This was my first time trying a paint and sip and I had soo much fun. I love how everyone's paintings end up looking amazing no matter what. I felt like the pace of the class was perfect, they were playing great music, the employees are friendly, and the drinks are strong. Came here a few weeks ago with my bestie for a wholesome Sunday! It was a lot of fun. I have no creative bone in my body so I get intimidated over activities like these but our art teacher made it so easy to follow. Jessica was our art teacher and she was amazing! She explained the steps really well and gave everyone enough time in between. She also came around to assist us. I was very much struggling with the trees and she came to help, which I appreciated. All the other workers were great as well, they have a great team at Pinot's Palette. They also have a bar to paint and sip, we skipped this one since we drank during brunch already hehe. Make sure you come early/on time to the event you sign up for, it's kind of distracting when other painters come in really late. I also feel it's an inconvenience to the teachers. I used to come here pretty regularly back when I lived in the OC, but hadn't been in a few years since moving. Tonight I went back for the first time in a while and I remembered why I love this place so much. I have tried other "paint and sip" nights at places closer by, but nothing has ever been as good as this place. The staff are amazing, the atmosphere is great. I have taken art classes in the past so I'm definitely not a complete beginner by any means, but there is so much encouragement and support no matter what your experience level is! I've taken friends here who have had little to no experience with painting and everyone always has a great time. I also love how supportive they are of creative freedom; not only are they happy to supply other paint colors so you can add or change things however you want, but they even encourage you to add your own flair! Tonight was a very cute date night painting of two little ghosts holding hands and being all cute, but I was attending with my brother rather than a partner so we decided to make our ghosties be in the middle of a bitter instead and they were so supportive and enthusiastic about our silliness. I literally cannot say enough good things about this location and the people who work there. I will definitely be trying to get back into the habit of going more often! read more

I came here to celebrate my birthday with my partner and had so much fun! We painted a portrait together and it came out beautifully! Although I was intimidated and terrified, once it started coming together, I was surprised. Our instructor was amazing as well as the staff who helped at the bar and provided supplies. After an amazing brunch at Toast in Brea, we continued the birthday celebration at Pinot's Palette. It was my first time attending a painting class, and I have to admit, I was a little nervous--especially with a few drinks already in my system! The theme was Fall/Thanksgiving, which was perfect for the season. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, and it lasted longer than I expected in the best way. The instructor was fantastic, giving everyone plenty of time to work on each section of the painting. In hindsight, I wish I had asked for a smaller or different brush, as I struggled a bit with the ones provided--but now I know for next time! The host made the event even more enjoyable, frequently coming around with candy and taking pictures throughout the session, which were later displayed on the TV. After we finished painting, they were incredibly kind, offering to take individual and group photos, as many guests were celebrating special occasions. Reserving a seat was very easy to do - you can do it online and also make requests on who you want to sit next to. I was excited. Especially reading the reviews on here. It was 3 of us 1st timer painting along w attending Pinot's Palette paint session. Came here to celebrate a girlfriends birthday, she loves painting and is a regular here. So thought it'll be a great evening to do what the birthday girl enjoys to do. Finding the course along with booking the classes was very easy to do online. When i picked the course selection "Northern Night Lights" i was ecstatic since it's a black light edition painting. Something the bday girl hasn't done. Paint in the dark edition. We were greeted nicely and the 4 placements were set up for us. They have Apron available for you to use. The instructor was really nice and was pretty good at the details and step by step instructions. If you look at my example it's pretty close to what he painted. For my 1st time experience along with my friends. We're just disappointed on the outcome of our painting. I felt that what instructor informed us to paint was a bit off of the example photo that was already painted or even what the example painting when booking this painting course. We all started with the lights which was the star of the painting. The lights is what threw off the painting. if you look. It wasn't just my opinion but all of my friends too. The way the lights were instructed to paint and it's curves. We had the instructors painting he did with us step by step along with the example of what we're gonna paint. I have attached the photo for comparison 12.08.23 They have a bar for drink purchase. The paint studio is nicely decorated with lights going down as curtains. Very nice ambiance. FYI they have 2 separate suite for painting. The regular lit up room and the night/black light edition course right next door. Located in Downtown Brea. A few doors down from Cha Cha's Latin restaurant. Parking in parking structure. Something i may consider again to do because it was something i always wanted to do. You get there, you have about 30/40 minutes to prep and get drinks!! Seating is arranged and is perfect, you have a little second level lounge to hang out before it starts. The workers are great, nice, and the music is great! Then you paint, step by