My besties and I were looking for an afternoon tea place in OC to hang together after our reunion and this was the perfect place to chit chat & enjoy afternoon tea like we did in Cambridge! Loved the extensive tea collection but the food quality fell a tad short. The sandwiches were okay, nothing special. The desserts were okay as well - we had quite a bit of leftovers. The tomato soup and fruit cup was good, but salad was not fresh and I saw lots of rotten greens in my salad. Wish they'd wash / pick them out more thoroughly. It comes out to about $36/person before tax and tip, which I think is quite a good deal! The location can be a little difficult to find because the space is actually a banquet/event space where they do weddings, celebrations, showers, and parties. There isn't an obvious sign on the outside that says this is "Spring Tea Garden" but once you walk in, you'll see signs leading you to the spring tea garden. They have their own large parking lot so parking is not an issue. If you're visiting on the weekend, I highly recommend you reserve a table a day or two in advance. The space itself looks very historic, quaint, and cute! Love how much natural lighting the tea room has to give it an organic brightness to the room. this is such a cute tea house in downtown fullerton! it is great for a small group or bigger party (like a bridal shower). the location is a bit hidden - it is at the harbor blvd/chapman intersection on the second floor of a banquet hall. the staff is always really friendly and provides quick service. they have a really wide selection of teas, we are always able to find something we like. they have the classic tea sandwiches, scones, and desserts. i really enjoy the sandwiches and scones, but wish the desserts were a little better. read more

This is a cute afternoon tea place that feels very casual and overall a good place to spend time with your girlfriends. Seems like they can hold very large parties such as weddings and special events. The sandwiches and the corn was really good, but the desserts were just OK. The tea itself were not anything special. I did not host a big event here, but this would be a great event venue! I was here with nine other girls to have afternoon tea together. Because there were more than 6 people, we had to place a $100 deposit. We also had to choose the same tea package for everyone. The event coordinator recommended the Spring Tea Luncheon Package, which was $34 per person. Then we got two tea pots of three different teas for the table. The total charge included a 15% gratuity. -The sandwiches were the favorite of the group. The scones were huge and hard to finish. The desserts were meh. -We enjoyed the beach blossom oolong and vanilla almond teas. The lobby is beautiful with a piano, a display of teacups and teapots. They even have hats and fascinators that you can wear to take photos. It was easy to plan. I feel like the event coordinator is very organized. I would host events here because of this major plus. Another great thing about Springfield is they have their own parking lot, and there is plenty of parking! Turn into the lot from Chapman. My sister and I enjoyed a cute little Galentine's date here on a Sunday morning. We had a reservation, but there was only one party alongside us at the time we were seated. They have 3 different options for Afternoon Tea which are the Spring Tea, Garden Tea, and Royal Tea options. We chose the Spring tea and quite enjoyed the sandwiches that included an avocado cream cheese one, caprese with pesto, chicken salad with sun dried cranberries, egg salad, and cucumber dill with cream cheese. They were all so tasty, but my favorite was the chicken salad with cranberries. It was the perfect mix of seasoning with the chicken and the cranberries added a nice touch of sweetness. I wanted more haha. The tier also included scones and desserts. I'm not usually a huge fan of scones, but these were so delicious. I believe they had raspberries in them and the additional fresh cream with jam on the side elevated the experience. Out of the desserts, my favorite was the tiramisu. We also got to choose a flavor of tea with our own pot. My sister enjoyed her peach blossom while I loved my earl grey. I recently planned a birthday party here and this place is absolutely beautiful. It was even more charming that I expected. It was my first time here so I was nervous, but the service was extremely kind and attentive. The booking coordinator was very thorough about explaining the packages and expectations. When we arrived to the venue, all the staff was friendly and sweet. We rarely had to ask for anything because they would consistently anticipate our needs and refill out tea. The tea selection was impressive - we chose the Jasmine Green tea, vanilla almond, and hibiscus raspberry and all were delicious. The desserts and sandwiches that were paired were also tasty. Today's visit was for a mom's valentine exchange and it was a lot of fun and I loved using the bridal suite for a private tea room experience! The teas were very delicate and nice. We got the traditional earl grey, raspberry hibiscus and Almond Coconut Macaroon. Loved the teas, especially the coconut macaroon; it has soft airy aftertaste. The food is comprised of different types of sandwiches, but it is very light, so if you are a big eater like myself, you might want to make plans to eat more later. My friend enjoyed the desserts as there is a variety to try from, you can see what suits your taste buds. As for the service, they tend to be quite busy, so you may need to be proactive on asking what you need. But, they will do their best to fulfill your requests. I was with a large group on a very busy Sunday. It seemed as if the whole place was full. We had a preselected menu by our organizer. 