I have enjoyed Parties by Panache catering at many events over the years so, when it came time to hire a caterer for my son's Bar Mitzvah, I knew I only had to call one company. The event was held a few weeks ago and guests are not only still talking about the food but a few have already booked PBP for their upcoming events. Leading up to the event, Hollis and her team were so easy to work with and communicated every detail with myself and my event planner. The guest count was higher than my wedding and was stressful to manage at times, but the PBP team handled everything so professionally and easily. After a few appetizers were passed around, there were a number of stations to choose from. It seemed like every guest had a different favorite. We all enjoyed delicious Jewish comfort food like latkes, brisket sliders, kugel, and matzo ball soup shots as well as Mediterranean food with salmon and chicken kebabs, rice pilaf, and a Greek salad. One guest said that the hummus was the best she had ever tried! It really was that good. The kids mostly enjoyed a slider station with sirloin hamburgers, fried chicken, and french fries, but plenty of adults grabbed a slider as well. They also created a signature drink for the Bar Mitzvah boy, which was really cute. For dessert, we all loved the ice cream sundae bar and assorted mini desserts like lemon bars, rugelach, and brownies. PBP also made yummy black and white cookies for all of our guests to bring home. With about 11 staff members to help with the event, PBP helped create an incredibly enjoyable and memorable event for my family and our guests. Everything about the experience was top notch. My only regret is that I was too busy with guests to enjoy everything at the time. Thankfully we had some leftovers to devour later (except for that hummus - everyone went back for seconds!). Settle in, because this review is long :) Thanks to Parties by Panache, this was the most relaxing Thanksgiving I've hosted ever. I didn't have to spend two days in advance shopping and doing prep/pre-cooking, then all day on Thanksgiving watching the turkey temp and stressing about what had to go in the oven when. Instead, I could enjoy a few drinks and actually visit with my family. Ashley was great to work with on the coordination of my event. She was so willing to accommodate all of my changes to the menu and adjust the quote based on changes to my headcount. Communication was great...she called with questions prior to the party and I was informed of a change in the arrival time on the day of. Kelly (who took care of the party) was fantastic! I was initially concerned that having someone hanging around while we had appetizers and dinner would be weird, but she blended right in. I was impressed that she kept an eye on the ice bucket and drinks, and offered to serve up plates and refill glasses during dinner. Regarding the food, I have 4 words: GET THE SHORT RIBS. Everything else was also delicious. Once we were done eating, she boxed up the leftovers (of which there were plenty for everyone to take what they wanted plus more). She cleaned up quickly and even washed the dishes I had provided. I told her she and the crew at PBP are my new best friends and they will be hearing from me in the future. The only downside was that she refused when one of my guests asked her to marry him ;)...maybe next time!! I can't praise parties by Panache for their incredible job they did for our hundredth year gala at Temple Israel of Long Beach. Hollis was exceptionally professional and a joy to work with. She tentatively listen to all my needs and insured. The event was elegant and flawless. A committee. Member of mine made us significant air in the table set up, but Hollis, with her King attention to detail, caught the mistake and saved the night. From start to finish, Hollis promised was executed to perfection. The evening couldn't have been more perfect, with 250 attendees joined beyond delicious food served hot and an incredible staff that cater to everyone's needs. As one of the hosts of a virtual bridal shower we were so fortunate we found Parties by Panache! They were absolutely fantastic. We had numerous guests in the local area as well as many joining us from several states. We wanted everyone to be able to enjoy some tasty treats as well as champagne to toast the bride. We have a few parties and holiday meals catered by Hollis and the Panache team, and we really can't say enough about the amazing food and service level. Everything on the catering menu and holiday menu is always amazing. The food quality, creativity and portion size is always perfect and all details covered so we don't have to ever think or second guess about the meal. Just did the last thanksgiving holiday meal again and followed the reheat instructions and was blown away on how moist and tasty the turkey was. This is a very long overdue review from July 2019. I just wanted to thank you for making my mother in law's memorial