Lake Forest Sports Park...this place is HUGE and has so many fields for all kinds of sports…read moreincluding some basketball courts outside and inside the building. Plenty of restrooms throughout and has more than one playground for your little ones. There is plenty of parking available although when a special event like a dog expo comes around, it's a bit harder to find anything. The main/large playground is the one next to the recreation building. There is a section for older kids and off to the side is one for the younger tots. Behind this building are a couple outdoor basketball hoops. LFSP has plenty of tables available for parties or just for sitting around. On Wednesdays from 4-8pm is a small farmers market. We like going when they're there. We buy some tamales and Mediterranean dip while the kids go to the playground for a while. We will sometimes even have the food from there for dinner while they play and burn some energy. This park is very large and it's amazing! I'm so happy to live so close so we can take our little ones whenever we want. We look forward to the events at this place. It's a fun park to go as a family.

Well, it was full of 20 something's and conducive to my age group at all. I did cue in for 1 game and was partnered with a young guy who seemed to think Pickelball was smash ball. He had no idea about the nuances of the game or the rules for that matter. Not trying to be a snob here. If you like playing fast and hard, this may be the place for you. The courts are nice, but it's definitely not a place for the older crowd. I found my type of crowd and style of play at Laguna Niguel regional park.

Montanoso has a few classes and a good mix of machines as well as free weight stations. They have free swim which is great for my husband who loves doing laps early in the morning. We also enjoy going to swim in the afternoon with our girls. I do wish free swim hours applied for kids in the morning during summer time. There's also a cute little splash pad for the kids to play in which I love. Overall, montanoso provides great value for the price. I also love that there's no monthly commitment.

My experience at Montanoso was different than at other gyms because the other members were all so friendly. I personally needed to practice at a gym with a pool and enjoyed doing it at Montanoso Recreation Center.

The "this" she was referring to was the unmitigated disaster that was the rideshare situation in Parking Lot 4. Drop off was fine, but the parking lot pick up procedure was both confusing, frustrating and a complete debacle. Keep in mind there were 45,000 attendees at least a third of whom probably booked a rideshare. Not only did police and event staff block off entry completely around 11:00PM (the show ended at 10:00PM) we were redirected to another parking lot supposedly letting drivers in (but didn't end up doing so) leaving people completely stranded to fend for themselves for their way home. Nobody seemed to have any idea what was going on or who had accurate information. You were completely out of luck if your phone died. Lord knows how you'd manage to get home. Our party didn't end up getting home until 1:30AM, 3.5 hours after the event ended. My guess is there's probably some kind of bizarre city ordinance that requires event spaces/parking lots close to residential homes to close at certain hours which is why they forced everyone out of Parking Lot 4 before anyone actually got picked up. I know this is the first year this music festival was held here and the space isn't properly prepared for traffic this size but this was completely unacceptable and avoidable. Shuttles and parking closer to the event were both pricy and sold out so for some folks the only reasonable alternative was a rideshare. What was otherwise an enjoyable space gave people a terrible impression and a bad taste in their mouths not to return to a place so poorly equipped to handle transport. If you're going to hold huge events like this, sort out the rideshare situation after the event or not do them at all at Irvine Great Park.

It was really peacefully today when I strode through the park. The grass field is well maintained with some flowers adding color to the scene. I heard quite a few birds chirping, adding the sound effects. There is a small playground and a volleyball court open to the public. The tennis courts and pool/spa are only open to members of the Serrano Park Community Association's members and guests. Beware there is no bench in the park to rest your legs. There is no facility on site either. So plan your outings accordingly.

First time visiting this trail / loop There are multiple…read moreentrances to the loop Street or residential parking Look out for signs with designated street parking signs or resident parking only If parking across chaparral park there are stairs that lead to trail head once on the top or another pathway to the right that another start to the trail There is another entrance off Concordia with street parking (no parking between 9pm to 6am) and a little sign that says turtle rock Trail overlooks the city - greenery and fields can be seen Definetly bring a hat and water and wear sturdy shoes because it's a combination of flat up down rocky hills Wear long pants as some pathways are narrow Overgrown brush / branches / bushes Appears to be dog friendly trail Watch out for various forms of number 2 No bathrooms available All trail helpful to ensure following the loop as it does take you through some residential area and some pathways branch off into a left or right or curvy direction Enjoy and start early if you can to beat the heat. 4 miles at least pending route taken and took 1.5 to 2 hours to complete Have fun!

Sweet, hidden relaxing little park to come and take a stroll. There is a nice meandering walking…read morepath that goes around a one acre pond, which is perfect to bring my Mom for a nice walk since it's a shorter distance around the park vs the 1-mile walk around the Rancho Santa Margarita Lake. I love that there are a few water fowl families that live at this park, although the pathways closer to the water can get a bit dirty with all the poop bombs that the geese leave. It seems like the City and County takes care of the mess every so often because there are times that I have come here and the sidewalks look almost spotless and other times not so much. It is quite peaceful hearing the water from the water features and the quacks of the ducks on your stroll as it is a little off the beaten path with only neighboring locals really coming here. Our dogs enjoy coming here as well as there are always lots of new smells to encounter. We will be back!

My son uses the larger one on Montanoso (SP?) and he favors that that due a larger variety of machines. At La Sierra , the weight machines are new, and there are free weights. Duplicate bikes, stair climbers, and tread mills round out the equipment. If you like classes, those are available at the Montanoso facility. A nicely kept patio is adjacent pluse a large pool, with cabanas and table seating. Pickle ball courts are available as well. The amenities are well worth more than the $30.00 monthly fee I pay. (Retired, so maybe that's why it's so low?) Check it out.

We visited the Sierra rec center pool on Father's Day, 2026. The lifeguards made the swimming experience very annoying and unpleasant. We had called earlier and the receptionist said they had a water slide. When we arrived, we found 2 lifeguards standing around chatting while no more than 10 people swam in a tiny little cordoned off "rec swim" area while one of the 10 swam laps and essentially had 85% of the gigantic pool to himself. One of the lifeguards (a shorter portly gentleman, dungeons and dragons type) said the slide is closed Sunday because they didn't have the staff to man it...he said this as lifeguard 2 decided to join in our conversation because he had nothing else to do. Then we learn that even if we are with our kids, they can't get in the hot tub....ok. We were there a total of 2 hours and the dungeons and dragons lifeguard came to talk to us 4 times about any number of petty little issues - none of which amounted to safety issues. Then they kicked everyone out 15 minutes early so they could go home. D & D lifeguard said they closed early so people had the chance to "use the showers"...I'm sure it would be a huge deal for these people to have to stay until 5:05-5:10...this place is lame, we will tell everyone we know and we won't be back.
