere nice and there was no worry about anything else going on in our life, just being present in the moment. My husband and I loved this place so much we are planning to take an oil painting class with her and another wines class in the future.
