New favorite room unlocked. After doing over 75 rooms, Dr Hader's was able to totally surprise us, especially with the nuggets at the end. Totally wish there was another room in the works because we LOVE Mad Rapper and Dr Hader's so much. It also is so impressive because this isn't some big chain that just pushes out collab-themed rooms. It is privately owned and is unique from all other murder mystery-- alien-- creepy cabin etc. if you haven't tried any of Scenario's rooms-- it's a must! We decided to try this escape room spontaneously and had a blast. The facility is very clean and Nate was super welcoming. We chose the Mad Rapper room which is the more difficult of the two rooms offered. It was such a fun experience. I liked how they incorporated music into the puzzles and story. The puzzles were very well thought out as well and rewarding. We were able to do it in 49 minutes with 3 of us without hints. This was our first escape room and the bar has been set very high! read more

This was such a surprisingly enjoyable room...both of them! Both with different parties but only 3 max with our little group. Here's my thoughts: Rooms: - Mr Hader's Cartoon World: a solid 6/10 enjoyable factor with it also not being too difficult so a "medium" difficulty for our group of 3. We've all done escape rooms before and two of us have done 40+ rooms. Some unique characters and unique puzzles...so if you want a slightly easier room, then here it is! - Mad Rapper: This was a quite enjoyable room with very unique puzzles and high quality decor! Loved the theming, uniqueness, and was a solid 8/10 for enjoyability. Semi-hard and our group of 3 (more veteran, have some decent experience in rooms) used a few hints to get out. I'm impressed with this room! I would say it really is worth trying once if you havent! Out of the two rooms, this one outshined the other hands down. Pros: - Easy access and parking right outside. No weird location vibes. - Loved the quality of the games! There was a lot of thought put into it and some unique puzzles! Cons: - None really. Came here on Saturday evening but it was somewhat of a messy day for us. We had originally booked a 12:40pm room for their more popular room - Mad Rapper and I been wanting to do this whenever I visit the OC area. We were on the way after dropping off my girlfriend's cat at the vet. We expected them to take much longer so the room was a last minute decision to kill time. On the way, we got a call that the treatment for the cat was done so we had to turn back. It was super unexpected and the wait to get the cat back was also unexpected so it couldn't be helped that we weren't going to make the 12:40pm room. I called them immediately around 12pm and explained the situation. The gentleman that picked up was understanding and advised me to email them so the owner can see and that the owner is usually chill about these things. I still felt bad because all their times for Mad Rapper was booked that day except their 10:40pm time so I'm sure their 12:40pm one would've been booked by another group if it wasn't for us and their policy is 48 hour notice for cancelations. I received a reply within the hour with a one time promo code to change our reservation. Since I'm visiting on vacation and one of our group members was also visiting from 5 hours away, he had to go back the next morning so we had use the code that same day. We had no choice but to use it for the Dr.Hader's room. Now excuse my extra rant, but onto the room review! As shown in the picture I posted, they received some escape room awards for both their rooms so it wasn't the end of the world that we didn't get to do Mad Rapper. Both their rooms are hip hop themed so it was a really cool experience. The decor was really cool and the staff was friendly. Throughout the whole game, hip hop music played so it felt like a party! There's extra puzzles you can do apart from the main room if you have the time which was a cool touch. We finished the main room with 13 mins left and ended up only solving 3 of the extra puzzles. I personally wasn't involved in a lot of the puzzles because there's a skill based puzzle in the room so I took it upon myself to be the one to do it since someone had to. When I got done with it, I was lost on what puzzles had already been solved and what part we were on. My partner and I did the Mad Rapper room for $50 a person, which was super engaging and really fun! For a 2 person party, it was challenging but doable, especially if you already have a general gist of escape rooms puzzles (we finished with five minutes to spare and only one hint). A party of 3-4 is ideal to finish. Music plays the whole time, which makes the theme quite immersive. For those who are hip hop nerds, this room doesn't really reference hip hop culture or history, but they create the fictional theme and story well. Every element of the room was intentional and has a purpose which i loved! Unlike other escape rooms I've done before, the game masters do not have microphone access to talk to you. They can only see you through camera and show you hints on a TV screen when you start waving your hands in the air. That said, the production of the room wasn't too high-tech, but had all super interactive elements and well paced! read more

