I am completely obsessed with Activate! I was seeing videos online and was fearful it was just online hype or good marketing tactics, however it was even better than expected! I highly suggest you book ahead, as they sell out often. Once arrived, we checked in, got assigned a locker for our valuables, got our activate wristbands that are needed to create a profile, earn points and play games. Nick showed us around and gave us the rules. There are multiple activity rooms and each one is equally as cool and unique! Every room has multiple versions of a game, including team games and competition. It felt like the possibilities were endless. We booked 1 hour, and while it did feel like enough time, I wanted more and cannot wait to come back! They have prizes you can win and even a league with worldwide tournaments. I also loved the photo area (just wish it wasn't near the bathroom). 2 things that would be a nice bonus is a little cooler AC and hand sanitizer after the rooms. People get pretty sweaty and it would be great to have sanitizing stations!

I did not expect myself to have this much fun. There are SO many rooms to choose from, all of which require different skills -- mobility, intelligence, accuracy, speed, and agility. My favorite rooms were the mega grid and mega laser. I believe my group tried all but one and those were the ones we continuously went back to. We went as a group of four but you can have up to five which is definitely more efficient for select games. They have lockers where you can keep all your belongings and they give you a wristband to keep track of your stats and scan to play games. I'd recommend making a reservation in advance, especially if you're trying to book on the weekends.

Mini-adventure mission: successful. I invited two friends to Activate after reading Yelp reviews, with one instruction: show up in activewear and trust me. We had a very limited idea of what we signed up for, and it ended up being one of the most fun friend hangouts I've had in a long time. We're big kids with bills, but this place had us laughing and moving nonstop, and I think kids around 10+ would love it too. Shoutout to Annalie for making check-in easy, and Ben for the tour. You can tell Ben genuinely loves his job. He was fun, interactive, and super clear on how everything works, which made it easy to jump in. There are over a dozen game rooms with different modes. You level up as you win, rack up points, and can trade them in for prizes at the end. The standout for me was the meteor game where you throw bags at the screens, and the red warning lights start blinking when the meteor gets too close. Miss it and it's game over. I was obsessed. Pro tips: * Best with 3 to 5 people (bigger groups may need to split up). * Wear activewear or something you can move in. * I went Friday around 2 PM and it wasn't crowded, but weekends sound packed, including parking. I can't wait to go back.

Ideally, I'd go here with my friends on a weekday before dinner but Saturday after lunch worked better for our schedules. Reserve ahead of time if you have a big party to avoid wait times. Angel explained the rules and walked us down the first hallway. They only allow 5 people max per room but each game is about 1-2 min. As of Jan 2026, it's 30$ per person for 60 min. Hope prices don't skyrocket as the months go on. My group of 7 split into a group of 4 and a group of 3 and just rotated depending on our energy levels. Everyone wears wristbands that keep track of your points and you just scan it when you want to join a game. There were tons of children running around so it was chaotic but expected as it's a weekend. Also some rooms smelled like maple syrup.. Who is eating pancakes at 4 pm?! We probably got to try 80% of the games. We had our favorites and kept going back to it. My personal favs: Grid and Hide. Each game has 4-5 mini games you can choose on the screen and difficulty levels (up to 10) go up the more you play. Great way to get some cardio in and play in a futuristic setting! Will drag more of my friends back here to get our CARDIO on.

I went with my lady, brother, and sister-in-law. Coming in I could feel the youth as a 27 year old man walking into an establishment with mostly children lol. But I was glad that it didn't matter the age, that this place is for everyone. We had a great time playing their assortment of games. I only wish we had more time to be honest. Some caveats are that some people will cut you in lines if you're not paying attention, and the hallways could be cramped. We all thought there could be better AC/ventilation, wider hallways, and more game rooms but they're working with what they have. Make sure you don't wear warm clothing like we did and expect a fun workout. 10/10 recommend

Very fun games to do with group of family and friends! Plenty of different games and as you pass each level, you can try it again for more points at a higher difficulty! It was very fun, have to be strategic for some, and there is a cool little leaderboard for the competitive-minded people

Cool of them to allow 1 last game when you have 0:00 time left. ;) _ We 10/15.

