I've played a lot of escape rooms, but Exit Game in the OC truly stands out for the care they put into every experience. Whether you're stepping into one of their family-friendly adventures or braving their horror-themed room, the theming is thoughtful, immersive and detailed in a way you don't always see with the bigger chains. You can tell that the owners genuinely love what they do - every set piece, puzzle, and story moment feels intentional. My group and I had the chance recently to play their "Help, I'm a Cat!" room and it was such a blast. What really sets them apart, though, is their customer service. The team is warm, patient, and incredibly attentive. They read their players well and tailor the experience to what each group needs, whether it's someone's very first escape room or a team of seasoned enthusiasts looking for a challenge. I fully trust them to take care of my nieces and nephews when they are old enough to get introduced to the escape room world. They make everyone feel welcome and set you up to have the best possible time. If you're looking to support a small business that delivers memorable experiences, thoughtful design, and exceptional hospitality, this is absolutely the place to go. Highly recommend!

Had a blast! We came here to try the 13th basement room. Which was a nice twist on parody horror escape rooms. It was definitely more on spooky vibes, and funny (to me) not very scary. Although there are some jump scares. Overall, this is a super cool escape room with many different aspects and puzzles. It was super cool for our game master to break everything down afterwards, and to learn more about the development of the rooms. It's super unique and you can tell they love what they do, which only makes us players admire it more. After finishing our first room we were offered a discount if we did the other room as well on the same day, and of course we had to try out the kitties. It was super cute and we had a blast, even as a grown adults. I really enjoyed our time here learning more about the development and puzzles. Thanks again! Please let us know if you guys have a new room in the future. I think whether you're a newbie or experience player, this place is definitely worth a try and a good time.

We had a great time here. The host was a highlight. Very nice and very willing to answer a lot - I mean a lot of questions from our kiddos. It was really nice to have a room that was geared toward/ for kids to play too. I will definitely come back And play the other room.

Got to play "Meow, I'm a cat with my friends for international cat day! The room is such a flip from Exit Game's other room '13th Basement' (which is also amazing for scary movie lovers). I love the design of the room, Exit games never does wrong on designing. I love how kids and adults alike would enjoy playing this room. The puzzles still got us thinking, so don't underestimate it just because kids can be here. Got to talk to the owner, Jeremiah about tha rooms and is excited to see more in the future! Absolutely amazing time and hope to chat more

From high-intensity horror rooms to genuinely family-friendly experiences with zero jump scares, Exit Game OC truly has it down pat--and their new cat-themed room might be my favorite yet. This room is well made, immersive, and thoughtfully designed without being overly complicated. The puzzles are approachable, the flow is intuitive, and everything feels intentionally built for all ages, not just experienced escape room players. You're not rushed into stress--you're pulled into a story. The cat theme is adorable and surprisingly immersive. You're encouraged to crawl, climb, explore, and think with curiosity, which makes it feel playful rather than overwhelming. It's rare to find an escape room that's this wholesome, yet still engaging for adults. Perfect for families, kids, first-timers, or anyone who wants a creative escape room experience that prioritizes fun, imagination, and togetherness. A refreshing change from scare-based rooms--and proof that escape rooms don't need fear to be memorable.

Took my 10 and 11 year old daughter for their first escape room and we all had fun! No scares not too tense just the right amount of fun excitement!

Exit Game-OC: Meow I'm a Cat! We just wrapped up our adventure at Exit Game-OC, and their brand-new game "Meow I'm a Cat" was EVERYTHING. Our whole family had an absolute blast crawling through the space, solving feline-friendly clues, and trying to find our way back home. It's silly, immersive, and seriously one of the most fun experiences we've had together! Grab the family or your favorite friends and come meow the day away--you won't stop laughing. One of the best escape rooms hands down! The puzzles are extremely clever and well executed. The owners were really friendly and explained the rules in great detail. Will definitely be back. Spoiler - "Jesse" makes a guest appearance!