My partner and I did the Dr. Hader room! We called in for a last minute room and the employee was really wonderful in helping us out and even reminded us to use a promo code that was on the website. Love the ambiance of the escape center itself, the murals give a 90s feel. The game itself was so much fun. I think there were plenty of puzzles in the room and pretty straight forward once you get the hint thats spewed around the room. I came across this hip hop-themed room online and loved the idea! And after reading all of the glowing reviews, I was even more determined to experience The Mad Rapper! Unfortunately, the place was always booked when my friends and family had time to go. Then the pandemic hit... Now that I've finally had a taste of Scenario glory with my family, I can tell you that I'm impatiently awaiting its next room, which is supposed to be a cartoonish one. Currently, the only offering is The Mad Rapper, and what an experience it is! The theming here is on point! You have hip hop beats playing in the background, a music studio with instruments, cds, records, and more. The puzzles flowed well and even offered a few clever twists. The Mad Rapper certainly requires team work, and there were a couple of unique elements in this game that we thoroughly enjoyed. Communication with the game master is through the tv screen, and the rules are crystal clear. Lastly, there is a good variety of puzzle types and tech involved to keep everyone engaged! Having a discussion with the owner before and after was great, and it was obvious that he's an escape game enthusiast as well. Bookings are private, and the room is cleaned well. They called me when I didn't show up for my appointment time and were so gracious and kind and allowed me to reschedule for the correct day. I just did the Mad Rapper it was only me and one other person doing the room and it was a super cool room!! I wasn't expecting to do so many things, this is definitely a room you'd wanna bring more than 2 ppl for and you guys would all be able work on something at once unless you're super experienced and smart! I will say it was a lot of going back and forth with certain things as well so keep that in mind too! This was a really well made room, everything made complete sense with the theme of the room and the puzzles were a good amount of difficulty as well. Chad was our game master/host and he was sosososososooooo nice and welcoming and helpful with everything when we needed it, he is very good at his job. This is one of the few escape rooms that are friendly and not spooky at all! We had so much fun doing the Mad Rapper that we decided to do the second escape room called Dr. Hater's Cartoon World. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes friendly escape rooms with unique puzzles. They both use different mechanics which is amazing because each room had few locks. Very high tech and great price. The rooms have a lot of space so you aren't cramped. I would recommend team of 4 max! I did one with 4 people and the other with just 2. One thing that stands out the most about this particular escape room game (The Mad Rapper) is the passion from the owner. Like much of what people have said previously, this game will not disappoint. The theme is definitely musical in nature, however, you do not need any knowledge of rap or hip-hop music in order to succeed in this escape room! The storytelling was set up very nicely. You start out with a video introducing the rules per usual, as well as the storyline behind the room you are about to experience. From there, the game only opens up even more, and was an amazing experience with great attention to detail. My boyfriend and I played and escaped with less than a minute to spare. It was definitely on the more challenging side, not necessarily puzzle-wise, but just because there was so much ground to cover for two people. It had a wonderful balance between puzzles that we needed to perform individually and split up, to puzzles that we needed to collaborate together in order to advance further. Together, we've played over 20 rooms. For some of those who are newbies to the escape room scene, I would probably suggest a team of 3-4 players in order to get the most out of the puzzles. Overall, the balance of the puzzles differed quite nicely; and was not all filled with lock-and-key type puzzles. The hint system was not the typical walkie-talkie system I was used to from other escape games, but involved you receiving hints from a screen. Hints are unlimited, but there is also a leaderboard for those seeking to attempt it! After we had escaped, the game master Eric had a lovely chat with the both of us. He took the time to ask us for our feedback on how to improve the game, if it needed any improvement. He also talked with us about what some of his other favorite games in the area were. You can tell he is a lover of all things escape rooms, and really takes pride in the work that he does. He even divulged to us that he created the beats that you hear throughout the experience!
