Very disappointed with both the product quality and the customer service. We bought a squishy toy for my child, and it broke after only about 5 minutes of normal play. We went back to the store immediately and showed them what happened, but they refused to exchange it or offer any solution. For a kids' toy that couldn't even last five minutes, I expected the store to at least stand behind the product. The store looks fun and gets a lot of traffic, but the quality of the squishy toys and the after-sales service were extremely disappointing. Definitely not worth the money. Lots of different sensory beads to choose from. We opted for a clay plus slime mixture plus all the beads you could fit into a cup. The staff here walk each one through the steps of crafting. Terrible quality. Popped a day after we got it. They ask customers to "test" before leaving because all sales are final, but there's no way of telling it's going to be completely popped after playing with it for just a little bit. Don't waste your money on these overpriced squishes. Selling defective products and not allowing customers to return or exchange should be considered fraud and must be reported to regulatory agencies. We drove down from SF to celebrate my nieces' birthdays. One wanted to do rug tufting since she was now old enough! The other wanted to do Decoden. Since we weren't sure of our time, we checked online for openings and saw that they were open & accept walk-ins. Upon arrival, Joshie informed me that she wasn't sure they could take walk-ins for rug tufting since they were currently all assisting in other workshops. Rug tufting is a minimum of 2-3 hours depending on rug sizes. She had me check w/ Mila. Mila was so kind once she heard we came all the way from SF to take the girls to Tutu Fun for their birthday experiences that she told us once they were done with their current clients, they would take us. We only waited about 5 minutes and Joshie started walking us through the whole process. She was very thorough on all the safety precautions, how to properly hold the tufting gun, as well as tips to help the process go smoother by showing us the best position to hold the gun for her height, how to feed the yarn and prevent it from getting tangled or unthreaded, etc. Mila & Joshie also let her do a trial run on a practice canvas just to see if she even liked the feel of the process - which only confirmed her desire for this experience! Both Mila & Joshie constantly checked in with the girls during their projects. We were there for about 4 hours tufting a Small size rug & Decoden lamp. When Elly arrived, she took the Decoden lamp (took pictures - which made my niece even more proud of her piece!) and carefully prepared it for packaging. She boxed it up in a beautiful box for my niece to admire while it takes 2-3 days to fully dry. Joshie was kind enough to finish up trimming the rug immediately after once she saw how excited my niece was to see the finished project after she was done tufting. Really disappointing experience. The store says it closes at 10:00 PM, but when we arrived around 9:00 PM, we were told the line was already closed. There was no announcement or notice online that the line would close an hour early. Everyone in line just to buy the squishy items--not do any crafting. It was supposed to be a quick grab-and-go purchase. If you're going to stop letting customers in an hour before closing, update your hours or let people know before they waste their time driving here. 1) All the store employees except the tall male at the register were literally ignoring customers, not able to answer any questions about the products, and would tell us to "look at the menu" and then the menu did not list every product and its price. 2) The store is so cramped and hard to look at. You cant even test before you buy. and honestly the designs are pretty basic most stuff you could find elsewhere for $5. 3) The price point does NOT match the quality of the product whatsoever. It's just thin cheap ahh rubber with some chemically clay stuff or gel and they're selling them about $14 a piece. They have a policy that the second you walk out the door the product is final sale. I walked out the door opened my squishy and boom there was two small holes. But oh well my loss cant do anything now because they're already prepared for that scenario with the policy because they know their product is that bad. Ive never had to even think a five below squishy would pop once I walked out of the store, so I was thinking a $15 squishy should last me at least a week before any damage showed. Nope. Im also realizing the reason they dont have samples of the squishies on the shelves of the products they are selling is because they know they will break easily. I normally would NEVER spend this much on squishies, but since it was her birthday, I bit the bullet and decided to spoil her a little on her special day. Considering how much I spent, I was honestly expecting much better quality. We bought 9 squishies, and within 5 minutes, we already found a tear in one of them. We took it back, and luckily the staff was nice enough to let us exchange it. Unfortunately, the replacement didn't even make it through the end of the night. By the time we got home, another one had completely torn apart! We also went to our friend's house, and my daughter gave one to her BFF. Within an hour, hers broke too. So out of 9 squishies, we already had multiple break or tear on the SAME DAY. For $160, that's pretty disappointing. I would say save your money. Buy the ones from Five Below or NeeDoh instead. I found Tutu Fun from other creators online and was interested in trying the candle making class, and was not disappointed with the results! Our class was from 4-6:30, but we ended pretty early and picked up our candles about 15-20 minutes later. It took maybe 15-20 minutes per wax layer to cool down, and in between these times, you could make other molds you wanted to put in or on top of your candles. I used one of the medium sized cups and my girlfriend used one of the large sized cups, and we both were able to make our own matcha candles which we love! Our instructor was very helpful in telling us about what to do and what not to do. I'd highly recommend Tutu Fun for anyone around OC looking for a fun date activity! They have way more than just candle making, but this was a fun experience to try as well! read more

