When I first concluded the interview, I was assured by the owner Jasmine that I would hear back the very next day, if not by the end of the day. After two weeks, I assumed that they must have settled on another candidate. I was surprised to hear shortly after that I'd been offered the position. Though I found this delayed response strange, I was thrilled to be offered the position and quickly dropped my other arrangements. Throughout the entire training process, both the training website and staff app were being updated frequently. Something I noticed was that whenever there was an issue with the website, which was in a constant state of "maintenance in progress," or if there was an issue on Jasmine's end, she was quick to blame me before anything else. Once training on location began, I took it very seriously. I showed up on time, giving my 110% every day, and despite my steady growth, as well as positive feedback I was receiving from coworkers, I was shocked to receive a phone call from Jasmine telling me that I did not fit the position after making it so far into the training process. I have not met with Jasmine in person a single time, nor does she work at the location I was placed in. When I asked what the reason was that they were deciding to go with another candidate, she refused to give me any additional information. I'm left to come to my own conclusions, since she has also refrained from communicating with me through email. My experience with Fibo Art's founder, Jasmine, is that she demands constant communication, patience, and respect, but she does not care to give it in return. I wish I could say that I dodged a bullet, but before I accepted this position, I was a full-time nanny and tutor. The truth is, I'm worse off than I was before, since I had to completely drop my clientele in anticipation of filling this role. In nine years of experience working in a variety of different fields, including child care and development, I've NEVER been terminated from a job. This whole experience has left me feeling sick and, truth be told, unsure of what to do next. New hires, BEWARE! Despite any sacrifices you might be willing to make, this is the treatment you can expect to receive under this employer.

The interior is incredibly vibrant and colorful which makes for a very welcoming atmosphere. The instructor Elle brought great energy to the class and was very encouraging to all the attendees. The class moves steadily so you don't feel rushed, and they encourage you to work at your own pace as well as allowing you to be free to make deviations from the painting as you see fit. There's a lot of freedom in what you create which I found to add to the experience as everybody's painting is their own unique piece of art. The staff help clean everything up at the end, assist with photos, answer questions, and let you take your time as you leave in the event you need to add those finishing touches to your masterpiece. Working with clay requires patience, creativity, and real time problem solving, which has been such a wonderful experience for her. I especially love that pottery teaches her to embrace the process rather than expect instant gratification. There's no rushing to a finished product...you have to work through each step, learn from mistakes, and sometimes figure out how to solve a problem when things don't go as planned. It has been so rewarding to watch her challenge herself, develop new skills, and become more confident in her ability to work through frustration and find solutions. These are skills that extend far beyond the studio, and I'm so grateful she has a place where she can develop them while doing something she genuinely enjoys. This was for a public class on a Saturday at around 4:30 PM. The class consisted of 8 people max and seemed to be all couples. All of the equipment was prepared like an apron, clay, pottery wheel, etc. We had an instructor that was very knowledgeable and explained everything from start to finish. Complex technicals were explained in layman's terms. We were given enough clay to create 3 pieces but could keep up to two. The instructor also frequently went around to check everyone's pieces and was able to troubleshoot as needed. It was a fun experience but be very prepared to get your hands dirty! The glazing portion was separate from the class. There was no reservation needed for that so I did it the same day that I went to see the ceramics. For parking, street parking could be hit or miss depending on the time. I'd recommend coming early to have ample time to find parking. Overall, I enjoyed the experience enough. It could have been perfect if the staff here remembered to follow up on when the ceramics were ready for pickup. I am happy with the end result though.
