    Event type: Daughter's 18th birthday / Debut / Graduation Party Date: June 2026 Guests: 104 The Charleston was the perfect venue for our daughter's debut -- elegant, flexible, and incredibly supportive from the very beginning. It was actually the first venue we toured back in October, and it set the bar so high that nothing else came close. We visited several other places, but every time we walked out, we found ourselves saying, "It's just not The Charleston." One venue even tried to slash $3,000 off the price if we booked on the spot, which only made us feel uneasy. The Charleston, on the other hand, felt honest, professional, and genuinely invested in making our daughter's night special. The ballroom itself is stunning -- vaulted ceilings, chandeliers, uplighting, a full stage, LED screen, hardwood floors, bar areas, and a beautiful bridal suite. As parents, we wanted her debut to feel elevated and unforgettable, and this venue delivered in every way. A few standout details: * Planning Pod: Their floorplan tool made seating assignments incredibly easy. We could drag and drop guests into exact seats, which was a lifesaver for a debut with VIPs and a full court. The BEOs were clearly laid out too, keeping communication smooth for both our family and the venue team. * Early setup access: Starting at 11 AM gave everyone plenty of time to prepare without rushing. * DIY friendly decor: They allowed us to decorate the ballroom ourselves, and staff was supportive the entire time. They even set up tables for assembling flower arrangements. * Band + DJ compatibility: Zero technical issues all night. The elevator access made load in easy for everyone. (DJ Ramon Guzman: Highly recommend booking him. He served as both DJ and MC, ran the entire program flawlessly, and kept the energy flowing.) * Custom video loop: Our welcome video played throughout the night and added a beautiful personal touch. * Parlor/bridal suite: Debutante and her court used it all day for hair, makeup, wardrobe changes, and quiet breaks. * Professional staff: Every interaction -- from load in to teardown -- was organized, friendly, and efficient. Emily, John and crew were fantastic! * Food: We chose the Charleston Signature Buffet, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious everything was. Some even admitted they went back for seconds (or thirds!). * Guest experience: Parking, entrance flow, open bar, grazing table, buffet line, champagne toast, coffee service, cake cutting, and seating layout all felt polished and effortless. We didn't hear a single negative comment. As parents, we just wanted our daughter's debut to feel special, stress free, and unforgettable -- and The Charleston delivered all of that and more. The night was beautiful, seamless, and everything we hoped it would be, and our daughter absolutely loved every moment of it. If you're planning a debut, wedding, or milestone event, we highly recommend The Charleston. It's the kind of venue that lets you actually enjoy the moment.

    Let me start off by saying, I love this venue. The venue is the type of venue that makes your guests feel elevated and classy. I highly recommend this venue. I had guests compliment on how much they loved it because it was a wedding venue they've never experienced before. I also highly recommend also booking their florist jennybflorals because they really know what they're doing. Also shout out to our event coordinator, Emily!!! She really is the best! Emily kept me calm and sane. Shes so sweet and I wish her and the staff the Charleston the best!

    The Charleston is a private event venue located in the historic Williams building in Fullerton. The place is beautiful and the art-deco décor, high ceilings, & wooden accents add to the charm. There is also a members only speakeasy with lockers to store your special private reserve. I came here for a celebration of life for a dear friend. We had a private room located next to the speakeasy bar. There was a nice buffet, which the guests enjoyed. I had a wonderful conversation with Jeff, the bartender. He made a delicious & refreshing French 75. If you need a place for a special occasion, I would recommend The Charleston.

    If you have an event to coordinate in the OC area, you have to look at the Charleston! My family and I were looking for a venue to celebrate my 30th birthday, and the Charleston was our first pick. Summer and Emily both assisted me and they were so kind and professional. We were able to do multiple walkthroughs of the venue, and the Charleston boasts five different lounges and ballrooms, including a speakeasy on the third floor of the building. We reserved the Foxtrot Lounge, which was this beautiful 1100-square foot space with comfy couches and a faux fireplace. The venue is located in a historical building as well, which adds to its appeal. I worked with Summer and Emily to figure out table and couch layout, and they do catering internally as well. Their catering and alcohol packages are extensive and quite affordable! You are also able to get food catered from an outside vendor, but you'll have to get it cleared with the venue first. The food we catered from the Charleston was delicious, and the staff that were onsite during our event were amazing and polite. I want to give a shout out to Summer, Emily, Chandler, and Nick for being so amazing and for helping me celebrate my birthday! I highly recommend the Charleston for any birthday, bridal shower, bachelor/bachelorette party, wedding, reception you plan to have!

