This community center is large and amazing. It offers a gym, many exercise classes, enrichment classes such as painting and dancing, a cafe, and other amenities I haven't explored yet. The highlight of my week is attendng Anna's Zumba class on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. I rarely workout in the gym, but I prioritize coming to Anna's classes. I have lost 90lbs, and I attribute Anna's Zumba class apart of my success. She has the best energy, and her choreography is a unique and on trend. read more

What a beautiful venue! I came here for a AAPI mixer and the outdoor space was perfect for 300+ people to eat, drink, and mingle! There's a platform for performers, sound system for mics/hosting, and plenty of room to set up booths, tables, and more. Parking was plenty and free in the parking lot. The area was super safe and nice. The space is very clean, there are lots of restrooms, and it's just a great location for larger gatherings! read more

I am so happy my son told me about this center! I don't live in Brea but I drive from Yorba Linda to go to the Anna's Zumba classes. Her classes are the best because she makes it so much fun! She is the only teacher that makes me want to attend any group class. The center is smaller than you would expect of a gym, but it has everything you would want in a gym. My husband plays in the Adult Basketball League at the Brea Community Center and has had a great experience here. The facilities are well-maintained, the restrooms are clean and have changing tables and it's easy to get involved in something here. The BCC is a great location to workout in. I have been a member for over 20 years and it really feels like a community here. There are 2 instructors that am very enthusiastic about attending their classes and they are Anna ((Zumba) and Sarah (Body Pump). Both great challenging classes. We first came here when my step daughter was 4 for ballet lessons. She's now 13! Wow, time flies... Fast forward to my 6 year old aspiring artist. He just loves his intro to acrylics class and my 9 year old was excited for golf lessons (dad could have benefitted, too) but his science Olympiad team conflicted, so he had to withdraw. However, this place is more than community based classes. It's a great place for kids to come after school to meet and study together, play organized or pick up sports, or just hang out. It's clean and the staff we met seemed really interested in the kids. Parking is plentiful and the location is centrally located, albeit a little to close to the mall, especially since it's the Christmas season... We held the ceremony in the outdoor Arts Garden which gave the beautiful garden fairytale vibe we were looking for without us having to do much decorating. For our wedding of 120 we used the Patio Room (2/3 of the community hall) which was plenty of space for all our tables and an open dance space. Rebecca Hart was excellent to work with! If you're looking for a more chill gym experience than 24 Hour, Brea Fitness is definitely a hidden gem. 24 of course has more equipment, but at any given time, this gym only has a few people, and you never feel overwhelmed by the number of people. The gym is always in great condition, and all the equipment is very clean. However, the primary pull for me is the basketball court. There are usually not enough people to run 5v5, but I do enjoy doing drills by myself or playing 2v2. Overall, if you're looking for a hidden gym with all of the essentials, Brea Fitness is your place to go. read more

This facility is so impressive! It is large inside like a small airport with a large vaulted foyer and entrance leading down to various rooms. The staff are excellent and the building is clean and bright. The restrooms are huge and clean, fully stocked and have no touch systems in place. There is a well sized gym with all the workout equipment which also offer personalized training sessions. On the day I was there the community center was running what looked like a very well organized summer type school and the kids looked like they were so happy and having tons of fun. read more

The space was comfortable, audiovisual/sound was good, air conditioning can keep it cold on a hot day & they have clean restrooms. There are nice outdoor grounds with benches & space to eat outside. We had a wedding for 60 and 18 in the bridal party! Rebecca and Mike were amazingly kind, helpful and professional! All the staff was great! The Arts Garden was beautiful and intimate, perfect location for an outdoor wedding! The banquets hall was spacious, all the tables and black chairs were provided ( don't worry about covering the chairs, the size is unique and trying to find covers wasn't easy so we did without and it still turned out WONDERFUL!! Plenty of free parking, separate private entrance to the ceremony space plus if you want to do the reception in the same Garden area they have great lights hanging over the space. It's a one stop shop for your wedding and reception, look no further! Plus they have meeting rooms you can rent for your bridal party to get ready. Just be sure to cover the glass on the doors for more privacy. The best part is every space is rented by the hour, just be sure to include Vendor hours to set up and tear down. The initial deposit I paid was $500 and one day after the wedding they refunded me since we left everything clean and trash removed to outdoor cans. They have a full kitchen inside the banquet hall space that is spacious! Just bring your own dish soap and sponge if you need to wash any dishes... They have an ice machine, two huge refrigerators and freezers to store all your food, drinks, cake etc! Lastly they have a wonderful patio area outside the banquet hall that was perfect to serve our food and cocktail hour. It's a great space for any event! If you have a tight budget, trust me, I did! This place saved me sooo much money! I highly recommend Brea Community Center! read more

We got married at the Brea Community Center (arts garden and community hall) for our fusion wedding. Rebecca Hart was a pleasure to work with in making our special day come true, she was prompt and responsive. The venue was gorgeous and we had plenty of compliments about how beautiful the wedding was. Even though we had out decor set up, the natural beauty of Arts Garden made us feel like we were in a very intimate and magical place. We were most impressed that we were able to have a Baraat (groom's processional) directly from the parking lot into the venue. It made our Order of Events much smoother. The Brea Fire Department worked closely with our coordinator and Rebecca to ensure we were able to do a sacred fire for the Hindu ceremony. We invited about 100 guests and the 2/3 hall was plenty of space of a large dance floor, food buffet line, and bartender space. We also were incredibly grateful to have found a venue that allowed us to select our own caterer and bartender vendors (and decor). Absolutely loved this venue!! read more