Huzzah! Alice in Borderland? Squid Game? Grab your gaming wristbands, cuz you're in for a heart-pounding time! I love Activate. It's a dream come true. Spectacular action-packed experience with friends guaranteed to challenge the body & mind. - A few of the gamerooms were not A/C'ed. Humid in there running around and perspiring. - The badges need to be more attainable, and the clues need to be more informative. - Too bad the 60/90mins continues counting even if you take a water/restroom break. - Almost all the games are centered around multiplayers. No 1-player games. . Expensive without discounts. . Unlike the Culver City location, at this one, the restroom is located inside the games hall. + Free, plentiful parking.

First time visiting this place and it was awesome. Some of our friend group had recommended this place and we all went together. It's definitely a workout kind of activity. So wear an outfit you don't mind running and sweating in! A good place for friends to get together and get in a good workout. I definitely recommend!

Activate in Tustin is honestly such a fun spot. It feels like a video game mixed with an escape room vibe. I think you need at least 2 people to play and honestly the more the better. Some rooms are co-op where you have to work together and others put you head to head which makes it way more competitive and hilarious. The laser room was my favorite. Felt like Mission Impossible but with way more laughing and way less smooth moves lol. Sneakers are a must because you'll be running, jumping, and trying not to embarrass yourself. Staff was super chill, explained everything, and the place is spotless. We did the one hour session and it flew by. We walked out sweaty, tired, and already planning round two Definitely recommend if you're looking for something different to do with friends or even a fun date night :)

Activate is located inside Tustin District and so there's a good amount of parking. It's their opening weekend and so they had a $5 per person deal for an hour game. We had a group of 8 people, but each room is 2-5 people so we split up and swapped around. Upon arrival, you receive a wristband that you register to the email you signed with the waiver. They give you a wristband that connects to the room you want to plan the game in. They also give a wristband for the group for a locker where you can keep your stuff. There's a ton of different rooms with a good amount of different games. They're co-op games as well as competitive. My groups favorite was the mega grid and mega laser. Each room screen tells you the objective of the game but I found it a bit confusing. If there's another group inside, you have to wait until they're done. Most of the games were around 1-2 minute long so it went by really quick. We were able to go around to the different rooms a get a ton of different games in! I did find that it did get crowded and a bit confusing. It's opening weekend but some of the screens and games weren't working. The workers also seemed a bit frazzled with the crowd and we had to wait at the end to even turn in the wristbands. After two to three games, my friends and I were super hot and sweaty and it didn't seem they had AC blowing hard so it heat up really fast. They also didn't allow us to bring water inside and their only water fountains. Weren't working so we were dehydrated from all the running! It was overall a really cool experience!! They have leagues where you can get points to redeem prizes. Their normal price is $30 for hour play per person.

Ask the Community - Activate Tustin

Will 14 year-old girls enjoy this?

Probably. I would say most people would enjoy this other than small children and inactive people.

What is the appropriate age for this place?

We took our 6 year old and he had fun, but struggled with some of the games. I'd say might be better for 8 years up unless you have a really athletic kid.

We began with the Aji tuna on crispy rice, topped with a delicate sliver of jalapeño and crispy shallots, a perfect balance of freshness, spice, and crunch. The second course was Stefanie's famous focaccia...one sweet and one savory. The savory version featured parmesan, her homemade bread and butter, pickles from her garden, and a touch of mustard seed. The bread, made simply with flour, water, and salt, takes two to three days to create. The sweet focaccia was equally impressive, topped with brie, honey, and a guava jam made from her own garden-grown guavas... truly special. Next came the sweet potato course, made from her garden's harvest and paired with roasted pine nuts and coconut-shaved gnocchi in brown butter. The flavors were rich yet comforting, and the presentation was artistic and thoughtful. The main course... short ribs with a stunning potato gratin, was a showstopper. The short ribs were tender and deeply flavorful, garnished with delicate edible flowers from her garden, while the gratin was layered beautifully and topped with a fragrant chimichurri. Dessert was one of the best I've ever had: a sticky toffee date cake with a caramel apple sauce made from apples in her garden, served with raw cream vanilla bean ice cream.