    Amazing venue, we knew the first day we accidentally ran into the Charleston this would be the perfect venue for our daughter's French/Goth inspired Quinceañera. Summer and Emily along with their entire team made it a wonderful flawless experience. Loved everything about that day, the only complaint, it went by too fast

    I recently had my wedding reception here and I could not be happier! Summer, who is one of the owners of the venue was so helpful figuring out the best options for us to use at their venue that fit our budget. This venue can offer bundle deals where they offered (at the time I booked) floral arrangements, photo booths, Dj and two signature drinks! They also offer their own day of coordinator who was more than I could ask for! Emily, who was our day of coordinator was amazing! She went above and beyond my expectations as a day of coordinator. Although I would hate to say this, but I could be a type A planner/person. However, Emily was so attentive and made me feel so comfortable and so confident on the venue when it came to wedding planning. Every follow up meeting we had, she eased all my stresses and worries! When the day of the wedding came, we had no issues! The food was delicious, (which was made fresh downstairs) bartenders were amazing and used top self liquor (with our package) and was fun to be around. Every guest we had who talked to us had nothing but amazing things to say about this venue. I've even had some kids who said "this is the best wedding ever!!". This venue is not like your typical wedding venues. It gives historic, traditional, classic, romance, comfort, and warmth to its feel! I highly recommend this venue to all!

Very little parking and the back leads into an alley way. There was a lot of guests so we were told to park in the residential area which had sketchy surroundings when walking back towards the event space. When we entered the space, it felt like an open layout house. Fairly modern design. Useful space. Two restrooms for guests. There was a small connecting area with a fridge for storage. The next room over was perfect for a small play bouncer. No kitchen area. The catering company all had to set up outside in the already limited parking lot area. The pavement was in ruin. Needs to be replaced. The AC was very cold on a 67 degree day. Two stars docked for the limited parking. inconvenience and the odd location in a commercial/residential zoned area.

    I would not recommend this venue based on how my security deposit is being handled 3 weeks after…read moremy event. Immediately after my event, no damages were mentioned at all. The only communication I received was asking where an item I rented (the projector/VIBE) was placed. I told them, they found it, and that was the end of it. Shortly after, Alex (the COO) emailed me stating that my security deposit would be returned by this weekend. It still hasn't been returned. About 4 days after receiving the email from Alex , Chloe texted me asking if I had received my deposit. I told her no and sent her Alex's email confirming the refund. 2.5 weeks after my event, she suddenly claimed that damages were found after my event. This raised immediate red flags. - The venue had cleaners come in right after my event, so they would've notified her of damages just like they did after her other events. So I don't see what's so difficult about showing me the cleaners claimed that the kitchen door was locked. Obviously, it wasn't if she can't provide proof. - Chloe herself said she would come in the following day to confirm the rented equipment was where I stated. So again, why weren't these issues brought up immediately if there was truly damages done to her venue during my event. - I had already contacted her the next day asking about camera footage, and she told me the cameras do not retain footage past a short period Despite all of this, 2.5 weeks after my event, I received this message: "After your event, our cleaning team reported a few issues... 1. The kitchen door was locked and a locksmith was called 2. A crack found on the wall 3. A broken door stopper" When I asked for video footage or proof, none was provided. Instead, I was sent a screen recording of text messages between Chloe and her cleaning staff. Her cleaning staff said these issues occurred at another event the following weekend after my event. Immediately, when I said thats not the date of my event she unsends the screen recorded message between her and her cleaners.... They are now claiming that I locked the kitchen door, requiring a locksmith, yet when I asked for proof, I received no response from Chloe and Alex. As of now, I am still waiting for my deposit. This entire experience feels like an attempt to retroactively justify withholding a deposit. The lack of transparency, delayed claims, and refusal to provide evidence is extremely concerning and unprofessional. If you value clear communication, integrity, and lawful business practices, I would strongly suggest booking elsewhere

I think someone who super loved nature or wanted to take their time to hang out could take 2-3 admiring all the plant life. My FAVORITE moments here was when we came across wildlife. My favorite were the rabbit, turtle, and crane. It's beautiful. Great spot to get some steps in and absorb some sunlight.

She took the time to listen to my vision, offered thoughtful solutions, and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything came together beautifully. She made my entire process stress-free and even worked with me to ensure that I had more than sufficient time to set up. The venue staff the day of my event were wonderful! A shout out to the event captain Marisol for being amazing! My guests not only complimented the service they complimented how good the food was as well. Although it ended up raining the day of my daughter's event and we weren't able to use the patio area which we originally planned for, we were able to set up everything inside and it worked out very nicely. My best tip for someone looking to book is to be very organized and clear with every item you want if you are planning to bring your own decor, they are great and will get it done! But being organized will make things easier. The venue closes at 10pm, but we were able to book an area 12 minutes away at one of the bars in Downtown Fullerton. We had a good turnout of guests there for the After Party! We got so much compliments on our beautiful wedding and ceremony, and many compliments on the venue. We started planning our July wedding in January 2022, and we wanted to have everything outside so that guests wouldn't worry about masking indoors during the time of Covid. The Griffith House has huge space for everything. The other great thing that others have already mentioned is that, other than table, chair, and bar rentals, you get to choose your own vendors and bring your own alcohol - provided you pay for their bartender and security, of course. You do have to work with (and pay) one of their in-house day-of coordinators from Hutchinson Weddings, but Amy, who we we worked with, was very helpful working through the rentals that we used from the venue, as well as coordinating our outside vendors on the day of the wedding. We really wanted to choose our own caterer and bakeries, to choose wines and beers that we liked, and to bring my own pro audio equipment for the ceremony and music. The Griffith House let us do all that.