I came to TuTu Fun for the first craft experience. I've been to the store for shopping, but never for a craft. My friend and I did the Decoden craft. It was fun and I'm happy with what I made, but I have a couple suggestions of how it could be better. First off, they offer a ton of classes in one space, like candle making, rug tufting, acrylic pouring, beaded jewelry, etc. I think it would be really helpful to book 1 craft per hour or something like that. I found it somewhat overwhelming how many things were going on at once. And, then they would only have to explain how to do that specific craft during that time slot, versus over and over again. The rug tufting is really loud, so it could have been nice to either have light music, or even better to only do that craft during certain hours of the day. Another thing is I don't feel like we got much instruction. The girls who helped us were extremely nice and doing their best, but I felt like they may have also been overwhelmed. It was a busy Saturday and in addition to reservation times, they also allow walk ins. It wasn't a calming environment. I sort of felt like I was at a kid's birthday party (which we may have been). If I ever went again, I'd want to do a rental and have the space to just our group. Lastly, I think the pricing should be adjusted. I think there should be a sign up fee and then the individual items you pay for are sold at a lower price point. I liked that we could choose as many charms as we wanted, but the actual items we had to choose from were extremely overpriced and I think a different structure would help people to understand you're paying more for the space, set up/clean up, then you really are for the specific item. Overall it was fun, but I do personally believe there needs to be a bit more organization from the top. Again, all the staff who helped us were extremely kind and doing their best. read more

Had a great time taking my Valentine here! Loved the DIY and how unique rug tufting was! They give you a brief tutorial on how to rug tufting is and then you get right into creating your own unique rug. I did wish they gave a bit of a better tutorial, but overall, would def come here again. I do suggest that if this is your first time, do not do XL because it'll be one hell of a workout. If you do decide to do the XL rug, be sure to have a partner with you so if you get tired, you have someone take over. read more

My daughter spent $21 of her own money on a squishy toy, and it literally popped the moment she stepped outside the store. We immediately went back inside, expecting them to stand behind the products they sell. Instead, the employee refused to exchange it or issue a refund. If a toy breaks within minutes of purchase, that's a defective product. A business that refuses to make it right is choosing profit over basic customer service--especially when the customer is a child who spent her own money. Selling low-quality products is one thing. Such a fun activity in a great location! For my lovely boyfriend's birthday, I surprised him with a session at Tutufun. We have never tufted rugs before, so this was a great new experience together :) The workers were super helpful and nice. They walked us through how to use the tufting gun and we practiced before getting to the rug. It was easy to project our image onto the canvas, and then we were off!! It took around 3 hours of nonstop tufting for a Small rug. It was definitely an arm workout! But so fun. It was a little toasty in there though, so dress accordingly. i've come here on two separate occasions: once to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday by helping him make a rug and another to celebrate mine by making a candle. both experiences were so fun! the staff has always been very polite and clear in their instructions and suggestions for your selected project. for the rug tufting, they allow you to practice on a canvas in the back of the workshop so you can learn how to use the tool before you start on the actual rug. for making a candle, you have a variety of selections in the types of candles you can make, which i had not expected--wax, jelly, etc--and themes that can go along with what you're selecting. i made a cocktail candle, and it was so much fun getting to select the scents and "garnishes" for the decorations. both experiences were so memorable. i'm not typically a crafty person, but i would happily go back! read more

Tutu Fun is indeed Too Too Fun. My sisters, girls, and I visited for some family time. We spent two hours decorating picture frames, mirrors, and hair clips with cute and cheesy little charms. Everyone was very creative. My design was kinda boring compared to everyone else but it was fun all the same. They also have rug tufting which we will come back and try. This is located in the Irvine Spectrum. The store is a bit deceiving. If you walk in, you would not immediately know what it is or its purpose. At least I didn't since my sister hosted and she did not tell me anything about what we were doing. Plenty of parking. The service is good. Please come and create your own adventure. read more

The person teaching us, Ken, was attentive and helpful in getting the desired results.
