literally best escape room experience i've ever had. My cousins and I came here last minute and it's 110% worth going here with a group of friends. Jeremiah was a great host and made the experience feel very immersive. Jeremiah and his wife are doing a great job running the whole game. read more

This truly feels like the only actually kid-friendly escape room I've come across in Orange County. We brought a 6-year-old and a 3-year-old, and not only did they both have fun, but the 6-year-old genuinely led the charge and solved most of the puzzles independently. The 3-year-old loved it too, which says a lot. What also stood out was how much thought and effort clearly went into the room design and technology. Jeremy explained some of it to us afterward, and even though he described it as rudimentary, our minds were kind of blown. You can tell a lot of care went into creating an experience that feels immersive, playful, and actually doable for kids. It's such a good summertime or year-round activity because you get a full hour in an air-conditioned space, off your phones, doing something interactive together. If you're looking for a family-friendly, kid-friendly group activity for around 3 to 7 or 8 people, this is such a good one. The concept is also just really cute and fun. You get to pretend to be cats in a litter box/play area, unleash your inner child, and think outside the box a little. Would absolutely recommend for families. read more

My family and I (my wife, our son, and I) have done a lot of escape rooms over the years, and I can confidently say that Exit is now one of our absolute favorites. We had an incredible time today playing two of their rooms back-to-back: the 13th Basement and Meow. The design quality here is truly top-tier. You can tell that the owners, Jeremiah and Christine, put a tremendous amount of heart, thought, and creativity into every detail. The flow of the games was flawless; the puzzles were engaging, logical, and incredibly well-designed, which made for a seamless and highly enjoyable experience. Beyond the rooms themselves, Jeremiah and Christine were fantastic hosts. It is clear that they are passionate about what they do, and their hospitality made our visit even more memorable. Thank you, Jeremiah and Christine, for such a great day! read more

We brought our two kids (ages 5 & 8) to do the Meow! I'm a Cat escape room with their aunt for her birthday. We all had a ton of fun and the kids were so excited to participate. Definitely recommend for those with littles and want to introduce them to escape rooms. read more

I've played a lot of escape rooms, but Exit Game in the OC truly stands out for the care they put into every experience. Whether you're stepping into one of their family-friendly adventures or braving their horror-themed room, the theming is thoughtful, immersive and detailed in a way you don't always see with the bigger chains. You can tell that the owners genuinely love what they do - every set piece, puzzle, and story moment feels intentional. My group and I had the chance recently to play their "Help, I'm a Cat!" room and it was such a blast. What really sets them apart, though, is their customer service. The team is warm, patient, and incredibly attentive. They read their players well and tailor the experience to what each group needs, whether it's someone's very first escape room or a team of seasoned enthusiasts looking for a challenge. I fully trust them to take care of my nieces and nephews when they are old enough to get introduced to the escape room world. They make everyone feel welcome and set you up to have the best possible time. If you're looking to support a small business that delivers memorable experiences, thoughtful design, and exceptional hospitality, this is absolutely the place to go. Highly recommend! read more

Had a blast! We came here to try the 13th basement room. Which was a nice twist on parody horror escape rooms. It was definitely more on spooky vibes, and funny (to me) not very scary. Although there are some jump scares. Overall, this is a super cool escape room with many different aspects and puzzles. It was super cool for our game master to break everything down afterwards, and to learn more about the development of the rooms. It's super unique and you can tell they love what they do, which only makes us players admire it more. After finishing our first room we were offered a discount if we did the other room as well on the same day, and of course we had to try out the kitties. It was super cute and we had a blast, even as a grown adults. I really enjoyed our time here learning more about the development and puzzles. Thanks again! Please let us know if you guys have a new room in the future. I think whether you're a newbie or experience player, this place is definitely worth a try and a good time. read more

