My daughters planned a great day for me for Mother's Day and The Escape Game in Irvine was part of it! We did the Depths game and we finished with 3 minutes to spare! It took some thinking on our part but with 6 great minds we were successful in escaping the Depths! We will definitely be back to try a different game since we had so much fun ! These games seem to be more suitable for adults or older teens as it would be too difficult for younger kids but it is a lot of fun !!

Had a blast at this escape room! We had a reservation for a group of 6 people and we signed waivers prior to check in and everything went smoothly. We played the special ops: mysterious market which had a 8/10 difficulty. It was one of the harder difficulties they have. They also have the heist which is also 8/10 difficulty and then they have prison break with the highest difficulty of 9/10. Our group will be back to try the prison break! The props and decor were top notch! Was pleasantly surprised. The walls a slightly thin, so we could hear other groups, but it wasn't too big of a deal as we were focused on our own game. We got out with a little over 4min left on the timer using 0 hints! Asan was our game master and he was great! Highly recommend asking for him! Will be back for more soon.

My son wanted to do an escape room for his 13th birthday, so we booked The Escape Game for his party of 8. They had a blast and escaped with 6 minutes to spare! What really impressed us was that they gave my son a goodie bag of sorts with a pin, t-shirt, Minecraft water bottle, and some other things. They even gave him a birthday card that had handwritten messages by each of the staff!! It's thoughtful gestures like these that really make an impact and won't be forgotten! Thank you, Escape Game Irvine, for making my son's 13th birthday such a special one. :)

We did The Heist and solved it with 4 mins to spare and lots of help with the unlimited hints. It's ~$47 per person. Depending on the game you can play with max 8 or 12 ppl. They also have different levels of difficulty. I believe The Heist is an 8/10. The rating fits. It was pretty difficult and there's no way we could've done it without the hints. Our only complaint is that it was small in there. It would be interesting to try the others and wonder if the games change regularly.

First, let me give a major shout out to Chelsea! Her and her service dog, Jazz were fantastic guides. I'm excited to say that my group Escaped the Playground without any official hints! We had about 6 minutes to spare, but it was a close call. This room was actually more challenging than I anticipated. My only negative is that this room is open to 12 people and if your group doesn't fill it, they'll add strangers (which happened). Our group was 5 and they were a family of 6, I believe. They thankfully were a great group, but it felt like a lot of people for two small rooms. And, the rooms weren't linear, so it got really confusing with so many different people and somewhat poor communication since there was a bit of awkwardness not knowing each other. But, at the end, it was a really fun time and we all worked together to escape! Can't wait to try more rooms soon.

We were trying to find something to do after Christmas Day and found this place and thought it will be fun for the whole family. We made our reservation online. They do have different themes and level of difficulty to choose from. We chose prison break bc the photos looked cool! We went to check in early and everyone in your party needs to sign a waiver before the game. Then we got led to the game room and the staff explained to us how everything worked. I don't want to spoil too much but we had a fun time for an hour trying to look for clues and solving problems as a team; everyone contributed to the game in order to go us escaped!

My wife and I just finished the final puzzle that The Escape Game has to offer. The experiences we've shared with both her parents and our 6 year old will be forever cherished. Our GM For today was Chelsea for both The Depths and Special Ops: Mysterious Market. Chelsea offered a few nudges to keep things on track but was very clearly in tune with how we were working through the rooms. We also had Chelsea for our first Escape Game experience which was The Playground on 8/4/25. It was an equally enjoyable experience where Chelsea was able to keep our Daughter(5 at the time) Engaged and meaningfully contributing towards the room. The staff here have consistently been super helpful, professional, and when you ask for a hint, you get a hint, not a spoiler which is super great. The only issue I ever had(which was not TEG's fault) was having Prison Break ruined by a Party of 3 who jumped in with our party of 5. The issues were all fully rectified by TEG's customer service and we cannot thank them enough. If I had to rank all of our TEG Experiences (Prison break intentionally left out) 1) Timeliner 2) Cosmic Crisis 3) Playground 4) Gold Rush(Wife and I Disagree on this one) 5) Depths 6) Special Ops 7) Heist Keep in mind we enjoyed all the games and have zero regrets, every room has its nuances. We fully intend to venture down to San Diego to do the ruins sometime in the Near future, but were happy to get our wall of fame pins and get our names on the wall!

If you're looking for a great group activity, this is it. The atmosphere is top-notch, mostly thanks to the enthusiastic staff who set the tone perfectly. We played with some other customers and had a seamless experience solving the puzzles together. It was fun, challenging, and a total rush.

