We did the Depths room with just two of us. The employees were friendly and helpful, the establishment was clean, the room was well-designed and all puzzles worked, there were very few red herrings, and even though we asked for 3 hints, I felt like the puzzles were very logical and we could have figured them out if we were less anxious and gave ourselves a bit more time to observe things in the room more closely. It's a bit pricey compared to other escape games in the area, but the location and quality are both top notch! read more

My first time at this escape room, though I've been to several within the area. My girlfriend set it up and made reservations ahead of time for our party of 8. Unfortunately last minute on the day of, one of our friends fell sick and couldn't join and they were very understand and accommodating. It is about $47/person and depending on the rooms, can accommodate 8-12 people with different level of difficulties. Our room was The Legend of the Yeti at a level 8/10 difficulty. The level of difficulty felt appropriate and we all had so much fun. Hints are unlimited with no penalties but we try to limit asking for so many hints. Our group escaped with less than 2 minutes to spare! It was a great activity to do during a rainy Sunday afternoon and suitable for most age groups. Would def come back to try the other rooms and recommend to others. read more

We experienced The Escape Room for our friends' birthday and it was incredibly fun! Sophia checked us in and was very accommodating for our party. We did the prison break room (rated 9/10), and it was immersive, well decorated and the puzzles were challenging, without being too difficult. Jack was our game/hunt master for our escape room. We came to The Escape Game Irvine last minute and we don't regret it. We loved it so much we played a second time, and bought gift cards for the future. We did "The heist" and "The depths" we were surrounded by a wonderful group of employees who were friendly and made the night fun. We did them both with only 2 people, and one was a 13 years old boy. The "depths" one was harder due to needing more people to help. They said we did great for two people but recommended 4 people. Which we didn't know, or I would have picked a different room. Finally completed the full lineup here after finishing Yeti. Across every room, the quality and consistency have been impressive. The themes are immersive, the puzzles are intuitive without feeling overly guided, the mechanics function smoothly, and everything is well maintained. The staff are welcoming and genuinely enthusiastic about the games and you can tell are escape room enthusiasts themselves. Had a blast at this escape room! We had a reservation for a group of 6 people and we signed waivers prior to check in and everything went smoothly. We played the special ops: mysterious market which had a 8/10 difficulty. It was one of the harder difficulties they have. They also have the heist which is also 8/10 difficulty and then they have prison break with the highest difficulty of 9/10. Our group will be back to try the prison break! The props and decor were top notch! Was pleasantly surprised. The walls a slightly thin, so we could hear other groups, but it wasn't too big of a deal as we were focused on our own game. We got out with a little over 4min left on the timer using 0 hints! Asan was our game master and he was great! Highly recommend asking for him! Will be back for more soon. read more

It took some thinking on our part but with 6 great minds we were successful in escaping the Depths! We will definitely be back to try a different game since we had so much fun ! Ahhh can't rave enough about this escape room!!! Hands down the best best besttttt escape room experience! Especially for big kids. My son and his friends aged 11-12 had the most amazing time here at the Playground room. Such a creative and fun theme (not scary, creepy or rundown like some of those escape rooms out there) and it was such a bright, fun experience for them! LOVED the Escape Game so much, we went 3 times already!! I first took both my kids to the Playground, and that was super cute (and our favorite one!). First, let me give a major shout out to Chelsea! Her and her service dog, Jazz were fantastic guides. I'm excited to say that my group Escaped the Playground without any official hints! We had about 6 minutes to spare, but it was a close call. This room was actually more challenging than I anticipated. My only negative is that this room is open to 12 people and if your group doesn't fill it, they'll add strangers (which happened). Our group was 5 and they were a family of 6, I believe. They thankfully were a great group, but it felt like a lot of people for two small rooms. And, the rooms weren't linear, so it got really confusing with so many different people and somewhat poor communication since there was a bit of awkwardness not knowing each other. But, at the end, it was a really fun time and we all worked together to escape! Can't wait to try more rooms soon. read more
