We do a lot of escape rooms, and Scenario is absolutely worth checking out. We played The Mad Rapper, and it was one of the better-designed rooms we've done. The puzzles were challenging without feeling like a stretch. Everything made sense, flowed naturally, and the clues led logically to the next step. There were a couple of skill-based elements that involved a little luck, but nothing frustrating or unfair. Also, despite the music theme, you don't need any musical knowledge or skills to complete the room. A huge shoutout to Veronica, our game host. She was incredibly friendly, fun, and genuinely excited about our experience. She took the time to chat with us before and after the game, and she was just as excited as we were when we escaped with only a few minutes left on the clock. If you're looking for a fun, well-designed escape room with great staff, The Mad Rapper at Scenario Escape Room is an easy recommendation. We'll definitely be back the other room! read more

It was so fun!! My boyfriend and I went on a double date here with our friends and we really enjoyed opening our room!! The host was amazing and super nice. Would definitely recommend read more

New favorite room unlocked. After doing over 75 rooms, Dr Hader's was able to totally surprise us, especially with the nuggets at the end. Totally wish there was another room in the works because we LOVE Mad Rapper and Dr Hader's so much. It also is so impressive because this isn't some big chain that just pushes out collab-themed rooms. It is privately owned and is unique from all other murder mystery-- alien-- creepy cabin etc. if you haven't tried any of Scenario's rooms-- it's a must! Note: we did have 8 with a bunch of newbies and there was enough to keep everyone engaged at all times. read more

As escape room fans, we've played many rooms over the years, and Scenario Escape Room definitely stands out. The set design was impressive, the puzzles were logical and satisfying, and the atmosphere kept us fully immersed throughout the game. The attention to detail was excellent, and the game master struck the perfect balance when providing hints. Highly recommended for both casual players and experienced enthusiasts. read more

It was so fun!!! Great theme! Tricky! We will be trying the other room soon!! Thanks!

Amazing escape room experience! We went with a group of 6 and the game master was very helpful and took the time to ensure we all had a good experience! 10/10 recommend! read more

This was such a surprisingly enjoyable room...both of them! Both with different parties but only 3 max with our little group. Here's my thoughts: Rooms: - Mr Hader's Cartoon World: a solid 6/10 enjoyable factor with it also not being too difficult so a "medium" difficulty for our group of 3. We've all done escape rooms before and two of us have done 40+ rooms. Some unique characters and unique puzzles...so if you want a slightly easier room, then here it is! - Mad Rapper: This was a quite enjoyable room with very unique puzzles and high quality decor! Loved the theming, uniqueness, and was a solid 8/10 for enjoyability. Semi-hard and our group of 3 (more veteran, have some decent experience in rooms) used a few hints to get out. I'm impressed with this room! I would say it really is worth trying once if you havent! Out of the two rooms, this one outshined the other hands down. Pros: - Easy access and parking right outside. No weird location vibes. - Loved the quality of the games! There was a lot of thought put into it and some unique puzzles! Cons: - None really. For an independently operated (non-chain) room, this was great! Cant wait to try out their new rooms once they get built! Until then, thanks for having us! read more

It was so much fun. We were a group of 7 and it was a blast. They have two rooms. One that is easy and one is hard. They have unlimited clues. Highly recommend read more

Jonathan was awesome! We had a great time playing the mad rapper for my husbands birthday :) would def recommend!!!

Came here on Saturday evening but it was somewhat of a messy day for us. We had originally booked a 12:40pm room for their more popular room - Mad Rapper and I been wanting to do this whenever I visit the OC area. We were on the way after dropping off my girlfriend's cat at the vet. We expected them to take much longer so the room was a last minute decision to kill time. On the way, we got a call that the treatment for the cat was done so we had to turn back. It was super unexpected and the wait to get the cat back was also unexpected so it couldn't be helped that we weren't going to make the 12:40pm room. I called them immediately around 12pm and explained the situation. The gentleman that picked up was understanding and advised me to email them so the owner can see and that the owner is usually chill about these things. I still felt bad because all their times for Mad Rapper was booked that day except their 10:40pm time so I'm sure their 12:40pm one would've been booked by another group if it wasn't for us and their policy is 48 hour notice for cancelations. I received a reply within the hour with a one time promo code to change our reservation. Since I'm visiting on vacation and one of our group members was also visiting from 5 hours away, he had to go back the next morning so we had use the code that same day. We had no choice but to use it for the Dr.Hader's room. Now excuse my extra rant, but onto the room review! As shown in the picture I posted, they received some escape room awards for both their rooms so it wasn't the end of the world that we didn't get to do Mad Rapper. Both their rooms are hip hop themed so it was a really cool experience. The decor was really cool and the staff was friendly. Throughout the whole game, hip hop music played so it felt like a party! There's extra puzzles you can do apart from the main room if you have the time which was a cool touch. We finished the main room with 13 mins left and ended up only solving 3 of the extra puzzles. I personally wasn't involved in a lot of the puzzles because there's a skill based puzzle in the room so I took it upon myself to be the one to do it since someone had to. When I got done with it, I was lost on what puzzles had already been solved and what part we were on. My group enjoyed it though and said they would come back for their other room so that's good news! Thank you Scenario Escape team and sorry for the inconvenience we caused. read more

