Took my daughter to Flightdeck and it ended up being a really memorable experience for both of us. The session starts with about 15-20 minutes of instruction, which was clear and easy to follow even for beginners. After that, you step into a fighter jet cockpit, and that's when it really gets fun. The experience felt surprisingly realistic -- from taking off a carrier, to actual flight time, and then attempting a landing. You get a solid amount of time in the air (around 30 minutes), so it doesn't feel rushed at all. What stood out most was how immersive everything felt. Sitting in the cockpit, going through the motions, and working through the flight made it feel like more than just a "game." What a wonderful find. They were so accommodating with our late arrival. It meant so much for my son who has practice aviation on the computer and really took flying really seriously!! He learned much about controls prior to this experience and was highly impressed with how realistic the simulation is. Even at the back I felt wind, movements and sound that was so realistic as an airplane. The whole set up and instruction was so realistic and calm, including checking all of your controls prior to takeoff! I love how we had to taxi because a plane in front of us was taking off and we had to wait for our turn until we got clearance from the control center This simulation and copilot instructions is Exactly as what you typically see it in the show. Purchased a groupon for 2 people which I initially thought was for any of their simulators (turned out to be racing, which was fine by me). Our allotted time was from 3pm to 3:30pm of which we arrived about 10 min late as the entrance was difficult to find as well as it was locked. I called and an employee answered and stood outside for us to enter. Race had already begun and the employee quickly informed us of what to do. The actual racing was fun in itself and these are very impressive machines but you definitely need at least 60 min to fully enjoy it (my friend got less time, around 15 min cause his simulator was not operable so he had to move). Would love to try the flight simulator but will have to seriously think about it due to the cost. Overall, not bad for special occasions but the location is awkward and challenging to find. read more

We stumbled upon this amazing experience while walking around the wonderful Garden Walk shopping center in Anaheim. My son is training to be a pilot, so this was an incredible experience for him. We didn't have a lot of time before we had to head back to the bay area, but they worked us in for a 30 minute simulation with the Boeing. It was worth every penny. Truly such a cool experience. You're going to have a good time. It's expensive but I'm glad I did it. We did the jet fighter simulation and it's exciting. There is a bit of a video game feel to it but it's not a pure shoot 'em up. You do have to use some skill to maneuver your plane and you'll find that the longer you fly, the better you get. One thing I wish you could do is to be able to identify the names of the pilots in the other jets as you see them in the sky (and try and shoot them down). I think that would add to the experience if you knew who you were going after. This is a good group activity. I'm not sure I would do it again because of the price but if someone else was buying, I'm definitely all in. read more

My 13 son has taken an interest to aviation. We were referred here from a friend and took our son in for a flight in the airliner. It's Very intimidating with all the buttons and lights. my son was actually able to fly and land it with the instructors guidance of course but even he was very impressed. The worker kris was extremely personable and knowledgeable to say the least. after the flight he even exchanged numbers with us to answer any aviation questions or concerns we might have in the future getting our son enrolled into a flight academy. He even gave us a tour after our flight of the facility We will definitely be back to this place for the fighter jets now also . I'm a retired commercial helicopter pilot. For a large portion of my career, the lure of flying an airliner (and doing a career change) loomed large. It was a bucket list item to at least get a chance to wiggle the sticks in an airliner. I missed a couple of opportunities over the years to get some sim time, and at this point in my life I was not going to let this get away! The simulator flight deck operates is not an FAA certified simulator, but it is every bit as good as one. It's not a full motion sim, but the visuals and the cockpit instrumentation and automation work as they should. And, the instruction was outstanding! I had the time of my life, seriously one of the best flying experiences I've ever had. I can't recomment Flight RogueRacing enough. read more