I attended a birthday event at this location. The center has ample parking and the lot is not too far from the entrance. The staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds are kept tidy and clean. The center consists of different areas for classes and regular workout equipment. It does not appear to be cluttered and the layout of the place is pleasant. The birthday event was located in the art studio which was a decent sized event area towards the back of the center. Bathrooms are kept clean and frequently attended to. We are so glad that we chose Brea Community Center for our wedding reception. We used their Arts Garden outdoor space and it was perfect for what we needed. It's a great size for weddings with 100 people or less and the hanging lights and greenery add alone add a lot to the space, meaning we didn't have to spend a lot on decorations. Since they don't have a dressing room we rented out one of their "meeting rooms" and that was perfect for what we needed to change outfits in the middle of the reception. The Sunny Hills High School Class of 1973 celebrated our 50th reunion at the Brea Community Center - Arts Garden in late September. The evening was magical! Everyone had a fantastic time, the venue was just beautiful with garden lights adding a special touch. Rebecca Hart helped us every step of the way for the several months that we planned our event. Decided to have my sister's Bridal shower event here at the Brea community center considering the location and the space provided. Tianna was really helpful through the whole process. When I first had inquired about the spot (Art Studio) the date and location I wanted wasn't available, but when it opened up due to a last minute cancellation, Tianna contacted me right away. It worked out so perfectly! Art Studio fits 50 people with a lot of room to move around. The process was fairly easy, although there were a lot of things that were needed. Licensing for food vendors, security since we had alcohol, insurance, etc. On the day of the event, Mike was very helpful in helping to set up by unloading things from our car with carts as well as helping us wrapping up in the end. Would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for something close to home without a big hassle but make sure to book well in advance (6 months) just to make sure that the space isn't taken. read more

This week is my first time in over two years to return working out at the Brea Community Center Gym and I am encouraged by the many improvements they've done to protect customers - gym equipment have been re-installed to consider social distancing, an ample supply of disinfectant wipes are ready available from dispensers, and the facility in general seems to have been thoroughly cleaned. Their fees, especially for Brea residents are very reasonable, ranging from $13 to $20 a month; depending on the program. I really am looking forward to getting back to my workout routine after the pandemic. Of course, you still have to contend with a few juveniles and knuckleheads who don't follow rules by not wiping down equipment after they use them, or overly linger astride equipment as they fiddle around with their cellphones. Perhaps I should post their pictures next time...The one thing I would like to be known is the way they check members as they enter the gym. Their process is lax and they don't enforce it! read more

Good price if you prepay for six months, or better yet, a year. That price includes group classes which I haven't taken advantage of yet. Lots of senior citizens working out in the morning. Not many annoying meatheads like at "24 Hour"... thank God. Not a whole lot of equipment, but it's enough. My only real gripe... I wish they were open longer on weekends. Also, I wish they would require guests to wear masks. I don't want covid to derail my training. Oh well. This place is solid. Recommended! read more

Even though we had a gazillion questions, she was always so sweet, calm, and sincere to us when making any necessary changes. The Art Garden is a wonderful venue for a celebration. We felt as if we were in our own garden, surrounded by the the high walls, trees and lighting! We had about 100 people at tables, with dance area and dj, high tops and a bar and of course a banquet table. It was cozy, but still had lots of room to spare. One of the best parts of the garden is the staff, particularly Rebecca Hart. She was so easy to work with, was always prompt in answering my questions and was incredibly helpful (on her day off) in getting a fire permit for heaters that we needed at the last minute. She always made me feel as if my party were the only one she needed to take care of!!!! Stop looking....this is an excellent venue and I am so happy I selected it read more

I didn't realize how much Brea changed. The community center is nothing less than amazing. I had the pleasure of being part of a wedding hosted at the community center with Goose on the Rocks (private bartending service). We had approximately 200 guest and the venue was able to accommodate to all those guests and multiple vendors comfortably. There were plenty of parking and it wasn't far from the entrance either. Aside from the spaciousness which included an outdoor area with the banquet hall there were other things available at the center as well. There's a community gym and other available resources for the community. Moreover, the place was clean!! Great venue and definitely recommended for all you wedding location hunters. read more

For the price, this place is a steal. You can not find other venue at this price. It is nothing fancy but you can spend a little more on the decorations to make it pretty. We had our ceremony and reception all in the arts garden. It was a little hectic since they have to flip the ceremony into the reception area. The guests had to go to the side alley for cocktail hours. Other than that, everything went very smoothly. The staffs are easy to work with. My only complaint was toward the end of the wedding, no one came by to help clean up, so we had to clean each table by ourselves since we wanted to take back our table clothes. The two staffs did not come by at all until we asked them to. I guess they were really busy. Also when we first saw the place in November, the garden was super green and nice. We checked again a week before the wedding and all the plants was dead... that's was a little disappointing. read more
