I LOVE this place! I booked this place for my birthday party this year after I saw it being a photo booth vendor for another party a few years ago. I fell in love with the place and knew I had to throw a party here in the future for myself. Not only is it an awesome place, but it's very affordable to rent out for the evening as well! George, the owner, is so easy to work with and his staff that helped me out the night of my party (Javier & Gabriel) were awesome as well. They took care of mostly everything. Tables, chairs, linens, setup, teardown, staff, and a bartender. You can bring in your own drinks and their staff can bartend your event for you. It's very spacious and can fit a good amount of people. I had about 120 attending my event and there wasn't a tight spot in the place - except maybe the bar because everyone was getting wasted! LOL. Parking is also super easy. There's a parking structure DIRECTLY behind the venue that's cheap.

Oh Knotted Apron, you've done it again! Was so impressed by the Game Day class last month that I just had to come back for Chophouse Classics. Needless to say, I will be returning for another class and hope to make it to the Chef Throwdown. Our fantastic chef and sous chef for the night were Porsche and George. Porsche gave us so many useful tips on slicing, dicing, meat preparation, and baking. On top of that, she was funny and and sharp as the knives we used. She expertly guided us in preparing our bacon blue cheese wedges, hasselback potatoes, bacon and tomato jam glazed ribeyes, and chocolate hazelnut tortes. The evening was one great course after another. Even the music selection complimented the menu! If you plan on bringing your own beverages to sip on while you cook and eat, they will happily store your items in their large fridge. They also offer to-go containers in case you don't end up finishing your meal. Thanks again, Knotted Apron, for helping me sharpen my skills and adding new recipes to my cooking arsenal. Shallot Shalom!

Recently had my wedding here and from the day we booked the experience was easy and quick! Through the year from the time we booked til the wedding day George was quick to respond and answer any and all questions. We booked the outdoor gazebo area which is beautifully lit up and has a ton of space. We were able to go a few days before to discuss set up and have a small rehearsal the day before ( also because the area wasn't booked the day before. ) the staff was super helpful throughout the wedding. We did unfortunately get rain about 2 hours in but luckily we were able to move inside the bar area as we didn't have a ton of people so it was perfect! Before we knew it everything was moved inside except for the taco guy. He was set up under an awning outside so the rain didn't affect his set up. Clean up was also done by the staff. Thank you so much for such a positive experience for such a special day!

Amazing location! Reserved this venue for my sisters birthday and everything was amazing. I first contacted the owner George thru Yelp which he responded to the same day. Arranged to meet same week. Once we saw the venue we were immediately convinced and left a deposit right away for the date we were looking for. We had full communication via email with George before the event. The day finally came and George and his team were amazing. The location is very nice needs little decor. George provided the tablecloth and we just added the center pieces to the tables. We also had a live band. They offer catering but we provided our own and also brought our own refreshments and alcohol. The teams was very helpful accommodating and very polite to some of our crazy guest. Great bartender as well. highly recommend The Knotted Apron!

My company provided dj/emcee services this past weekend for Alexander & Dorine Cervnates Wedding reception inside this hidden gem...very private location within Uptown Whittier on Greenleaf...Only advise for dj's if they set you up in front of the glass windows bring an umbrella so the sun isn't blazing on your gear.

I can write an essay on this place lol but I'll try to keep short & sweet I had my daughters sweet 16 I booked in April of 2018 and her event was November 2018 Everything was smooth sailing never no issues and I am forever grateful to George The venue is classy timeless there is so much you can do and my Parisian theme fit perfect for it I mean perfection not one thing wrong George staff was freakn amazeballs i was able to set up the night before and even with my quick meltdown George was a true gentleman and patient a real professional!! The day of my event everything went smoothly even with the caterer George had recommended which u will find in my reviews it was just perfect I had space for everything and I had several different backdrops & tables huge photo booth and dj set up The place fits everything had 100+guest No problem!! Parking structure right behind so ur guests don't have to waste their time searching for parking spots!!! There were two bathrooms which was great for the guests and a lounge space to get away from the loads of fun if you just wanted to talk and chill And no one not no one (and I looked for 4months before I booked here)could beat this price No One!! Please check this place out for ur future event I know this is not my last event at this venue Thank you George and staff My heroes

My son's graduation party was a complete success thanks to George and his amazing staff at The Knotted Apron! Perfect and intimate spot for any event.

Amazing little hidden gem in Uptown Whittier. Perfect for a wedding. This venue is warm and welcoming. Thank you George for everything you did for my husband and I.. for making sure everything was ready to go (even with it pouring hours before my wedding.. to it flooding and and adding last min canopies and heaters... to being a bartender for me when mine decided not to show) I can't thank you enough. You are a man with many hats and patience. I highly recommend the Knotted Apron for any type of event. This venue is very clean with an amazing team. I love that it is indoor and outdoor with a vintage look. Thanks again!

I have to say me and my friend took beer cooking class and we had such an amazing time. We made this amazing roated beet salad with a dressing made with beer that was to die for. We have officially became vip members and will continue to go, great chef and employees. Thank you for an amazing and fun experience you made fans out of us. The Virgo Foodies

I ordered a half tray of lumpia and a half tray of turon and they arrived hot, fresh, and crispy! I definitely enjoyed a few before bringing it to work. The turon was especially good because it wasn't overly sweet like others I've had. There's is just the right amount! The order was delivered about 15 minutes before the scheduled time and it went very smoothly; very friendly service with the delivery guy. There were other trays of lumpia and turon at the potluck but my coworkers raved about the flavor and crispiness of the food from Pinot Eats. I highly recommend them for your catering needs and I'm definitely saving their number for all of mine. Thanks Pinoy Eats!

We had a premiere party at Castle Green in December where your only choice for catering by contract with the building is Little Lily's Kitchen. Kari and Booke were very nice, but their prices were insane for what we needed. In any case, we moved forward with an 8K invoice for a "finger-food" order for 250. When we found only 70 had RSVPd, we obviously had to honor our non-refundable contract for the 8K, which we did in good faith and ahead of schedule. But since we were at 1/3 capacity, I asked for an additional choice of finger food, which they did. The problem came in the fact that we paid for 6 servers and received 3. The food didn't begin circulating (by a very sweet wait staff) until 45 minutes after guests arrived and then it was very intermittent with many never receiving food. For 8K I expected non-stop food for our 70 guests, instead what I got (and didn't find out till later) was a lot of hungry people. On top of that, we had 16 guests report stomach issues the next morning - the commonality being goat cheese. When I addressed this to Brooke and Kari, I was not looking for a refund - after all, maybe it was a stomach virus that circulated within 24 hours, but I was dismayed by the fact that they didn't respond at all- zero, zip, nothing, not even a thank you for our business. It was the BIGGEST ripoff I've ever experienced with a caterer. For anyone having an event at Castle Green that doesn't involve a very large payout for the owners, buyer beware.
