Overall, Lisa and Scott were really friendly and helpful! Lisa was able to work closely with me to design just the right aesthetic I was going for, which was Y2K (2000's) with glitter, butterflies, and lots of pink! My setup had 3 panels, 4 different colored balloons, and extra heart & disco balloons. Scott also custom-built these giant wooden butterflies with the iconic Burn Book font from the movie, Mean Girls, to say "Happy Birthday Jade". I loved this special touch because it made my setup unique and one-of-a-kind. Personally, I thought The Simple Luxe stood out to me because their designs and setup just looked a lot more professional and put together. I've seen other IG balloon businesses but they just seem like they're missing something or the design is off. I trust Lisa because not only is she a fashion designer, but she also communicated with me each step of the way to make sure the final design was what I wanted. It was a pleasure working with Lisa to create the beautiful "Here Comes the Son" backdrop for my son and daughter-in-law's baby shower my daughter and I were hosting. I had been following Simple Luxe on Yelp and Instagram for a while because i found their backdrops to be so beautiful and maybe, just maybe I could use them for any future parties. I had my daughter in 2023 and I had to start planning her 1st birthday. I reached out to Simple Luxe via Instagram in January to get a quote and check for availability for April. I got a response right away. I've inquired prices with other companies and even have friends who do these balloons and backdrops for less, but you get what you pay for. If you want something super simple and basic then I would go with another company, but if you want something beautiful, creative, and a piece that will WOW your guests then this company is the way to go. Lisa and Scott went way above and beyond my expectations. I have not stopped getting compliments and inquiries regarding my daughter's backdrop. Everyone loved it and kept saying how pretty everything was. I've had family and friends say it's the most beautiful backdrop they've seen. We worked with Lisa at Simple Luxe to provide a themed backdrop and seating chart for our daughter's first birthday party with 128 guests. We were able to negotiate the pricing which I appreciated, and paid for a backdrop and for a seating chart. Lisa also offered to add on additional decorative items at no added cost, which was very thoughtful. We were very clear regarding the size and design of the end-product and logistics of the event. However, on the day of the party, Simple Luxe arrived 2 hours late, when the event had already begun. The event was to start at 11 AM, and Simple Luxe was to arrive at 9-9:30 AM to begin setup so that everything would be ready when guests began entering. By 9:50 AM, I realized something was wrong when neither I nor my wife had heard anything from Simple Luxe. I had to call them myself for them to finally tell me that they were running late because a truck had broken down. They then told me they would arrive when the event was set to start and would do their best to throw together the decorations asap. I understand these types of crises occur, and I am willing to forgive that. However, failing to have the initiative to communicate that with me is utterly inexcusable and unprofessional. As the client, having already paid in full, it is not my responsibility to chase down a vendor to fulfill our bargain. Once Simple Luxe arrived, I requested that they set up the seating chart immediately, since guests had already arrived, and the absence of a seating chart crippled my workflow. The seating chart was delivered without the balloons across the top or the bottom that were promised. By then, I was trying to check-in and entertain one hundred guests, and did not have time to follow this up. Simple Luxe themselves also did not follow this up. Then Simple Luxe began assembling the backdrop and assembly continued until 30 minutes into the event in full view of the guests. It delayed the start time of our event, and even the general manager and sales manager at the hosting restaurant told me how bad they felt for us that the decorations were going up late. I will mention that the backdrop was nevertheless impressive, but the experience was marred by the above issues. It caused me severe stress when I was already managing multiple other moving pieces that day. Still, I did not ask for any price reductions despite the delayed and incomplete product delivery. Edit: Simple Luxe did respond to this review promptly and personally and addressed our concerns. They also offered a discount, which was appreciated. read more

Our daughter just turned one and thanks to The Simple Luxe, her 1st birthday party was OUT OF THIS WORLD (literally)! I initially reached out to The Simple Luxe via Instagram back in May to start conversations with Lisa about the theme, color story, what we wanted for the event setup, and our budget. We knew we wanted to go with "First Trip Around the Sun" (space theme) and because of all their amazing event setups, we put our full trust in Lisa and Scott to design all aspects of each component for our daughter's party. We went with a welcome sign, large main balloon backdrop, bounce house with balloon decor, and a picnic table setup for the kids. Since we were having the party at our home, we also wanted to make sure that the size and layout of everything fit the space and made sense for the overall flow of the party. Because I reached out so far in advance, it gave Lisa plenty of time to come up with the most incredible custom designs that matched the color story, theme, and that perfectly fit into each space throughout our home. In total it took us about 3-4 weeks to really get everything finalized, but communication was easy and Lisa was wonderful to work with. When it came to the day of the party, absolutely NO DETAIL WAS SPARED on every aspect of the event setup and I cannot stress enough how important it is to start planning early! I first contacted The Simple Luxe through instagram in mid-December 2022 for my baby shower in early March 2023. Throughout the planning process, Lisa remained professional in her communication. What I appreciated the most is that she really took what I envisioned for the theme of the baby shower (Boho with touches of moons and stars, without being "too pink") and brought it to life--beyond what I could've ever expected. When you compare to other party design/event planning companies, The Simple Luxe absolutely stands out in their ability to execute designs that are both well-engineered and gorgeous in their visuals. During the day of the event, Lisa and her husband were timely (even earlier than me!) and were able to set everything up within the small time frame allotted. They also came right on time to break everything down on time and I really didn't have to worry about a thing. Lisa proposed the ideas she had to make the theme work and sent many options over; she allowed me to choose from different balloon color combinations, peacock chairs, and accessories like the cute little stars and the pink rug (which still matched the boho theme). My favorite parts of my baby shower display were the huge, wooden moon that they put together along with the custom panel sign. I know it's a little corny but my husband and I have a nickname that all of our friends and family know we have called each other since we first started dating ("Ubae") and The Simple Luxe was even able to incorporate this by having a sticker on the panel that said, "Ubaebae Baby!" along with our last name on it. We received so many compliments on the backdrop throughout the day (and afterwards when I shared pictures with friends) and it was the perfect backdrop for us to take photos with our guests. The hall was big enough to hold 275 guests (we had about 200) but our backdrop was the perfect size in comparison to the size of the large hall. Additionally, I was wearing heels at the event, so the peacock chair gave me a chance to have a little break from standing. :) They also took a few photos and videos of me once the backdrop was set up on the day of the Baby Shower. They kindly sent me these upon request, and also shared with me videos of the building process (such as creating the custom moon), which I greatly appreciated! I contacted them via Instagram DM since this was the only mode of contact that they would communicate with, at least one month before the event for my sister's baby shower. She said they still had availability. Awesome. It was annoying that it took her forever to respond to messages, but the worst part was 2 weeks before the event on August 9th, Lisa stopped responding back to my messages. I had to check on her page to see that she was on vacation until the 15th. At least please tell your potential clients directly that you are going on vacation and you will not respond to messages! I tried contacting her again, on the 16th asking her if I could secure the rentals with her because the event was in 5 days and I had nothing booked yet and I was stressing out! On the 18th (3 days before the event) she finally responds and then asks if I still need anything for the event! Wow... Okkk... Anyway, I said yes because I was desperate and told her what I wanted and guess what?! Event came and went, she read my messages but did not respond! But still had time to post on Instagram. At least tell me that you are too busy to fulfill anymore orders instead of leaving me hanging. I would have been understanding and looked into other rental companies.