service as pleasant as a memorial service could ever be. Every interaction with Hollis; over the phone, in person meetings, follow up emails and subsequent visits to the venue until the day of the event was handled with white glove service and absolute care. She took the pressure off of an emotionally overwhelming day. The staff was extremely professional, helpful and their attention to detail was a reflection of Hollis. It was impressive to see how she holds her staff to such high standards and they held each other accountable for perfection which stems from her leadership. True teamwork! The food was by far outstanding in presentation and taste. We had many compliments by the attendees and were fortunate to have the remaining food boxed up for our family. My husband I didn't eat anything during the event and it was so great to be able to enjoy the fruits of their labor afterwards. Parties by Panache surpassed every expectation we had. They are not just a "catering company", they are "The Best" catering company I have ever worked with. They handled every detail for us, from arranging the flowers, linen/rental placement and food/drink set up. They truly are perfectionists and it is definitely apparent in their work. Hollis at Parties by Panache has a fantastic business there! We had a small order for a 25th birthday "tea party" at our home. We ordered finger sandwiches, sweets, and a cake. I never expected that all of those things would be so good!! The chicken salad sandwiches disappeared off our table immediately, the tray of little sweets was very popular, and we ordered a honey cake with raisins and nuts with a pumpkin spiced cream cheese frosting. Parties by Panache catered my bridal shower a few weeks ago and it was absolutely perfect. My hosts requested a healthy and delicious menu (plus an amazing creme brûlée french toast- yum!) and wow they delivered! The food was both delicious and beautiful. They also helped with securing the table/chair rentals, decorations and linens, and provided the gorgeous floral centerpieces. The staff was friendly and catered to our every need. It was an incredible afternoon. Everyone was able to sit back and relax while all of the little details were taken care of. I have hired Parties by Panache twice to cater corporate planned events for 80+ people. I found them only by driving by their storefront on Imperial Highway and then checking out their website. After calling them and comparing their prices to a few other local caters I chose them because I enjoyed speaking with Hollis and Judy over the phone. They helped come up with a unique menu for our themed parties and answered every question I had. Each time they have delivered on what was promised and you definitely are treated to a generous portion for the price. My guests were impressed by the menu selection and the presentation of the food display. They arrived on time and their delivery staff was friendly and professional. And of course the food was very tasty. They promptly arrived to clean up and take away every dish without me having to get my hands dirty. This is the best caterer I've EVER used!! They did a "post-wedding" brunch for about 100 people with an omelette bar, and other fabulous foods and they came and set up about 2 hours before, with expert servers, handled the crowds beautifully and cleaned up after. Parties by Panache is truly an incredible team who have put on probably every event we have ever had. Whether it be just the catering portion or the full on event organizing every detail from the table rentals, to the floral arrangements, decor, to helping us come up with the grand ideas themselves. They have done well over 15 events for us over the years, from annual Christmas parties (200+ people), to catering my entire wedding.. and I mean every single aspect of it from a s'mores station, an incredible sweets station (desserts in shot glasses, cookies and milk, cotton candy.. you name it) to stir fry to a full service bar which - my wedding by the way was over 400 people! They catered my bridal shower equipped with mimosa and Bloody Mary stations as well as a chocolate fountain for fruits and just a few short weeks ago my dad's amazing western themed 60th birthday - where they literately planned everything. They arranged for all of the rentals, found prop company, set up our linens, and decor, had a BBQ where fresh tri-tip and steaks were being made, baked potato station, ice cream station, and full bar with funky cocktails served in mason jars. Throughout every event they are so professional, flexible, and if you can think and dream it up they will go well beyond to make sure it is delivered. For my Dad's birthday in September we were so busy and didn't really have time to plan it out and Parties by Panache just took care of everything for us and we did not have to lift a finger - they organize the linens, and burlap[, floral arrangements, all of the food and drinks, the rentals, everything!