3 flavored teas were brought out first then the tea trays . Traditional tea sandwiches were provided, then scones and sweet treats. Everything was fresh and tasty. The scone was soft , tasty and lightly sweetened. The scones came with cream and jam. We called and made reservations to come to high tea on the Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend. The tea room is upstairs and there was an elevator and ramp for accessibility. The room was bright and each teapot and teacup was so cute. We did the spring tea set and got teas with refills and several finger foods. Okay, so the address listed on the website took me in circles around the block a few times. I even tried calling but there was no answer. However, I saw Springfield Banquet and saw a sign that said Springfield Tea Garden. Thought to myself, this must be it. SO, the address and name was a little different and had me confuse. I parked in their lot, saw the signs and went upstairs as indicated. I came here for a bridal shower. The bridal party for my friend was located in the bridal suite. This suite was big enough for a party of 10. They also had a private restroom and sink inside the suite. Very convenient! Our party was provided with 3 unlimited teas, finger sandwiches, scones, and desserts. As I have dietary restrictions, I did not eat any of the sandwiches, scones , or desserts. Today I went to spring tea garden with a few friends to celebrate a birthday. We dressed up and were excited to see that we were sitting on the patio. It was quite nice out there. Greeted warmly, we sat down quickly. We decided what to get and they took our order. We all got the spring tea package ($34) and ordered a bottle of champagne to celebrate too. We figured since each glass was $11, might as well get a bottle for $22. I got the vanilla almond tea, and it was outstanding. Just so good. Once the food came, the scone was tried first! I also love the cream and jam that comes with it. The tea sandwiches were great as well. Enjoyed the caprese and then the cucumber ones the most. Service was great, and they came and checked in often. We tried each other's tea as well- each one I tried was fantastic. The only thing I'd offer a suggestion on was the music played. When I got there, it was like Cathedral music played at an ornate stained glass cathedral. A bit too much for mellow afternoon tea. I requested some lo-fi bossanova or jazz. But they did improve by picking a classical channel that played some current music but played classical style. Much better. Overall, a great experience and affordable- since high teas can get pretty expensive. Having an option for $34 was great for those of us not wanting to spend more. Pretty quaint, I wanted to bring my nieces to an afternoon tea. We've been searching and found this one to be a nice place to have brunch. We walked in and up the stairs to the dinning area. The server took us to our table, we had made reservations ahead of time. I had the royal tea while my two nieces had the princess tea. The server wasn't as friendly, so it was not welcoming at all. I came to Spring Tea Garden for my birthday on a Thursday. It was a group of 4 in total. They were very welcoming. We did make a reservation but you don't need to (they weren't very busy, only 2 other tables with people). It seems it was only the owner and 1 worker that day. Since there was only one worker, it seems she did everything from hosting, ordering, making the food/tea, and cleaning. So it's understandable if there was a wait for the food or if something was missed. They were very accommodating and accommodated my friends allergies. The service was great, the room was beautiful. It gave downtown Abby or gilded age feel to the room. They also had hats you can try on in the foyer! All of the sandwiches and scones were made fresh and very delicious. The scones come out warm and soft, I took extra home and they were good even 2 days later! The jam and whipped butter is made in house as well! The desserts were a different story, they were meh... (2/5). We each got the Royal tea set and an extra tea so 5 teas, they were all very delicious! We got the Peach Blossom, caramel vanilla cuppacake, rose petals black tea, british breakfast, and passion fruit papaya tea. The caramel vanilla tasted like really good milk tea (sweet). Repeatedly requested accommodations for food allergies prior to visit (at reservation, reminder a week out, day of & when we arrived) to which they said was no problem. Not only did they place the wrong plate in front of a deathly allergic person, the replacement plate had "no citrus" with an orange scone.... they were not aware that orange is citrus. Then they just removed the scone & brought back the plate, having no awareness of