My partner and I did the Mad Rapper room for $50 a person, which was super engaging and really fun! For a 2 person party, it was challenging but doable, especially if you already have a general gist of escape rooms puzzles (we finished with five minutes to spare and only one hint). A party of 3-4 is ideal to finish. Music plays the whole time, which makes the theme quite immersive. For those who are hip hop nerds, this room doesn't really reference hip hop culture or history, but they create the fictional theme and story well. Every element of the room was intentional and has a purpose which i loved! Unlike other escape rooms I've done before, the game masters do not have microphone access to talk to you. They can only see you through camera and show you hints on a TV screen when you start waving your hands in the air. That said, the production of the room wasn't too high-tech, but had all super interactive elements and well paced! read more

Played the Mad Rapper, Fun room! If you're looking for a challenge check this room out, you have to earn it which is what I like! Shout out to Veronica and Sophia, they were great. We will be back to play the second room! read more

We decided to try this escape room spontaneously and had a blast. The facility is very clean and Nate was super welcoming. We chose the Mad Rapper room which is the more difficult of the two rooms offered. It was such a fun experience. I liked how they incorporated music into the puzzles and story. The puzzles were very well thought out as well and rewarding. We were able to do it in 49 minutes with 3 of us without hints. This was our first escape room and the bar has been set very high! read more

Super fun game we did the "mad rapper" and it was a lot of fun, very nice staff, challenging but all the puzzles and challenges related to the plot, highly recommend this place. read more

After hearing so many great things, I finally got the chance to do Mad Rapper and let me tell you, I was not disappointed! What a unique room! The entire concept is so different and so well executed. The design of the room overall was very reminiscent of the theme and you can tell so much love was put into it. Eric, the owner, was an absolutely fantastic host and so personable. I love talking to owners and seeing how passionate and enthusiastic they are. He is so talented and the beats he made for the room were fresh! The puzzles were also really awesome! Seriously, I got stumped at some points because you really got to think and collaborate with your team (and this is coming from someone who's done over 40 rooms!). Super unique yet nothing seemed super super confusing or out of the blue. Everything connected and made sense! We escaped with around 2 minutes left with very minimal help. Will absolutely be returning to try out the new room when it opens! read more

As a family of four, including a middle and high schoolers, we tried the Mad Rapper. The room was challenging and exciting. The story line was interesting and the soundtrack used was even better. Staff was kind and super friendly. Definitely recommend. read more

For being a music themed escape room (mad rapper), this was surprisingly really good. My friends and I finished with 17 mins left and super enjoyed this room. Puzzles were fun and it helped that we had some musically talented people but it also wasn't that necessary. read more

Nate and Malcom are amazing game masters. We had an issue with one of our players, but they were very understanding of our situation and accommodated to us last minute. In addition to this, they made our game experience very smooth. We were given hints and nudges at the perfect times, and we were able to finish both rooms. The rooms are both unique and engaging in different ways, and we believe this escape room was one of our most favorites. Definitely recommend, and thank you again to Nate and Malcom! read more

My partner and I did the Dr. Hader room! We called in for a last minute room and the employee was really wonderful in helping us out and even reminded us to use a promo code that was on the website. Love the ambiance of the escape center itself, the murals give a 90s feel. The game itself was so much fun. I think there were plenty of puzzles in the room and pretty straight forward once you get the hint thats spewed around the room. I loved the colors they incorporated into the escape room and the story behind Dr. Hader was just so much fun. The props were awesome and I love the idea of bonus puzzles if we have time! We definitely want to come back to try Mad Rapper! Thanks Scenario! read more

First time doing an escape room and this was more challenging than I thought! We had a group of five 40-something adults with only one with prior escape room experience. It was sooo much fun and we were able to escape the Mad Rapper room with literally only a second to spare. We look forward to coming back to try their other room and hopefully won't need so many hints next time. read more