step instructions, if you are a true artist go ahead and be free, you get enough time to perfect each step, you get a break to stand and get some fresh air, freshen up your drinks and continue to paint. This location is very aesthetic and spacious. It's great for girls night, birthday celebration, group event or date night. You can buy wine, spirits and non-alcoholic beverage. I'm not much of a drinker, but I like ciders because it's on the sweet side. I recommend the pear cider they sell, it was $6 and very delicious. We had an assigned seat and everyone has their own space and ease when they paint their piece. The ladies working here were nice to wait about 10-15 minutes after scheduled time because two groups seem to be running late. They never appeared, so the ladies proceeded on with the class. They were very kind and always smiling, asking if we need any assistance. We did a Black Light painting and it was a cool experience, although I think I'll prefer a regular setting after experiencing it. The painting looks plain without the black light (lol). The instructor, Jessica, was very nice and tried to get the crowd in a good spirit. They actually went 30 minutes over scheduled time just so we can perfect our piece, and let it dry, plus take pictures. I think these ladies work very hard and have to be very patient to do what they do, so don't forget to leave a tip! TIP: Go to their website and check which paintings they have to offer (pricing is about $39/pp). You pay online, so no hassle when you show up. Their events do sell out, so do not wait last minute! Environment: Such an amazing experience with great vibes. If you want to celebrate an occasion or just to simply paint & sip, I absolutely recommend this pace. My cousin took me here as a surprise for fun. It was one of our activities from our day of events. We've always wanted to attend a painting class. Walking in, the instructor automatically knew our names. They had our seats, canvases, paints, and brushes ready for us. There is also a bar in the back along with a restroom. Nice and clean. The dj played my type of music which made it even better. Drink: Of course, we couldn't paint without a sip of alcohol. The bartender was very courteous and hilarious. He was patient enough to explain the beverages they offered and how it tastes. He recommended us the Chocolate Beer. I usually don't drink beer, but it had a bittersweet taste that i enjoyed. They also offered wine and other flavored drinks as well. Staff: Our instructor was amazing! There's a projector screen, so the whole class was able to clearly follow her steps. Throughout the lesson, she made it so fun for us. She explained everything with detail and specific instructions. Activity: My cousin booked an appointment online. I am unsure exactly which class he signed us up for, but we painted a moon over the river with a reflection of forest trees. Aprons were provided for us. Little did we know we were painting with neon paint in the dark! It was an anticipating surprise to see what our paintings looked like with the lights on. The canvas, paint brush, apron, and all necessary materials are provided for you upon arrival. The wine and alcohol are not included with the package. However, the experience was unforgettable. The duration of the event is around 2 hours long. I am not artist, but I would like to say that I did pretty well. The pace of the lead artist was manageable, but personally, I had a little bit of anxiety trying to keep up. Had a ton of fun, because I got very competitive with my partner. SOOO MUCH FUN!!! Highly recommend!!! A mistake that I made was that I was too invested on how my painting looked and didn't have more fun with the environment and partner. This was my first time coming here and I came with my best friend to check this place out! We both got 2 cups each of Moscato to paint along. Our artist that day was nice and easy going. The instructions were easy to follow and the artist has a microphone on and a camera that shows the process on a screen for anyone that has a hard time seeing the artist paint as they go step by step. I'm definitely coming back for more. My best friend and I met in art class so this was definitely something that was such a fun thing for us to do. I was happy with my painting (although I had some mistakes here and there) and I learned a lot more about acrylic paint than I knew. I'm more of a drawing person than a painting person, so this was a new experience for me. This was a fun experience! An instructor artist tells you what to do each step - how to mix your colors, what brush to use, what kind of brush stroke. You work with a blank canvas and mix your own paints. You can choose whatever art piece you want to do depending on the day. The day we went was a picture of a princess-looking girl in a large poufy dress surrounded by a whimsical background of streaks of blues and greens that made the girl look like she was in an enchanted forest. It was a little on the difficult side as we were drawing a person, but we created the outline of the portrait with chalk before painting. We went on a Thursday night starting 7-9 p.m. Doors opened at 6:30 p.m. The room This location/ticket came with one free drink. The free drink menu included several beers, white, red, rose, and bubbly wines. I had an imported German lager that was pretty good. My friend got a special drink of Sprite mixed with a bubbly white wine - super smooth and a little on the sweet side. Hard seltzers were available but not included on the free drink menu. I've been to a paint and sip in Gardena, and the Brea location used a bit more technical techniques - like dipping the paintbrush in runny paint water and flicking it onto the canvas for a speckled, glowy effect. I heard that the Pasadena location did not come with any free drinks though the price of the tickets was the same as the Brea location. You can park for free in the parking structures for the outdoor plaza surrounding Pinot's. Make sure to leave a tip before you go! read more