Got to play "Meow, I'm a cat with my friends for international cat day! The room is such a flip from Exit Game's other room '13th Basement' (which is also amazing for scary movie lovers). I love the design of the room, Exit games never does wrong on designing. I love how kids and adults alike would enjoy playing this room. The puzzles still got us thinking, so don't underestimate it just because kids can be here. Got to talk to the owner, Jeremiah about tha rooms and is excited to see more in the future! Absolutely amazing time and hope to chat more read more

We did the cat room with a 2, 3,4, and 8 year old. With some adult help they were able to complete it in just under an hour. Everyone was able to contribute and the puzzles were very kid friendly (and cat friendly - batting at objects, chasing laser pointer). The kids had a ton of fun just cosplaying as cats and climbing on the set pieces - they didn't even want to escape at the end! read more

This was such a fun experience! Our whole family had an absolute blast. Jeremiah and Christine are the sweetest owners and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. I even called ahead of time and Jeremiah was so accommodating! Thank you for creating such a memorable and enjoyable experience for our family. The kids will talking about it for a long time to come! Thank you again, Jeremiah and Christine--we had an amazing time! And we took a TB from the cache that we cannot wait to help travel! read more

Exit Game-OC: Meow I'm a Cat! We just wrapped up our adventure at Exit Game-OC, and their brand-new game "Meow I'm a Cat" was EVERYTHING. We wanted to do a room with our PreK child and the Meow I'm a Cat was a great option. This gave our little one a lot to do and it was easy enough to explain directions to our child to complete the clue. This is room is highly recommended for group with small kids. read more

We have had the 13th basement room on our radar for a long time but it requires a minimum of three people. We recently started doing escape rooms with another couple so we finally did this room and it was definitely worth the wait. This is probably one of the biggest rooms we have done and there are all kinds of great puzzles that definitely require teamwork. I think this is the only room we have done where they actually let you take pictures inside the game, but obviously with the promise to not give anything away. There are some good scares but nothing extreme and there is a fun twist at the end. Luckily we didn't need too much help, but Abisai was a great game master. After we escaped, he gave us a whole walk-through of the game and answered all questions about it. Before and after the game we had some great conversation about various escape rooms in the area. They are working on some new rooms and we can't wait to return and try them. The 13th basement is definitely highly recommended! read more

What a fun experience and new ways to experience an escape room! The game masters sure put a lot of heart and soul into the creation of this game and it shows. The puzzles were fun and captivating and made you think outside the box. The pictures you get are really fun too! This room, even though very Saw themed, was not scary - it mostly paid homage to the horror franchise. A few jump scares, but nothing that the normal person couldn't laugh off. A new kid friendly room is in the works that will have an optional adult twist. Really looking forward to see what comes of it! read more

I wish I could do 6 stars. My dad's dying words this morning were "Leave a 5 star review for the escape game. We got a hell of a deal and the game was a banger." He really loved exit game & we had so much fun as a group. I'm recommending this place to anyone I can, Jeremiah was a great game master & it really felt like I was stuck inside a room with a killer. 11/10 I would go here again and even though I wasn't voted MVP for my group I still had fun. read more

Love this spot! Took my little ones to the Cat room and it was great! Easy to help the kids have a fun time in a safe and super new to kids. Have been to a bunch of rooms, but never really get to experience a room through my kids eyes. It was super great. Definitely need to look for more kids games. This escape room has set the standard for a kids escape room in my mind. Will probably go back to see my niece and nephews reaction. It wasn't even really about me (as the adult) playing, but guiding the kids to have a fun time. read more

The latest game from Exit Game OC Meow I'm a Cat is absolutely adorable and perfect for families. I played yesterday and was very impressed with the set, puzzle design and atmosphere. Whether you're a beginner to escape rooms or otherwise I really believe any experience level will appreciate this one. The whimsical nature of the room accompanied by the puzzles which I found to be intuitive with a natural flow really make this game one of the best in Orange County. This one will absolutely end up winning an award I am confident. And as usual if you haven't played 13th Basement go ahead and play that one as well, Jeremiah and Christine deliver an experience that is unmatched and truly what I would consider to be the "gold standard" of escape rooms. read more

Awesome games! Excellent gamemasters. Loved the set design and the puzzles so much! I'm gonna recommend everyone to play your rooms.