Observe the rhyme, and check out the Scenario! Here we go, yo! Here we go, yo! Ever since I moved to California in 2019, I've been wanting to visit Scenario Escape Room. I came across this hip hop-themed room online and loved the idea! And after reading all of the glowing reviews, I was even more determined to experience The Mad Rapper! Unfortunately, the place was always booked when my friends and family had time to go. Then the pandemic hit... Now that I've finally had a taste of Scenario glory with my family, I can tell you that I'm impatiently awaiting its next room, which is supposed to be a cartoonish one. Currently, the only offering is The Mad Rapper, and what an experience it is! The theming here is on point! You have hip hop beats playing in the background, a music studio with instruments, cds, records, and more. The puzzles flowed well and even offered a few clever twists. The Mad Rapper certainly requires team work, and there were a couple of unique elements in this game that we thoroughly enjoyed. Communication with the game master is through the tv screen, and the rules are crystal clear. Lastly, there is a good variety of puzzle types and tech involved to keep everyone engaged! Having a discussion with the owner before and after was great, and it was obvious that he's an escape game enthusiast as well. Bookings are private, and the room is cleaned well. He wore a mask the entire time, and masks were required in the common areas. We all felt safe and had a blast! read more

We (my group of 9) played Dr. Hader, it was so cool. Honestly my group killed it and I only contributed on like 2-3 things, but even despite that, there are a lot of cool things to interact with to hold your attention. Our GM ANDY was the goat! He kept it real; was helpful; personable; and went through and explained some puzzles directly to me that I didn't understand read more

We drove all the way from Long Beach to do the Mad Rapper and it was totally worth it! The puzzles were creative and unique. Definitely challenging. We managed to finish even though it was just two of us (they recommend 3+). There are a lot of puzzles and some were very time consuming so I could see why 3 is recommended. Super cool theme. Malcom was super nice and provided great customer service. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Can't wait to come back and try their other room! read more

OMG WOW. My friends and I had a blast!! I love escape rooms and this one blew it out the park. It was challenging in the best ways. Our game master, Malcom, was absolutely the best! We haven't even gone yet and I already feel they've earned 5 stars. I was looking for some new escape rooms to do with my family on Christmas day and I found these rooms on the Morty app with great reviews. I thought I booked back-to-back rooms for the 25th, but unfortunately, I must not have clicked on the right date and I ended up booking for the 24th. They called me when I didn't show up for my appointment time and were so gracious and kind and allowed me to reschedule for the correct day. I can't speak highly enough about the customer service and how grateful I am for their understanding. So looking forward to our escape room adventures tomorrow and I'll follow up with a review on the actual rooms. read more

Have done 20 escape rooms. Did Mad Rapper. Cool theme. Cool thematic puzzles. Easy difficulty. Ideally 6 people. We had 8 and some people didn't have enough to do. We finished exceptionally fast at around 35 mins, just 1.5 mins short of the record. Super cool staff. Got recommendations for other escape rooms in the area and rec to use escape room app Morty to find times and reviews more easily. read more

Scenario Escape Room - Family Fun - Escape Games Near Me - Brea, California

I took a group of student here for a bonding trip earlier this month and the experience was excellent! The staff was friendly and engaging, and the junior high-aged students had a blast escaping the room. Here are some of their testimonials of the escape room: From Noah - The Mad Rapper escape room was actually very fun and interesting. I really like the creative use of music styles that somehow make the environment seem mysterious. The theme for Mad Rapper was very unique, and I liked how it had the look of an artistic and sinister style. During the escape room I was very surprised what places and things we had to do to get clues. It also made it hard by having to be aware at all times because we might miss a clue. It was a very intense and fun experience to spend with my friends! From Ryden - Scenario Escape Rooms is a hidden gem. We did the Mad Rapper escape room last week and it was one of the most fun and interactive escape rooms. I enjoyed how the escape room incorporated audio into their rooms. The people running the escape room were very nice. The introduction video was also very fun. We had solved the escape room with 1 minute left out of our 60 minutes. Thank you, Scenario Escape Rooms! read more

I just did the Mad Rapper it was only me and one other person doing the room and it was a super cool room!! I wasn't expecting to do so many things, this is definitely a room you'd wanna bring more than 2 ppl for and you guys would all be able work on something at once unless you're super experienced and smart! I will say it was a lot of going back and forth with certain things as well so keep that in mind too! This was a really well made room, everything made complete sense with the theme of the room and the puzzles were a good amount of difficulty as well. Chad was our game master/host and he was sosososososooooo nice and welcoming and helpful with everything when we needed it, he is very good at his job. Definitely going to come back to play their other game here. 10/10 would recommend! :) read more

We as a class booked the escape room Mad rapper. It was super fun and exciting we made it with 30 seconds left!

This is one of the few escape rooms that are friendly and not spooky at all! We had so much fun doing the Mad Rapper that we decided to do the second escape room called Dr. Hater's Cartoon World. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes friendly escape rooms with unique puzzles. They both use different mechanics which is amazing because each room had few locks. Very high tech and great price. The rooms have a lot of space so you aren't cramped. I would recommend team of 4 max! I did one with 4 people and the other with just 2. Our game master paced the clues very well when she noticed we were going in circles. (We kept doing one puzzle for like 3 min because we didn't know we were done lol). The game master let us know that Eric, the owner, created all of the sound tracks in the rooms! It is so unique and fun! read more