cross-contamination. This is the perfect environment for Afternoon Tea. It's located in an old building in downtown Fullerton that also serves as a banquet hall. The room dedicated to the tea service is on the second floor. Walking into the room launches you into another time before cell phones were invented. There was no Instagram photo wall. The building has a parking lot in the back. Easy to park. Enter the building and take the stairs up to the dining area. Such a beautiful building. They have various rooms if you would to reserve for a party or wedding. We got the holiday tea which included sandwhiches, mini desserts, scones, cream, jam and each person gets a pot of tea. Celebrated a bachelorette recently and it was a wonderful experience to begin the celebration at Spring Tea. Because we were a large party, reserving a table in advance is strongly encouraged especially if you want a private room. Free parking is behind the white building and the tea service is upstairs inside the banquet center. The service was very accommodating and the menu selection was plentiful. Our table ordered the peach blossom (group favorite), spring jasmine, and earl grey fancy for the teas. The sandwiches and pastries were good however the standout was the scone. It was not hard or dry like the others and instead was soft and flat. Pairing it with the cream and jelly made it super tasty. Was very excited to try out the tea service here with some friends. We made a reservation as they are required on weekends but it was not nearly sold out for the two hours we were there for. From the outside you may not realize there's a tea room since it's part of a banquet center so they have multiple rooms people can rent out for different occasions. The tea room is upstairs to the right. Nice and spacious interior with cute decor. Several different tea packages to choose from and lots of tea to choose from. You can also build your own experience a la carte like i did. I had the lighter $20 garden tea experience with salad, fruit, and tea. I added on a soup which was tomato today and it was delicious!!! I'd buy it by the pint if I could. I also added 3 tea sandwiches and that was the perfect amount of bites for me. Went here earlier this month for a bridal shower lunch for a small party. We were in a public tea room but it was great. Very bright and nice atmosphere with plenty of room. Noise level wasn't bad; everyone kept to their parties and didn't interrupt each other with their conversations. We were greeted by the hostess and seated at our reserved time. Our waitress and all the staff were very nice and friendly. Our party opted in for the spring tea option for each person. It was more than enough for us compared to other tea places we've been too! Everything tasted great and loved the tea options as well. I had my one and only daughter's Bridal Shower in the Bridal Suite with the Bridal Package. It was a very important day to both me and my daughter since my husband and daughter's father passed away and he would not be able to be a part of any of her wedding celebrations. The experience was so terrible it was embarrassing and was the worst service I have ever had anywhere. I came at 1:00 to set-up for a 1:30 party start time. There was no one there to greet me. We had a party of 15 and the package came with bottomless mimosas. At 1:45 the only food in the room was a pitcher of water and some plastic cups. I had to go and find someone to bring the orange juice and champagne. They brought 1 carafe of orange juice and 1 bottle of champagne and even had to open two boxes of champagne glasses. My friend and I served the drinks. I had to ask for more orange juice and champagne. I had ordered and paid extra for a gluten free meal for one of the guests. Again, I had to ask where it was. It arrived 20 minutes after the other food stands were delivered. I also had purchased fruit platters for everyone, and they were never served. Again, I had to ask for them. They came when everyone was done eating. We had a cake delivered and they forgot about that as well. I had to ask them to bring it and serve it. No one seemed to have my information sheet. The person in charge acted surprised every time I told them something was not delivered. The head manager only called me two days later after I left a message for her. She had no explanation as to why the experience was so horrible. I spent just under $1,000 and it was nowhere near worth it! And they made me pay 5 days beforehand. I got a refund of $114.43 for the fruit platters. Beware of booking any event that has meaning in your life. read more

I love the high tea experience here! I went in a group of 5 for a bridal tea party, and we each got the Spring Tea set for $33 each. Their rule is for a group of 5, you can choose only 3 teas to share. Despite this limit (other places don't have limits), it wasn't a big deal for our group. Luckily, we all agreed on 3. All were great, and this is my rank starting with the best: Spring Cherry, Rose Petal, and then Peach Blossom. I was full by the end and had to take home a couple of the desserts. The finger sandwiches were amazing, especially the egg sandwich and tuna sandwich. The scones were big and delicious! The workers were nice and offered to take our group photos too.