If you love cats and puzzles, this escape room is a must-try! From the moment we stepped in, we were surrounded by hieroglyphic cats, glowing white eyes, and just enough mystery to make us feel like feline adventurers. The puzzles were clever and super creative--digging through a "litter box" for clues had us laughing, and challenge was brilliant. The sound effects--purring, meowing, even a dramatic hiss when we messed up--made the atmosphere so immersive. Our favorite part? The final reveal. Solving the last riddle made the game ends with a high note. We actually cheered (and maybe hissed at each other too) Great for families, friends, or anyone who secretly wishes they had nine lives. Highly recommend if you're looking for something unique and paw-sitively entertaining! read more

I've been behind on this review, but I think about this place often. We played their 13th Basement room last year and I still have to smile anytime the memory of being there pops into my head. Wildly creative- I'd call this the escape room enthusiast's escape room. That's not to say there's no fun to be had by beginners or newbies to the escape room world, but there are so many tongue-in-cheek references to the industry as a whole. The puzzles are creative, fun, and unique. The game is great for groups as there are some solid communication and teamwork oriented puzzles. The only thing I would mention as a warning is that there is some gore and campy horror throughout the experience, but if that doesn't bother you then this should be at the top of your list in the OC! read more

Broooooo! Like this escape room was my group of four and I came and was the first one to experience this game on a Sunday, and I was left with no disappointment. It was fun, scary, and an awesome fun time. The puzzles were complex, but not too hard. For a group with minimal experience we survived with a few helpful hints! Tbh, we probably didn't need the hint but we kept psyching ourselves out and was screaming at how scared we were haha. I definitely recommend this game and the owners were very sweet and are lovers of escape rooms too! I can't wait to see what else they have planned! Even if you're a bit curious, do it! this is definitely worth the cost and time! This reignited my love for escape rooms and I'm here for it! read more

Such an awesome escape room. We took our two kids 9 and 7 to the cat themed room and it was such a great experience. Very interactive, vibrant, engaging and thoughtful puzzles. After we finished, we geeked out with them over escape rooms and mazes, and they gave us a bunch of great recommendations for others they thought we'd enjoy. This was just a lot of fun. We are a family of 5, kids 15, 12, and 10 and they couldn't stop talking about it the next day. Game was very creative and clever, solvable with elbow grease (and some hints), just enough scary for Halloween but tolerable for the younger kids, and super fun puzzles that everyone could participate in. This was definitely different that other escape rooms we've been done. Jeremiah and Christine are super fun and so dedicated to making this such a great experience. Highly recommend and will be on the look out for their next game! read more

The 13th basement!! If you are looking for a scary escape room that you can get the right amount of scare but also not be like too terrified and laugh your butt off this definitely hits those marks. We went in questioning like what is a horror comedy room. We did not look too much into it as we wanted to like go in kinda blind. I went in a group of three. One of us is amazing at puzzles, one it was their first time in an escape room who wanted a horror one but not an intense horror one, and me who is still new to puzzles of escape rooms but has been dragged into a few intense (in my opinion) horror rooms where I was dead weight and just hiding lol. The rooms were immersive and had us laughing and screaming. Mostly laughing at how much we were screaming and jumping. The puzzles were like the perfect amount of brain power for like beginners but still challenging enough/ fun for the puzzle people. There were lots of creative pieces in the design that I don't want to go too in detail as to not spoil it. Definitely need to work as a team though and those were the type of puzzles my group likes because it allowed us all at our different levels to participate and have fun. We were talking about this escape room all night at our dinner because of how much fun we had. We would definitely recommend it for any people who love horror films, horror escape rooms, and want to get a good laugh. As for me a scaredy cat who kinda likes horror but has been a teenie bit traumatized but the intense ones this was a perfect like middle ground of immersion and puzzle solving without being in intense fight or flight LOL. Highly recommend!! read more
