My fiancé and I came to Legacy Escape Room for a date night at 10:30 PM on a Friday because we saw they have the Jason Friday the 13th escape room. We are obsessed with horror films, especially Jason, so we were so excited to book this. Noah was our guide and he was incredible, friendly, energetic, and made the entire experience so much fun. He explained everything clearly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. All the props were amazing and really added to the experience. My group of 5 did the Zombie Xmas themed escape room w/ Marnie as our Game Master. She was super helpful and the room was one of the "easier" ones according to her. Still a good challenge for us in our late 20's to early 30's haha. Would recommend this place. We finished w/ about 1 min 30 seconds left. The puzzles were challenging and kept us engaged. We actually had to split into 2 groups which I wasn't expecting. There was a little bit of Morse code, number/letter combinations, etc. This one was maybe 3-4/10 scary. Not too scary. We haven't done an escape room with just the two of us in a while so it was time to refresh our skills. We have already done Cabin 13 and Zombie Rising here and we thought it would be fun to do one of the remaining Christmas themed escape rooms in OC so we returned to Legacy for The Grinchmas Carnival which is a spin of their Georgie room. They have two suites in this business park and have the four rooms split between them. The suite with Grinchmas Carnival and Zombie Rising is right at the top of the stairs and when we came around the corner, we surprised to see a sandwich box sign with a personalized welcome which was very cool and a nice extra touch to the experience. We were greeted by game master Christina who was so great before, during, and after. She gave us a very warm greeting and we chit chatted about their other rooms that we have done there. She seemed so happy and enjoying her day, it was very refreshing. In this room, you have the option of being split up at the start or having everybody together. We decided to start together since we were a little rusty. There are a lot of fun puzzles, multiple rooms, and the Christmas theme is strong. I would say this room is a little on the easier side and would definitely be fun for kids and families. We still needed a little help a few times and Christina would give the hint in a fun way instead of just talking in a regular voice. We had a great time and look forward to returning again to do the Sugar Rush Wonderland room to complete all of the rooms here. read more

We have done the candy-themed one twice and the kiddos were thoroughly entertained! Love the 3 room setup of that one and they do change things up so it was different the 2nd time around. Honestly this was the best escape room location I have ever been to...and I have been to many MANY ESCAPE ROOMS. The theming of each and every room is phenomenal, you can see the love and effort that is put into every single escape room. Even the energy of the game masters are so welcoming, they truly all love their job. Especially my lovely game master Christina...she made our game(s) very special with her charisma, magnetic personality, energy, and the pure joy she got watching us play the game. She legitimately gets sucked into the world as much as the players do and loves her job tremendously. To the point that...she managed to convince us to reserve another escape room THE SAME NIGHT, RIGHT AFTER WE JUST WON ONE! Decided to do an Escape Room and had a really great time doing it. There was only two of us so it was hard to finish the entire puzzle. Me and my boyfriend did Cabin 13 as our first ever escape room, and it was honestly very cool. Our game master Noah was great at explaining things and gave us intuitive hints when we needed without obviously giving the answer. The room was themed really well and it was super cool and immersive! The puzzles were pretty straightforward with some more obvious than others, but were not easy to solve either (they were not easy but not impossible)! They close 2 rooms off to make it easier for 2 people, but it didn't feel like we were missing out on anything. Ok so the escape room itself was 4 stars. But Vicky (the game master) made it a 5 star experience! We did the Grinchmas carnival room. It was very kid friendly room with lots of cute surprises. The only downside was that when we unlocked some clues, little doors would open but they were so quiet that you couldn't tell anything happened and then we would realize later that the door was open and a clue was waiting. Also, the Grinch decorations were covering up another room's decorations and we didn't realize we weren't supposed to take them off the wall. It made it a tad confusing. However, Vicky's kindness and positive energy made for a great day. Will definitely be back to try a non-kid-friendly room. read more

Everything made you think but nothing was unreasonably hard. The only slightly minor thing is that that there was one part of the puzzle that was arranged a little weird so it made it a bit hard to understand it - that's the only thing. It was the perfect experience for beginners, as the puzzles were relatively easy, but still challenging enough to boggle the mind a little.
