Got a Groupon to try and found this place in an eerily deserted mall with most of it's stores closed. Lots of machines to try and some are pretty easy so you'll be able to win something in maybe 5 tries but still not really worth the price even with a Groupon.

Went again a few weeks ago because I had to use my Groupon. the staff is still very rude and condescending. Will not be returning back after this (as a long time customer)

Had a five star experience with their Buena Park location, so I stopped by this location at the Westminster mall as I had an hour to kill. Overall, I think it's fun. Won five plushies with my $20 (see pictures for my haul). With yelp check in, ended up getting 24 tokens for $20 (normal rate is 22 tokens for $20 and 2 bonus tokens for check in). They do give an extra three tokens if you write a review. I didn't try take advantage of this offer, but this is why there's the yelp warning for "suspicious reviews". Compared to my experience at the other locations, the difference was that employees felt more helpful elsewhere. Your miles will likely vary with talking to staff and asking for help. If you really want to come home with plushies, then you'll have to choose your machines wisely. There was a batman and pikachu plush that I liked, but I left behind. If you get too emotional and you go for plushies that are packed in deep, then you'll just get frustrated. Two important notes: 1) The quality of the plushies are nice, but they do not appear to be official licensed products. (If you look at the picture of my haul, you'll see the blue hello kitty plush has "helle kitty" written on its foot). I'm fine with this as my main priority was to have fun; however, it's relevant to note. 2) If you cherry pick for easy plushies, you could trade them in for larger plushies that are positioned behind the front counter. There are some impressively large plushies that you could trade for 3-20 smaller ones. This offer is only good for things that are won during your current visit.

Kawaii Klaws is located inside the Westminster Mall. My sister and I came when the mall was closed at 7pm, but Kawaii Klaws stays open till 8:30pm on weeknights. The mall entrance by Luxe buffet stays open for you to go to Kawaii Klaws. They have a TON of machines! All the plushies are super adorable. It seems all the machine is 1 token and 1 token is $1! Pretty good deal. If you check in on yelp, it's 2 free tokens. They have token machines throughout the place, but it only takes exact cash. You can purchase tokens with card at the counter. My sister and I had a ton of fun and we both got plushies! Would definitely come back.

We were in town visiting some friends and I saw this place on my IG feed. We wanted to take the kids to play but I think the adults ended up enjoying it more lol. Anyways this place was pretty kool but walking thru the mall to get to the place was sad. Malls aren't definitely like they were back in the days. Ghost Town. The folks working there were very nice, friendly and attentive. This place was bigger than I expected. We purchased the special on coins (cant remember exactly how much) but we had enough to win a few plushies. The selection of the machines were awesome! There was a machine we all wanted to try and win! We all left with a plushie each.

    So cute

This place is so cool! Each play is a dollar and on my first try I won this cute little acorn frog. I named him Fred. I've never won before like ever in my life! So I stopped while I was ahead. I'll come back and try again next week

Came across this place on Groupon. They had a good deal where you can get $20 worth of tokens for only $13. They are located at Westminster mall so parking was easy to find given that this mall doesn't get that much foot traffic. Inside, it was pretty big with lots of machines to choose from. It's one token per play and the claws here are not rigged and can hold a good grip. They have a good variety of cute plushies from Sanrio to anime but they're not authentic, just something to keep in mind. I still had fun though and I won a couple plushies. Definitely a great place to take your kids or have a date night.

Not official plushies but there were a handful of cute stuffed animals in the machines.

Something might be going on in Westminster mall as it seemed that Kawaii Klaws was one of the few places not perspiring to shut down. I definitely recommend going over if looking for a fun activity. At $1 per game, who wouldn't want to try their luck with a crane game? (Don't forget to checkin for 2 extra shillings!) Staff is very polite. The girl at the register was apologetic as they couldn't exchange coins for us because we were a little early. They have token machines but they only accepted cash at the time. The crane seemed pretty fair or at least teased us with its ever so slight strong grasps on the plushies. In total we spent around $20 per plush. Overall, it was a fun experience and I'm glad that something like this exists.

