My first archery lesson! Popped the balloon! :D highly recommend Mr. Vince as instructor of choice

My first archery lesson on a recurve bow was so awesome! Mr.Vince led the session with a lot of structure, humor, patience, in-depth knowledge, and was super personable. He gave really useful critiques to help with form and understanding body awareness, but also made it super fun and easy-going! All-around fantastic experience and was beyond my expectations. Also, Trisha at the front desk was really nice and welcoming, such cool people. Highly recommended and super happy to review this on my own accord. :D

Make sure you call during business hours to make a reservation as they do not accept any other type of reservation. We signed up for one of their classes and it was a great experience! It was $25 per person for an hour lesson, including rentals. We had 6 people in the class and the instructor was hilarious as well as very accommodating to everyone in the class. Would 100% recommend this experience for anyone and everyone! Just to note though, besides my partner and I the rest of the class was all children. This wasn't an issue, just an fyi of to be pg in language more for myself LOL.

had an awesome time at Orange County archery! Went with a few friends and the price was extremely reasonable. The instructors gave great advice and showed us the proper form. They also have bows and other accessories for sale.

Great spot to visit as a beginner archery enthusiast. They offer classes and open shoot options that include equipment. This location offers both recurve and compound bows, along with the appropriate arrows. The staff and instructors are extremely nice, welcoming and patient when it comes to correcting form. I felt safe as well when it came to open shoot with others. I would highly recommend making a reservation instead of a walk-in. Reservations cannot be made online but are accepted through phone.

Want to get your Legolas or Tauriel on without the pointy elf ears? Then OC Archery is the place for you! We had heard good things about this place and my daughter wanted to go there for her birthday so I was able to book five lanes for our family plus friend. Talked to Kay on the phone who explained everything and made a reservation for us. I did prepay to guarantee our spots but she suggested buying a punch card since it would save money. I always appreciate when a business does not try to upsell you. (Thanks Kay!) As we don't have our own equipment we needed to rent it all which was not a problem. When we arrived we were checked in and then sized and fitted for equipment. Kay provided thorough instruction and even gave us tips and coached us as she watched us shoot our first couple of rounds. I highly recommend this place for a night of fun for the whole family!

Amazingly helpful staff when I showed up to get my bow restrung. Highly recommended. And they will be my go-to in the future.

The taxidermy is beautiful, and I had no idea they would actually have live fish inside their building. It's a remarkable establishment. It felt like a football field inside. This is definitely THE place for outdoor enthusiasts and folks who fish, hunt, camp, and so on. They have BOGO 40% Costa sunglasses. I ended up getting a 3-piece utility box crate. Customer service was standard, but I was mostly taken away by the beauty of nature, and of course, I had to donate to the conservation fund. Internally it has a very high ceiling and a large selection of items to look at. They also had some taxidermied animals which were cute and an aquarium with some freshwater fish in it. The other members of my party were not impressed. Despite needing to only shop for one item we kept getting hounded by irrelevant sales pitches for items we did not need, including vacations. They did not have what we needed in stock so we left without buying anything. Not surprisingly this just resulted in the other members of my party asking to borrow my clothes. It would have been nice if it was in stock here. I might come back if I want a plushie. They had a North American animal I liked in the relatively large plushie section, but the other members of my party were not impressed with.

It is generally clean, bright, and well organized, with plenty of sections to wander through and browse. That said, nothing here is really cheap. There are a lot of interesting and useful products, but the prices are high enough that I constantly find myself hunting for clearance items. It would be very easy to blow through a one thousand dollar gift card in a single visit. Thankfully, the local 20 percent off coupons help make purchases feel more reasonable. The staff appears to be made up mostly of high school and college age employees, and that shows in the customer service. It is not bad, just very young and a bit unpolished. Most employees seem concentrated in the shoe section or working the front registers, with limited presence elsewhere on the floor. The running shoe selection for adults is a definite plus, with plenty of options to choose from. Overall, it is not a terrible experience, but it is not a great one either. I will continue to shop here because it is one of the few places that reliably carries sporting goods, but it is more of a necessity than a destination.

The order was confused with an order for a baseball bat (their other business). 2nd. April 12, I received the baseball bat. I called. Debbie replied, saying this happens often and asked me to FedEx the bat to its intended recipient, using my own FedEx account. Debbie said she would have FedEx re-route to me. Debbie says she would have $14 credited to my VISA account. Debbie says she can't give me a tracking number for the package with the stuff I bought. 3rd. April 17. Debbie calls to say FedEx delivered my archery stuff to Vanessa. That FedEx would pick up my archery stuff April 18 and deliver to me here. Today Debbie & Fred say shipment confusion never happens. I am wondering: why I had to use my own FedEx account to send the bat to its buyer in Virginia. [as an aside, why the *^%# didn't I just say NO?] Why I cannot get a tracking number for the box with my stuff. Why my stuff had to go to Virginia before it comes to me in Washington state & why FS Archery couldn't reship a package from Tustin to me here. Why Debbie should tell me that she has four telephone lines flashing while I'm talking to her. Whether my order would have been treated differently if the order total was for $1000 rather than just $55. How calling me with an apology gets my gear to me any faster. Where I'll be placing my next order for arrow shafts. Whether I'll be commending FS Discount Archery to my shooting friends. Why on April 12, Debbie says confusion of shipments was common and today she & Fred say it isn't. A check on the web shows a mixed record for FS Discount Archery. Seems more people like their competition.

As soon as i walked in though, the store itself left a lasting impression. There was a noticable reek, reminiscent of rotten eggs and fire, almost as if some rotten eggs were set on fire. Which turned out to be a right assumption, as there were two 10-13 year olds using a bow's string to light the wood of another bow on fire and burn some hardboiled, rotten eggs they had on them. They were quickly escorted out of the building by a young ... lets just say a young individual. He didn't look like he would like me to assume his gender so easily. After he had thrown out the kids, the young individual asked me if he could help me, so i told him what i wanted: a new composite bow for target practice. He recommended me a bow from a brand i've never heard from before, something along the lines of Hood Archery, and it was super cheap! Like, really really cheap for the type of bow i was looking at! Red flags left and right, but i didn't suspect much yet. I was hellbent on getting this bow but i also had this little voice in the back of my head thinking that it was too good to be true. I secretly checked reviews of this shady company and found out that they were a chinese company known to sell refurbished bows, so i was very lucky i wasn't buying something that was going to break after using it once or twice. I changed my mind and went for one of the more expensive mainstream options instead, so i picked it up and walked over to the counter. Wierdly enough, the counter wasn't so much as a register or even a table, it was more of a small wall-mounted rack with a bit of spare change. I gave him the bow, he checked the price tag and demanded my money. As he did, i noticed that there was a door to the back room with a computer and some elongated life-sized pillows with cartoon characters on them, also a computer that had obviously just been left to serve a costumer, presumably me, which would also explain why the young person didn't notice the kids. I was about to buy, when the person slipped on a rotten egg and dropped the bow. The latter was the least of my worries, because that's when the biggest shock of this year happened: This young degenerate gets up, and what in tarnation do i see ? Spaghetti falls out of his pockets. Disgusted by the sight, i told him to take his cartoon pillows and go back to watching cartoons. Angrily leaving the store, he shouted something after me along the lines of "his name is girito!" Disappointed, would sincerely have expected to be treated like a costumer, not like an addict.