My colleagues and I did the Heist room at The Escape Game in Irvine, and wow...this one does not play around. It was tricky, twisty, and had us second-guessing everything (we shamelessly used about eight hints, no regrets ). We pulled it off with three minutes left. The whole vibe reminded me of playing Myst back in the '90s...immersive, a little mysterious, and full of "wait... hold on... OMG I GET IT" moments. Such a fun team experience and one of the most clever escape rooms I've done. Highly recommend! ‍

My friends and I came here for my birthday! We were paired with a father/daughter duo in The Heist and we had so much fun. The employee Tanner was so lighthearted and friendly. All of the employees signed a birthday card for me and gave me a crown. Truly an amazing experience and I can't wait to come here again

We played two rooms here, one called Playground and the other one called Prison Break. Playground is designed for up to 12 people. If you go on a weekend, the owner usually puts multiple groups together to fill the room, so you'll probably end up playing with strangers. It's a great room if you enjoy teamwork and don't mind working with people you just met. The setup is fun and fits the theme really well. It feels like being back in elementary school, with everyone tackling different subjects like classmates. The puzzles aren't super hard, but they're thoughtful and really match each school subject. The biggest challenge is communication, especially with so many people in one room. Luckily, our group was super cooperative and worked together really well. Prison Break was the second room we did, and I really loved it. The puzzles were creative and kept coming one after another. It's definitely more challenging than it looks at first, and there's a lot more to do than you might expect. TIME FLIES in that room, so it's really important to plan ahead and stay focused. Also want to give a big shoutout to EM. She was super nice and patient, especially during Prison Break when we had a million questions. Her help definitely made the experience smoother and more enjoyable.

We completed the Special Ops scape room today and it was amazing. Our host Hamilton was amazing and had the best personality. We walked us thru everything and super friendly. Would definitely book to have him be our host again. If you're looking for something fun to do with your friends this is definitely recommended and book with Hamilton.

Wonderful range of room options to choose from. Each is challenging in their own way. Employees are enthusiastic and super helpful when needed. Shoutout to Dylan and Michael they totally enhanced the experience and were so kind!!! Highly recommend trying this out with a group of friends.

What are you putting groups with strangers ? Having that messes with the flow of the games 😕

We booked the entire room for an extra charge. Well worth a few dollars. We had a group of five.

Is there a place to store bags/purses while in a game?

Yes they have a spot in the room to place your items. In the first room we did it had a basket on the floor we could place our stuff.

    Is it for all ages?

Yes, but 14 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. 4 and younger play free.

She didn't rush us out at all (as some escape room places do), she was extremely patient and kind, and she went over all of the clues that we didn't get to solve when our timer ended. My boyfriend and I spontaneously booked "The Doghouse" and I believe I spoke with her on the phone as well before booking and she was just as sweet as she was in person. I absolutely loved the creativity and complexity of the puzzles and the room/props were of high quality (and not old or overused like some places, lol). Her customer service was definitely top notch - my boyfriend definitely made sure to tip her, lol. Will definitely be back again to solve another room soon!!! We have had Hijinx at Joffre Manor at Nerdy by Nature Escape Rooms on our to-do list for a while…read more We finally went and did it with another couple. This is a Scooby-Doo inspired escape room with a secondary "whodunit" murder theme. We were greeted by our game-master Theresa who was very friendly and energetic. I won't give it away, but this room has one of the coolest starts. It has to do with how and where you watch the introductory video before beginning the actual room. We all loved it and it sets up the adventure perfectly. Everybody gets a flashlight for the first part which is dimly lit but not dark. The garden area in front of the manor and the interior are both decorated in an amazingly immersive way. The interior is not a physically large space, but it feels huge. They did a great job of putting a lot of different areas, rooms, and floors in an area that is not big as it seems. There is a great variety of puzzle types including locks, keys, mechanical puzzles, physical puzzles, and some other unique puzzles. Various sound effects play in the background, and a chime goes off every 15 minutes to help you keep track of time. At least one person in your group will have to do some stair climbing in more than one place, and do one other light physical activity. A group of four was perfect for this room. We are all pretty experienced, and split up at times. The puzzles are not overly difficult, but there are a lot. Everything flowed very well, and we all got into a great grove. For the first time in a while, we didn't need any clues and finished with twelve minutes left. Once you've solved all the puzzles and gathered all the clues about who the murderer is, you have to identify which of the three suspects it is to finally escape. You can make multiple guesses, and it was a good final brain teaser to complete an excellent room. We had a lot of fun doing this one, and it was definitely one of our favorites out of the nearly 60 escape rooms we've done. They have one other easier pirate themed room, and a third room is set to open soon.

The game guides and staff were very friendly and fun and really sold the whole experience! I'd say that while the use of the space was creative, it definitely made the place feel very cramped. The scale change from downstairs to upstairs rooms was rough and the slide left most of my party pointing at me to make the plunge. If something could be changed it would be the reality and conclusion. I think playing a little more into a realistic whodunnit instead of a campy goofy one would add more desire to reach a correct outcome which by the end I was just saying names because nothing really stood out as THE answer.

Games range from laser, floor tile, basketball, and more. When it is very busy you can put your name on the queue until the current group finishes. Some of the games were very short when it got really busy, basically like 30 seconds so not really a game at all before we had to exit the room. The rooms also don't have an easy way to tell if it's occupied so you have to peak into a dark room to see if there are shadows of people inside. I would've preferred a light that signifies that it's occupied so it's easier to tell. The games also start immediately after you enter the room and the game instructions aren't always clear. It's similar to recently-opened Hijinx Hotel in Irvine in that each of the rooms has a different objective and you work with your team to achieve it. I think I prefer Hijinx Hotel more because their games are funner and the experience is better, but this is still a fun and family-friendly event.