My family enjoys claw games and this was another good option to visit while in OC. It's in a pretty dead small and difficult to get to because some of the mall esculators don't run and some stairways are taped off. The games are similarly priced as the location in Buena Park, but this one seems larger inside and has interior seating. The service was standard and prize winnings were good quality and quantity.

We had an amazing experience. We wanted to take our son for his bday surprise because he loves claw machines. At first, it was hard to find because like the other reviews, it was in the deserted Westminster Mall. But, I liked that there weren't that many people there. The service was great. We got our tokens ($50 for 55- pretty good value) and my son went at it. Each game takes a token. He played his heart out and got as many as he could, so the selection was perfect. We were very satisfied, probably because he's got a way with the claw machines! This was his bday treat, so he was very thankful!

I love Kawaii Klaws. It is perfect to spend time with friends and family. It reminds me of the machines in Japan. This place is definitely winnable. Tip: you can double tap when the claw touches a toy. Check in for your two free coins! You can get a price break when you buy coins in bulk. Get your friends and family together and split the coins. It is good value. This is a large venue with many machines and plushies to choose from.

Enjoy visiting here with family and friends for fun activity. They have so many claw machine and $1 for 1 token, 1 token for each play.

    First time here yay!

Our first time here. First time hearing about this place was on Instagram. We had to make a stop at the Westminster Mall yesterday to do a return, so before doing that we headed into Kawaii Klaws. First thing we had to do first was get some tokens for the machines. We head over to customer service desk and they were helpful. They had a variety of cute prizes in their claw machines. Overall cute claw arcade.

Place is much smaller than some may think, it's just a small shop but it has cranes around the walls and a few in the middle. The thing is that this is not what makes this place so great. The prizes were crazy fun, when we came in there were Pokemon all over with some random anime keychains in the smaller machines. I was told that they change out all of their prizes weekly making the return visit even more exciting. Prices are reasonable, $1 a token with extra tokens given the more you buy. Still not even what makes this place so great. In our opinion, what made this place so great is the customer service which we found to be so incredibly nice and accommodating. Like 180 deg difference from some of the bowling places or arcades in the area where the employees make you feel like you are totally bugging them and if they are personally paying for the prizes. They will help you out, talk to you about crane fun and ultimately they seem so relaxed and having fun with you. Got a bunch of prizes, some of which I will happily be donating to my Pokemon community ambassadors for kids but the Umbreon and Cubone are absolutely mine. What's an OkiDoki? I don't think this term will ever have a definition other than "Crane Fun" for me and my kid moving forward. Will absolutely, absolutely, for sure be back. Rarely offer five stars, this place and the people within well deserve it.

We were seated in front of the bar area with the large screens, and our server, Isaiah, was extremely inattentive throughout the night. When we first sat down, I ordered a Diet Coke while the other two people in my party ordered drinks as well. Their drinks arrived immediately, but mine never came. I sat through the entire first fight without a drink -- not even the water we had also requested. I eventually flagged Isaiah down and said that if the Diet Coke hadn't been entered yet, I'd like to switch to a different drink instead. It was obvious the order had never been put in, and he assured me he would bring the new drink out right away. Once again, nothing came. After flagging him down a second time, he blamed an "IT issue" with the system and said he would personally grab the drink. He then returned with the wrong drink entirely. I try to be patient and understanding, but by this point the experience had become frustrating and unacceptable. Because of the poor service, I decided not to order another drink. We had originally planned to stay for dinner and only ordered appetizers during the fight, but ultimately chose to eat elsewhere because we no longer wanted to spend money at this establishment. To make matters worse, after paying and tipping, I noticed we had still been charged for the Diet Coke that I never received. This level of service is completely inexcusable and honestly makes me never want to return to this location again.