I got a session to simulate flying a Boeing 737 yesterday as a birthday present for my fiancé, but I ended up "flying" instead! Our session yesterday was so memorable, from the very hearty greeting from Paul, the owner, as we first arrived, to the educational (and fun!) experience with Scott, our instructor, who was so thorough with all of his explanations. Scott took time to answer all of our questions - mine because I'm interested in getting a pilot's license and my fiancé's because of his fear of flying. The cockpit was on par with an actual Boeing 737, and the simulation screen was of high quality, so it felt like the real deal throughout the flight. Gave it a Fair 3 Stars because of the Price. Other than that, if you have the financial means to purchase at the least, 1 hour or more, than that would be great. Trust me you will need at least 1 hour to figure things out and get comfortable. It seems this place is more geared towards vacationers with money to spend and not for your typical local university kid who just wants the experience. Wish they had an income based sliding fee scale hahaha... just kidding. But I do wish they had season passes for local kids; that would be so awesome! This place is cool. Very unimpressed with this place. We came for the racing. Did not do the flight portion. The vibe is very sterile. No music playing, no lounge to hang out. There are 6 racing simulators and you get to do 3 races. I didn't know what place I was in or when the last lap was coming. Each race just abruptly ended. I was blindfolded and taken here as a birthday surprise. I was speechless, excited, nervous and happy all at the same time! What can I say about this place that hasn't been said already! After you check in you get an awesome orientation. You get the control stick to help you out better. You then get in a jump suit and you're let in to your cockpit. The experience starts there I believe. You get to be exposed to such a real experience with all the button and switches it's amazing. The hatch closes and your ride begins! My package came with the fox one, two and three! The first was an introduction to flying and landing with a dogfight. Fox two is a more manual experience to flying. Fox three gives you the most out of the control stick and the throttle with the most hardest landings. The staff here sounded excited to do their jobs. The fox three instructor was my favorite. Everyone here knows their stuff. I highly recommend for everyone to do this if you've imagined how it is to fly! I want to go back soon. read more

I was really nervous that I'd do terribly because I know nothing about this sort of thing, but I ended up getting 3rd place in a large group of people. They do a good job explaining how everything works and they continue to guide you as you're playing if you need help. I had a lot of fun and really hope to go back. The price is steep so it's not something I can do too often but I'll definitely return. read more

Went to Flightdeck yesterday for my son's 15th birthday. We had a blast!! Everyone was really friendly and welcoming. My daughter had a bit of a hard time controlling her plane but someone helped her and got her "off the ground" when they noticed her struggling. It's definitely a unique experience, unlike any other. My kids won't stop talking about it. My husband and boys all were in competition with each other to see who could get the most shots and who could land the best. Talk about a one-of-a-kind experience! We took my 14 almost 15 year old daughter here along with her best friend for her birthday, trying to find something different to try especially with Covid-19 putting a damper on life. This exceeded expectations tenfold. I sat out and watched and I had fun. My husband, daughter and her best friend said they had such a good time we are going to plan another trip. We live about a hour and a half away and can't wait to come back with our adult friends. The staff was amazing. Had an amazing experience here on Saturday evening with my son. The staff is extremely friendly at the front desk .....although I forgot the workers name working reception she was very warming. Took my son here because he has a strong interest in aviation so his aunt and grandma had gotten him the Boeing 737 experience as a Christmas gift. We paid for the 30min flight just to make sure he'd like it... I forget where we flew but it was truly amazing. The instructor we had was Christopher who was extremely informative and professional. He guided my son all the way from start up to landing and explained everything in full detail. And after the flight he even recommended schools for my son to start his training which he can't wait to do since the flight we took there. I was so amazed and impressed I gave Christopher a hug in front of all the workers hopefully I didn't embarrass him. I recommend this place to anyone with kids who shares an interest in aviation. Had a fun time with the family, and the staff was all friendly except for one. The older man at check in was extremely rude and hostile, and within 5 minutes of checking in the guests a confrontation occurred with one of the guests whom he disrespected. When called out for his behavior, this staff member tried to act innocent and confused. Extremely rude, uncalled for, and unprofessional behavior by this older man. Such a shame, the rest of the staff was wonderful. As for the experience, it was fun and the staff made it enjoyable. Took off two stars for this man's behavior, I am appaled that someone of his temper decided to work customer service. Shameful. read more