We have had the 13th basement room on our radar for a long time but it requires a minimum of three people. We recently started doing escape rooms with another couple so we finally did this room and it was definitely worth the wait. This is probably one of the biggest rooms we have done and there are all kinds of great puzzles that definitely require teamwork. I think this is the only room we have done where they actually let you take pictures inside the game, but obviously with the promise to not give anything away. There are some good scares but nothing extreme and there is a fun twist at the end. Luckily we didn't need too much help, but Abisai was a great game master. After we escaped, he gave us a whole walk-through of the game and answered all questions about it. Before and after the game we had some great conversation about various escape rooms in the area. They are working on some new rooms and we can't wait to return and try them. The 13th basement is definitely highly recommended!

Our group beat the escape room!

I wish I could do 6 stars. My dad's dying words this morning were "Leave a 5 star review for the escape game. We got a hell of a deal and the game was a banger." He really loved exit game & we had so much fun as a group. I'm recommending this place to anyone I can, Jeremiah was a great game master & it really felt like I was stuck inside a room with a killer. 11/10 I would go here again and even though I wasn't voted MVP for my group I still had fun.

Enthralling immersion via use of lighting, music, and SFX. + At the beginning, something happened with the light fixture. We were all wondering if that was intentional xD ominous~ - The part where we saw a paper with many blanks was confusing. We thought we had to fill in the blanks, cuz isn't that the point? Turns out the blanks were supposed to be ignored?? . At one point where we all had to scramble for hiding spots, my glasses got knocked off. - In the waiting room, lotta the puzzles and their solutions were incomplete. - Something confusing about the clue via hands pointing fingers. We asked the staff afterwards, but they weren't sure either. I think the finger formation coulda been clearer and fixed rigid. One hand had 2 fingers fully extended, and a third finger partially extended, so we weren't sure if that hand was indicating 2 or 3. + Decent amount of parking. . They give you a walkie-talkie to keep in touch with the gamemaster throughout your session, which is cool given the mission and more fitting than if the gamemaster kept in touch via intercom. - Unfortunately, this radio can be accidentally turned down or switched channels amidst the horror chaos without your knowledge. + Love that this is the first escape room we've ever been to where the staff give the team one camera to record everything so we can save for fun later. - Downside is the camera recording may be accidentally paused amidst the chaos, and we wouldn't realize we're losing valuable footage. - They don't bookmark any highlights or intense moments for your convenience, so you'll have to find those yourselves as you replay the footage. I heard the staff get bonus for name-drops but forgot the names of our gamemasters, so I'll throw a buncha random ones out. Conan, Youssef, Kai, Sherlock... did I match anyone? Hopefully someone'll get a bonus~ xD ;D

Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing customer service experiences we've had. We booked this room as part of our Father's Day celebration and spent over $200 for our family of five. During the game, the operator abruptly entered the room and informed us we were being removed for taking photos. He stated that he had warned us multiple times over the microphone, but none of us heard a single warning. Had we heard even one warning, we would have immediately stopped. In fact, my son works at an escape room and is very familiar with industry expectations and the reasons behind them. We are not the type of customers who intentionally break rules. What was most frustrating was not the rule itself. If a business has a strict no-photo policy, that's completely understandable. The problem was the complete lack of willingness to consider that their communication system may not have been heard. When we explained that nobody in our group heard any warning, the conversation quickly became about defending the decision rather than trying to understand what happened. The result was that our Father's Day outing ended with our family being escorted out, confused, embarrassed, and upset. My daughters were nearly in tears because they felt like they were being treated as if they had done something intentionally wrong. Mistakes and misunderstandings happen. What separates great businesses from poor ones is how they handle them. A simple conversation, a chance to correct the behavior, or even a willingness to investigate whether the warnings were actually audible would have gone a long way. Instead, we left feeling that customer experience was secondary to enforcing a policy. I rarely leave negative reviews and generally prefer to support local businesses. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this experience.
